The thing people also seem to be missing is that this is just the skin. It is the appearance of a Legendary without the always BoS interchangeable stats of the thing itself.

If you just want to look like you have two of the same legendary you could stick the skin on another one, but if you want to actually have two legendaries you would still need to make another one.

For me, this might actually give me incentive to get a legendary because I find them to be absolutely hideous. There isn’t a single one I like the look of, nor the special effects that accompany them. With this system I can mask the Legendary appearance without ever losing it.

Could’ve done that already by transmuting it onto another skin. And if you wanted it back to use a transmutation splitter.

They still need to pay 1 charge per armor piece right? So in the end you’ll probably have saved some gems for buying complete sets for your alts.

I’d suggest waiting until the blogs that are coming out tomorrow say what they’re going to say. Then, I’d consider maybe (depending on what they tell us) investing in unidentified dye and putting it on the market at a pretty high sell price. If we’re still able to use UIDs for account wide dyes, but they’ll no longer drop in the world, then the remaining supply of UID may dry up before you get back.

Otherwise, I’d suggest any mid-level crafting supplies that you may have on hand be put up for sale at a slightly high price. It looks like the new trait changes are going to make people want to rush to level 80, and some of that’s going to involve crafting. Low level supplies are easy, and we’ll be seeing more and more high level characters getting high level supplies. Mid level, however, may dry up.

I doubt unid dyes stop dropping. They are used in recipes like crafting The Bifrost.

Best bet is to invest in sigils, cause on 15th of April everyone will be buying more sigils to gear their 2 handed weapons. Sigil of Force is a safe bet.

EDIT: How wrong I was.

Wasted 300g in the mystic forge. Have played 3000 hours and never got a single precursor drop.

Just buy one from TP man, save yourself the headache. Precursor crafting isn’t coming for a long while so the prices of precursors aren’t going to drop any time soon.

How does this build work in big zerg fights? Somehow it seems like it’s impossible to tag a variety of enemies for loot bags (except for Chaos Storm, which has a very long cd). This is also a very important aspect of WvW. :P

All 8 professions: full zerk, used for everything. I play the class whichever I feel like playing at the moment. And sometimes use the class that’s needed in the party at the moment.

Only Ele, Mesmer and Guardian have full ascended and are used for high level Fractals though.

Mesmer: Tailor/Jeweler
Guardian: Weaponsmith/Armorsmith
Thief: Huntsman/Leatherworker
Ele: Artificer/Chef
Warrior: Weaponsmith/Chef
Necro: Artificer/Jeweler
Ranger: Huntsman/Jeweler
Engineer: Jeweler/Chef

(I just used most for levelling, that’s why I have doubles :P)

This would render all other sigils useless. Everyone would run a day and night set and have 10% damage boost all the time. I like the idea, but then other sigils need to get buffed to compensate.

On top of all that you would still be having a DPS loss for the first part of the dungeon while building your stacks. In all fairness I don’t think stacking sigils will be worthwhile at all.

Stacking only works if your party is using blinds, and your guardians are using aegis. Also, you can still dodge while stacking. If you dodge into the corner/wall you still evade attacks, but you don’t move out of place. Stacking doesn’t stop you from getting damage, it actually makes you more vulnerable. That’s why you need the blocks and blinds.

Stacking all mobs is just a faster way of doing things. Stacking behind a corner makes all ranged enemies move into melee range. Essentially stacking all enemies close together for an easy kill. Also, attacks like warrior Whirlwind attack and elementalist Fiery Greatsword do a lot more damage when used against a wall.

I would vote against this. At least keep light/medium/heavy unique in some way. Makes it somewhat easier to identify a class quickly in pvp too.

Magnus was going for 34s so I bought a couple to be on the save side. But I didnt do any real jump as I do not really understand the mini market. It will take a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong time before Mini Magnus will be profitable (if it will ever happen, which I doubt). There’s is too many of them, and none of them are ever bounded on an account. Because mini’s are never account bound after use.

Look at Mini Holographic Risen Knight, that one sells for 56s now (9 months after release).
That is the future of Mini Magnus.

The Risen Knight is a bad example because
A) Its forgeable
B) It still drops from Dragon Coffers.

The fact that it’s forgeable would make it more valuable than Mini Magnus, because Magnus is not. Also, if you look at the price history then Mini Risen Knight has never gone above 1g. Always fluctuating between 50s-70s. Even when dragon coffers were not available anymore. My point still stands: mini Magnus will never be valuable.

We just killed all 3 knights with close to 1 minute to spare. And only 3-4 people reported they got the achievement from map chat. None of the other ~150 got it.

I haven’t made any mistakes like that fortunately, however I’ve wondered if it wouldn’t be too much trouble for them to include the mystic forge on the list of things that can’t see the contents of invisible bags.

+1 for this. I’ve forged some exotics that I didn’t want to forge (fully runed, transmuted gear). Not as bad as a precursor, but still. Quite annoying.

I don’t get why anet hasn’t figured this out yet. Fractal Skins are also one of them btw, but they are behind such an RNG-fest that it’s almost impossible to get the one you want unless you do fractals religiously.

When I logged in to my HOM in GW2, they where gone. Apparently someone (Black Lion traders?) raided my HOM in the past and took them.

