Earlier people have reported better success rate with the 1x recipe compared to the 10x recipe.
in 132984598675094434549 attempts the average chances is 1/3.
However, just because you have 1/3 chance to get something doesnt mean you will get one every 3rd time you try. you may get 5 clovers in a row then not 1 in 10 attempts.
with 1/3 (33.33%) chance to get a clover you have 2/3 (66.6666%) chance of not getting any in every attempt
yes, that and the sigil you use to create the weapon is the difference between them when it comes to the cost of the weapon.
Crafting is one way to get best stats on weapons in the game, however, that all you get, best stats. If you want different skins you will have to obtain them elsewhere.
Seeing that 100 000s of people have max stats in all crafting skills there is little to no point in having new and better skins added to crafting. Because the moment the skins is released everyone will have one and the trade post would be flooded with the items in less than a day.
The fact that you can’t make money on items is that you gain overall experience from crafting. Thus the cost of materials is worth more than the items themselves, because you also pay for the experience in the price of the materials used for crafting. There is a few items here and there in crafting you can make money on. Its not easy to find these items so few know which items that actually bring some profit.
The only use crafting have at this point is to create a legendary weapon.

All rare weapon drops I get I put into the mystic forge in the hope of getting a precursor.
I want dawn or dusk for legendary, but any precursor will help along the way.
Alongside that I have started to get the items needed for Gift of Mastery and Gift of Fortune.
Still have a little karma to go and about 260 badges of honor before I can make the Gift of Mastery.
For Gift of Fortune I have started to create mystic clovers. I salvage any rare armor drop I get and use the ecto’s to get the clovers. I also save all T6 materials I get for the other half of the recipe.
However, im still very very far away from having a legendary anytime soon.
Since a legendary takes so long time to obtain I went for Norn cultural armor T3, which cost 119g + cost of runes on it. Better to have an awesome armor now than wait til after I get a legendary.

Only problem is that they most likely want us to waste bank space on the items because when we are full of all kinds of items we cant store as collectable, we need to buy more bank space.

