Would people PLEASE stop coming into these posts and making them all about WoW vs GW2. The original post had nothing to do with WoW. It’s a silly argument – and if people want to have that discussion, Im sure they can find dozens of threads on non-GW2 forums to do so.

And grats to GW2. I personally agree with this decision by Gamespot. This game is awesome.

Guild Bank Robbed

in Account & Technical Support

Posted by: Blaeys.3102

Blaeys.3102

We are not able to offer replacement of stolen guild items. Account restorations are simply that: they restore an individual account to its previous state. The ability to restore a shared feature, such as the guild bank, is completely outside the functionality of the process of restoring an individual account.

We are looking into the possibility of having such a feature in the future, but it is not something that we can offer at this time.

How about adding a new feature that only the leaders can withdaw things from the Guild Bank? Also a PIN system? I know im asking for alot of things, cause i really love this game. I want my account fixed so i can enjoy it more, but im stuck waitting. After work i wait, i stand up and do my daily chores then i wait, i cant stand this anymore. Cause i enjoy the game so much, i miss my friends…

The guild leader already controls who can and cannot withdraw from the guild bank. It’s just the matter of unchecking a box. It’s been there since launch.

I think this is the answer, TheLunaticDawn. Just as they should take good care in selecting members, officers, and co-leaders, guild leaders also should take care in giving access to the bank and should probably not give it to any- and everyone. There are controls and preventative measures to prevent this sort of abuse, and as I mentioned, we’ll look at the possibility of more guild-related features in the future.

There is one additional problem – there is no check box (that I can find) for the “deep cave” (third unlocked guild bank tab), so there is no way to restrict access to that part of the guild bank.

Discussion about the DR system - Merged thread

I play alot and I have never once experienced diminishing return.

Play the game as it was obviously intended. Dont stand in one area (or even stay in the same zone) repeating the same small number of events over and over for hours. That isnt heroic and it isnt fun. Branch out, tackle new events you havent been to in a few days, switch between farming mobs and tackling dynamic events – there is plenty to do to keep DRs from kicking in.

One of my favorite things to do is start at one end of a zone and work my way through it. In most zones, you make a fair amount of coin and karma doing this – and it is fun.

People keep looking for an easy/simple way to acquire mats for their legendaries. The thing is, if it were easy or simple, then they wouldnt be legendary.

Stop looking for shortcuts and play the game.

Thanks. GW2 is growing solid

Every game loses people (in terms of people playing at max level regularly) in the first three months. Guild Wars 2 is no exception and doesnt seem to be losing any more than any other. There are still plenty of people playing regularly and the population is leveling out (becoming solid).

The only problem I see is that the game experience varies greatly based on your server population, meaning there are a handful of servers that dont feel just right. A few server merges (it is time) to compensate for the natural attrition and things would be fine.

I think this would be a great idea – and from an outside point of view, it seems like it would be doable.

That said, it is time to merge the bottom 5-6 least populated servers. It feels like we havent had the Gates of Arah or any of the temples on my server for the past 2 weeks – and events in zones like Mt Maelstrom or Fireheart have become impossible to finish.

Unrestricted Guesting

in Suggestions

Posted by: Blaeys.3102

Blaeys.3102

Right now, it is my understanding that guesting – when it is implemented – will be restricted to servers where you currently have friends.

If guesting is, instead, made without this restriction, it would potentially alleviate some of the issues with dead events or zones. At worst, those wanting to could seek out realms where the zone they want to play is more active – at best, larger scale zone efforts could be coordinated through the forums.

I know there are downsides and roadblocks to this – and that guesting has to actually be in the game first – but I think it is a compromise worth considering.

The other option, which has been suggested already, would be use of the overflow mechanic – only in reverse – to ensure zones are populated.

Either way, I think it is time to do something. The 5 zones listed as “high” in North America are struggling pretty bad when it comes to dynamic event participation right now.

It isnt just a matter of not having enough to do there.

The game has fallen victim to the issue of giving us to much to do in to many different places. Lvl 80s can be split across every zone in the game, dungeons, fractals, sPvP, WvW and the lookieloos in LA (compounded further by holiday events).

This gives the feeling of the zones being dead – especially on worlds like mine where the population is struggling already (listed as high right now).

Creative implementation of overflow (underflow?) servers into the game would probably fix this and make all of these zones much more interesting.

