I’m sick and tired of this. This bug has been in the game since launch and nothing has been done about it. I thought there was some list where the most game breaking bugs took priority over everything else? apparently not. A thief regularly flips our keeps and towers (SoS).The report feature is utterly useless as a fair few people report him on a daily basis. You guys really need to step up your game and fix this issue, he has youtube videos of himself flipping them using the exploit for crying out loud! How far can one turn a blind eye?

Guildie told me that next week EB is moving to a different tier and YB is staying in the same one with us. Losing the best server I’ve had the pleasure to fight, and keeping the worst. Sad times.

The points difference between YB and FA is currently projected to be <30 (smaller than that between EB and BP). If Mag stops fighting entirely for the last few days you might just manage to move us up to T3 and keep your friends in T4. I’m sure you’d all get on famously with FA too.

My favorite encounter with Bunzy was while I am leading us in taking stuff on one of the Borderlands a few matches ago and its was Thursday day. We have taken at least 3 towers and flipping supply camps, then a while Bunzy appears. “y r u guis doing anything, reset is tmw this is pointless” (Just so happened that we were in the same matchup/servers even after reset, at this point reset meant nothing other than resetting T3’s)

Maguuma trolled Bunzy so hard he raged into oblivion. Bunzy complained in chat while we took stuff on a Thursday, simply because it was reset the next day and Bunzy has never been involved in a Tower/Supply camp/Keep capture because its below his greatness. Bunzy implied we are worthless, we should logout, uninstall gw2, and never touch the game again for wasting time before a reset “there is no point with reset tmw” (on a Thursday 2pm eastern). Maguuma continued to capture and take more on that BL regardless of Bunzy whining.

Did you play a DD ele since launch? highly doubt it….from your posts and obsession with roaming and being good, I can tell you don’t look for challenges, you look for the easiest path to talk crap to others and stroke your ego. Dont mean to make assumptions, but it’s the impression you’re giving many people.

Ebay is very similar to Mag and we will both be stuck in T4 for ages unless we join together and fight the zerg as one.

I find your lack of sportsmanship disturbing. However you can even win when outmanned, YB is the proof, we did pretty decent in T3, even though the other servers FA and TC had a better spread of population and utterly ganked us during nighttime, yet we did pretty good and we even beat FA from time to time.

Nah we can kill each other. I am not full bunker, don’t know about him. That’s not usually my problem with dueling other Ele’s, my problem is when one loses they decide to run away/get out of combat. Honestly if you are having a fair 1v1 , with any profession for that matter, you should never run away and stay within a 1200 radius until one of you dies. Though I’ve had non ending battles with guardians, that’s a different story.

Let me rephrase.

When two good (bunker) dd eles are versing each other no one will ever win. I have proven this time and time again. I will tend to fight them for a minute to see if they are decent and if they are any good ill just walk away, im not going to spend 10 minutes fighting you sorry.

This game needs a major balance adjustment, it wasn’t until recently I noticed that every profession who is decent runs some type of melee. I honestly hate being a melee but I am forced into it if I want to remain competitive.

To whoever said “zerging is one of the best tactics of all time” in GW2. yes I will agree with you because the game mechanics favor it. If they got rid of the downed state you would see a different story.

I really don’t think ANET will ever listen to the community. They designed the downed state as a new and improved thing and no matter what the community say they will always love it as their own design.

Nowadays term zerg is used in mmo games to describe a force consisted of a large group of players who use numbers rather then strategy to defeat the enemy, therefore requiring no skill. This tactics is commonly known as zerging.

Using numbers as a way to win, that’s why people have a problem with it.

The fight at my lunchtime was fun (it’s 9PM right now). We took back YBBL’s Maguuma-controlled East Keep only to have it retaken in less than five minutes. Did you guys hide leapfrogging mesmers to retake it that fast?

Anyway, we had to retake the keep again, and the fight was awesome. We used a lot of siege and the fights were still fun up to the Lord. Afterwards we swept every inch of the keep to make sure there were no more mesmers there, and even babysat one mesmer corpse in the lordroom.

Good fun! Good job on the fight, Maguuma!

I was actually training some Maggumans last night and they responded very well!

You must understand, person-from-maguuma, that we’ve seen other guilds who enjoy celebrating their skill and organization in the forums. The most recent one that comes to mind is ULTD in FA. They were a force to be recognized, by people from TC & YB, and even had proof to back it up, though they didn’t need it because of how much talk they got from the servers.

Most importantly, they were pleasant in the forums and frowned upon derailment. They recognized the skill in TC & YB and complimented others.

You’ll notice in another video they are actually taking towers and such, too.

So yeah, if you want to go about getting recognized by all the servers in the match, might I suggest you follow ULTD’s methodology. (Though really, they’re just having fun.) As a start, post some videos, we are expecting something to great to match your words. After that, start celebrating your opponents skills, it takes a different mindset, but it’s good sportsmanship and people enjoy it more. I could go on, but teaching someone on how to be liked vs demanding to be liked can’t be done in a post or anything. (I don’t say this maliciously, I just feel like you’re trying to achieve something but are not fully getting it.)

