Really? Rangers not to harass you guys but when you play glassy pure range specs you cant come at the forum and shout for us thieves to be nerfed… Everything got a hard counter for example we hit backstab stealth thieves are weak to engineers. when you run pure glassy you cant espect to survive a thief. Play a defensive or a half defensive spec before you come here shouting at the forums i used about 20 minutes to kill a spirit ranger think on that… so try somthing defensive or just deal with it.

Now…. About skills…. No skill in the game could have more dmg than a backstab….

Thief is actually on the lower-end of the burst spectrum.

Well Jumper… Yes thats an fact for SPVP But soon as you think WvWvW It becomes competly diffrent a 0 30 30 10 0 spec can do Cloak->backstab->HS burst if he got bloodlust and guardkiller. and his foe is downed :P so they actually got very high burst for wvwvw together with quite good survablity. But yes for spvp they are very low on almost everything. XD

none of them would win atm but the asuras has no way to get into black citadel without getting crushed however the charr has no means of getting into a floating laser cannon by the size of new york a mile above the ground so the answer is they would exterminate the others army if the asuras got an army -.- xD

Thief has higher damage than warrior infact it sjust that warriors are great at selfbuffing if you put 25 might on the thief and 25 vuln on the target a cloak and dagger —→ backstab --—> AA —→ repeat rotation will do the highest damage in the game infact.

Thieves can stealth and got highest moblity, mesmers can create clones, engineers got heavy aoe CC, ele got got fantastic self heal, condi clear and good moblity, necros got aoe fear and deathshroud, rangers got high tanky specs

dont know if theives actually have highest mobility, they can avoid fights with stealth though, but the PVE meta is moving to heavy conditions and CC which theif doesnt have good answers for

Thief do have highest moblity thats a known fact dude. and thieves dont need to fight more than like 10 % of targets XD

Hey im also leveling a elem and i killed a vet 3 levels above me in 4 secs :P its about keeping your gear up to your level and a good way to do vets is untargeted fgs 4 trough im and icebow 4 on him then fire 3 —> 4 --→5 if not dead by then earthquake + churming earth then air AA to death XD

The premise is correct. These are the fundamentals of most Thaumanova theories. But it doesn’t answer the elusive questions of just what the reactors were for. I detail more possibilities here and here.

Take your ideas further. You two points that you’re making are:
1. The reactor was built under a city (This point is probably irrelevant to the purpose of the reactor)
2. It was powered by chaos crystals.

So then, to what end? What were the inquest trying to do with this power? Some of the stronger theories (IMO) cite the infusion of this chaos/dragon energy into other creatures. Some creatures can take the energy better than others. The ‘weaker’ ones combust, causing huge explosions like the one in the Sparkfly Fen map (south east exit). This accounts for why they have the various environments represented in each reactor. To house different creatures for this experimentation.

There is more to the thaumanova energy source than the chaos crystals. Check out the Thaumacore Inquiry Center in Brisbane Wildlands. You’ll see that the Inquest are sapping power from husks in the Toxol Bog, this is being transferred back to a thaumacore (the refined source of thaumanova power). The husks (and oakheart-style treants) seem to have a special property to them. Is it a coincidence that the Clockheart was a treant? Maybe, maybe not.

So, it goes MUCH deeper than what you propose here, but you’re certainly on the right track.

Well why did we men invent the nuculear reactors? And this thaumanova power in the toxol bog actually lies incredible close to the reactor the source is from the reactor but it got an heavy hit in the toxal bog. and that the chaos crystals was KRAKLATORRIK that was an imporant point but thanks for your reply i tried to answer it as good as i could and i hope we ppl at the forums can get deep into this and see how close we get too the fractal and what happens there

To promote new play you could do stuff like this, but quick note im not a WoW fanboy ive actually not even played it due to it being such an awful game XD

HEAL/UTULITY/SUPPORT THINGIE
have dungeons that inflict the dwayna statue effect (disable skill 6) but at the same time 100 % healing on you from allies. and 20 % boonduration for you. perhaps have things like a gap which you need a 600 range leap to pass by to activate a switch and pass by. perhaps have you deal less damage to bosses but they’re more vulnerable to vulnerablity this would promote the debuffing aspect.

