Hmm… I don’t really like the concentration sigil. It works only 70% of the duration witch might mess up the rotation a bit, especially the one with CS. It would still be possible tough, but for my taste it’s a bit too “happy world” oriented. Not so easy content or when you have to tank, wich might force you to stay longer than 10 sec on your shield or whatever will drasticly reduce the efficiency of this sigil. I wouldn’t blame anyone for using it tough, it’s good, but just not my style. You also shouldn’t ignore the fact that you’ll miss a dmg oriented sigil with it.

I like the 2nd option much more, even tough those sharpening stones are ridiculously expensive. I’ll probably just stay with my leadership equip.

I honestly do not know if it just says ,25 or if it really is ,25. It might aswell be just a tooltip thing, I didn’t do any testings on that so far. I mean there are attacks that have strange numbers like 0.84 is a common one and for conditions even small numbers count aswell, why would it be different for boons? Since quickness stacks 9 times it’s hard to tell how it works, so I’ll simply get my 100% duration. We could test it with another boon like reta or aegis tough… ;3

After you use the block on shield there’s literally no point in staying in Shield anymore, the cooldown is long enough for you to swap to your other weaponset and back, and it will still be on cooldown. Skill 5 on shield you want to combo with Sigil of Concentration anyway.

The trick to using Sigil of Concentration properly is to only cast quickness skills when it’s active, this means going full yolo with Continuum Split, weapon swap, spam all skills, CS, spam more skills (If there’s no break in between you can just about make it). Or you can take the easy route and Continuum Split, weapon swap, spam all skills, come out of CS. Wait for weapon swap to come off cooldown, then weapon swap and using your wells here. Both ways achieve the exact same result. The 2nd option is also useful for when you need to do other stuff like positioning yourself correctly.

The important thing is to never cast anything outside of the Sigil of Concentration.

I like that the OP showed multiple ways to get the same amount of boon duration, but with Sigil of Concentration is just vastly superior.

Chrono is obvious. Illusions is required because it lowers the cooldown on shatters, and that means a lower cooldown on your alacrity/quickness wombo-combo. Additionally, illusions lets you take PoM for a near-permanent uptime on active defense between shield 4 and sword 2. The last choice is inspiration because of the additional defensive benefits it gives. You’re continually healing yourself with shatters, and that lowers the healing load for your druid, allowing them to focus on healing/damage buffing the others. Additionally, you’ll pop out iDefenders a lot (~every 8 seconds), and that provides solid uptime on a massive damage reduction for your squad.

Chaos is unnecessary. It provides a small damage reduction, a bit of protection…and that’s it. You can get protection in other ways, the damage reduction is unnecessary, and you really don’t need that regen. Stability is also completely irrelevant. There are zero ccs in vale guardian, and the only cc gorse has is a huge blockable/dodgeable smash.

If you want to bump your dps up to help the raid, take the build I’ve posted and replace all knights/cavs gear with zerker gear until your toughness is just barely higher than the next highest toughness person on the team. The boss aggros with toughness, and so you just need to be higher than the next one, not necessarily as high as I run with.

You’re overkilling it with the toughness. With all the blocks/evades and stuff you don’t need that much toughness. The survivability is in the ‘blocking’ attacks, not actually taking them to the face. You only need enough toughness to draw aggro (which is usually accomplished with 1 or 2 knight rings).

Also I would swap out Well of Recall for Well of Precognition. If you have 3 shield phantasms up they will provide you and your party with permanent alacrity (Well of Recall is still nice, but Well of Precognition just helps so much with tanking).

Well of Eternity is alright, but you can also consider running Signet of Ether. It instantly recharges your Shield 4, which would give you an extra 2 blocks. It’s just personal preference though, Well of Eternity is good too.

While in Auric Basin on my Guardian, I found and killed the Treasure Mushroom, but the “Invisible Mushroom Spore” the event completion gave me did NOT count toward the Guardian/Dragonhunter’s “Ydalir” Specialization Collection.

Instead, when I right-clicked on the “Spore” item and clicked “Item Collection Achievement,” it took me to the Warrior/Berserker’s “Wild Abandon” Specialization Collection.

Is this working as intended?? Do I have to kill the Treasure Mushroom multiple times on any character and hope the Spore that’s granted counts toward my Guardian’s collection?

Yes, thats how it works. You have to kill it 9x if you want it for all the collections.

After the patch went live I lost the progress on most of the new maps and have no waypoints unlocked or anything. Whats worse is that I had completed Dragons Stand on ALL my alts, but that progress is also wiped now.
This sucks even more because I used like 10 portals to a friend to get to Dragons Stand in the first place and now I just lost all the waypoints.

Would like some clarification on if this is gonna be fixed, or if I just wasted a lot of resources and time for nothing.

Sounds like an obvious bug. Still waiting on a fix.

I’m confused as well. Feels like a really bad conversion rate if you have to spend 100+25 ley line crystals to get 10 airship parts.

I thought 25 > 10 was a good conversion rate, which makes me think that this is a bug.

We completed this, the break bar is insane. It took us like 30 minutes for 1 boss fight because we could not break the breakbar (the one with the grenades, where you have to stun him with the grenades to do some actual damage). The last boss’s breakbar was fine though if I recall correctly and we managed to defeat him. It took us over 1 hour to do the entire instance with a party of 5 people (all in fully ascended berserker gear).