All I can say is I hope to verse FA one day so I can prove methodology doesn’t mean anything

I second with Rebel Daughter. Sometimes as much as Bunzy is as good as he claims (haven’t seen him in action on the field yet but i may) I wish he would keep his trolling or calling out of other 5 man gank squads just for a kitten duel… that’s what Fight club is for on Thursday…. As for all the Ebay and Yaks it has been fighting and i hope we keep this fight up even with the holidays amongst us. Bunzy if you’re going to keep your trolling up I wish you would return to Sorrows Furnace where you came from. I know for myself and i can’t speak for others that i see Maguuma as a place to have fun not be stressed about score but still play competitively. Most guild groups don’t lose to equal numbers very often, because most groups out there are not guild groups. I’ve saw OG only one time in two weeks. Hiding near their spawn area when we held most of the map. There was a skirmish going on of roughly equal numbers, and a few of us joined it. Could have been no more than 5 v 7 at that point (our side just randoms, not sure 3-5 OG) and we killed several of them, as they tried to kite back toward their spawn. At that point there was no strategic point to the fight and the couple guys I was with left. The OG guys were respawning coming back to their friends and I think then probably ganked a few of the remaining few guys that foolishly hung around, like always happens when you try to pin a team near their spawn too much.

There was nothing special about the fight whatsoever except for seemed like a lot theives and eles. Certainly no one beating three times their numbers.

Fights likes these are nearly irrelevant in the grand scheme of the match because nothing worth anything is being fought over. Even if 5 people kill the same 5 people over and over, without dying once, its still 5 players on both sides being tied up for an equal amount of time not helping their team with objectives. Kills don’t count for points on the scoreboard.

Reality is the downed state punishes small groups effectiveness relative to other games, which makes fighting over objectives so much more valuable than attempts at area denial.

All these people making stuff up now :S
If you are going to make claims you NEED to have evidence to back it up.

To [OG] from Maguuma: Please stop the chest pumping, I fought you guys on several occasions and I’m impressed by your skill. However you aren’t untouchable. Me and some 2 other guildies were running around on low level toons and got ganked by a group of ele’s and thiefs from your guild. You killed us a few times, /laugh or /dance on our corpses. We simply logged off, logged on to our mains, found you guys and wiped your group with only 3 of us. I’m not saying my guild is the best, I’m just asking you to stop boasting because you are not unstoppable…we stopped your whole party of 5 with 3 of us.

I find this post hilarious and here are my reasons:

1. We don’t /laugh or /dance on peoples corpses unless they deserve it. If you were just an uplevel who didn’t make any mock emotes to us I don’t see why we would do this, unless of course you were from a certain guild.

2. I would love to see any evidence of your 3 man team beating us. Perhaps some screenshots or videos.. but let me guess you didn’t get any?

3. I am confused when you say group of eles because we only have two main eles who we run with and neither of them were logged on together at any one point in time today.

4. The final and most hilarious is:
We never even had a 5 man team running today at any point in time.

This is why they got stomped in Tier 3, because without having a major numbers advantage they were lost and didn’t know what to do.

None of the servers in this matchup were stomped in Tier 3.

The only reason a server moved from T3 to T4 was because CD had a blowout victory in T4 and had to move up. FA and Yak’s had less than a 10k point difference at the end of the match. Yaks even scored higher than FA at times.

Rolled up a thief. By lvl 24 (all in wvw) it is clear this class is broken. The only times i have been downed is when i stop for a teammate who over extended. Otherwise the fight ends when i say it ends. I get away clean, even if i try a fight i can’t win. There is no risk at all. The wild swings at nothing are quite amusing but stealth is a hard counter to everything. It is not hard to dodge enemy attacks in the first place. It is even easier to dodge when the enemy can not see which way you are moving.

Every other class has to risk being downed when they initiate combat. Thieves can just reset the fight. That i think is the source of the problem. Stealth done wrong yet again. When will companies stop adding a stealth class? Anet didn’t even bother to add a counter to it at all.

Yep. Thieves need to get some sort of punishment for longer fights and stealthing often. For example making revealed 1s longer after every stealth until the thief is out of combat.

This is actually a great idea if they made it 2 seconds.

Guess you guys have never seen a proper D/D ele, bunker guardian, 30K hp warrior, 30K hp necro, shatter mesmer, or burst engineer.

Get some vitality and tank builds going. Glass cannon builds are not for WvW. Running a glass cannon build is asking for it. Learn to counter a thief. Countering backstab thieves is 100% L2P issue. There are other thief builds that are more deadly, and less prone to easy counters. Backstab thief is…horribly inefficient….

Mist form when he gets in range of steal. You will see him approaching you. If he’s in stealth and approaching you it screws up the entire chain with revealed. Then knock his kitten down with the electric charge elementalists have and kill. A thief like that undoubtedly has 10875 HP considering no boosts..

I can’t see him approaching he is invisible!
In fact because of culling he can get me down to 4k health before I even see him.
