I wonder what Sylvari taste like. Do you eat them raw like apples or maybe roast them like corn. Are they sweet or spicy? Are they woody like trees? Are they nutty? Does the skin peel off like corn husks? Why don’t people eat them? I wonder if you can ferment their “blood” into alcohol? I think a glass of sylvari whiskey might be tasty. Maybe we could make pancake syrup out of them.

As a person that makes a person designing slot machines, I can only advise the complainers in this thread to never, ever enter a casino.
I always have a good time in this zone. It’s one of my favorite zones.
I’ve always found Chaos Storm to be a nice AOE for Mesmers.
Are you judging all the events on these three? What about the spirit that kicks out the Hyleks, or the Skritt trying to recover their shinies or the skritt king being attacked or the caravan across the zone, or any of the many other events that happen here?
I’ve asked myself the same question that the OP is asking. The only answer I can come up with is that eventually, the ED will use up enough of the existing magic that their hunger cannot be supported and go back into hibernation until magic builds back up to a saturation point that once again awakens the ED from hibernation.
There is a statue of Pyre in the Plains of Ashford and a statue of Jora in the wayfarer foothills.

I found a DE in Queensdale that I hadn’t experienced before. I spoke to an NPC in the swamp that had just found a book. The convo set off a DE involving flesh reavers.
It seems the centaurs are always attack Nebo whenever I’m there.
It would be fun to discover if Grenchies still exist. Would Wintersday still be Grenth vs. Dwayna still? Will the Mad King Thorn make a triumphant return? I like the mention of a real Meatoberfest, the monastery in Queensdale could provide the ale. BTW, could the Queensdale monastery change their brews with the seasons? What holidays do the the Asura, Sylvari and Norn celebrate?
I am also having a horrible experience with this mission. I have decided not to continue on with the personal story.
Today I came across 2 broken DEs that wouldn’t complete. The first one was in Snowden Drifts, in the north eastern corner. 7 of 8 corrupted ice elementals had been killed and the 8th never appeared. In Fields of Ruin, the Ogre War DE had a similar problem.
Removing the notifications is a bad idea. Not all areas in all servers are crowded. Some areas actually have very few people in them. Places like Harathi Hinterlands and Fields of Ruin just aren’t that populated. As this game matures, these areas will become even less crowded. Keep the notifications.
I have the same problem as Darkorical. Flags don’t move. The sparks that supposedly light the way on the wall aren’t there. After 2 hours I had to quit. There is no way I’ll be able to complete my personal story with this character. I’m not even half way through. Something needs to be done.
