The lack of stability or mistform really shows in those 1vX fights, where would throw you around like a ragdoll as soon as you started stomping.

if you really want stability then change utility 2 to AoE and swap Cleansing Wave to Soothing Disruption.

if that fire trait with poison ever comes into effect i can finally drop sigil of doom!

stay the way you are lol. generosity will help you A LOT since you don’t use the water line. i suspect you use the burning fire trait and if you use focus then earth 4, so yeah keep generosity

lol since you’re using scepter don’t use geomancy

you will love sigil of geomancy. along with sigil of doom nothing’s better.

Ohhh your obsidian flesh is off cooldown all the time, like you didn’t use a second before against the sword 3 spam of a Revenant or you just used it not do die all the condi/AOE spam near the node and now it is 30s CD.

Tell me your trick, how do you manage OF off CD all the time, apparently it seems it is your only defense against Thiefs.

can i ask what for? i see glyph as a better option. swiftness on the go, condi cleanse when using the heal skill in water attunement plus it’s a big heal.

thieves don’t sit on me all game. i sit on them. i would never allow myself to get beaten by a thief 1v1 in pvp. it will never happen.

the only time i would lose 1v1 on the node is when I’m 1vX or a dirty heavy necro comes with them crazy condi transfer skills.

i think the reason why you guys think condi ele sucks is because you’re trying to push your fire/earth/x builds and “cry” (not being mean) when you get bursted or killed easily.

about the toughness, i had no problems whatsoever with using the carrion amulet when i used to do ranked matches. the vitality helped a lot and compensated for the lack of toughness.

and i am in full support of removing celestial amulet

The problems I see:

- That build has 0 stability, which means that competent players wont let you overload and even non competent players may prove difficult as in WvW with tons of people spamming skills random interrupts will happen.

One observation about “it defeats every single build in the game”:
its not the ultimate build as far as I can see.

It doesn’t have a lot of stability, I know, but it does have one coming from earth overload which I think is all I need tbh. If I wanted to I could switch out utility 2 and put in AoE and switch to Cantrip Mastery if I felt a lot of pressure, which I rarely don’t.

I never said it was the ultimate build in the game. I said I wanted to make a build that could beat them all, that was the main concept/idea behind making the build.

@fuzzion – dunno why you would use boon duration stuff tbh. My opinion is that it would mess up the build, losing better stats and stuff. I use both poison and bleeding (geomancy) sigils as i don’t think there are better options. The bleeds from that sigil stack onto other bleed sources and the poison helps a lot. In the past I used to use torment but that was kinda weak on it’s own without other sources from skills etc.

@ardamus – no problem bro and yeah healing power is a big win, helps us when we get ganked or are in outnumbered fights.

People think eles cant play with condi and think we are crap, but that is why i like to prove them wrong, especially the main ones like mesmer, engi and necro.

I grew bored of power builds a year and a half into the game and didn’t like losing to every class and build so I thought “why not make one that can beat them all?” that is what this build is after many trials and errors.

Makes me really happy to see other eles deciding to change and see past their power meta builds.

standard 400 tailor if i remember correctly and it only took me about 2-3 days to get 250 crystals but bear in mind that I’m a lazy git lol

this is worth the farm tbh – i dont think any other condi ele build can compete

making it is quite easy itself. the only thing is getting the ley line crystals from tangled depths. you’ve gotta do quite a bit of pve event farming to get the crystals.

your build looks like its made for 1v1 whereas mine was made for the purpose of playing 1vX and to beat all builds in the game.

that is why i have healing power, water traits and arcana in mine so that i can at least sustain myself during outnumbered fights.

i even tried my build tonight in a 15v15 guild hall scrim and it was quite sick

Is like if people try things out. I do also build diffrent. But my build is F/E/T. The cleansing flame on the toolbar is one important piece. I think that i have more troubles with the condi mesmers than this water/arcane build.

with this build you can beat almost every single build in this game. there is no need for you to camp in one attunement.

you can stack up to 15+ bleeds and 10+ burn stacks with ease PLUS infinite amount of condi removal. this is the pinnacle of all the builds ive made, tested and improved so far.

