I’ve got hybrid condi build which I’ve been using for a while now. I can beat any class with it depending on which trait I use. I tend to switch from DS to Written in Stone if the opponent is condi or not. Sometimes I switch out my cantrip for another signet and use the Water #2 trait for vulnerability.

Condition builds are fun for elementalists. You’ll enjoy it a lot.

Gotta teach me how to play D/F sometime. D/D is a tad bit boring now and scepter isn’t really for me

Lol, even I was confused. I thought I got a power up from somewhere but then the necro appeared… I was hoping for a 1v2 in that fight tbh

If I sacrifice the Apothecary for some power stats what would I choose instead of it, Rampager’s or something?

Been playing around with the build a bit more and taking into account what you guys said. I think all the stats look fairly decent without losing any crucial survival skills or traits.

Changes to the build:
• Gone back to 20 in Arcana and 20 in Water.
• Played about with some armor and managed to get the Healing Power to roughly the same amount without having to go 30 in Water.
• Surprisingly enough the Magi stat has a use finally! I’m using it in place of the Assassin stat before for the extra Precision/Healing Power/Vitality.
• Battle and Generosity do not work with each other so I switched out Battle for Bursting. (6% increase in Condition Damage)
• The helm/coat/leggings are now Celestial. Can still keep 40% critical damage and increase the other stats a little bit.

If I always need more Condition Damage I can easily use a stacking weapon.

I was thinking maybe not having Mist Form as my second utility and maybe switching it out for Arcane Shield (and change Renewing Stamina to Arcane Mastery) or Cleansing Fire. What do you guys think? If I took Cleansing Fire that would leave me with no stun-breakers though.

By the end of today I’ll have my last trinket but I’ll still need to work on the Celestial armor which will take a while to make. The next time I post here will be when a video is made. Sorryyyyyyyyy

People actually run fresh air? Tempest defense 0/30/25/10/5 is the best burst spec in game and let’s you instantly delete 1 person from a fight.

It’s such an awesome trait and i’d pick it over Fresh Air any day.

Wanna here the weakness of single target builds for ele? If you cant kill them fast enough you run the risk of getting pressured and killed (thieves ruin every potential build).

I haven’t really had a problem with thieves much. As soon as they get hit with Signet of Fire they run away asap. Burning is a frightening thing. The engis are my bane

The thing is with S/D I really don’t know how to play with it. I’ve always been a D/D person, maybe D/F but the scepter… I just don’t like it lol.

I see what you mean with the Celestial. I was just working with what I had at the time for my armor and didn’t really have any interest in crafting for Celestial so these are the stats I managed to get. But you’re right, Celestial helps a lot.

Everything you’ve said is correct and the sigil thing was kinda new to me, but I wouldn’t know what to replace generosity/battle with.

As for the new traits I’ll be theorycrafting with those when they’re out but for the time being I’m planning on sticking with this. I really want to use Blinding Ashes plus the Rune of Balthazaar buff looks promising.

Hello fellow Elementalists. I decided to post a build here that I made myself because I was growing tired of being dps most of the time in WvW and the target for condition dmg. I thought to myself what if I could beat these guys up with condi too so here I am to show you the build and get some help from you guys.

The main aim of this build was to stay alive, do decent damage and destroy with condition damage. This isn’t your average condition damage build; it’s a hybrid. I was doing a lot of theory-crafting with this and it took a while to choose between Diamond Skin and Written in Stone since I have a decent amount of Healing Power to keep me alive.

Armor/Rune:

Superior Rune of Perplexity

(1): +28 Condition Damage.png Condition Damage
(2): 15% Confusion.png Confusion Duration
(3): +55 Condition Damage.png Condition Damage
(4): 20% chance to cause Confusion.png Confusion on hit (15 second cooldown).
(5): +100 Condition Damage.png Condition Damage
(6): +15% Confusion duration. Causes 10 seconds of Confusion on interrupt (8 second cooldown).

The armor that I use is a mixture of stats. I use Valk/Assassin/Cavalier in that order for the Helm, Shoulders and Coat and for the next three pieces its Valk, Apothecary and Cavalier.

Weapons:

• Sigil of Generosity – 60% chance to transfer a condition to your foe on critical hit.
• Sigil of Torment – 30% chance on critical to trigger AoE torment for 8 seconds.
• Sigil of Battle – Gain 3 stacks of Might (20 seconds) when you swap to this weapon while in combat.

I use 3 daggers (Celestial x2 and Apothecary) with these sigils on them. Reason why I chose Battle and Generosity were because I felt I was slacking on the condition damage I’m receiving and Might helps give it of course. When fighting other condition classes you are spammed with loads of condi so I thought Generosity would help ease that problem. If I were making a full condi build this would be worthless because I wouldn’t be critting as much with this build. Torment was just another ace up my sleeve for fighting classes that weren’t condi heavy and is a nice addition to the condi I have available.

I’m not what you would call a good ele, but I do learn from my fights. Unfortunately, I don’t have a video of me playing with this build at the moment but in a week or two when I get my last ascended trinket I will definitely post it here.

Feel free to give advice and suggestions on changes regarding the build, it will be much appreciated.

Trickster’s armor set looks decent, mainly the vest and leggings. Also, Devout Shoes goes with pretty much everything really and they make you look like a hipster.

If you want the shoes just go to the wvw vendor that sells armor. Trickster’s are on the gem store.

We need more condi eles to make the warriors run away, wait a second…

I like this build but 10 in water scares me Soon when I have all my trinkets and stuff I’ll make a thread about my hybrid build.

Idk about the siege on bodies, I THINK that JDGE started that when we met FSP and started “ramming”(putting ram buildsite on the corpse) a guild called [Lion] that we thought were pricks. It got pretty widely known and we got donated like 500 ram bps, alot of them from AG and FSP aswell haha. After that it has grown I think.

What makes this all the more hilarious is that we’re playing Gandara again next week!

I’m really happy with the match-up. Gandara have many good roamers and seem to run with a lot of thieves :P Before you think I’m complaining I actually like fighting them (So I can crit for 9k with Churning Earth).

Cant say much for FSP since I’m mostly on your home border but you’re fun too!

Shout out to the [TSCC] thief who seems to have a grudge against me and a few others… I seem to make a lot of people dislike me in-game :P