Just because you and your team dont understand what to do doesnt mean anything. Its a new dungeon and new content and no one have done it before. its obvious that you have to figure out what to do.
for the march you have such problems with the point is to put the far away wasps into the three trees. However, if you dont coordinate they will reset as all have the same timer from when the first is picked up. the roads my block but you can easily jump over it. Let me point out that its possible to do from any distance. you just need to know where to jump over the blocked paths and avoid traps. the 2 is dont carry wasps need to help the other 3.
the fractal dungeon have no waypoint because the only way to resurrect is to have someone heal you on your team or the whole team dies. When the whole team dies you go back to checkpoint just like in any personal story.
it is possible to finish it easily without any team speak or whatever.
Even if the road is blocked you can still jump over it on the side where it was just blocked.
also the timer start as soon as 1 person take a wasp, so you ned to coordinate a little and its important to help those who are far away. But it is possible to complete from any distance.
If you buy the chests its your own fault if you get items worth nothing. same goes for wasting 100s of gold in hte mystic forge for precursor.
Anet have listed the good stuff from the new chests rare and very rare. Its obvious you will waste a lot of money if you buy more than 1 hoping to get a rare item to sell for xxxxxxxxx amount of gold. if your greedy you lose for sure.
Crafting is an expensive way to level up and at this point most items is worth more in materials than the crafted item itself. Also you level way too fast to be able to level crafting and create your own gear.
The main reason to level crafting is to create a legendary. other than that you should wait to level crafting until you have the gold to waste on crafting.
On the other hand once these items comes out tomorrow it is likely that the price for buying and selling gems will go higher. you might get lucky and lose little no nothing if people really want the new gem items.
If you make a buy order on exotic armor and someone sell it to you, then its very likely to be cheaper than making it. I dont know about all items but most items is around cost price of mats or a little under.
I for one never understand this although popular viewpoint, just wrong imo.
When I make something and put it on the AH it costs me almost nothing I have all the mats except thread usually which is minor. So if I sell something I am just about 99% profit
You shouldn’t be able to buy all the mats to create something else then make a profit on that
It is because of people like you the crafting market is usually a big loss of money.
Just because you have the mats doesnt mean they dont have any value.
In 99% of the cases you would have made more money by selling the mats instead of crafting an item. Especially when the price you sell the item for is below the total value of the mats used to craft it.
400 crafting is already pretty much redundant at this point since too many people already have one or more at 400. only purpose 400 crafting have at this point is to make legendary weapons.
Whatever you decides to do im pretty sure getting tailoring to 400 is cheaper than buying the recipe on another character.
If some armor sets were to be able to be upgraded it should be cultural tier 3 armor.
right now T3 cultural armor cost 120g (most expensive armor in the game) and is only rare. should at least have been exotic but up gradable to Ascend would be nice for a decent price.
right now nothing. There is many who speculate that the T5 and T6 mats will become harder to obtain after the event on this coming weekend. thus buying up lots and lots of materials. The result have over doubled the price on some of the mats and others gone up a lot too.
Anet getting rid of bots who also add lots of mats to the market helps as well.
if I were you id wait to the market stabilizes, if not you risk spending lots more gold than you want.
And if you dont do that and decides to go forward with leveling crafts, then I sugges you do one you need.
Also, you should only have 2 crafting professions at 400 pr character. because it cost money to change and if you have all 8 craftings on 1 character you lose a lot of money changing back and forth. in fact you will over time end up paying many times the amount of gold you spent on leveling all 8 crafting professions trough switching between them as you need to craft a few items in one and a couple more in another.
Because they have no reason to make it too complicated for themselves.
+ if you ran the event on different times people could transfer over from a server which just had the events finished to one that the event is currently on going.
And if you were to have 10000s of people transferring to a different server in a short about of time would certainly make things complicated for anet.
Suggestion: Make Cultural armor tier 3 exotic.
Why on earth is cultural armor tier 3 not exotic from the start??? It do not make sense that the most expensive armor in the game which cost 119 gold to buy is only rare.
Tier 1 & 2 is more understandable as to why its rare, but not tier 3.
please make cultural armor tier 3 exotic asap.
The basic is sell to npc merchant all white, blue and green items. salvage yellow and orange with master salvage kit. However, not all yellow and orange is worth salvaging especially if their worth a lot.
Its not so easy to remove bots from the game. once the boots is banned or deleted the people who use them will create more and is always updating the bot program(s) to make it better and less detectable. so Anet will always continue to battle the bots.
It will continue to go on until we see whats in the large patch 15th november. After that the prices could fall down towards the prices we have had before the bubble started. However, all depends on whats in the content of the upcoming patch.
I doubt they have even touched the drop rates. Keys is a rare drop and the easiest way to get some is to complete an area and get one as a reward or as a reward for personal story.
besides your better off buying blue transmutation stones directly as there is only a tiny chance to get them and the salvage kit.
You could get 400 in all crafting professions on 1 character, however, it would depend on if you want a legendary on your mesmer or other character. Some items and parts of a legendary is soulbound and others is account bound. in worst case you might need to level two of the same crafting professions to 400 if you would want legendary on another character.
as for moneymaking in crafting no one will tell you. few items give you a decent profit when it comes to crafted items. most that do give a small profit is not the items you need level 400 to craft. And if everyone knew what items would be good for moneymaking then it would only take a day or two before those items would be worthless.
Also the excotics that you can craft look ugly as …. compared to other armor/weapons you can get easily.
Why would you want to pay 3g for an ugly weapon when all you need to do is 6-7 paths in 1 dungeon over a couple of days to get a good looking weapon ?
If it gets easier to get a precursor, the precursor prices might drop on the TP depending on how Anet do it. However, what few have thought about or havent mentioned is that if this happens the prices on all other items for legendary weapons will most likely increase in cost. It will be because it will be easier to obtain precursor thus more people will start or rush towards a legendary. It will mostly be the rarer items that increase in price since ores and bar and the like have a large supply to meet the demands.
Legendary Precursor is the least of your problems. if you were to buy most if the items needed for Legendary weapons the cost would easily be more than the precursor. (no I havent got one yet but im not in a hurry)