TANK:
or and give bosses continusly 10 k hits, which is just basehp of the lowest hp classes,
continusly 10 k damage can be lowered to around 5 k and it becomes so frequent you cant dodge it all and perhaps have like a taunt ability

DPS: (yes dps but not diret damage thats fine already BUT)
You could easly remove condi limit on champ/legendary people easly.

Well there is several reasons combined with erchoter that makes this impossibole unforunatly. you will need atleast a living story patch to evolve such, you cant just evolve somthing and it can probiliary create isssues with PS. and it aint intresting enough to be a living story patch even as there is no fighting in the black citadel but the bane no enemy has even a little chance of getting inside the black citadel unnoticed only really few lorewise could be able to do so, caithe and player thieves everyone else has no chance which means they couldnt bring in someone which tried to stop it —> No action —> no LS patch.

Now that the thaumanova fractal is coming out in a few days i tought id come with a summary about what happened to the thaumanova reactor, what is going to happend and what it is. Well im gonna start out with that thaumanova is an ancient asuran city which is proven by a NPC right outside the thaumanova reactor a researcher he says it in a say bubble sometimes im gonna pinpoint his location on a pic down below.
many of you might know this. but ive seen a lot of ppl which dont know this especially woodenpotatoes on his thamanova theory on youtube which he havent seen that dialogue.

so we got it etablished that thaumanova was an city that also explains like the thaumanova power all over the world which basicly means its energy and techonology from that blown up city. The thaumanova reactor however was an inquest facility BENEATH the large asuran city which is seen by the ruins that does not seem like they belong in the reactor it self. the reactor is basicly a nuculear reactor that went wrong they used chaos energy from kraklatorik as proven by the chaos caverns jumpingpuzzle its crystals which —> kraklatorik. they used that energy like we use radiation matirials to try to make power. so somthing went wrong and it basicly became a nuculear meltdown. which took the city and the reactor in its blast. in addition it created chaos rifts which is due to kraklatorik combined with the radtiation this is probilary what they ment that the reactor ment somthing in the lore.

I belive this dungeon will be:
You will probiliary come in right after its blown up and see chaos while inquest tries to calm down the sitation you might even play as one of them and try to calm down chaos beasts. Kinda like COE just that youre inquest there is no enemy players and you fight against chaos beasts and try to harness the sitation i belive at the same time as much of this theory gets told inside it and comes with new lore.

Actually what happened is that thaumanova was an large asuran city (about size of rata sum) There was an inquest reactor trying to get infinite energy out of elder dragon energy. (Nuculear reactor just replace radiation with energy from kraklatorrik (chaos energy and crystal theme if you for example go in the chaos caverns jp you’l see more relations just dig into it

Asura vs Charr technology

Ok im going to break it down into a tech vs tech and full on war.
In tech asuras are superior over charr in direct due to they can make objects fly with magitech, they can open portals to the future, build golems, theyre tech focused but puny in statue and they lack explosive direct power.

However the charr got explosive power and engineering abilities combined with a body built for warfare. and asura/charr both got HEAVY defened captials, asuras got a floating pyramids a kilometer or somthing like that above the ground, they’re armed with skyhammers all over the place probiliary and got all strange types of devices like a engineer shield 4 mega version with whole rata sum :P
Meanwhile the charr got a huuge standby army walking around in black citadel, 2 just as defened capitials north of them, 100 times the amount of soliders and they’re more ogranized armies and a charr can prolly take about 5 asuras at once in direct force. They also got nukes and explosive power they could just unleash bombs on the asura army and they all would die while the asuras lack direct force they got many devices and can prolly take out anything with their lasers, and no they cant just teleport into black citadel with asura gates due to charr’s are stand by with explosives on the gate soon as somthing pose a threat the gate opreatur (charr) blows the whole kitten up.

