Couple points I’d like to make on any misconceptions about FA:
1. Only 1 guild on FA right now truly zergs, and that is GODS. And trust me when we zerg you’ll know it(ie. EB this past sunday afternoon, sorry DB you were still in firing range of us at that point). Just an FYI we have only truly zerged once this entire matchup so far. We usually do it a bit more…
Sometimes we have enough to do 2 or 3 groups of 10-20 on the same map, not counting any other “special forces” type group we may have going. Tough luck if we appear on your map.
You’re lucky this week that most of the guild has been leveling their alts in WvW.
2. A guild like RET may get 20+ players on at once, but most of the time they run 10-15. And when they do, you’ll know it. I saw RET defend SMC the other day and push through a larger MAG force that was on the walls. Should have been a pitched battle…as both forces saw each other. Nope RET gut punched through them and that was it.
3. BT…welp you can watch their weekly recap videos and decide yourself what kind of work they do. I will say this: They will farm you regardless of what you think of them. In regards to the video…looks like the forces were equal to me. Its more telling that both MAG and DB allowed BT to flank them like 3 times. Smart commanders like Quenta can almost always count on the opponents not realizing whats going on most of the time. Perhaps you should think about getting on Quenta’s level instead of complaining about it.
4. We have several other EST guilds that are doing awesome. HOPE has recruited some, and they can roll with 10-20 on any given night…but they aren’t on every night. They are busy doing awesome stuff like dungeon races.
5. I can’t speak for our oceanics, as some of them are still pretty new to me. I do know that they are AWESOME.
6. If you want to 5vs5, head on over to sPVP. FA’s WvW guilds are too busy taking and/or defending stuff or wiping you.
At least I know the thought process of T3 servers now.. It’s basically my zerg is bigger then your zerg therefore we are better.

You should totally check out SPvP bro it’s much smaller scale and may be what you are looking for. Not sure what part of “world vs world” screams “5 man vs 5 man”, but I can totally see why you would be upset if that’s all you run around with. You should try to find another guild to roam/merge with to help you stay competitive in WvW in these higher tiers.
I am not upset that we get wiped by larger groups, I am confused as to why people record it as if its some kind of achievement to wipe groups significantly smaller then you.
Since there is no number that when reached says that you are a zerg I wont comment on that part, However 15-20 man roaming party is most defiantly not the norm. I will say that being a zerg has less to do with the numbers and much more to do how they approach a confrontation.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. FA loves Maguuma. Everybody on maguuma is great people with some talented players, aside from all the forum warriors.
If you want to showcase that skill you should show it against enemies who outnumber you and not vice versa.

@BT There is no point in making a video where you outnumber the enemy, something you may want to consider. If you want to do that you might as well run with the biggest zerg possible as they do it better.
LoL. You can actually see our group size in that video if you pause it around 43-44 seconds where we re-group before re-engage. It’s a little over 2 groups (2 groups were full and a few soloers). We didn’t lose anyone in that fight so we weren’t down anyone at that point either.

You need to look up the definition of outnumbered, running 2 groups against 1 is still outnumbering someone.. or don’t you see that? If are you trying to gain something by beating us you may want to do it with equal or similar numbers.. unless you are happy zerging 5 mans.

Sometimes you just pick off more than you or your guild can chew, in this case that was OG.
Yeah, OG really taught us a lesson in the fights they lost to us in the open field.

Pretty sure you are the one that started the drama and by “us” I guess you mean Maguuma. I respect Mag as a server, and I respect some OG as good players. I don’t respect you as a person. You’ve got some work to do there.
That’s fine I don’t respect you either, you call people out and then don’t back it up.
Also showing a 7v4 isn’t what I would call great. Every fight you had against us you always had greater numbers, which is why you won’t do an even number fight because you and I both know the outcome.

You are able to run 5 mans up to T4 if you are good enough.
I guess I will have to walk you through this slowly. Asc and Dreztina were complaining about the lack of small group versus small group fights. Dreztina specifically says it’s boring fighting zergs. It’s not about failing to kill zergs it’s about finding the type of fights you want.

From just skim reading these forums its clear there is a fair amount of players from Maguuma that dont want to move up and are wishing to get kicked out of the server.
So how did Maguuma become such a popular server and recieve these unwanted transfers?

