re·ward – a thing given in recognition of one’s service, effort, or achievement
en·ti·tle·ment – the belief one is inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment
I very much enjoy this item and those of this nature. The auras are splendid and add a nice touch to character customization. I also appreciate that not everyone will have it immediately so it will have its prestige for a while. Leaving the achievement/title available all year is awesome I see quite a few complaints about it being a “grind” when it truth it’s not in the least. All 10k points can be purchased off the TP making zero to grind. Players seem to generate complaints nonstop about design because they can’t immediately get something with little/no effort. According to these players EVERYTHING (harvesting mats, crafting, FotM,WvW, Achievements, skins) that creates/requires gold is a grind.
The only thing I can say I dislike about these types of items is they take up an armor piece removing some character aesthetic. If they could be forged into an infusion or upgrade item then promoted continuously they would be perfect.
You have remainder of the time you play GW2 to get 10k drinks. Seems fine. It’s a want not a need. The achievement is permanent so you don’t need to get all 10k within Wintersday. Continue playing. Spend some coin on drinks every once in a while. Yoou’ll have it before you know it. There is no grind here unless you make it one.
Oh nice post information to social media and not your OFFICIAL WEBSITE. Stupid.
Same problem. Is anyone actually playing atm? need an ETA from Anet on the fix.
Silverwastes and Dry Top are good maps to go to. They’re to the left of Brisban Wildlands.
This is a good place to re-start. There’s always plenty of people in these maps that can help you out and the events are very simple. Dry Top usually has someone linking which events are where and Silverwastes is straightforward. They will also get you ready for what HoT has to offer if you decide to go that route and they provide you with a fair amount of loot for you to get w/e you need.
I would also suggest completing your story will help you a lot and if you like to, a little map completion never hurt no body.

I LOVE PRECURSOR CRAFTING TOO!!!
Especially the fact that you don’t have to purchase a single thing from the TP to do it. the fact that you can casually farm everything you need and eventually get your precursor is great. It only takes 2-2.5 months and casual play and daily crafting and you got your precursor. Plus, the adventures some one them put you on and the collectibles you get really add story behind their creations. Such as spark and combining all those different things to make the Ever-Burning fuel. The only problem is the bugs and broken collections. Bugs bugs bugs. 90% of the game.
100 deldrimor is 100 days is more than 2.5 months.
One of them cost 100 Deldrimor? I haven’t seen that one yet. From my experience Zap is a 3 ingot crafting both handle and blade totaling 75 (2.5 month) and since GS are also 3/3 so i postulated the same would be apply elsewhere but hey pedantics and is merely 2 weeks more. Still love the crafting.
99% of that outfits arent worth it because they’re whole pieces. Now that HoT is out they should work on breaking outfits into individual armor pieces. they have plenty of time and resources now. And it can’t be any more difficult than what they’ve done with the armors released with HoT.
A BIG tip I found its incredibly easier if you drop your field of view down to almost as low as it will go and reducing your camera rotation speed. It helped alot. Field of View reduction is like looking down a scope.
This skill will sometimes activate but not make you jump into the air. It will give the animation and a puff on the ground but you will not move. I notice it happens most when running. This is the same broken junk from Dry Top.
I have a separate tab set to only display whispers. This is due to the consistent spamming from gold sellers. Since HoT the tab will sometimes get stuck with the appearance of having new messages (Flash on Unread messages). The only way i found to clear it is to completely shut down the executable.
After activating Cap Hop I do not get a range indicator sometimes. This results in my mushroom just sitting there or jumping straight up. This is preventing progress and completely breaks the chance for gold in this adventure.
The problem is that everyone sees things with $‘s for eyes and everybody wants everything right here right now instead of seeing the lore and venture of crafting the weapon. It’s the cost that everyone complains about. If it’s not a cheaper easier alternative or if they can’t profit off it they’ll complain. If you think about it all you have to do is a few hours each day of casual play and craft your daily mats (1 of each per day) it would take 2-2.5 months (depending on pre) and you’d have it.
IMO daily play and crafting sounds much easier then saving up 500-600g. Then here’s where people bring up “opportunity cost” with, once again, those Scrooge McDuck eyes.