Summary, asuras got higher tech but in direct warfare none would be able to conqer the other one without just drying up their army asuras dont even got an army just peacemakers which is more of a police.

Staff ele are the best healers unforunatly, geyseer + healinrain + AA + soothing mist + most healin skills are water fields. in additon you get line of warding thing just like guardians + stuncircle + aoe swiftness as guardian too EVEN a lot of AOE.

A good way to tone down our stealth without making it break us is that T targeting such that your opponent is just visibile (less than for the thief him self does) And no nametag. That could work and give people means of countering us. Maybe give us somthing like heal and condi removal on dodge like a acrobatics grandmaster trait or somthing like that, that would promote evade thief a lot to create a lot of build diversity, or buff sigil of malice? Perhaps give us protection even some aoe pull like an aoe 500 radius scorpion wire elite or somthing like that. That would increase our ability to teamplay/tank which fills the two roles we lack in and tones down our Skirmisher/dps ablity.

The thing that people need to understand that we thieves got no other options than stealth, and stealth in this game if you tone it down just slightly we’l be left with nothing as its either a lot of stealth or nothing just just how anet designed the class. We got no other means of playin if you increased our HP to tier 2 and same about our healing, and then in addition redesigned all our stealth sklls to be viable in other ways instead give us offhand sword and then we can talk about nerfing stealth.

Well the easiest 80 champion is the MARK golem champion in ORR if you bring projecitle reflect you can do like 11 k noncrit reflect… but the easiest champion overall is one in that charr starting zone a ghost champion that spawns when you interact with a torch. it takes like 5-6 backstabs from a balanced roaming thief.

Ive played D/D since november guys, and a tip is that do not invest 10 points into deadlyarts without using health stack guard killer buff, before that use 10 into acrobatics for falldamage The trick to D/D is to play defansive untill you get an opportunity then you nuke, go back in stealth and repeat basicly.

The best way to make a boss is to have freqent almost 1hk attacks and add a lot of mechanics like the molten facility boss which was fantastic, and how about you have to jump on a elder dragon’s back and place knives with magical treads tied to them all over hi’s body while i slash after you with his tail and summon a lot of the strongest minons on it with hard CC and you could easily fall off and die then if your party manges to take like 20 knives on right places you can jump off and pull the dragon to pieces there is many diffrent ways you can do it to make nice bosses.

Its to much compared to work to make that could rather go to improving the game for the whole playerbase it would be better if they added a hardcore version of each dungeon that each costed 5 gold to enter, rewarded 10 gold + 150 tokens if you die you get trown out and replaced downscaling diffukitteny to it become just as hard for 4 people kitten . and all bosses did high substained damage like 9000 damage on a 2000 armored target, and all bosses did that on like a 5 secs cooldown that would help out support and tank specs a lot. dungeons could do somthing like this:

AC

The dungeon could be about hunting and killing warmaster grast. (makes sense due to ghosts do reanimate).

CM

Finding proof and arresting Caudecus (Makes sense as he would easly get the proof destroyed and easly would talk him self out)

Stuff like that, and a 5 gold fee and 10 gold + 150 tokens + hard substained damage content and trowout on death

Hai now that wintersday is approching i am super hyped, but then i looked back at last year/this year haloween i suddenly got panic and saw that i needed to make this post IJMMITEDLY. As wintersday last year is the best patch ive ever experinced any game. competly perfect enviroment, great characters, highly motivating, and very entertaining, especially all the games! There was only 1 bad thing about it and that was that choir minigame if you replaced that with a pvp activity like you could pick Dwayna/Grenth then you got spesific skills for that then you had like 5v5 with these skills the winner gets 1 point, the one that get most point in the whole patch affects future living story.

Haloween this year was none of these things it was non rewarding, unentertaining, and the story was meh, half of the content from last year was removed and only thing they added was 2 small story instances….

Summary:
Please do not screw up wintersday as you did with haloween.
