Well engineer can stealth, they can jump further than any other class with a spesific skillcombo, which allos them to reach places other’s cant or do huge shortcuts. they can drop oil to knockdown ppl. they also got most launches. a bit less tanky than ele. both are very high skillcap. basicly the class of utlity the good thing with this is that you can work together and skip trough tons of mobs. you can send me a pm if you want tips how you can combo things together.

Elemtalist, better damage and better tankynes. better for large scale combat.

imagine caltrops + daggerstorm + cb spam on a zerg with this signet zerker + clerics.

i calculated 42000 hp with just caltrops and daggerstorm on a 30 man zerg WITHOUT healing gear.

NB: i have nothing against you buddy. But you never think twice of your suggestions, you post thousands which arent even thought trough twice it looks like. its just a advice. you are a nice person. you just need to rethink before you post. and think both ways. both the need for a buff and the overbuff. just look at LS. it got kinda overbuffed. since fs was worst skill in the GAME before. now its slightly op. and this would be SUPER OP

Dacello, cant you just stop with these kitten suggestions on warrior and thief. you are driving 90 % of the community mad, try to think realisticly. healing for 250 pr attack is horrible op. (caltrops, ds, db, cluster, poison gas,pw and so on….) Lets take this as an example if you fight a 3 + group you basicly heals 750 pr autoattack with bow RANGE without ANY Healing power. imagine a full healingbuild dagger storm in a zerg… i would rather add somthing like stronger active heal, better scaling or gives you some iniative back, disorientation on channel and 1 second after or somthing like that would make it viable instead of making it super OP

D/D, 0 30 30 10 0 will be able to pull of higher 1 vs x if played right though. easyer to manuver, and if you are on the move, Chasing/fleeing d/d will be better due to easy backstabs precast c&nd, backstab. or cloaking at walls. and most imporant less timewindow used to stealth up, it takes 3/4 sec to stealth with d/d 1-2 secs with d/p. and makes d/d more dynamic. and higher timewindow free to use to positoning, dodging and such. however if you prefer easy mode go d/p.

Pwnzor, Hey il do it short, but isnt really sitation that differs in this, its mostly prefered terrain, due to d/p being way better in tight spaces with limited area for movement, while d/d requires tons of positoning and such, but as a winback we do more damage, and can backstab more often. d/p got around 10 % MORE than d/d in survablity. personally i prefer d/d, due to d/d being mostly stronger in large 1 vs x, but d/p is more easy to play though. mostly diffrence of scout (d/p) and skirmisher D/D

situation 2: 1v2 D/P
situation 3: 1v3 D/D
situation 4: XvX (small and medium teams) Variates
situation 5: Zergs D/D

What if snaff had a copy of him self placed in the wizard tower in kessex hills, he might be the ’’wizard’’ that lives there. as snaff was a master of golemancy and mesmerism, he could easly have transfered his mind onto the golem of him self placed there, that might also explain the precence of the arcane eye.

THIEF

  • The Thief uses a variety of Techniques. His First two skills are Chain Skills instead of one like every other weapon in the game, letting you inflict a number of conditions as you go through the chains.
  • Using either skill 1 or skill 2 advances both chains.
  • Skill 2 Chain still costs Initiative to use however.
  • There is no Dualwield skill because I am not yet sure of what to put there for the Pistol and Dagger, of if I should create a new set of off Dualwield skills for the Gauntlet. Anyone who plays the thief alot wants to help me, it would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, remove the conditions, we only got 3 viable direct damage sets which is unacceptable, thats why we need direct damage not noobish condtions, and that shadowstep thingie can launch a foe a short distance and knock them down for a half second like a trip kick. but aside from that great ideas!

Well. The classical d/p is best in tight spaces, d/d is best at open terrain, and s/d is best against heavy boon builds. p/d is for lame condtion guys. so i will say both yishis’s build with d/d and the one with d/p is the best for wvwvw roaming in the game still.

Hello guys, im Thokir Deathbolt, a thief from far shiverpeaks, and i tought thief is broken, as right now we are only viable at ONE thing and that is small scale wvwvw, thats why these kids cry about nerfs. We need both buffs and nerfs. Il start out with the buffs.

BUFF:
First i tought we might need to increase our amount of viable weapon combinations as right now we have 3 out of 7 weaponcombinations viable for direct damage, which is unacceptable. il start out with the shortbow.

Shortbow:
Autoattack needs 1200 range AND better damage/refire rate.
And instead of a poison field we could get a smoke field, and no it wouldnt be op dude to blast finisher only providing 1 second of stealth. i know we loose aoe weakness but i prefer aoe stealth for short duration. this would certainly make shortbow more viable.

Main hand pistol:
Autoattack needs instant cast, body shot needs to be a 600 range targeted intant teleport with no additional effects.

Pistolwhip needs to remove the evade and the root.

Ok guys that was the weapons, the last buff we now need is moving a tier up on hp, i know thief is meant to be the sqishy guy, but hey we are a primlary melee class.

Blackpowder needs one second less duration. and each time a thief enters stealth he get a 15 vuln equal to how long he stack it. cloak and dagger needs to not apply vuln.
and pistol stealth attack needs to make the player stationary for the fire and cripple him for 4 seconds. but apply 2 more bleedstacks. (shadowsteps blocked for the cripple duration)


Isnt much, but it would fix the thief competly, make us a viable choice for both pve, wvwvw and spvp. and not to op in roaming. but still the best

Well, however i would love this it isnt possible, would create tons of issues, imagine human t3 medium with that rainbow dye, wouldnt fit together with the skin. as an example, no sorry i dont think it will work out, BUT T we might get dyes for weapons

There was mention of adding new weapons to the game, but not new skills to weapons. In a news post they mentioned adding new skills but didn’t specify weapon skills.

i honestly cant see them adding all the weapons to every class…an engineer with a scepter and focus? a thief with a greatsword? that just wouldn’t make sense in this game…

no i think they will add new weapon types to each class instead
warrior would get the great axe and a melee spear
rangers would get a throwing spear, recurve and hornbow.
engineers would get an actual sniper rifle
necromancers would get scythes
elementilists could be given one or two new elements(darkness and light)
mesmers would get the rapier. i do suppose they could be given the throwing spear and the great axe as well
guardians would get the throwing spear and the great axe
thiefs…im honestly not sure about here…i suppose some sort of claw type weapon or something like that

Dude…. you know adding a weapon requires you to design 42 weaponskins, animate new animantons. and code EACH kitten version of it, level 20 masterwork mighty polearm, level 30 fine scythes, level 70 rare trowing spear, and this is ONE weapon, imagine when you add so many weapons. you would need whole anet for a YEAR. and that is not gonna happen as you are almost DOUBELING the amounts of waepons right?

Tip, dont use whiteish or blackish colours on the glow atm, makes it look turned off, if you gave it a colour like red/blue/purple/green and such it would be nicer.
