This patch changed nothing. Zerker + scholar runes in pve is still the best. Hands down.

This is most definitely a bug. It’s awesome for sure, but I don’t think the devs would like it if Mesmers were allowed to stunlock lupicus lol. (and yes, it works on lupicus to the point where he can’t do any attacks)

It’s the middle of the season on reset night. If we get banned for playing wvw because of this glitch then.. well. I dunno what to say about that. I think it’s safe to say that you can play wvw while this is going on.

Scholar runes are still the best when you’re in a group for damage. But Runes of Strength are definitely the best runes now for soloing.

There is no available recipe to infuse it. I know, it stings. You make one of the most expensive backpieces in the game and you can’t infuse it.

Hopefully they will update this in the future. But hey, at least tomorrow I can give it to an alt and use a fractal capacitor and just transmute the skin on it with the wardrobe (without losing an ascended backpiece by combining the 2). And so can you!

Crystal Desert?

Make a legendary for the class you play the most. If it’s thief, then make the Dreamer (or Incinerator). If it’s Warrior, Guardian and Mesmer equally, then make Twilight. Easy decision. The one you play the most, will be the one you look at the most.

After a few updates ago I’ve been having major lag with the Harp. The flute has been working perfectly though. It’s really strange, sometimes it just ‘hangs’ for a bit and then plays a note really late. Also when you wait for a few seconds and start to play again it takes a long time before the first note is hit.

The random delays are really annoying and are really hampering my playing ability on them. Can this be looked at please?

This thread is too big to read it all, and it’s probably already mentioned before but….:

PLEASE don’t change Tequatl times like this. The times you’re putting his spawn in are times that people are either sleeping (4 am) or in school (1 pm). And for me personally while I’m at work (7pm). I know other people who have work at that time too.

For us you’re putting the Tequatl spawn times at hours where we won’t be able to do Tequatl at all anymore. What’s wrong with the 2 hour daily spawn time? I can’t speak for other servers, but Desolation has been killing him for at least 8x a day since people have figured out the mechanics.

I’ve also yet to receive a Tequatl Hoard, regardless of killing him 2+ times a day since release. You’re killing me here with these changes.

On a different note: failing a wurm attempt now means you have to wait 8 (!) hours to do another one. How can this possibly be seen as a good idea?

Too late for this imo. The majority of people who were going to make ascended armor have already done so and already paid for or used up their stocks of silk and damask. If they decrease it now, all those people will be unhappy about it and consider it very unfair that latecomers get a great price break and reduced costs that they didn’t get.

If this was true, then the price of silk would go down. But it’s not, meaning that people are still crafting their ascended armor pieces.

They did confirm on the livestream that you will get 1 transmutation charge for completing cities.

The drums are OK. Even better if you got a syncopated group that acutely practiced, and not just beat the heck out of them. Can you say tips?

What really was annoying was when the horn first cam out and people just blared them with no melody in mind. What this boils down to is the lack of practice. I applaud the instruments, but people PLEASE practice before you unveil your hidden musician!

My favorite is the flute.

As I told another respondant GW1 did/does just fine for the past 7 years without a TP and gem store...

GW1 also had a trade system. In GW2 you can’t trade through mail, because it requires too much trust. And there are simply too many scammers. Removing the TP would mean no more in-game trading of any sort. Which means you would have to collect EVERYTHING yourself. GL on crafting ascended gear.

I don’t like the drums. They’re not like the harp or flute at all. With only 5 notes instead of 21 like on the other instruments I feel more like an observer than I’m actually playing the drum. I guess its easy for people that don’t want to bother to learn how to play the instruments in-game I guess.

Assuming you’re going to use that many +1’s. Now the time it would to craft it all would take ages, and you don’t need a +30 agony infusion at all (yet). But yes, it can be possible to craft it.

The time it takes to craft an infusion is 1s. I think the 2nd one is faster… maybe 1/2 as long? iuno. let’s just say it takes 1/4 second to upgrade an infusion. Then it would take 67,108,864 seconds just to make all the +2 infusions needed for a +30 infusion. that’s 2.13 years. Total, it would take over 4.25 years to go from +1’s to +30. Now let’s assume one person with lots of gold is paying 10,000 people to do that crafting for them (kinda like buying it off the TP). each person would have to do 3.72 hours of crafting. not farming; crafting – watching the bar slide across the screen. each person would need to start with 214.7 stacks of +1 infusions.

I’m working on my +30 infusion as we speak. Time = money.

lol, but seriously. I don’t think a +30 infusion is meant to be used by anyone. Not at those prices anyway. And you don’t need it. I think by the time anet is gonna open fractal to go higher than 50, they’ll adjust the recipe.

Because dungeons don’t drop ascended armor/weapon chests, and you can’t get fractal skins there.

That seems like an overly costly recipe. Why not just scale the recipe up the same percentage as from an 18-20 slot bag. No need to make it cost 10x as much just because it’s labeled as ascended when all you get is 2 extra slots.

Have you checked the price difference between 18 slots to 20 slots? It costs 5x more. I don’t mind paying a lot for the luxury of having 2 extra slots.