How to kill Princess dolls?

in Wintersday

Posted by: Blaeys.3102

Blaeys.3102

Another tactic is to take advantage of other mobs of enemies around the boxes. Dont kill that huge group of grawl (whatever) nearby – instead, open the box, and kite the dolls (or whatever) into them. They will fight each other. Then you can come in and mop up the remains.

beyond that – simply clear conditions/remove boons/dont attack when you have too many stacks of confusion/CC when possible.

I could see them being an issue for pure glass cannons, but using basic skills such as the above, Ive been able to solo them on my mesmer, necro and warrior (who is lvl 15) consistently. Crowd controls definitely work the best. a well of darkness on my necro gives me a window where I can pure dps down enough of the princess dolls to make it easier.

Linking all servers together for PvE

Blaeys.3102

I agree, I have 2 accounts, 1 account is on a low-pop PVE server and another on a server with quite high WvW activity, both have dead PVE zones. it’s a litttle depressing to see zones that Anet put so much work into to make amazing like Fields of Ruin and Bloodtide Coast completely empty. A simple solution would be to allow us to elect to go to overflow.

This is why I camped out until 5 am one weeknight and transferred my toons to a high-pop, low wvwvw server. The difference is night and day.

Unfortunately, this is the solution that many people are taking – and you cannot blame them.

It does, however, just make a bad issue worse.

Things like raising the cap (freeing up the already full worlds for transfers and new players) and issues in WvW are bleeding players away from servers like mine – making zones feel that much emptier most of the time. And we cannot even count on getting the new players because of the raise in the world population cap. Even Lion’s Arch – during the holiday events – feels empty much of the time. We saw overflows when the event first started, but almost none since.

I cant leave the server Im on – because of my guild and the connections weve made with the greater server community. At the same time, that server is struggling and needs help.

We need some kind of change to fix this – either the idea postulated in this thread (which I support) or server merges. The game isnt as much fun when there are few people to play alongside.

Linking all servers together for PvE

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Blaeys.3102

This has been suggested on the servers before. I would absolutely love it if they did something like this.

Some servers seem to be fine, but I know there are some (like mine) where many events remain undoable throughout the day (or across multiple days) due to a lack of players in the zone.

There are many upsides to something like this – more epic feel for new players, all players (regardless of server) have access to the same level of fun gameplay, players can build new relationships/bonds (eg, reasons to stay in the game) with more people, etc.

I really hope this is something they are working on. The game is more fun when there are more people around.

6 servers Very High, 18 servers Full

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Blaeys.3102

Right now we have most showing “very high” with four showing “high” and one showing medium.

Increasing capacity is draining the lower populated servers (the six previously showing very high) of players – mainly because people are looking for others to play alongside. It is a problem that will only become more pronounced as more people transfer – and new players choose – the more populated realms.

We need server merges or “underflow” servers soon – really soon. It isnt an indication that anything is failing – its just part of the natural progression of any MMO – and it’s time.

I know my world feels more and more dead every week. I really dont want to transfer because a. I like the people who have chosen to stay and b. I dont want to be a part of the bigger problem.

We really need server merges.

From the snowglobe in LA to the gorgeous jumping puzzle (which I havent beaten yet – Im not the greatest at those)- this has to be the single prettiest event Ive ever seen in a video game. From an aesthetic perspective, I think it even outdoes the Halloween event.

To the artists and designers at ArenaNet – well done.

NA Server Population

in Account & Technical Support

Posted by: Blaeys.3102

Blaeys.3102

I imagine they expect an influx of players returning or purchasing the game due to the season, the special they are running, and the event. I think they bumped LA capacities and such as well, as last night for the first time in ages I couldn’t actually get into an overflow, which made doing Fractals a bit problematic. A lot of servers no longer were put into overflows.

There are some servers that havent seen overflows in lions arch – or anywhere else – since the karka event.

Those are the servers I worry about. Increasing capacity allows for full worlds to become fuller, but it could just as easily have the opposite effect on worlds where population is struggling. I hope the team is watching those populations as closely as it does those on the always full worlds – and has a plan should those worlds dip too low.

Guild Wars 2 at top of charts!

Blaeys.3102

Why does this chart threaten so many people or inspire them to come into a thread like this and try to rile people up – or advocate for another game over and over and over (in a GW2 forum)?

