I am screwed by numbers now because if I kill anyone they are immediately ressed by the enemy team before I can “finish” them off. If they were killed straight away they would either have to wait to get ressed after the fight or waypoint back and run to the location we are fighting.
P.S: I have linked the definition of a ZERG so you learn what it is.
Nowadays, the term zerg is used in mmo games to describe a force that uses numbers rather then strategy to defeat the enemy, therefore requiring no skill. This tactics is commonly known as zerging

If you want to fix WvW just remove the downed state.
It is clearly limiting how well you can do when you are outnumbered, why would you promote a numbers beat skill game. Its the worst mechanic in PvP and it needs to go sooner rather then later.
It has no place in WvW.
EDIT: For all the people thinking I want it removed so I can burst people to death are clearly mistaken, The reason I want it removed is so that skilled players are rewarded for taking on larger numbers. See the video as an example I could make these everyday where my group and I are constantly screwed over by the downed system.

D/D is a counter to Melee thief, stealth and run away is my best advice.

I always thought anet would prioritize pvp over pve but it seems they are just like every other mmo company and will focus on pve over pvp.. disappointing to say the least.
Since I have updated to this patch my game keeps getting stuck on the loading screen. Is this happening for anyone else?
This is exactly why they disabled cross server communication because people become carebears.
That latin guild with the tag [CL] tries to kill me, I was in the jumping puzzle with them and no other enemies around and they kept opening the arena gate to pull out the veteran mobs whenever I was on the ground. Y U TRY KILL ME FOR!?
As far as i’m concerned if you are in the AOE you should be getting hit, regardless of how many people are in the area.

Conquest is a great mode in FPS, I would agree.
However, conquest in an MMO is just boring.
Tip: You can’t bunker build in an FPS.
I don’t even play sPvP anymore thanks to conquest, I spend all my time in WvW. I won’t be coming back until more game modes are released.

1v1 fights are pretty pointless in this game because its not balanced around it.
Yer it was a P/D thief, I think it would of been alot easier if I was using D/D however I was stuck using S/D which make things alot harder as I can’t just spam auto attack when they go stealth and get some hits in.

There is a difference between a zerg and karma trains.
And sorry bunzy but that is not a zerg lol. 4vs 10 is hardly bad odds if the 4 people know what they are doing.
As for 5 mans taking towers these are called ninja teams in tier 1/2 and they rarely work unless people are too busy taking something more important. As a thief scout I destroy 5 man ninja teams. If you catch them before they put their siege down you can pop thieves guild and an ambush trap on them and do enough damage to their siege that they cant even build it fully; if you don’t kill it outright. And if they do have it down you call it in and kill the operator or wound him badly an he will pull off it. They all chase you and no one is running the siege. You buy your team valuable time at the very least. If they are bad players you might even kill them all. And that’s if there is no siege inside that is able to hit them.
And lets keep in mind that these 5 man teams only work because no one is defending. If there were no zergs running around people would be spread out more and more than likely these 5 man teams would encounter more resistance.
Its more like 20-30 people, also if you like these odds i challenge you to show better or similar achievements.
how to get rid of the zerg
I was doing the jumping puzzle and ended up fighting a thief in a 1v1. However this thief was different to any other thief I have ever faced. She would do (cond)damage for about 3-5 seconds and then stealth for about 3-5 seconds and repeat this over and over again. It was really annoying at how often this person was stealthing especially with the rendering issues.
How do you beat someone who is constantly stealthing?

Considering NSP has guilds bigger then SF whole wvw population during oceanic times i can’t take this post seriously.
I don’t know why they allow siege in the jumping puzzles, the baddies just use it to camp places. If you want to camp like a real man don’t use siege use your skills

Remove the downed state from pvp and stop the alt + f4ers as well.
The longer you put the transfer time the more people will flock to the winning servers. You think if they made it 30-60 days people would even try a low pop server? No they wouldn’t they would go for all the top tier servers. I guess that’s what I am going to have to do in order to have people to play with. I guess to the winning servers we go……. If they made it 3 days I would be willing to try other low pop servers in order to find a group of people to play with, however i am not waiting one week.

AoE being capped at a number is just ridiculous imo. get rid of it. if you dont want to be hit by the aoe get out of it.
I think a better time frame would be 3 days. This game is slowly dying and you can see the population decreasing over time. With less population people are going to want to move to those with a higher population and more people to play with. As it stands at the moment if you go to a server that is dying/dead you are going to be in for a very lonely week by yourself.
They just need to remove siege weapons from the jumping puzzle, it makes no sense why they are even in there in the first place, apart from lazy programming.
And maybe have downed state do 0 damage to enemy players (it can stay in PvE, but in PvP it’s just downright counter-competitive at this point)… :\

Are siege weapons ever going to be removed from the jumping puzzle in EB? Its ridiculous you allowed them in there in the first place. You just create an area where people will set up siege and camp there for the whole day. I don’t have a problem with camping if you are using traps and man power however using siege is just so cowardly.
tl;dr siege weapons in jumping puzzle are used by campers only and promote no positive gameplay. get rid of siege weapons from jumping puzzle.
So since arenanet thinks elementalists are fine I would like to ask Anet to swap mine for a mesmer, the only reason I am still playing this class is because i can’t be bothered grinding up another character. So are you able to do a swap for me please?

The arcane shield trait doesn’t work if you take too much burst damage.

Something needs to be done about thieves already. Anet stop keeping us in the dark >.<
I am not saying they shouldn’t have burst but they shouldn’t be hitting as hard as they do in the games current state. Especially when you look at all other burst compatibilities of other classes. They also get medium armor which is already better resistance than any class wearing light armor.
@katsumoto actually elementalists have the lowest health pools in the game. In terms of survival thieves can run faster then any other class, they can port with shortbows not to mention stealth. They have one of the best if not the best survival options.
I am running with over 3000 armor in WvW, However thieves are still the only class that can hack my health down like no other. In fact I can even eat a hundred blades and get less damage then what thieves can do just spamming abilities. Their glass cannon is like no other it puts out way too much burst.
tl;dr thieves still doing much burst damage compared to other classes

I think higher damage is required for our burst combos. They are really weak compared to warriors or theives. Perhaps more control as well (eg. stuns etc)

I think spawn camping is fine as long as you don’t start building siege weapons.