I stand corrected on the amount of infusions needed. However, that still leaves the orginal question, it is even possible? Not including the gold needed, is there enough bag space/bank space available to hold that many agony infusions AND Thermocatalytic reagents?

Yes, because you upgrade them to higher tiers. You don’t need that many stacks of +1 agony infusions. The Thermocatalytic reagents is also calculated from scratch. Assuming you’re going to use that many +1’s. Now the time it would to craft it all would take ages, and you don’t need a +30 agony infusion at all (yet). But yes, it can be possible to craft it.

Repair canisters are nice in fractals. Anywhere else they’re not really used cause an armor fixer is always somewhere around the corner.

It was supposed grant Rank Points. However, it was found to be granting Glory, which is being removed, and activating the Chalice has been temporarily disabled while it is corrected to properly grant Rank Points as intended.

Please give them a bit of time to make the adjustment so when you can use it you will get what it was described as giving.

I want a refund on that Chalice >_> I got glory instead

I was kinda hoping the Mistfire Wolf Elite Skill, Suit of Legacy Armor and the Mithril Box (18 slot) were account wide. Heh… I’d be happy if only the Wolf and bag were account wide…

The bag is a one time thing. The Mistfire Wolf Elite Skill is account bound however, so all your current characters and future characters will have it (new characters need to be at least level 30 for it to unlock). But the skill is really bad and only really used while levelling. This is a good thing though. If the skill was actually good then it would be pay-to-win.

They need to reintroduce the permanent hair style contract at least. 2500g buy order and none available is just absurd when compared to the other permanent items.

Too many investors in this market. So I would say it’s not worth it. Like other people have pointed out, they rarely go up in price. Or it takes at least 6 months to see any sort of increase.

Oh well, thx for posting the results. It’s posts like these that prevent me from losing a lot of money/gold, because it shows that the drops aren’t for me.

The gate is just pure DPS. Just do the most damage you can possibly do with your class. For Elementalist 1 fiery rush + lightning flash will kill it instantly. Mesmers being one of the lowest DPS classes in the game should NOT be doing the gate. Any other class will do it faster. Also: Bring a stability skill if you’re having trouble with the flame legion guy guarding it. And just run around the gate in circles to avoid his flamethrowing attack. Dodging through him works too. It’s better to be a bit slower, than to be dead.

For the running part on all classes:
All you need is condition removal. As long as you don’t get perma-immobilized, you’ll be fine.
Blocks and stuff help too. For elementalist that’s Arcane Shield and Mist Form. Cleansing Fire for condition removal. Or Ether Renewal as a heal (removes a lot of conditions).
You don’t need all these skills, but with them all on your bar I fail to see how you can fail the run.

Because if they remove waypoint costs then we have a HUGE problem regarding inflation. 2-4s each time doesn’t seem like much. But if those millions of players are allowed to keep their gold because waypoint costing has been removed, well…. expect to pay a lot more for your materials in the future. Inflation is bound to happen at a rapid speed. I’m talking 1g+ vials of powerful bloods and other t6 mats.

I have multiple gemstore armor/weapon skins as well. I’d love to get a refund on gems (don’t really care for my money back, just the gems would be nice so I can use them for other stuff).

But like people said, they can’t do anything pre-patch. I’m going to make a ticket after the patch and hope for the best.

For me Rata sum is always the slowest. I move ultrafast, but there’s always some POI’s, i need to run 3x for, before i finally realize at what level they are.

The Grove is 100x easier for me. And also very compact. Hoelbrak is also easy for me since i know every poi secret (played 6x norn at release, so basically i just remember the city very well). Black citadel goes fast except for a few things like in the outskirts ruins (with trees). Divinities reach used to be slow, but i’m getting the hang of it now and is also faster.

I would rate Grove best, then Rata sum (if you know the secrets, not me thus), then divinities reach, then hoelbrak then black citadel. But last 3 are quite close to each other.

You’re doing it wrong. When you open the map you can switch levels on the bottom right corner of the map and see at what level the POI you need lights up. That’s the level your POI is on.

Rata Sum is by far the fastest.

You’ll see that the ones that can be dual wielded has risen the most. Craft 1 bolt/incinerator and be able to dual wield it after april patch? Yes please. More people have caught on. And there is your answer.

Also account bound legendaries and you can make multiple copies are making legendaries more wanted now.

No, legendaries and ascended weapons/armor will be ACCOUNT bound.

Why? You still need 1.5k+ gold and other accountbound items to make one. A lot of people have legendaries now. Deal with it. Everyone that actually has put in the effort into getting a legendary is psyched about this new update.

I wish you luck on your investment! With that said, I have made lots of gold on skins in this game and decided to stay far away from Scarlett’s weapons during the last event. Here are my thoughts:
-First, they were over-farmed.

-Second, they are of a weapon type that is underutilized in both PvE and WvW outside of Engineers— a class which tends to shun skins due to the effect that kits have.

-Third, the TP has been a mess of over speculation for quite some time and the price rise on this item was not from people wanting to “use” the skin.

-Fourth, you gotta go with your gut on aesthetics, and both of Scarlet’s weapons looked like crap.

Pretty much this. The third one was most important for me. Guess I dodged that bullet.
