I wouldn’t say easy , more time consuming , i have dungeon sets n weapons also
Ok i have 3 lvl 80,s , 100 % map completion , 5 × 400 crafting and nearly 3k achievement points , but it feels like i have done nothing , i dont know why this is . Does anyone else feel the same way ?
Need more cool titles n rewards at least , and being able to see you’re own achievement in game might help
I also play w v w v w and i get the same feeling there too , you cap a tower they cap it back instantly , lack of rewards too

Wow i knew rangers were in bad shape but when a pet ai does more dps than you , then you know youre in big trouble

I de like to ask a question how you thought designing your combat around utility choices instead of weapon skills choices was a good idea , most of the utility skills and elite skills are very poor with only a few viable choices for each class . Even tho there are many utility choices however , wouldn’t it have made the game more enjoyable having more weapon choice skills and being able to customize 1-5 also ?
A response would be interesting , and news on changes greatly appreciated

Well there is no defining roles in this game , your dps and kite n dodge , self survival utilities , it gets old fast , lack of depth and no defining roles is just not fun

its a different game and they’ve tried to not make it exactly like gw1 for obvious reasons while trying to stay true to its roots. if you dig through some of the posts here you’ll see some of the dev’s comments about the game (some of it was posted before the game was released and isn’t here anymore, but nonetheless… there should be enough still around). also missing faction, but I’m sure nobody’s crying about that

I did read mike o briens answer , he said something about they dident want to copy gw1 , but totally dismissing what built your fan base up is a tad bold

@ RUKIA spot on ! Gets boring fast with only 5 weapon skills and no choices , ranger is worst traits by miles , theyre just a mess
Well this game is nothing like gw1 op , the build/skill choice was totally different also the mechanics , Each weapon had lots of skills to choose from , made it feel and play fresh as they changed n tweaked skill regularly especially in GVG/HOH also that isent implemented yet either
There is no " Legendary " Armor , just saying
There is not enough options in traits most are utterly useless , hence cookie cutter everyone has the same build , skills syndrome . Which is totally boring , also lack of weapon skills to change is also a turn off ..

Pretty much nailed it , Also there is no end game crafting only grinding for the forge , which is a shame as the crafting system isent bad until endgame ….

I run a business and pay people to do repetitive tasks… why would i do that for fun?The game was advertised as open world and event driven. That was awesome and really fun. But nobody does any of that anymore because of “anti-farming”

The crafting in this game is pretty good in general untill end game , We need lots of crafting recipes , either earned from world boss,es or from dungeon , end chests . Its a good material sink and would add a lot to both dungeons and crafting . I think adding the dungeon loot already in game tokens as recipes would be a great step in the right direction ….

I don’t mind Southsun. Something about how desolate it is, the color scheme, and the karka, make it seem alien and forlorn. It’s peaceful, yet a little bit sad and eerie as well.
I usually go there, kill twenty-thirty karka and the wind surfer thingies (the jellyfish, don’t remember what they’re called) to get some potent bloods and potent venom sacs. Mozy on over to the nest, chop down an ancient tree or two along the way, mine a few mithril. Make my way up the ramp, mine the rich orichalcum vein, and then warp on out of there.
Usually takes about half an hour, and I get a decent amount of silver out of it, so its worthwhile IMO. Much more enjoyable scenery than forging through Orr.
I hope they do add some more content to that area though. It could use some events or a few more types of karka to spruce it up.
The wind surfer dudes are called breeze riders lol

I have to agree sadly , i am currently playing new characters the story and hearts and map completion is whats keeps me playing , the dungeons feel like you have to exploit to even complete them they are definatly not fun , nearly every boss consists of range/kite tactic or get face planted , add the fact they have 10 million hp . The dungeons in gw1 was superb i dont know whats happened
Story modes need addressing to give appropriate nice loot and materials , there is a reason people dont do them
All dungeons explorable should be lvl 80 , theyre just way too hard for the levels set to complete or find a group
What is the general census on crafting ?
I personally think its well done until endgame , I wish there would have been rare craft able items recipes you can get from dungeons or open world exploring . The corrupted recipes are nice we need a lot more stuff like that in future to keep crafters happy . I dont like the mystic forge at all i would have sooner gave those recipes to crafters to learn n make …

So my m8 told me ranger,s traits were a mess so i decided to roll one and go spvp . Wow now i fully understand all the QQ i feel bad for rangers i quickly deleted and re-rolled thief
I would like hammers to be about 20% larger in general they are way too small in my opinion
A nice tip i do is ill either craft a level or clear the zone , i am always keeping up with my story this way
Just wondering if there will be some class balancing on the 14th , its the most frustrating part of the game besides bugs for me ?
Very good read OP i have to say i agree will all of it , I was also a gw1 pvp player and the difference between the 2 games is like chalk n cheese . But its still early im pretty sure most if not all of your concerns will be implemented at some point . I will keep playing n hoping sooner rather than later

The loot tables and loot in general is in a very bad state atm , turning a lot of players not to even play the game , Yet there is still no reply from arena net …
This works fine example gain + 25 stacks of bloodlust then swap to a + 5% boost
thats + 250 power + 5 % damage
I see so many players asking for story mode and not being able to get a group ….
How about these ideas
Story mode repeatable @ the set levels with a guaranteed rare level drop + tokens for finishing them
All explorable modes made just for level 80,s only with also a guaranteed Exotic drop after completing a path + tokens
This would make lots of people run story modes and explorables

I love Malchor’s leap. It’s my favorite orr map and this is where I play when I’m alone.
You probably just need better organization. Everything in GW2 can be done with a party of 5 or lower.
