Grandmaster traits are suppost to be powerful, other classes have grandmaster traits that can completely change the class and your saying thakittens OP.
The trait is called SPIKED ARMOR…
Armor = Protection.
Spikes = Retaliation.
I don’t see how it seems OP, it can only proc off melee hits, and to be honest we need to be able to survive in melee anyways.
Rangers get protection every time they dodge… along with evasion recharge and vigor as well as easy regeneration.
Anything with class and flavor gets immediately shut down… can’t believe anyone these days.

Would be an interesting dynamic, but then you would have people like me rolling around in builds like 0 10 30 0 0 30, running around with zerker builds with 50% protection uptime and still blapping kids.

Why is Spiked Armor weaker then other classes minor ‘5’ traits?
Example here…
Guardian
Tier Adept Type Minor
Vigorous Precision
Gain 5 seconds of vigor when you deliver a critical hit. This effect can only trigger once every 5 seconds.
Warrior
Tier Grandmaster Type Major
Spiked Armor
Gain 5 seconds of retaliation when struck by a critical hit. Cannot trigger more than once every 15 seconds.
Isn’t there something wrong with this picture? Spiked Armor is so weak comparingly to this trait it doesn’t even make sense, both are toughness traits, either something should be done to fix and improve spiked armor, or traits like Vigorous Precision should be moved into their respective major grand-master trait alongside altruistic healing.
Here is my idea.

Now that (almost) every warrior is using this build, and the fact that warriors are the most played class, I and many other people on the forums in different professions have had to make builds just to find how to counter all these stuns.
I’m not saying stunlock, unlimited healing warriors are OP but when every single class has to change traits and runes just to counter one class, it becomes OP.

Actually it shows that there are more guardians playing currently then warriors, and the only reason its the only played build is because skull crack is all we have.
If we had sustain, more weapon choices and our other weapons mattered then we wouldn’t be playing the same build.

And let’s be honest here for a moment. The only reason axe offhand supposedly “sucks” is because it’s not the best choice at anything. For damage, Mace is better. For mobility, Warhorn is better. For condition damage, Sword is better. For utility, Shield is better. With that in mind, is the solution really in increasing the damage?

Yes, but if I’ve understood correctly each champion will have a unique drop that only comes from them. They’ll all have one, but they won’t all have the same.

Nothings wrong with having mobility, We just no longer have the ability to essentially spam RtL, because a skill with such escape potential on such a low cooldown really was just overpowered. I mean do thief/Mesmer shadowsteps/teleports and invisabilities have cooldowns that low? No they don’t usually, its 25 to 30 seconds for an ability that dosen’t move them as far away as RtL can. I’d say we’re balanced and should accept this and be glad that the CD is 20 seconds when you use it as a DPS-gap closer move.

I’m actually sure that warriors are viable for PvP. The thing is: They don’t bring anything unique that justifies taking them over other classes. If necros aren’t going to get nerfed i can think of CC spam warriors being brought to counter them.

No if you try to attain the heal power of 1,400+ your damage will be as bad as warriors. Its really simple math if you look up the skill modifiers. My heal power in my build btw is almost 700.

They can do 1 but not the others. Condition is stuck in the fire/earth lines so you either pick do damage and have no boons and no healing or have boons and healing and no damage, this is why cleric amulet is popular for bunker eles and not the shaman one.

Toughness already colaborates to armor, its physical, if we put condi damage too there, then bunkers will be bunkering conditions too.
Bunkers mostly use protection/evades/mobility/evasion/stealth/healing, not actual toughness. (Armor won’t count, only toughness.)
Shamans amulet and clerics amulet have a lot of toughness, soldier too. But yeah bunker depends on protection anyway, and protection cant be the boon for reducing condi damage thats for sure.
Most Guardians / Eles don’t even have that much toughness, they mostly stack HEALING POWER/boon duration, because protection is so much more powerful, so is evasion.
Toughness is actually underused because of diminishing returns as well.
If high amounts of toughness reduced boon duration, it wouldn’t help bunkers that much because bunker builds only stack armor up to 2500-2750 due to diminishing returns.
After 2500ish armor its usually better to go for healing power or boon duration or vitality.

Nobody uses Cleric Warrior in PvE because it does absolutely nothing damage wise, your literally bleeding all over your target for damage, but as the guy said above can switch for that and do other things.

I would rather see new traits then a swap system, swap system would lead to spam and pretty much devalue a lot of builds due to the fact you can just switch to what situation you want.

Geyser (x2) = 29.16975/s
Regen Boon = 309/s (Perma Regen Easy! <3)
Evasive Arcana (x4) = 273.7/s
Water Blast (x30[Max Could be 35? Easier to say 30.) = 114.1/s
Soothing Mist = 151.75/s
Glyph of Elemental Harmony (x1) = 122.35/S
(The CD for it is 25 seconds, so I can only get 1 instead of 2, 5 seconds off.)
In 40 seconds, 39566.76 (If I got 5 more seconds I could go a lot more, probably jump to 55k due to the 4 seconds on the heal.)
Add Mango Pie and you have 42966.
I could add even more from the water fields, but yeah that would be way too much work.