Can we not just see the numbers for what they are and allow people to make of them what they will? Whether they represent the entire universe’s opinion of a game or not (hint – no survey/contest/etc does that), they do represent advocacy of the game by a legitimate source or group of people. Whether that source meshes with your view of the world is another topic completely.

I say congratulations to ArenaNet for receiving this particular honor from this particular source – and others should be allowed to do the same without the same 2-3 people always jumping in and trying to make them feel like idiots for doing so.

I dont care how this compares to WoW, Star Wars or any other game (even those other games on this list). Frankly, Im sick of reading about those games in these forums (again from the same 2-3 people over and over). There are other non-GW2 forums where I could read those comparisons if I chose to do so.

A game I like (and whose forum I am reading) was recognized as good. That is the only thing that matters.

It has been a really fun week. I haven’t been in WvW as much as I would have liked, but when I was there, the fighting was intense, meaningful and – most importantly – enjoyable.

GoM earned their victory but everyone involved deserves some credit for a well fought match.

Unfortunately, this could very easily have a negative side effect on those servers where populations are the lowest. We counted on those others being full to guide new players and transfers where they were needed the most.

It may be time for them to consider merging the smaller servers.

I hope nobody comes all in and says I will regret the decision because all I want to do is kill my time, but that’ll be on 25th and that’s two weeks left for that. Reason I make this post is if I could get some guides on what to do when I start my adventure and what profession fulfills my expectations.

I want to be a tanky support profession to heal in PvP and be able to take some hits before someone comes to help and I’ve been searching the wiki and the first one it came up was the Guardian. If Guardian’s the one, what weapon/off hand choice do I need to use to fulfill these two roles (or one of those two).

Also, I’ve been looking at the wiki and saw every profession had something called “Traits”. When I see it it looks like you get certain bonuses for choosing that trait and my question is if you can pick two traits at once and if it’s recommended if you can.

Last, but not least, my last question is the race. As many MMO’s I’ve played I see races have racial traits which enhance your gameplay like Charr Engineer, but my case is which race goes perfect with Guardian?

I hope somebody helpful gets to read this and assist me, and thank you all for your attention.

Its going to sound weird to someone who hasnt actually played yet, but given your parameters, you may want to consider a well-based necromancer. Necromancers are naturally “tanky” (as tanky as something can be in this game) because of the deep health pool and deathshroud mechanic – and can provide strong support (including group heals) through the use of wells and marks (using the staff as a support weapon). Your other weapon set would be based on how you want to deliver damage.

Guardian will probably be your better choice, but if you are looking for something different, I would definitely look at the necro.

As far as race, it really wont matter. Most racials are lackluster powerwise when compared to regular abilities. If you pressed me hard, I would say go with the sylvari. You get a second option for an AOE heal (healing seed) and an extra immunity in the “take root” elite skill.

And, as said above, ignore the whiners and naysayers in this thread. Most of them spend more time in the forums than they ever did in the game. If you come in with an open mind, you should love this game. I know I do.

This has happened to our group 3 times in a row tonight on Henge of Denravi. It is getting really frustrating and I am sure people are giving up on the event.

We dont have many people to begin with for events like this – and this bug is making it hard to keep people trying to down this event.

Maybe another server reset is in order, but a bigger fix should definitely be considered.

Actually 4 times now.

We see this bug more than any other, it seems. It is especially frustrating because it locks us out of Arah – not because we cannot do it, but because of a bug that has persisted for months now. Every time we attempt the gates of arah on the server, we all cringe in anticipation of this happening..

Make them timed (again, like the ones on the claw fight) so that the dispenser cant be built miles away and used to take out a gate.

I also like the idea of road blocks/barricades listed above. Not only would it give you an option for slowing dolyaks, but it would provide more incentive for defenders to escort them. There would have to be some kind of limit however, or the roads would be littered with these things.

Its really the only logical thing for ArenaNet to do. There are servers that need more people right now – for both WvW and PVE.

Keeping fewer servers full is more important than trying to salvage lower pop servers.

Of course, that statement sounds somewhat ridiculous given that so many servers read full, but I hope we all know that to be misleading.

Agreed. But, if this is the case, then we should be advocating for server merges rather than just extending the server cap on higher pop servers and basically letting the lower pops die on their own.