Repeatedly occurs where I’m pressing space bar and my character does nothing but keeps running. This happens mostly when climbing something or running against a wall. It is very easy to reproduce. Originally I thought maybe my keyboard was dying but I’ve tried it on 3 separate boards one of which is brand new. So its definitely not my keyboard nor is it lag. Sometimes the only way I can get up something is by “drum-rolling” my space bar at 40k KPM.
Can do it the Anet way and just remove it all together. I have a question. For what purpose does an entire map need to see a mentor tag? Why would anyone outside of local chat “range” need to see your little red apple?
Explained multiple times in this thread. Organization PVE/where to go.
That’s what a commander tag is for.
Exactly my point. If you are using a mentor tag to command or organize that would be misuse/abuse. It doesn’t need to be map visible. Keep it local. Even the “Mentor” before the name should only stay in local chat.
Maybe what ANet should do is remove the use of Commander tags in PvE. Those tags were originally meant for WvW anyway. The mentor tag is the PvE variant.
Can you show me where this is stated by Anet? That they were only meant for WvW.
I can’t find where they even discussed commanders at all back in 2012. If they did, that post is gone now with the multi changes they’ve made to the forums and blog posts.
But tell me, in 2012 when they were introduced, what PvE events needed a commander tag with the ability to count the number in their squad and adjacent allies, the names of both the squad members and allies and the amount of supply being carried both by squad members and by nearby allies? The structure of the commander’s abilities is clearly for WvW. It later became useful for pve. But that doesn’t mean that’s what it was designed for.
So where does it say they were only intended for WvW? Oh it doesn’t? Which events needed to count squads? none. Which events existed the made it useful to have a tag? Plenty. one tag to do both. There’s no need for another one. So back to the subject, where does it say they were only intended for WvW?
a big hint would be that they require 250 badges of honor wich are only obtained in wvw
So do legendaries. Does that mean they should only be in WvW? You used to also be able to get badges of honor in TA. A PVE dungeon.
Because ANet has revamped their forums twice, their blog posts at least twice and old information in the wiki has been rewritten and revised multiple times, a lot of old information from back in 2012 is gone or not easily found. So in that case it’s necessary to look at the structure of the commander tag and what PvE was like back them to detemine intent.
No PvE events back in 2012 needed a commander. No PvE events needed a squad and no PvE events need supply. All the commander features were only useful in WvW back in 2012 when the commander tag was created. After a few revisions of the game the commander tag later became useful in PvE but that is emergent gameplay, not something that was the original design of the tag.
So you are making assumptions.
The tag was designed to lead large groups of players both WvW and PvE. If it was ONLY designed for WvW they would have designed it to only work in WvW and would have made a PvE variant from the beginning. But, alas, they didn’t. They had one tag to work for both purposes. The community, 1 day after launch, might have said “oh i can turn it on in PvE too” doesn’t mean it was only intended for WvW. So unless you can link a quote from a Gm or Dev specifically stating “they are for WvW”… assumptions…
At what point would you be mentoring someone from the other side of the map? When would a mentee not be near the mentor?

