Why do you want to use spectator/terrain/ooc to your advantage in a freaking GvG? It is strictly player killing player with no kitten involved. If you still trying to defend what you did, then there is a place where it suit you, kittening kittenty tPvP.

That was a disgrace. Running into crowd when low/downed(with crowd having passive regen buff) and running away to spiders to ooc and regenerate health. That GvG was a disgrace to the GvG community.

Although I do agree with the trait is not worthy to be on GM, but right now with warrior having a good regen, getting a huge uptime on retaliation will only make it the previous guardian, and I don’t want that because the latter had been nerfed to the ground.

In conclusion, a changes on the trait stats I would not agree but moving it down from GM, yes.

Bad bad idea. Right now with healing signet as it is, warrior are able to be a warrior, straight face front smashing people, but we still get wrecked by conditions especially those perplex users. Even with how good it is, one poison and the effect of the healing will crumble. Lowering it down will only make everyone go back to healing surge and healing signet will never be touch again, unless you have a huge number on armor and this will make warrior’s build kitten again.

So you think player killing player is not pvp but player bunkering at a point for points is a pvp? Think about it yourself, even Anet has it confused about it, making sPvP/tPvP boring as kitten.

Hammer is fine as it is now, there’s really no need to change it or it’ll be too OP. The only changes that a hammer need is for Earthshaker not to be kittened by terrain.

WvW is a mini game, even Habib mentioned it before. Its about time WvWers to take it deep into themselves. The faster we realize it the less it hurt.

It does feel like a warrior last time, a power house that run straight to his enemies face while unleashing physical terror to them but now with the new food and new runes, with more conditions build being tweaked to be more OP, it’s hard to roam/1v1 as a warrior. Simply because you will need melandru+lemongrass+utility/trait filled with condition cleanse just so you can smash your enemies face to face. This does not means you’ll succeed though. You’ll get kited/blinded really bad and when you’re near to them you realize you have 8-15 stack of confusion and you won’t be able to cleanse it faster than they apply it to you. Making it worst, your enemy is a condition staff mesmer. Yes, that is how I feel on my warrior nowdays.

I’ve done it before, numerous time mind I tell ya. It was back in the day when I was in CD and PvDoor all night long for 3 months. Had enough of it and went to TC instead.

as much as i’d like P/D to be a respectable build (instead of being shunned every time someone realizes the D and the P on my weapon set are inverted), and as much as i’d like body shot to be reworked so it is worth a kitten , i don’t think pushing the meta further towards multiple condis flying everywhere is the solution.

the problem with the current meta is that everyone is thinking that if their condi build is not on par with necros, then they should be buffed towards that. if condi hadn’t been pushed so much on certain builds, then cleanses wouldn’t have turned into this mandatory thing everyone needs to have, and if cleanses cease to be something people have to cram their utility bars with, then condi builds that focus on sustained damage, like P/D, would be fine.

that said, body shot most definitely needs a rework. low damage and crappy condition for 3 initiative means no one uses it, ever.

I gotta agree with this. Conditions used to be balance, then people find out about food+melandru and most conditions build become worthless in WvW. But then a new food came out that give a huge advantage to condition, and now the new runes is just making it worst for power build. Now instead of just using melandru+food, all power build need to have more cleanses utility than they did last time. If not, you’ll get melted easily by conditions, and it is not fun because conditions is supposed to kill you slowly, not bursting you like a power should.

If you want a fair fight just call up for a GvG. WvW is never meant to be fair, its all about numbers and coverage.

This is bad. Your build are base on the rune, which is wrong. Rune and other stuff should be supporting your build, not the other way round. When EZNET finally decided to nerf the rune, then the build will be useless.

I use it on every blob fight in WvW and mainly on PvE.

The runes need to go, and I mean it.

I’ve never seen Twinbros in WvW on TC and I don’t really pve. If something smells like a troll and looks like a troll… You know the rest.

Personally I have my fingers crossed for another matchup with JQ, in my view the best T1 server to fight. TC has had far too many matches with servers with less 24/7 coverage than us and a scant few matches with servers with better coverage. We deserve more tough matches.

I’ll have to agree with your point. I do hope we’ll get more match up with servers that have wider coverage. Even though we’ll be outnumbered by a lot, but I prefer that than running around for 3 hours just so you can get a 10 min fight.

New gear grind come out>it’s too hard(lazy) to farm it>decide to quit>farewell thread on forum>bashing EZNET for catering certain players(pve).

Few months later, the issue will be forgotten with lesser players, more ghost town and EZNET will still add in gear grind. kitten will keep on repeating until WvW is removed/filled with fair-weathers.

The funny thing is, non of this will be taken seriously by EZNET even though there are logic ideas behind it. Best bet you’ll get from EZNET is…. Soon.