Opening new servers or raising the caps (which were the original topics in this thread) with the way things are currently set up would only make the situation worse. I think ArenaNet realizes this and that is why we see the “full” status as often as we do.

I don’t care if there’s a mass exodus, there will always be enough players to support the game. It’s good enough. Just be transparent about the server populations, and let people move to where their friends are. I’d rather be on a server with queue times than an empty one.

No one wants anyone to play on a server or in a situation they do not want to play in, but you have to look at this with a wider lens. By enabling transfers or opening space on the fuller servers, you cause two things to happen – 1. you increase the queues on that server, and 2. you exacerbate the issue of diminishing populations on servers that need the people. Everyone except the individual (one person) transferring is hurt by this.

So, from an individual perspective, you may feel cheated by not being able to create a character or transfer to that ultra-full server – but from the community perspective, this is an issue that is much more complex and cannot be solved (in fact, it will only be made worse) by the solution you are advocating.

Again, it is not an ideal situation – and hopefully better minds than ours (at ArenaNet) are working on solutions that fit everyone’s needs.

You didn’t read the thread. There are no queues on some of these “Ultra full servers”. On Forth Aspenwood, there was maybe 50 players in all WvW zones, no queues, and no overflows in Lions Arch, yet the server list marked it as full. This had been the case for at least 3 days. Something is up, and it’s not the population.

The thread is about adding more servers. Your input was you wanted to transfer to a server currently listed as full because you think the server you are on is dead population wise.

My input was that there is a deeper issue and that is more than just about one person transferring to the server their friends are on. You freely admit that you feel the server you are on is empty. Then the system in place needs to be pushing new players and transfers to that server – not opening the doors for people to move to servers where population is less of an issue. Doing otherwise would cause more issues than it solves.

There are plenty of other threads about what the full/high in the log in screen means. While it is important to know that, that was not the original – or your – topic in this thread.

It is a tough issue for a developer to address.

As long as there is at least one (which there is), then people have options.

I know my server has not listed as full in months. We still have a healthy enough population (could be alot better) – and the people we do have are helpful and amazing to play alongside – but I do worry about the future.

The server limits are there for very important reasons. The answer to “how can I play with my friends” has to be “transfer to a server where there is room.” Anything else is detrimental to the future health of servers and WvW competitiveness.

I think the take away from this should be that there were six servers that are not full when you looked. That means people who wish to play together have the option of moving as a group to one of those servers. It may not seem ideal – and you may have to leave a “winning” WvW server for one that is struggling (which, if you care about WvW at all, you should want to do anyway), but the option does exist.

Its really the only logical thing for ArenaNet to do. There are servers that need more people right now – for both WvW and PVE.

On my server, we haven’t had queues for Lion’s Arch since the Karka event and none for WvW in months. When I read that some servers have 30 minute or more queues for both, it tells me there is an imbalance. Upping the cap on those servers would only exacerbate the problem on servers like mine.

New players – and larger groups looking for room to play together – need to be filtered to the lower populated server. Otherwise, those servers WILL die – which would be bad for the game’s future.

If every server fills up, Im sure they will up the cap or add new servers, but until that happens, doing so would do more harm than good.

Yes. They are ‘open.’ But when only 9 of the current NA servers are open and the remainder are full, it’s time to bump the server population cap. There’s no reason to keep them capped at what they are.

There is a very clear reason. We need new players on the servers with the lower populations, not on the ones that are fuller. Otherwise, you widen the gap between those who have other people to play alongside and those who do not (vibrant vs “dead” servers). This significantly hurts the game experience for a percentage of players.

It is in everyone’s best interest to do everything possible to keep that from happening – to ensure the long term health of the game and better competitiveness in WvW.

I know everyone wants to play on a vibrant server. The way to make sure that happens for EVERYONE is to spread the distribution of players across as many servers as possible. Nine open servers is a lot. It gives people plenty of options.

Raising the cap at this time would cause more harm than good, especially to the people on those nine servers – alot more harm.

There will be server mergers sooner or later. The playerbase has dropped by around 75%

Tell that to my WvW queues, multiple Lion’s Arch overflows (overflows from the overflow), and lag at meta events due to so many people.

The game is booming.

When people purchase GW2 they effectively purchased a free lifetime subscription. You don’t have to log on everyday to be an active player or stay current in this game, it’s one of the very good things about GW2.