It was a really good challenge, just the breakbar was set a bit too high. We were doing attacks of 50/100 damage on him, so it took forever to kill him.

I have the same. Also with the achievements not showing, but I did get the sniper and jumping down one. Can’t seem to get Untethered, so it must be bugged.

When Nightfury is equipped you see the bats flying around the person, but after a while the bats vanish and it’s like you have no shoulders equipped at all. For the price that this item costs it is kinda disappointing.

Re-equipping fixes the problem, but this is in not how it’s supposed to be.

The only other item in the game that is comparable to this is the preserved bee queen. It requires you to give up an ascended slot and take subpar stats. Yet it still sells for ~2000g.

This item is ascended can be given any stats you want and has an even better effect.

Anyone who expected it to be less than 2000g was just having unrealistic expectations.

But at least the queen bee is a drop! If you don’t want to shell out the money then you can farm for it…. there is no other way to get this except to dish out the money.

What? Everything is a drop. You can farm Nightfury, go out and get the Flax seeds, glacial/onyx lodestones, bat wings, heck, you can even ‘farm’ for the Endless Bat Tonic by killing stuff and getting Trick or Treat bags.

Although, I wouldn’t call a rare rng drop ‘farming’. It’s getting lucky.

I’m stuck on this story step and staying away from it. Wasted too much time on it with all the bugs. Let me know when the bugs are fixed ;_;

I just tried to throw in a Red Ring of Death [Infused] that still had my agony infusions on it. The MF didn’t recognize it. Maybe it’s just the RRoD?

Pretty sure you can throw rings with infusions on them in the forge, but maybe it was an old ring (from before the wardrobe patch), that ones don’t go in the forge for some reason.

I tried a few times and eventually it worked. Just keep trying I guess.

Are you sure? Because I did it too and completed all Tyria masteries in 6-8 hours of doing this.

I would have no problems with this if it wasn’t for the RNG. If you got a guaranteed mat from it, then it would’ve been fine.

Rings are the only ones that don’t drop Balls of Dark Matter.

Most precursor craftings are slightly cheaper than the actual TP price of the precursor. But, you’re able to sell it on TP when it’s completed.

I would have much rather preferred a 3 month long process that was relatively cheap with lots of account bound things, than what we got now. There’s nothing epic about pumping gold into a collection.

Not sure why they decided not to release the full recipe when it’s only obtainable for 2 weeks.

Yeah my problem is that all my alts have rings that don’t appear in the forge and I kinda don’t want to waste a million pristine relics again to gear them.

I have a lot of ascended rings that don’t show up in the forge window, so I’m not able to upgrade my current rings. Is this a known bug? Anyone know how to fix it?

My theory is that the rings are old (that I got them before the wardrobe patch) and that’s the reason why they don’t show up.

I love HoT, I was really sceptical, but I’m really loving the new expansion.

Can we at least make them unlock accountwide? Getting all specializations unlocked on the 8+ characters that I have is gonna take me a lifetime.

Just craft it, I’m 99% sure that the majority will still use Berserker’s set. And if anything else, you can always convert the stats for really cheap in the forge (just remember that you’ll lose the runes in the process).

When’s Arctic Explorer Outfit? I missed it last year.

In the update list it said:

And it got me happy for nothing, cause it’s not there.

It’s something to strive for I guess… but I wouldn’t waste any gold on it because its pretty fugly.

Am I the only one that’s bothered that it’s almost impossible to get Skillpoints/Spirit Shards since the update? Levelling up after level 80 doesn’t reward you with a spirit shard anymore, so dungeons doesn’t help anymore. Sure, you get 3 a day for daily, but that’s not really a lot.

Seems like the only way to get spirit shards is by opening champ bags, which seems like a very flawed system. Why were they so easily obtainable before the patch, but now not anymore, what was the reason for this?

Q: Well what do you need spirit shards for? I got 5 billion on my account hurrdidurr

Now we just need the Empyreal one for those who missed it. Can’t believe this one was temporary and the other 2 are permanent.

Submit a ticket ASAP if your slot is missing. You may get lucky and have it solved before the event ends. That’s the best advice I can give.

I would probably be more excited if they just started off with a few classes and added more every few months. Same as for dungeons. At least then it would feel like the game is evolving and they would add new stuff on a regular basis. Instead they went with the living story route.

Yes. Needs to be timed properly, but luckily it has a ¼ cast time. And bring Mantra of Concentration in case you get grubbed.

Also, use Empowering Mantras trait (Domination XI) with 3 mantra’s+feedback (just-in-case, I always just pop both TC+feedback at the same time) and try to get as high precision/crit chance as you can. You can use precision food or 10% damage while moving (Bowl of Seaweed Salad), but the 10% damage food is usually not even needed to one-shot him. I use 6/4/0/4/0.

If done properly it should insta-kill him like Guardian WoR.

edit: I was talking about a group setting, wasn’t sure if the OP meant in a solo or in a group.

Droprates are a joke, and the fractal tonic is a lie. Anyone that has one in-game used a hex editor to get one.

Also, I think I speak for everyone when I say that we want to exchange our useless 5 silver rings for something useful… 10 rings = 1 ascended chest of choice? At this point I would even be happy if I could just salvage it for 1-3 ecto and 1 mithril ore.