One thing I realize when people keep on bashing on a server for whatever dumb reason, please please please do say the time you are playing(NA/SEA/Oceanic/EU) as it’ll make it easier to judge your rage.

I run S/D D/P, I’ll usually CnD with S/D or spam D/P 5+2 skill(this combo deal damage if your HS hit the necro) and follow them while waiting for their form to goes off(Never played a necro, never bother what the skill name is, but I think you know what it is). The key here is to make sure their form is gone so you can easily dps them.

Most of the reply here are an advice that had been told long time ago, and it is useless imo. From the way I see it, most roaming warriors after the new patch will have a massive regen, with either Mace/Shield+GS or Sword/Warhorn/LB.

I wouldn’t care about the latter, I will be more on Mace/Shield+GS. With the trait Unsuspecting foe(give 50% crit chance against stunned foe), couple up with PvT/Cavalier set, a warrior can have 3.5k+ armor with 3k+ attack with huge amount of crit damage, and the ability to stun lock+100b rotation every 10 second. This is scary, it caught me a lot of time on my thief, and it is annoying. This does not mean they are unbeatable, however in order to defeat a warrior with this build it require a huge amount of attention on the warrior movement as well as your use of skill, which also means timing/skill level is everything here.

From my observation getting one combo buttkittened by those warriors, here is what their rotation is:

Berserker Stance>GS Rush+Whirlwind>Swap to Mace/Shield>Shield Bash/Bull Rush>Pommel Bash>Skull Crack(3 sec stun)>Swap to GS>100b>Repeat.

I’ve only beaten a skilled warrior using this build a few times, while others because they are just pure noobs that use OP build. Still, they do deal tons of damage and make me work for it.

The only best way to beat this build(from my experience) is to keep them blinded(so you won’t get caught by the chain CC) and burst at the right time. However it is easier to say than done, mainly due to if you failed to burst them, they will regen back and if you decided to autoattack after your burst failed, you will be exposed to their CC chain and it only means death to you.

tl;dr

Timing is everything.

There’s a massive Aussie guild at FA. I think it’s called Unreal Aussiess[uA]. They are cool, GvG with them before and had fun.

I cannot believe some of you here are talking about PPT. No one give a kitten about PPT anymore, defending keep/attacking it is just a way to farm all your kitten. The faster you realize it the better it is.

I kinda want all of us GvGers to just quit the game for a month, and lets see how lively WvW will be.

The point is that Anet, you are getting increasingly detached from your most loyal playerbase day by day. The proof was in that stream. I could not BELIEVE how you guys just ignored the people crying out for a GvG mode. You act like they don’t exist and even act like they detracted from the stream somehow….that stream was crap, to be honest, (some Q&A…..seriously) and it’s incredibly insulting to the hardcore guilds that make up the core of WvW the way you simply ignore us, in a stream for the very gamemode most of us play exclusively. I can’t believe how blind you guys are to this cash cow right under your noses. You try to push sPvP like the plague as an esport where a set GvG mode really has the potential to blow up. You keep catering to the lazy PVE crowd, the group of players will be gone to another game the second a new shiny one is out. You don’t cater to the people who can see what WvW really could be. We do our best with what we have, but I don’t think you realize, Anet, how GOOD the pvp in this game really is. There is a reason we started playing this game and still are, the few of us PvP people who are left. Most games don’t have pvp that is as good, as interesting, or as diverse as this game’s, less are MMOs. Even lesser still are still available to play. The siege buffs, especially ACs are completely ruining this aspect of the game. Do you seriously think that all the people trying to get you to stop are all trolls?

Believe it or not, whatever sample of the playerbase you have in your testing IS NOT helping WvW. I am trying to tell you. I am trying to warn you. All of us are. They are not representative of the people who play WvW. That much is obvious. The PvP people play this game to actually play the game and fight other groups of players. All people do anymore is sit in towers with siege, this is NOT the game that we love so much. That is spamming 3 buttons and having them be effective because they hit obscenely more targets than anything else, and do more damage than most player groups. How is that rewarding? How does that encourage actually playing the kitten classes in this game?

I am telling you this, because when both groups of people move from this game, the PvErs because of a new carrot and the PvP crowd because of horrible support from you guys, you will be left with no one. “Splitting the zerg” won’t matter. We have all seen what happens to servers when the core WvW guilds just aren’t there. They die. They have no community. The PvP crowd will leave in whole guilds and it will be sudden. The PvErs will leave slower but it will be steady and pick up as time goes along. You will either fix this now or this game is doomed to fail. I sincerely hope you change before you remember this crossroads when it is far too late. That’s my 2 cents and I think that many of the WvW crowd would agree with what I am saying.