Yes, the game is booming, but there is still the problem of everyone trying to pack into a small percentage of servers (for whatever reason) – which leaves the remainder depleted and suffering. Server mergers are probably needed to balance out the populations better – for the sake of dynamic events, adequate dungeon pools and WvW.

As much as it seems like it would be a good thing, raising the server populations now would be devastating to the less populated servers – where numbers are already becoming an issue. New players and transfers need to be directed where the numbers are needed for the health of the game, not to areas where they will just widen the gap between haves and have-nots.

The game provides an easy way for guilds to play together if they would do it – choose a less populated server and move the guild there. Not only would it allow people to play together, it would support servers that actually need the numbers.

I could see the argument having weight if all servers were full, but that isn’t the case.

Except despite populations of zones being low, servers are listing as full. Seriously, go look at the NA server list. Only 9 of them are open, and they’re listed as Very High. The argument does have weight considering that Yak’s Bend has kitten near empty zones from 20-70, yet comes up as Full on the server list.

But they are listed as open – not full. Players looking to play together have options.

Until they are all full, it is in the best interest of the game’s future to encourage population spread.

All servers are not full. There are always at least a few that have room. Those who need to form guilds or groups with new players/players from other servers should find a server not listed as full and move your members there. This is the best solution for everyone involved.

Not only will it allow you to play together, it will help populations that need more people rather than further stack the top population servers (creating a haves/have nots divide that would be severely detrimental to the future of the game).

12/7 ET vs HoD vs GoM

I’m pretty sure the masses who were going to leave, have left. It’s down to the brass tacks now man and those of us who are actively out there fighting have pretty high moral.

This is exactly how I see it. Those of us who are out there in HoD every night know what the deal is. I imagine the folks over at ET are in pretty much the same boat. We’ve known what the deal is for the past two months while we’ve been falling down the ladder. I doubt we’re shedding more at this point, those of us who are still here want a fight.

Second: Anyone who tells me we’re not losing the numbers game just has no clue what we’re walking out against every night. Even on our BL, except for at peak hours, they manage to have 2 large groups the size of our main force running around, while we try and usually successfully, play whack-a-mole on the towers and keeps we hold. That’s not tactics, that’s not strategy, that’s numbers. Player-for-Player we hold our own and then some.

Ive said it before – it is really inspiring how hard we fight and how high spirits remain among those of us who have chosen to remain on Henge of Denravi. We really have a team to be proud of.

To other posters – no one is claiming GoM – or anyone else – is cheating. We applaud them for their efforts.

However, as Valenna notes, numbers and coverage play the greatest role when it comes to the metascore. The few times this past weekend that HoD brought comparable numbers to a map (we have yet to have enough for all 4 maps), we did much more than our fair share of damage. That isnt a put down to any other server in any way – it is simply a testament to the strength and spirit of the small WvW force remaining on HoD.

Uncontested Temple of Balthazar

With our recent update we fixed most of the issues with events in Straits of Devastation that prevented players from successfully taking the Temple of Balthazar. There is one outstanding issue we will address in a future – as it might look to players as being broken while it is not, I would like to explain what is happening:

• The bug occurs in the final event of the 3 meta events;
Escort the northern invasion Pact squad to the Pact rally point at Triumph Plaza.
Escort the central invasion Pact squad to the Pact rally point at Triumph Plaza.
Escort the southern invasion Pact squad to the Pact rally point at Triumph Plaza.
• When the bug occurs all of the NPCs in the Pact squad will bunch up on top of each other.
• The bug will correct itself once the NPCs engage a hostile creature that gets too close.

As you are all know, spawns in Orr are rather fast, so as long as you let the NPCs aggro a nearby creature, the event will continue.

It is currently bugged on Henge of Denravi. A single pact member moving from the south will not move. We moved enemies close to engage/kill him – nothing. Then 20 people just stood around trying to figure out what to do next.

Favorite Party Composition

As long as the players have a good attitude and are willing to treat our adventuring as fun rather than some kind of second job or DPS race, we’ll get along fine in a party. I don’t really care what they’re specifically playing.

This “composition” gets my vote as well.