It USED to be. Two weeks ago it was great. Now everyone and their grandmothers is there and it is starting to suck. Everyone wants to take control and do it their way because they know “the best” way to do it.
edit: ruin the next few days for everyone, that want to reach t4 on vb. it will be fun, i swear
You know that thing called “scaling”? yea don’t blame a few farmers for your failures.
just remove it completely from the game. There is no purpose behind it but to have something related to the Pact and to make people feel like they’ve earned something. Nobody needs a mentor. if someone has a question simply ask map chat, guild chat, friends, etc. if somebody wants to lead people and they really have the knowledge and experience to teach something then they can afford a commander tag.
If that’s too much for them to do then simply limit the tag to being only visible by party members.
ya it’s completely stupid to give Collections rewards that are soul bound seeing how to achievement is account bound. i would just hold on to them as Anet will most likely change this. It can only be an oversight as they would not purposely do something like this.
Not at all. I made Spark in a few hours. There is no time gate so there’s not really anything to complain about. It was not that costly to craft. I don’t think I Spent over 100g. If you play the game you get what you need. Instead of crafting ascnded materials and seling them. Why not save them and use them? No problem. Once the servers are back up I’m going to continue on my second pre for some profit. Should be done in a few hours. Just gotta wait for world Boss rotations.
There is no Achievement for the Clocktower. Check your achievement page. In 2012 there was an achievement. but thats history. So unless you can travel through time…
Guardian Wall of Reflection.
It is not spawning as the indicator is showing. Its completely random. I use the skill with the indicator horizontal but it randomly spawns vertical or at an angle. makes the skill incredibly difficult to use and sometime just useless.
Dropped out of Mid flight during 2nd flight sequence. could no longer deploy glider afterwards.
Mordrem Canach permanently invulnerable.
Canach not going down to give shield.
Run a few loops of The Silverwaste chest train and you will have a couple stacks.
After finishing the the last champion in this room our group ran ahead and pulled all the Dredge to behind some barrels (screenshot 1). After clearing the Dredge Tarleov refused to move from his location. He should have walked to pick up the “small” rock. This prevented the dungeon from continuing.
I’m being followed while under the effects of Stealth. No, I am not revealed. It seems a lot of the AI has infrared vision and follows you without attacking. I don’t know how common this is because I don’t play Thief too often, but, I have started to play much more as of lately. Unfortunately, this is game breaking for thief and needs to be fixed.
Dear OP,
Message me in game and I will help you get your weapon master in a MUCH MUCH quiker way. Took me 20 minutes to get my shield master on engi.
Easy fix to this dilemma. Easy fix. Put a few ambient groups in home instances. This would also help reduce candy corn/ToT production when its limited to 5 players.

played everyday since update, no less than 12 hours a day. just got first drop in CM Path 1
You will need to dedicate copious amounts of time to GW 1 to achieve the necessary requirements to obtain the 50 points. Everything mostly has speed clears but they require time to learn them. I get too distracted by GW 2 to continuously play GW1. When i log in it just seems old and boring but if you’ve never played you might find yourself getting more into it. If you really want the 500 points I say go for it. One of my favorite staff skins is achieved through HoM and it is IMO probably the best staff in GW2.
What would be the point? the traps activate when an enemy would walk over them. So if they were remote detonated also, it would still require the enemy to be over them. not much of a difference.
I don’t spam it at all. I enjoy a rotation between GS, Shroud, and my scepter/dagger combo. I use it maybe 2 or 3 times then rotate again. I try to run a balance of power/condi because the vuln/might stacking is fantastic. Its nice for finishing off trash but I’m never spamming it on champs.
This would be a great idea as long as it would be time gated to one or two key a week or one every 3 days. Key farming was good for players who didn’t want to grind too buy gems or swipe their cards in the gem store. Since gear grind will be needed for Raids now players will need their gold. Nerfing the key farm only dissuaded players to not even bother with them at all. It was their only way of obtaining them. Their drop rate is terrible as is the BLC loot. Account bound mini’s you cant forge/sell, combat boosters, lame tonics, teleport to friend. The rare chance you got a decent booster or scrap was only thing worthwhile. They don’t balance out as gem store purchases… unless you’ve got a gambling addiction. 2-3 keys a week through other means would be great. I think if players found themselves getting better products more often from chests they’d be more inclined to purchase gems for either keys or gold.

