Instead of reworking the gs, the best way to fix this is making rush animation the same like ele’s 4th fiery gs skill.
I think this is becoming more of an issue now because these constant events are giving players 10g + per hour.
I dont think Anet has ever wanted us to ONLY play PvE or ONLY play WvW or ONLY play sPvP.
One of Anet manifesto is to want us to play the game as we wanted. Why should they force us to PvE just to get gold? sPvP is understandable since everone get the same stuff, but WvW, no.
Beside, getting gold is not the main issue right now, it’s how LS that lasted for 2-4 weeks making WvW a ghost town, since staying in PvE for 2-4 weeks can get you a precursor while staying in WvW won’t get you anywhere.
RAIN? kitten that. I want EZNET to stop making PvE update that drive WvW player to it making borderlands a ghost town.

1) Run around for hours
2) Find some decent guild opponent

-just so they can get some training for future GvG. PPT is all about coverage, not how good you play the game.

You are not supposed to spend all your time in WvW. It’s just one part of the game, and unfortunately not a lucrative one, neither for Arena Net nor for you.
AFAIK, Anet used to say they want us to play the game as we wanted. What give? They force people to PvE by making the event give tons of loot, thus making other part of the game dead. And these event lasted for weeks.
I respect you PvE players that spent 10 hours per day to farm gold, so you can be rich in a GAME, but think of us WvW player that just want a good 30 min fun fight and… nah I think I’ve made my point.

First of all, I would like to thank Anet with the living story update, it sure made a WvW player like me to be so thrilled with it. Nothing feels like beating a dumb npc with tons of hp, it is so much fun!
Now for the suggestion… Lets add a number meter on how many people are in the borderland so we can know how LIVELY WvW is.

For you people that keep on saying 1/2 stack of badges is easy to farm per day just because of you’re in a server that only promote blobs fight, think of the lower tiers where the max zerg fight they’ll get is 15v15.
I really hope Anet will think carefully about this, as it may be impossible for lower tier server to get ascended via wvw. Why bother spending months in wvw when you can get it in a week from fractals? Hate it or not, time is really important.

The real fix will be making the 5th skill to have higher consumption of initiative. Right now it is spammable making chaining CnD is easy even without the trait. Oh yes, same goes for pistol 5.

In all seriousness though, I doubt most of the point will happen since AN only have a group dedicated for WvW, which also mean getting new map etc will take a long time. Maybe wait another 2-3 years? I probably will be playing new mmo by that time, so AN, do something to keep your players please?

Avoid warrior for sPvP. For food and buff, I would say chef and Tailoring for making Master Oil(since you’ll need this a lot for crit chance).

Sea Of Sorrow is your best choice since they need NA peeps over there. You don’t really want to go to some lower tier server(t7) as they had a good match up there.
I heard rush now has a 40 sec cooldown if you dont hit anything……..oh,right.
Rush is so bugged atm even with 10 sec cooldown I’ll hardly hit anyone under 40 sec with the stupid fail animation at the end.
Well Anet is working on balancing warrior as last 2 updates, they have been buffing some powers and nerfing some others but no warrior players complain or contest any changes done so far. Warrior was underperforming and had not really any broken and overpower skill. (100blades + TW self buff were the only two that needed to be balance in my opinion// The incoming buff of signets are to be on par stats with the last patch buff for banners I believe)
tell me one nerf that a warrior got besides the quickness one? Their most damaging abilities now will be able to deal even more damage when they’re the highest damaging class in the game.
You do understand that 100b has to actually HIT the person, right? To do all that damage? Between lack of quick and constant condition removal and the inability to sustain, engage, and disengage as well as most other classes, warriors have quite the difficult time actually killing anything. Catching it, making sure they don’t dispell your immo/stun, and staying alive long enough to do it again if it fails the first time puts the warrior in a horrid spot. The amount of damage they do really is a moot point if they can’t actually deal it.
Just ignore that guy, he’s been yapping on the forum about how warrior able to deal 50k damage and is the most powerful class in the game.
The catch is, he is talking about PvE, which no one give a kitten about it.

If our gap closer is not that buggy at the end of the animation, i don’t think we’ll need a new skill at all.
This is stupid. Hammer warrior? I’m in tier 2 and I barely see a hammer warrior in a zerg. People will want more necros/mesmer/eles in their group for the combo field they can offer. Hammer warrior? I can take 3 of them with my hammer guard anyday.
Just for the sake of the topic, the most class I find atm is mesmer, thief and d/d eles. Engis gain a lot of popularity too, but it will never pass those 3 class that I mentioned.
If you’re T2 you must be from KN. Warriors are core components of every good zerg vs zerg guild – RG swears by them, for reference.
I’m not sure what bragging about killing one of the worst 1v1 classes on your guardian was supposed to accomplish other than putting the final nail in the coffin of your credibility, by the way.
Sadly for you I’m from TC, and I hardly see 5-10 hammer warrior in a group in TC.

sustain > healthpools .Not only do they have sustain, but they have condition removal/amazing utility.
They can turn all there conditions into boons and have access to perma protection.
Do not forget the perma retaliation, which make getting kite is not that bad at all. OP just need to learn more about guardian, I don’t really have any hard time chasing people other than D/D ele and shadowstep thief.
If so, as someone else mentioned in other thread, how about cleansing condition as you use the burst skill? With this, you will need to use your adrenaline more often than keeping it up at all time.
One question, did you play it on Hotjoin or tourney? Those two will give you a huge difference experience, though you will need a premade team for tourney and a certain build(roamers/bunkers) for it. As for hotjoin, it is mostly the place for players to kill each other while experiencing how weak their build is and how OP their opponent build is.
So yeah, you can’t do everything here, though some class are able to do so, but still there is a way to counter it. It is all about your build.
To answer your question, you have not experience it all, but it will be best if you know all the classes/build first.

