Maybe…. but jewelcrafting isn’t here either. Maybe you should wait for jewelcrafting to come out and then see what happens to orichalcum. I don’t think it’s that massive as that the supply will run dry, but it could definitely go up a few extra silver IF jewelcrafting is appealing to the players and it requires a lot of it.

You can’t really blame anyone for speculating in a market though. Speculating is speculating, no investment is a sure fire thing. The TP will eat you up and spit you out if you let it. The TP is unforgiving. The TP feels no remorse.

I’m from Desolation, and I tried guesting to other servers but I always end up in the same deserted map when I log-in.

This place is already a ghost town. No one is doing the events. Something has to be done about the rewards. I’m not asking for a Crown Pavilion part 2. But if the place is deserted 1 day after launch, something is definitely wrong.

All legendaries usually cost 500-1000g more if you buy them straight up from the TP. It depends on what you get faster, the karma/skillpoints/etc to craft a legendary, or the gold.

I think Gift of explorations is the longest part of getting a legendary, besides farming the gold. If you have the karma/skillpoints I would suggest just crafting it, cause you already have the gift of exploration. Unless you’re really good with investments or flipping and can get gold easily. Then buying it straight up would be best.

The only exception is Eternity. If you want an Eternity it’s cheaper to buy it straight from the TP than to craft it yourself.

I really hated the jungle in gw1. I did it once, and for all my successive characters I would just skip it and go straight to the desert.

Hope they make it better in gw2.

A friend of mine got the Colossus from a champion mob in AC (Not troll). So it does drop from champ bags.

Opening 14.000 shouldn’t entitle you to a precursor though, the chance is really really really really really low. I’ve opened 75.000 champ bags from the pavilion alone. Threw well over 1000 rare greatswords in the mystic forge and have over 4000 hours played. And I’ve yet to see a single precursor.

How many bosses are you killing in this fast rounds? All of them? Then you deserve get no reward because in 4 minutes you can attack each boss only with 1-2 autoatack.. You should be grateful that others do that job for you. Because you do nothing.

I never get only 50 karma, and we do very fast runs. Since Boss Blitz start I get 900k karma.

Wow… accuse much? I only do 1 boss and donate. We kill bosses every 3 minutes. And yes, I get mad DR. Only getting 50 karma per event. Unless I stop donating. Seems like the donation event and the boss events are linked.

The Hunter.

You can unlock it by crafting the Predator (legendary), but you can sell it too. You will still have the Hunter unlocked on your account. That’s what I did.

This armor is AWESOME. The fact that you can wear it for free without transmutation stones, combined with the fact that it gets unlocked for your ENTIRE account. This just makes this the best armor set in-game. At least for me. Totally worth 700 gems.

-Include the birthday booster again. Even if people don’t have characters that need the experience anymore, the 100% bonus to karma, magic find, gold, and wvw rank is still very enjoyable. Not to mention, it stacks with other boosters.

Birthday Booster doesn’t give a karma booster. It really sucks, cause that’s the only one I really care about.

You could play this game for 100 years and never get 100 red rings of death. Don’t model pre-cursor crafting on randomization that is that extreme (mystic clovers are already random enough).

That’s what the pristine fractal relics are for. That’ll be an easy 1100 relics. I guess you forgot that rings could be obtained through relics and wvw badges

1100 days to get a precursor… seems like a good solution.

I’d rather farm the 1k gold to buy a precursor from TP than do over 1k fractal dailies. Way faster too.

Actually if you read DEKeyztoChaos sticky on the Ele forums, he says staff is a low dps weapon unless you are in fire. It does provide good fields like you said though but scepter/dagger or scepter/focus provide a much better burst dmg while providing more utility for your group imo. I personally run scepter/x but have used staff a lot and I just felt staff was meh at best…..but to each their own.

You are totally right Sauzo. DekeyztoChaos said that staff not in fire is kitten dps. But that point of that build is exactly to keep camping fire.

LH +S/X = Lower DPS than Staff ele in fire camping because
1) You can LH auto-attack continually since you don’t have enough charge with the two harmmer to always auto-attack and that you need to go take your second hammer. Obviously if you are good, that problem is limited, but still at some point you won’t have a hammer to use if you attack, attack, attack, attack. But with the staff, that’s not a problem.
2) LH + S/X is squishy and you need to stay in melee range. If you don’t, you lose a huge part of your DPS by losing your hammer. Again, this can be limited if you are good and never die. But seriously, even the best Elementalist will die from time to time with that build. You have like zero defense and use your healing skill to pump might so.
3) You pump might, time during which you do little DPS compare to when you use LH. Of course that help your group DPS, but its less personnal DPS.

Overall, the LH build will have less personnal DPS, but give more might. Personnally, i prefer to have 1 LH Elementalist and then all other elementalist should be Staff Ele, because there is no really any reason to get a second LH Elementalist since you already have enough might. Ok maybe a second LH Ele, if nobody else in your party can stack might, but that’s rarely the case and Staff Ele can pump a couple of might themselves anyway.

