It’s not greed, some people are collectors, this game is built around collecting stuff, remember no virtual progression but horizontal cosmetic progression? Achievements, collections, wardrobe, outfits, minis, etc, that’s the type of game they are promoting.

The real greed is the way anet is starting to manipulate the availability of these items.

I see no greed in what Anet has done. The BLC needed some love and more worth for it to be worth it to purchase and this made them a lot less lack luster.

What I would do, is make a ticket scrap a guaranteed thing. Ie: If you buy 10 keys, you know that you’re getting a BL weapon skin on top of pressing your luck for better items. It’d be like dungeon tokens in a way, you know you’re slowly working towards a goal as you buy keys.

I might note that I do say this as someone who is not a gambler. With chests as they are now, I will never buy keys, ever. The gamble just does not appeal to me. If I knew I was working towards a weapon skin as a sure thing, with an additional chance of maybe getting something else cool, then I would buy BL keys once in a while, because then I get the excitement of maybe getting something nice, but also the assurance I’m not completely flushing money down the toilet even if I lose.

I am also not a gambler but an invester when it’s wise. I guess some people like to throw their money away at a chance for something. But what strikes me as a bit crazy is how they could be throwing so much money away for 0 scraps. It would be 1 thing if what they were rolling for was a full weap inside the chest but just scraps being such a rarity seems insane to me! O.O

That’s not the problem. The problem is how it overrides phantasms / slow / lacking dps for how slow it is. Not the clone generation itself.

I agree with you. And with the upcoming option to salvage SOME ascended I feel that they should be IN GAME. Not from chests or from Gemshop.

Yeah it should be obtainable in game in all honesty. I find it odd that something like that is so rare to obtain. Even if it was a reward via pvp that would be great. I mean why not? tomes and transmutes are!

IN truth I think this should be something put into the game for karma or something. Salvaging shouldn’t cost gems. (Excluding the salvage-o-matics of course)

Common Contents still needs a vast clean up.

Things that should be bundled or REMOVED
-Instant Repair Canister (Remove this)
-Bank / Trading / Merchant (Bundle this and allow us to choose one)
-Teleport To A friend (Remove this)
-Tome of Knowledge (We can get this in too many places in game. It’s not needed in the chest)
- Unidentified dye (Make this no less than 3 dyes)
-Trans Mute charges (Make this no less than 2-3 or remove)

Uncommon Drops is looking all right.
-Revive Orb (Remove)
-Black Lion Salvage Kit (Remove. Edit – And add into game. With ascended soon to be salvageable it would be reasonable to find this other than via gems.)

Lastly!
Bundle the boosters and allow for us to pick which one we want. This will remove some salt because it’ll give less odds to get one, but will also stack with all the bundled ones we already have.

The best improvement imo was allowing for the finishers to be sellable. Adding them and making them work this way is fantastic! The items currently removed today were a great step as well and I can’t wait to see how much more the BLC contents can improve in the future.

As someone who solely uses Scepter over any other weapon. . . I find that the issue isn’t really the condi being placed by it. I like it as it is. A jack of all trades as many have put it. The issue for me isn’t how slow it hits either (which is fine because we get clones) but maybe if we got a small increase in AA damage. It feels really lacking for how slow it is.

Edit – I use it mostly in power builds (and 1 condi). The burst is amazing via and I’d be heart broken if that changed any!

When this first came into play for me. . . I didn’t notice. I was rather impressed by how much money I had on 1 character I didn’t care about… So! I spent it all on dyes.

Though even with such ideas . . . I can not bare my chest comfortably. It just feels so odd. XD

Actually it’s not at all lazy design. It’s design paying attention to the lore of the game which is (or was) that Asura and Charr don’t have gender distinct clothing.

Well then I learned something today! Thanks for that!

I still will have a hard time wearing certain items but ah well. There’s still some stuff that appeals to my tastes ^.^

Hey everyone! I know this might be old news to MOST of you but today I finally decided I’d make my first Asura.

She’s absolutely adorable! As I opened my outfit tab and I started to click around. . . I am baffled that as a female Asura I am topless. . . wearing the male version of the Lich outfit.

MMORPGs are hard for someone new to gaming to really get into. There is so much to it that people can get lost.

There are a few games online that would be more simple for her to get into and you could join her even your stepdad. I hope it’s okay to mention one in specific: Pogo. It has tons of board games and word puzzles. It’s free to play.

I got my grandma to play pogo with me. She really enjoys a lot of the word games.

But I can’t imagine if I got anyone in my family to suddenly have an interest in MMOs. The world is just too vast and the fighting system would take a lot of getting used to. They wouldn’t really see a point in a lot of stuff like acquiring gear or armor skins.

The way I would look at the auto attack if you want it to be “planty” is that it is healing allies with the power of photosynthesis somehow. It is called solar beam after all.

There’s the Duelist armor for mediums. The shirt is long, but it’s long EVENLY. So less of a case of buttflaps and more waistflaps.

It’s helpful to point out there are some that don’t do it. Because it’s very limited and only proves my point. XD

Over and over. A few days after a patch, I try to repair. Having nothing running but gw2; my normal ping of 60 skyrockets to 430. My fps drops from 45-60+ to 3. I go to testmyspeed.net and my actual computer is fine. Other games run fine. Experience no lag.

Regardless, I reset my pc several times and nothing fixes the ping / fps issue other than a full resinstall. I really don’t want to have to do this anymore. Can someone explain to me why this keeps happening?

Anet has said that elite specs change your profession icon and profession name. We haven’t actually seen this in game yet but it should be there at launch.