Thief are able to cleanse condition everytime they go invisible, why can’t us have it everytime we have full adrenaline? I’m not saying we should have a condition removal every 3 second when you have full adrenaline, but something that have the same concept as that will be better since Warrior really lack ways to remove conditions without speccing full shout+soldier rune, it’ll just make other utilities useless.
The only condition removal that I use atm is the signet, though it have a huge cooldown making it not really that viable.
I had a suggestion on another thread where the 15 point minor tactics trait would cleanse 1 condition per adrenaline bar used, may be a bit too good if it was every time so possibly give it a 16 second cooldown so it’s only useable every 2 attacks.

We all know going “kill them before they kill us” mentality is the best way for a warrior, however conditions kill us really fast. Thus I’m hoping something could be done for this, due to guard are able to have 2 conditions removal in 10 sec, while thief able to have a condition removal every 3 sec while in stealth, why can’t us have it with the use of our adrenaline?
I would love if we have a trait that give us a condition removal every 5-10 sec(pick one) when we have full adrenaline. It is not that OP, and it does goes well with warrior(since it depends on adrenaline, which is what the class specialize in), what do you guys think?

Guardian hands down. They have good damage, high healing abilities and a good way of condition removal+stability by just using the utilities. Despite their low health pool, their amazing healing abilities(one of the healing ability remove a condition every 10 sec and heal up to 80% of your hp) will cover up for it.
Unlike guardian, a warrior is more to a straight up class. You lack condition removal(unless you spec to shout build+soldier, which make you only have one build to play), most of your burst skill is nerfed, and it is easy to dodge warrior skills if you’re experienced enough.
TLDR;
Guardian can be everything, good dps/tanky/good healing abilites in one build/sets, but a warrior can only be one, as in only dps/only tanky in one build/sets.

We’re just a bunch of people that want to have some good fight. Sure we can have some in CD, but staying up 4am every single day won’t work it. How about few hours later you say? Most of us have this thing in life called work, where we can get money to support our hobbies, family etc.
TLDR;
Stop hating and please understand the situation. Playing at night after work just to knock some door does not pleases us.
All warrior need is a good way to remove conditions. Stacking shout+soldier runes does not make it, it will only make shout build to be viable, and tbh it is not that good either.
First thing I’ll ask from the dev, is change Rush completely. I’m playing at SEA time and it suck for me to have a high ping due to client distance with server, thus making skills like Rush/Bull’s Charge to be very hard to land it. Maybe change the animation of rush to be like Elementalist fiery greatsword(at the end of it there is a leap thus it is easier to hit a target, unlike the buggy rush we have now). Next is a better way to remove condition, apart from shouts, or maybe make Shake it off remove 2 conditions instead of 1.
So a few guilds that had enough of ramming doors without any obstruction are unable to transfer server freely without criticism/oblique view just so they can have a good match up? Seriously guys, ramming the doors for 3 months is not. Fun. At. All.
Stop whining, we are humans too, we want to have fun and fight with a real players, not guards and doors.
Nothing wrong with asking about it, but just know when is the right time to do so. If there is “orange swords” at your keep/smc/towers, then don’t bother asking for a mesmer in JP. Help your server first, it is WvW anyway. Beside, why would a PvE players need sieges? Most of the PvE do it for the badges to get a legendary, heck you can just run the JP on 3 borderlands to get those badges. It only take 10 min per run and most important is, 90% of the time there is no one at those JP.
Sorry to say this but I hate PvE players that jump in WvW, doing nothing, making the map have a queue just so he can get a few badges and sieges. Like wtf?
I agree to this, like seriously. Rush is so buggy atm anyone with higher ping(Oceanic/EU/SEA) will have a hard time landing this skill. Dev need to see this and please make an appropriate action. I’m tired of using rush just as a gap closer/running away, I want it to deal damage too!
The majority of WvW pre patch is the one that only care about getting WxP. Don’t bother asking them to push in because they won’t unless you push in first. From my experience, get a group of 10-15 to initiate the clash, and let the pugs follow up and deal damage from ranges as most of them are pussies.
Instead of getting bandwagoners of WvW players post patch, we get the achievement kitten with no skills instead.
Is it just me or does most of the WvW player pre patch only show up when there is something to cap? Or when there is a downed player everyone rushes to tag it, or even worst seeing a zerg of 50+ people stacking up on a sentry even though your commander ordered you to chase down enemy zerg?
What happen to the good old ground fights? What happen to defending keeps with sieges? Few moment ago my server keep was attacked by another server, no one even bothered to defend it. After 5 of us rammed the gate down few minutes later, I announced it on map chat and booyah, 20+ dots arrived to lord room.
This is getting ridiculous.
Some part of me agree with OP, while other don’t. Downed state is a must for WvW, if not I’ll just roll on my thief and kill a person which is running in a big group and escape easily. Removing downed state will only make more griefing on a certain build/class.
However, I’m totally agree with elementalist downed state skill. Just hate it when your attack on a tower failed due to 3-5 elementalist jump down from a tower and aoe the crap off your sieges, get in downed state and able to get back into the tower and revive themselves safely. Something need to be done about this.
Ever since 26/3 patch, I’m unable to play this game as what I used to. WvW is impossible, even fractals and dungeons too. Solo is still doable but still when i’m unable to cast skill for 30 seconds, the result is still the same.
Anet, you want us to explore the game, you want us to play the latest patch in the game, but with this lag(which I believe not on client but on server), how is it possible for the players to explore the game?