1. With the number 2 trait in fire, you will get an additional 10 charges. And you will have charges indefinitely because by the time you have used your 2nd hammer your LH skill will be recharged.

2. This might be true, but even for staff (if you run the proper build) you will need to be in melee range. For dungeons you need to stack, and if you have the earth trait (which you should) you will do 10% more dps when in 600 range (e.g. melee range).

3. The might blasts do a significant amount of damage, during might blasts I can assure you that your DPS is not lacking in any way.

I agree that Staff ele is the best DPS. The loss of 25 partywide DPS outweighs the personal DPS you get from staff though. So if you’re the only ele (or person that can do Might to the party) then you should run a mightstacking set. Else run staff.

With 2 or more ele’s definitely have only 1 LH/might stacking ele and the rest on staff for the max DPS group setup. 1 LH ele that keeps hammering (and blasting) away in the constant firefield should provide 25 Might and 2 minute fury all the time.

But to get back on topic, staff for necro is pretty good as it provides AoE (though necro in is kinda iffy in pve in general).
Staff guardian is just bad, unless you’re tagging mobs in open world.
Mesmer staff is just bad.

Add them to the wallet please. (and eventual new uses for people that already have full ascended gear and have no use for them anymore)

I hope most people realize that even after the “nerf” zerker remains relatively the same. It should illustrate to everyone that was never the problem, but the AI for mobs is. How many strategies consist of los to a corner, pull mob (can replace it with pushing mob to corner), use fgs and aoe it until it dies? I’d say a large portion of encounters are like this.

The reason why this strategy works in a vast majority of encounters is because enemy npcs do not scatter out of aoe. Why did mobs scatter from aoe in gw1 but not in gw2? Its beyond me.

If mobs scattered from aoe then a lot of different builds become more viable, mainly those that revolve around CC. Even healing would become a tad bit more valuable.

In gw1 mobs didn’t scatter from aoe at first either. They added this mechanic later and it effectively killed a lot of farm builds and/or made a lot of farms excruciating long. Who knows, they might add something like this in the future. So enjoy stacking while you can, we might have super slow dungeon runs in the future.

Been doing fractals since fractals came out. Sometimes even do 3-4 dailies a day. And I still don’t have all the fractal skins I want. I know a guy that does the same and all he wants is a fractal dagger, but he has never gotten one.

Something needs to be done about the mad RNG related to fractals. Doing a 1 hour dungeon and ending up with a useless ring worth 5 silver is not exactly what I call fun. And yet I keep doing it, because I still have hope that someday I’ll get something good.

If you don’t want to play Zerkers then don’t play with zerker only parties. All indiscriminate accepting parties don’t check for zerkers.

That would be possible, but when something goes wrong when doing the dungeon, it’s blame the “non zerker” phase as the boss didn’t died fast enough and we wiped.

Makes me wonder though, if you’re not running zerk, and you’re not keeping the party alive. Then what are you doing?

Something has to be done about the spam messages though. Hard measures against pvpbank maybe? I don’t have a problem with gold selling websites in general, but the spam seems to be only coming from pvpbank. And the messages are horribly long to make sure they cover the entire chatbox. I got 5(!) messages from pvpbank yesterday within 5 seconds (I’m being totally serious). This has got to stop.

I think it will have the property of being a ‘transmuted’ Advanced Spinal Blades. Even though it has the original skin. I know that you could transmute 2 of the same items before the patch and it will be the exact same item except it had the description of “transmuted” on top of it. This is just my theory and what I know about transmuting. I’m not entirely sure that this will be the same as your situation, because I haven’t done this yet with that item.

Though I’m quite curious too now.

While we’re at it, can you add a new way of obtaining this? I missed out on the living story due to a small break but I really want it. If you’re going to change the functionality of it, I don’t see a reason that other players have a chance to get one too.

Maybe some players didn’t want it with the current functionality, but if you changed it they might have changed their minds.

No, it means that you can’t get more than 250 bonus chests waiting for you in the pickup. This was done because of a bug that gave people 10,000+ bonus chests waiting for them, but they didn’t want to remove them all so that people that still had some bonus chests waiting wouldn’t be screwed over.

And yes, this is about the chest you get for your server’s position at the end of the week.

The only reason why it hasn’t sunk to an all time low is because of speculators and investors. No more drops, increased laurel price to get them. It doesn’t take a fool to figure out that it’s only a matter of time….

It’s bugged for sure. My entire guild runs fractal twice a day, we kill these bosses frequently without taking any damage and none of us still have it unlocked.

Also, it’s not like those chests have anything good in them. So I wouldn’t exactly call this bug game breaking (and no, the 0.00001% chance at getting ascended doesn’t count as good loot).