Don’t want to enter into a long discussion about numbers this that & the other. As Leader of the DKz in general I am astounded how this week panned out. Borlis players have really come together & formed a cohesive ‘nation’. Given the politics of population etc I can only tip my hat to the few guys on HoD that are still giving us a great fight we have the utmost respect for you guys atm kudos. SF kinda had a lesson in humility this week as we will probably suffer if our guys get too c_ocky You too have at times given us some great fights this week.

All I want to say in general is a great Thank You to ALL of our Commanders for an excellent week and Thank You to HoD & SF for a fun week of WvW. Still a few days of this mayhem to go yet but compared to AR you guys Roxxor!

From all at The Order of Digital Knightz [DKz] keep it up guys and salute!

As someone from HOD, let me say -that respect goes both ways. Borlis Pass is deserving of the score it has right now. The nights Ive been in WvW, you guys have played both efficiently and smart.

Regarding my server (HOD), the rumors of our death have been greatly exaggerated. Those who chose to stay through the past drama work well together and, more importantly, respect one another. We also have some great commanders that know leadership isnt about barking orders at random people.

Our issue is most definitely one of numbers – it is not one of heart.

Forum users ARE NOT the minority

Yes, it is possibly that the forums MAY represent the community from a purely numerical perspective, but trying to gauge how the community feels about the game by the tone of the forums is a faulty argument.

Most posts in areas like “general forum” or in areas about specific elements (dungeons, wvw, etc) will probably be negative. That is to be expected. You dont call your cable company to tell them “great job. keep up the good work.” You call them when you have an issue.

Most people approach the forums the same way. There is nothing wrong with it – and it provides Anet valuable feedback, but, if the majority of posts are negative, it doesnt mean everyone hates the game.

And this isnt even taking into account that many of the negative posts are by the same small group of people.

“SF and HoD are just as awesome as us.”

You are no fun!

Surely you can find it in your heart to both love and hate us at the same time

Playing on HoD – this weekend is the most fun we have had in WvW in about a month. We had a few epic battles tonight specifically. Regardless of the final score, I’m looking forward to the rest of the week.

Other than sPvP, culling issues and the absolutely horrible camera, i have no other real issues with the game as a whole. I do run across bugged events, but they are far fewer than i’ve seen in most MMO’s (even the straight questing models).

I have an 80, put in tons of hours and still have tons more to do. I never get bored playing, i don’t ever really feel like i’m doing the same stuff over and over, mostly since i mix things up.

There does need to be more reason to go to specific zones, but over all i don’t find the lack of players many people are complaining about.

It is highly likely that the “lack of players” issue is server specific, so that explains why you havent really experienced it yet. The problem is, the PVE game experience should be fun regardless of which server you chose to create a character on. It is a problem that will only become more pronounced as time goes on and one I really hope they choose to address sooner rather than later.

the game is what? 2 months old? give it some freaking time. it was ready to be released but they have never said it is FULLY done. and yes they said we release it WHEN it is ready. i have yet to find a game to be 100% finished on release. always a patch here or there.

I dont think anyone is posting here because they have given up on Guild Wars 2 or believes that ArenaNet is done. They are simply pointing out what they perceive as problem areas right now. As long as the conversation remains civil and productive (which it seems to be), I think it is a discussion worth having.

As I noted above, my two biggest concerns are the bugged events (which they have said they are working on) and the empty zones/dwindling population found in some of the less popular servers (which is a fairly new problem). I trust the developers to address both of those issues in time, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth bringing up and discussing (again, with due respect and in a manner that is productive).

I agree with number 4 and number 8, and number 1 to a lesser degree.

The rest are things that could be improved (and Im sure they are continually being looking at), but dont really feel like major problems to me.

There are other servers with good PvE communities besides TC. Quarry, Rall, Desert all have really solid PvE numbers and are usually available to transfer.

For the most part, HoD is a PVE server now.

The problem with looking at other servers/transferring is that there is a small group of people/guilds who are working to keep the community on HoD together. The people who have stayed on the server through all of the desertions are really fun to play alongside. That dedication and commitment is why many of them stayed. None of us want to lose that by moving to other servers.

At the same time, the raw numbers don’t exist on the server to keep areas active enough.

To me, the ideal solution would be some kind of “underflow” server system (which has been proposed before on the forums), but Im not sure that’s something that’s even possible.

I (and many others) want that fun experience that comes with more active zones (without having to resort to deserting my server – making a bad problem much worse). The most logical solution seems like a server merge.