We kill the other guilds that try to do this.. we are the apex predator.
I will start off by saying I don’t play sPvP often because I have never found it fun, however the other day I decided to just play it to kill some time. I ended up having a great time and this was because I totally ignored the points and just focused on killing people instead. So if you find you are getting bored and want something new, just ignore the objectives and try kill people you will find it much more entertaining.
Paid Transfers are going to do more harm then good but you can wait and find out for yourself.
care to back that up with some well thought our reasoning?
The majority of people are going to leave low tier servers for high tier, I expect a big influx of people going to SoS.
Why would they make people pay money in a free game (Just make the lockout time longer like 1 month or something) THERE IS NO REASON TO MAKE IT PAID, it just seems like another money making scheme to me.

Server transfer is a service not a commodity! I’m glad it is going to be paid, as now people will choose wisely if they want indeed to make that transfer. However, that transfer currency is in Gems that can be bought using in-game gold!
One thing different that i would like to see is different prices for different Tiers. Lowest Tiers even could be free to make players fill in those before anything else, and with a price increasing to the highest being on T1 tiers!
What is the logic behind making it paid apart from making more money?
They could just increase the lock out system and have the exact same affect.
It was meant to be paid, the game doesn’t pay for itself.
Perhaps you should tell this to LoL.. if you make a great game it will indeed pay for itself plus much more, you don’t need to rely on gimmicky mechanics.

Leveling the servers! If a guild of n members wants to move to another server they will first fill the lowest servers due to nonexistent/small server transfer fee. However, if it was monthly locked we would see a constant inflow of guilds every month to the highest tiers!
You honestly think they are going to go to low level servers because a low transfer fee.. if you are paying anyways you might as well make it count. So having an inflow/outflow is a bad thing now? Instead everyone is just going to be locked in the same server where the matchups will become boring and stagnant.

The only thing you run is a FOTM gank group. 2 dd ele 2 thieves and a mesmer. Try it with some rangers let me know how that works out.

Let me start of by saying there is no such thing as spies, since the 1 week transfer option was added. People just accuse other servers of this because it makes them feel better about themselves, we aren’t losing due to poorly placed siege or our tactics… must be spies. While sabotage can exists it’s pretty obvious to find out if this is happening and who is doing it.
tl;dr no spies just excuses
ps: maguuma is known for having amazing memser hiding spots in keeps/towers you can even check our past match ups and see the praise they have been given.
Okay here is the plan.
Dragonbrand you need to get more points and go into T3 and take Fort Aspenwoods place. Yaks Bend stays in T4 and Ebay drops down.
So next T4 matchup will be;
Maguuma
Fort Aspenwood
Yaks Bend
First time there was 6 or 7 of us, some underleveled (some BP pugs wandered in somewhere in the fight. Second time it was 5v5 with only one underleveled. No question about who got the better of who. but do you really need to double or triple the numbers?
Take a step back and think a little bit before you post. You guys run a solid, well built 5 man Gank squad. Nobody is questioning that, don’t demean yourselves by inflating numbers.
I think it was more around the numbers of what I said originally, but since I haven’t been videoing there is no way I can go back and check.
Never duel with LARP unless you have friends near by or they will jump you if you start winning, it has happened to us before. They are a bunch of cowards who will never fight equal numbers because they will get rolled.
Just in case you guys haven’t caught on for some unknown reason, BP this week really doesn’t care. We’ve cashed in and are in the middle of a re-org. We figure we’ll let Mags and DR have their days in the sun, seeing as how it does shine on every dog’s butt at least once. Yeah, we’re dropping. Yeah, we’re reeling. Yeah, we’re gonna come back and dance jigs on your corpses. One week does not a brag session make. Mags, your turn in coming, in the future. DR, here is a late Christmas gift because, in reality, you couldn’t hold our jock straps much less be a valid competitor against us, as was proved last week. To both servers…..you ARE welcome.
Maguuma is a different world as far as community
The thing that makes Maguuma so fun is we often play to have fun and if we win it’s just a bonus, also people are willing to listen to each other and give feedback. It’s like one big community where everyone knows each other.
Was an amazing night of fighting while out-manned in EB against some pretty pathetic WäR fair-weather players. While out manned, pulling a sparta 300 against 6 waves of some weak zergy non-tactical attacks. And some questionable attacks from DR hitting us when Mag is hitting them? DR we did not go into your area(when we easily could have) for a reason. You are not the high population server.. so no reason to focus on you. You don’t control SM, so no reason to focus on you….sigh
I’m glad WäR has exited Borlis Pass server, their weak zerg minded tactics were actually a hindrance to the tactical growth of this amazing server.