This is probably the only reasonable explanation. I don’t see any other way why our weapons would just disappear like that. Darn black lion raiders.

Simple answer: most enemies do so much damage it makes defensive stats mostly useless. It is a “kill them fast or get killed” situation. There is also a thing called “dodging” that exists in the game, where a timely dodge nullifies all damage that would otherwise kill you.

“Day 1” was March 1st.
“Day 2” was March 2nd.
All the way to Day 31 as March 31st.

I won’t speak for Shades.4572 and how (s)he words items in text, but for the image I’ll continue to update, I’d rather not include the day of the week on it as the days of the week are not the same for everyone due to location, just as the date is not the same for everyone. Knowing there are 31 days of sales, and 31 days in March, and Day 1 was on March 1st (server time), it seemed easier for everyone to just state the current day’s sale item.

I’m just glad they are sellable so I can get them from TP without the hassle of RNG black lion keys. I love the shield! At first I was worried, but they look a lot like the gw1 weapons. Kudos!

So, this just happened. I teleported on the ship. And me and a few others got stuck ‘in the air’ and we couldn’t move.

So I just used the portal to get on the ship and I spawned downed on the floor inside a laser together with 30 other people. Can we please get a fix for this? Kinda impossible to get the achievement now. Or is this part of the difficulty?

That will not work. You can not recreate a deleted character and have items soulbound to another attach to it. The only way to get a deleted character back is through an account rollback.

This is true. I tried creating a character with the exact same name to take out a soulbinded item. And it didn’t work.

This is so messed up. I could just feel the feeling of helplessness as the two players were trying to extort money from you. Such a horrible move to do on their part. Like seriously. Why hasn’t there been a fix for this yet?

I can confirm this. Even without FGS #4 if you have 25 might on the entire party and are just hammering away, you will kill it instantly too. Resulting in the character that was inside being glitched out for 15/25 seconds.

You can confirm it yourself by doing 2 full LA events. On my level 30 character I got 1000 exp per event and after I hit DR I got 10 exp per event. Only way to get rid of it is by doing something else. Mobs still give about the same exp though, it’s just events that you get DR on.

After a while you get DR on events, meaning you get 100 times less experience for it. You have to complete events outside of LA to counteract this. The best time to do it is in the 15 minutes of down-time when the LA event isn’t running.

Also, Birthday boosters, experience scrolls, food, etc, all help a lot.

I got level 80 at launch in 3 days (no crafting) [on a mesmer as well!]

Nice, but nowhere in your post did you say anything useful on how you leveled so fast.

Doing map exploration solely for the skillpoints on an alt is the fastest way. Can get 200 skillpoints in 1-2 days.

Same here. Rotating events doesn’t matter because the DR is zone-based. You have to play and do other stuff outside of LA to get rid of it.

It’s kinda of stupid to get flagged for DR when you’re just doing a living story event.

I’ve seen both ends of this:
Last night, I rezzed a player who got downed by toxic krait in the water (he/she went too close to the giant drill).

I ressed, and they swam off, without a “thanks” or anything.

I find the lack of manners in this one disturbing..

On the other side, when I fight groups and 3 people run past without stopping to help. or they bring their aggro’d enemies with them, I find that a bit rude too. I’ve been fortunate enough to (most times) be able to manage the load, but for goodness sake, help a brother out.

As for “Not safe to rez”, Well, I got downed, misted away to safety, but because of area damage, my heal kept failing. 4 groups of people ran past, with no enemies around and didn’t bother to help. I wasn’t “dead”, just in downed state.

I find this sort of thing has been happening a lot more lately.

Well. I’ve seen people actually get downed again cause they stopped to type “thx” in mid-combat. I also never say that mid-combat. Unless it was out of combat then I will say it.

Not enough reward for helping downed players. I’ve had multiple occasions where I ressed downed players only to go down myself (because for some reason you can’t cancel ressing with dodging). And in that situation I’ve been left to die several times by the same people I’ve just saved.

A person can only take so much. After a while you just say: “Alright, enough. There’s no reward for me ressing you. Why risk it?”

What halo are you talking about? I don’t see anything. Are you sure you used the potion?

On a regular note. Yeah, the scaling is a bit off on that one. Way too tiny.

Salvaged 150 rares, 143 ecto. Seems to be working normally.

It’s a nice item, but it’s way overpriced. No one will ever make this.

If it wasn’t for the rich iron nodes it would’ve reached 10s+. I’m just glad it’s iron and not cloth.

I’m a complete noob at this music and tabs stuff. Can somebody tell me how I would play this song? Like, almost exact description, because I have no clue what I’m doing here. If you could, an explanation of sorts on what all of the above numbers/characters mean?

I didn’t actually write that. But i know what it means. The annotations kinda confused me at first too, because it’s different than what most people write in tabs. That’s actually because no one has yet to write tabs where you use this harp-like technique of playing songs. The problem is that numbers in brackets () usually means higher octave. But it actually doesn’t in that tab.

In this tab the numbers inside the brackets () mean that you have to play them really fast after one another. Kinda like gliding your fingers along the keys. So that you get that beautiful harp sound.
The 0 means switching to an higher octave, this is because 0 is binded by default as this key.
The 9 means switching to an lower octave, this is because 9 is binded by default as this key.
