My feedback on the begin story instance:
It has become too easy, like playing the first tier of PS. All the enemies melt like butter. Where are the Snipers btw? Maybe the snipers where a little op, but totally removing them is a bit of overkill. More Feedback later, when i have time to play.
Player info: wouldnt call myself casual or hardcore more in between. Core gamer i like to call myself :-)
No steam please, guildwars has its own platform why need an extra layer and a company that takes a big cut of the profits.
Petless ranger confirmed :-)
im levl 10 right now and can confirm, no heal skill on my ranger (heal as one can not be equpiped). Guess ill sit out that one level and equip at level 11. But its absolutely a bug.
Totally Agree. The forums are (and Always have been in my opinion) a place for a certain vocal minority Going Doom and Gloom about everything and everyone. This is why many people dont even bother posting constructive posts. From time to time i look and hope it has changed, but regretably it hasnt.
Yes i like it. Much better then a cliche name like “Forge”. One name from the Marvel universum is more then enough (Daredevil).
Gonna Make a Charr Engineer right now. Just had a perfect vision of a Charr Scrapper name :-p
(edited by Bolbo Baggins.8594)
Love the name, not so cliche as certain other names. Gonna Love making a new Charr Scrapper.
What i dont understand is:
There have been so many wonderful events where the event system and reward system where fine. Queens Jubilee, Halloween, Wintersday, Zhepherite Sanctum for example.Of course there are Always exploiters, that is something what will never change in any online game regretably, its in their nature. But nerfing is never the right solution, it only hurts the fair gamers. The event felt like a Unhealthy Grind to me, so i never looked back after the first day.
toxic dungeonseller scaring of new players. Just what the gw community needs.
I must agree, its terrible in my opinion:
This would fit a korean grinder, but not an A title which advertises no grind philosophy and quality gameplay.
Its designed for maximum grind, minimal rewards, no fun.
The only people who like this are people who like to grind, not who want gameplay.
and again a terrible goldsink, which doesnt hurt people who unhealtily like to grind, but does hurt people who like to play a game (content) and have a life.
(edited by Bolbo Baggins.8594)
half hour, many gold scores for the events, no reward whatsoever, the best people got was 5 blooms :-p. And not to talk about another mayor gold sink. Nice for the 24 hour grind crowd, not for the casual crowd who game and have a life. Doesnt really hold up with the no grind/horizontal gameplay phylosophy. Oh and the mobs did not have one loot drop? :-(
Hopefully gear inspect and dps meter with HOT

can we have some air freshener please in here. Toxic 13 year olds harassing mature players and dictating what is good and what is not. No thx, thats what this will bring, i say nai.
Do you want unfinished c quality like all those mmos who are released too soon and dont even make it to the first year? I rather like the concept of released when its done.
ArenaNet Overthinking it with these Names

I must say i agree. The new names like dragonhunter, dare devil, tempest sound much too Marvel universe superheroes to me. Like the names Berserker, Druid, Revenant and Herald Though. Was a big fan of the gw 1 names like ritualist, paragon and Dervish btw.
Since when is a thirt party tool a reliable source for the whole playerbase. When installing new amd catalyst drivers i Always make sure that Raptr is not installed with it (checkbox of). I think many others do exactly the same with unnecessary 3th party programs polluting the pcs resources.
(edited by Bolbo Baggins.8594)
agreed, wouldnt want the mobs go back to vanilla guildwars 2 tank and spank challenge. Love the stampeding Dinos etc, that actually move instead of standing somewhere and showing more challanging and natural behaviour.
I think you where out at night? I was at the back of the map at night, with only one other player. Then it can get ugly, Managed too stay alive until i encountered a Mordrem Troll Champ, was a little bit to much to solo, with all the minions around him :-)
At first i kept dying and whas thinking, whats this? Then i learned too spot those snipers and put them down first. And people sticking with the zerk equipment/mentality, the concequence is dying quicker when missing a dodge here and there.
Had the most fun combating the Stampeding Dinos with a dragonhunter (bow/greatsword). Especially those stonehead beasts are quite vicious. Think i will stick with the dragonhunter this weekend. It fits me more then the revenant. The survivability with the dragonhunter is better than a revenant in my opinion. One advise, use Light emitting swordskins when fighting at night, Cobolt skin is perfect source of light in the darkness of the jungle :-)
It was a challenge on a rev, which is a new class for me but i made it. This expac is supposed to bring better encounters, or should we go back to the mindless zerker mentality. Please no. The only one that was a pain in the kitten for me was the champ at the end, regret not bringing other people with me, but hey i hold out to the end. It will get better when getting acustomed to the new profession and the content.

Adding someone to try to speak to them when/if they log on does not mean they are stalking.
Adding someone to your friends list and asking them once if they would let you have/buy the name is not harassment. If you continue to pursue the person after being told no, and asked to stop then there would be cause for reporting. But reporting someone for adding you to their friends list, what exactly do you file that report under?
Back on topic!
The thing I don’t understand. These names even if freed would only be available for 1 person… Thus solving VERY FEW peoples issue with getting them.
/Back on topic
You apparently did not read the OP’s post, hes perma tracking 50 people for their names. Since when is that normal behaviour? Furteron, i did not say people need to be always reported for adding someone to the friend list, i suggested an acknowledge option, so the player has control over who can add him to their friendlist. This prevents that harrasing (immature) players can add people to their friend list and track them.
And this is why i think a confirm option would be a nice thing, so that strangers cant add people to their friendlist without permission.. You seriously stalk 50 people because you want their names. I know what i would do in such a situation. Its a wonder that you are not banned yet for people reporting you for harasment.
Btw you are in no way entitled to get other peoples play names, so you know.
I installed Win 10 yesterday and it runs very smooth (better than win 8.1 did on my laptop). Played 4 hours of gw 2 today, no problems at all. I didnt even install new drivers yet, just the standard installed windows 10 ones. Must say with it that i dont run a Nvidia card but a AMD in the laptop.