Druid’s are party healers. Now this just means druid in your party will mean bad players trying to run zerker/dps will die less often. So dungeons will either go 1 Druid 4 zerkers, or people just won’t want to put up with the loss of dps and will say NO DRUIDS.
(edited by Chuck.8196)
This just sounds boring and would get ignored by 90% the player base. Don’t really see a point but to add s type of “mini-game” to keep people busy. Almost as bad as additional player housing. But I’m not gonna make another post to try to defend my opinion with pointless objections and reasons so I’ll just stick with its too boring.
Might stacking is a big reason why PvE is all about stacking
Actually , stacking is about pulling numerous enemies into one area to easily dispose of them. It’s carried over from the first Guild Wars. Grab aggro, break LoS, watch them all come ball together, destroy. Pulls in the ranged enemies with the melee. people just assumed it was ONLY for FGS and might stacking.
Multi-boxing back-to-back-to-back Breach/VW/Lab.
This is under Radiance trait line its the 2rd option in the 1st minor. It reads:
" Critical hit chance with one-handed weapons is increased. Sword skills recharge faster."
Critical Chance increase: 15%
Recharge Reduced: 20%
Also, after wielding no weapon my critical chance is at 30% but when equip a one-handed berserker’s with Sigil of accuracy weapon it only jumps up to 41%. That is only an 11% chance increase from the sigil and precision gained. where as it should be a 26% with the included 15% from trait.
A scepter is a one handed weapon. But the increase in critical chance from the trait is not being applied when equipped. this seems to only be affecting swords.
I too am happy with it. It requires people to fully participate to reach greater rewards. No exp, karma , or enemy drops? Who cares. Plenty of other places to do that (99% of Tyria). Also, the rewards vendor makes items available to players through direct game play that would typically be only accessible through Gem Store purchases. The only bad part is that there are items being offered that should only be available through special events from the past. Limited items that provide unique aesthetic appeal to players who witnessed and participated in the historical events of Tyria. Because they are available the forums are blowing up with players crying and complaining that the price is TOO HIGH. They simply need to remove the 2 potions from the vendor and all should be well again. Then again, “We can’t get all 4 skins so they’re too high” will most likely start showing up.
I was curious if this is suppose to be like this? I can play Guardian and Revenant Spec’s but Rangers isn’t there. Friend is disappointed because she loves her ranger.
Sure am glad I made these instead. Not too smart to turn 2 karma into 1 Enchanted Booster. That would be like throwing away half your boosters.
The outfit is is not five different outfits. Wedding Attire is Wedding Attire. outfit is outfit. It has unique look for each race just as all outfits should. I cant wear the norn look on my human or the asuran on my charr. They should not be jacking up the price just because there was a demand. Extortion.
lol. Extortion?
Extortion: the practice of obtaining something, especially money, through force or threats.
Tell us how the bad ANet threatened you.
Let me help you. You forgot the part " intimidation, or undue or illegal power, also : to gain especially by ingenuity or compelling argument" . I forgive you though. I don’t expect much from those who get info from Business Insider and think MKUltra was in 2012. ISP must block a lot. No reason for a near 43% increase in price. Then it’ll be on “Sale” for 700 later.

Selling something much higher just because people want it is with undue power. It doesn’t matter how much time it took. There’s no additional gain from the outfit so its no different from other outfits They chose to create individual skins. Do Anet employees get paid in gems? No. They don’t so your argument is illogical.
Except, there was no undue illegal power or ingenuity or compelling argument from Anet. They provided an offer – 1 outfit for 1000 gems – and you can either buy it or not.
Commas tend to be used to represent and/or; not specifically the word and. In this case they mean or. You see how words are bold? Undue i.e., just because they can.

I wish I got a ticket to this exciting event. I’m a local and I went to both the previous parties. They were fantastic. Got to meet some great people and had some great talks with the dev’s. I hope you guys enjoy your party!
I’ve posted this before so I’ll post it again.
Staff
Given the whole idea behind Martial Arts.
Looks promising. I called staff a long time ago but people doubted. It only makes sense. Either as melee or Shadow Arts focus I’m sure it will be bunches-o-fun!
It’s thrilling to see how the evolving world consistently provides exciting and enticing challenge that brings together a collective of aspiring hearts to work together.
See you at PAX!!!
What do you mean 20 minutes? The flavor texts all still say 1 hour for all the boosters. Do they only last for 20 though?
Home instances and soon guild halls so adding ANOTHER “home” option would seem redundant and just pointless. you don’t even know whats gonna be available with guild halls so not much point to it.