(most of the time) you can 1vX but obviously that depends on the enemy’s skill level : )))

Okay so I main ranger/druid and sometimes come across a very… well… hurting build in WvW. It’s a burn tempest that (I think) uses either trailblazers, dire, wanderers or rabid gear, or a mix of it, running dagger/focus. I run around with -45% condition duration, sigil of generosity on both weapon sets and a full condi cleanse on celestial avatar but still, I can’t figure out to win against this kind of build. I play a cele beastmastery druid but I can’t build enough pressure to get him down and just have to play so defensively that I can’t go into offense. So my question is – for what attacks do I have to look out, when is a good time to pressure him and how do I play against this build? Thanks in advance.

No… it doesnt. Condi ele camps fire attunement for burns. You don’t swap to earth unless for some reason you need the other utilities it offers.

You do what you want in pve. In wvw it’s different.

You want a human fire elementalist so the best way to achieve that is to use an all-burn build with lots of health instead of toughness for survivability. Play around with it to suit your playstyle, it’s just a template.

1. your allies do get the auras from shouts when using Powerful Aura. So if you have Elemental Shielding on as well they will get the protection from the auras.

What I want to know is who thought this would be a good idea and to authorize it? The previous aura effects we’re pretty cool along with the sound that came with it, but as of now it is pretty boring and in really bad taste.

The appearance of the auras look pretty rushed and unattractive. Bring back the old versions ASAP. I’m 100% sure everyone who plays ele or has fought against one relies on the appearance and sound of the auras as it affects the outcome of a fight.

For example, warriors attempting to kill an elementalist with a rifle; imagine the ele popped it’s Magnetic Aura up, the warrior would have ample time to react to that and cancel whatever rifle skill they were about to use.

Let’s say after this update the warrior wants to fight the ele. The ele uses the aura skill and the rifle uses Killshot. The unsuspecting warrior wont realise it, because they can’t see the aura. Do you understand?

I will let you think about that, ArenaNet.

I play condi tempest with scepter not dagger and its great. Had a good day yesterday eavening. Only one loss out of a half dozend fights. After the first two 1:1 I paired with a cronomancer (guess he was zerker. He used GS) an melted evrything in our path even 2:4. Another team of 2 won the third enounter. Thats OK they learned. The first two they focused me and got slaughtered, the third they cased the crono and won :-).
Don´t target the ele first, he survives to long ^^.
The reason i like condi tempest with scepter is that he can camp earth for a resonable long time, still doing decent damage and its 900 range. Staff does much less and dagger is a bit harder to handle with less defence. But i am tempted to try dagger again , because fire and air is realy strong there.

PS: I am 46 … And i know beyblade XD. There wa a lot of advertising a few years ago …

Never really been a fan of scepter tbh… I don’t like camping in one attunement for a long period of time. I would rather switch through them at a decent pace.

There is no point fighting anything with DS when you are condi. Even if you have carrion armor on ele it is still a struggle to get them below 90% so it’s a waste of time and energy.

So far, this is the pinnacle of all the work I’ve put in on this build since February 2014. My first and sole aim was to have a build that would beat everything. It didn’t work out as well as I hoped at first, but along the way I’ve beaten many classes and builds. Up to this point there are some that I cannot beat, but I’m still happy with what I’ve achieved so far despite the negativity.

I can play Tempest without Diamond Skin. I only use it on Necromancers because their condition output and transfer skills are ridiculous. Every other class is easy, especially Mesmer.

Used to be good but burning got nerfed (both might and possible stacks) and now it’s worse than every other classes.

Even condi guard is better., and then condi mesmer and engi are just leagues above..

You know it is so easy to kill condi engi and mesmer as condi ele… you guys should sort your builds out. Ether Renewal + Cleansing Fire and you’re good to go.