Or, how about Eir will become the first Druid, and doesnt need a bow anymore, she uses a staff!
That never made much sense to me in that game so I’d forgotten about it. Rurik acts like it’s going to help you so much but you just call down a tiny drizzle. Maybe Charr hated getting wet back then.
I can remember that the Charrs where much weaker after the Stormcaller. It certainly had an ingame effect.
I was immediately thinking of stormcaller when i saw that tempest art :-p Think i’m gonna do that gw 1 mission again for the sake of lore nostalgia, hehe.
I like this new addition with the reworked npe (more fluent character progression). Its nice to now what characters progression etc i can expect. So not agreeing with you on that.
Stormcaller incoming. Looking forward what functionality it will bring. Instead of all the ‘ooh its no bling bling dual sword, so it sucks’ childish posts.

I’m loving the revenant with hammer and axe mace with jallis Legendary. But can certainly agree the base damage output is much too low. In my opinion it should be on par with hammer and mace for the guardian.

What about: “a tale of two dragons”.
A new campain which takes us to the domain of Jormag and Primordus. The dragons of ice and fire. Not only are the dragons opposing us, but they also have a power strugle Between them. Which of course we can use to our advantage (or not, squased between the power struggle :-p). It would make an interesting story if the dragons had their issues with each other, just like everything in nature. Instead of, ok dragon slayed, next one please.
If i have learnt one thing after years of online gaming (started with quake 3 arena, and that did have a portion of drama ) with hate trolls in game or on a forum. Ignore, block, report. Dont try to reason with them, they feed on the negative attention. Theres no reasoning. It will become naturaly, you grow a thick skin, and enjoy the game without ever looking back at any drama. Btw are you on european or american servers. I havent had any haressment in a long time on european. Must say i dont play explorable dungeons or ranked pvp , thats a big difference i think.

I just dug up the old factions box. It has a beautiful poster of Nika. And that was only the normal edition. Poster, booklett with lore info and illustrations. I miss the days when games where shipped with boxxes full of physical collector shinies.
I dont think Cantha will return soon personally.
I had exactly the same problem yesterday. Instant deads, freezes, skill lag, movement lag etc. If i experience the same when playing later today i will contact support, didnt have the time to make a ticket yesterday regretable.
This may be more of a map problem than a character problem as I’ve seen several several people stating the same thing.
The location where i got this lag was during the hole map of Wayfarer Foothills, not Plains of Ashford. Many other people over there had exactly the same problems. So it doesnt look like a map problem in this case.

I did already update. Else i would loose all the living story chapters (which newbies dont get, should be on the list op) i unlocked in the past + all the services and conveniance items i purchased.

It would be the perfect location for a gladiator arena for some casual dueling fun. With ofcourse a last man standing allout brawl option.
(edited by Bolbo Baggins.8594)
You know what will happen when people start troll dueling next to a dynamic event right?
I would not mind Arenas in the cities (Black Citadel would be perfect, it has an arena) or remote areas for some casual arena duel fun though.
My favorites: Kessek Hills, Lornars Pass and Brisban (with the mega skritt cavesystem there). Love the ambience, scenery and the events over there.
I normally dont have problems with RP-ers, until last week when 10 of them from a certain rp guild upscaled an event i was doing and contributed nothing. They kept walking around there (Calledon forest, Scrit area with the ruins) for 30 minutes. Had to collect 100 datacrystals to get the event done and kill zilions of skritt.
One for the nightcrawlers it seems :-)
You can get the sprocket generator at the Laurel vendor. Its at the bottom under "living story 1 rewards’. |Thats how i got it, mining it regularly.
In my opinion the asura look like Gremlins (like the 80’s movies), Yoda.
I had a first generation c64 homecomputer (and an Atari 600 XL before that even), call me oldschool with more or less 30 years of gaming experience :-)
38 years old.
Still enjoy a game when i can spare the time. And yes there are many more, just not as vocal in the public chat as the younger players mostly. There have been games (and gamers) for over 30 years now. Turning more and more in a thing for the whole family nowadays (just like card games and board games).
(edited by Bolbo Baggins.8594)
My pets still go rogue all the time when in passive mode, pulling all sorts of mobs all over the place.
Never respond to a troll. They only want to suck negative attention, and no theres no reasoning with them. In the past i tried, but the years have given wisdom in this area. Ignore, block, report (if its the worst harrasing type) and never look back. My online game experience has been a lot more pleasant nowadays.
A sale on collection stacks, bank tabs and especially crafting licenses would be nice. I’m not a fan of buying weapon and armor skins in a cashshop (rather get them with playing). But i am a fan of buying services to expand my account.
(edited by Bolbo Baggins.8594)
Firstly I’m gonna upgrade my main Guardian. Secondly i will make (and play) a Revenant. Win win situation.
Mordremods bitter heart maybe? :-) I bet Mordemod will be a very Thorny Dragon btw

Who knows we will get a beautiful new city with the expansion. Time will tell. Personally never was a big fan of LA (2.0 was it? or 3.0 maybe).
