Groups are only 5 people. And they’d have to have a reason to group with you other than to just talk.

Maybe I wasn’t clear. I understand that there are reasons why I can’t access guild panels. The point is that I find the experience very lonely and isolated when I cannot talk to my friends (who don’t all have beta access, by the way).

I believe it’s in my right to express my regret over this.

I suppose those are some things I can look into.

Still though, it was quite a shock and it REALLY bummed me out.

Maybe I’ll make another attempt tomorrow.

I’m sorry Anet, but I don’t think I’ll be testing your Revenant this weekend.

The fun part about GW2 is being able to communicate with friends, and the lack of a guild panel means I cannot join guild chat. If I want to share my wonder at the awesome Revenant I’d have to jump back to my regular characters first. I don’t want that.

No but seriously, what do I do after I collect all of the things? O_o I’m confused. I thought there’d be some kind of clue about the future of the living story but all I see is a video and wallpapers of next week’s patch.

Can’t you just get all your guild into the overflow then? what does it even matter WHERE you do the stuff?

Okay so here’s what happened. I was just done with some Heirloom hunting, and wanted to do a daily activity.

Which… stopped loading…

After I force-quit the game, I tried to restart the client. It will not. I mean, the client icon appears on the Dock, but I get nothing. Not a single window.

If there’s someone here who knows their stuff, please help.

So.. Are these all over the place or do I have to run all over the world to find one?

I don’t even understand. All you have to do for the living story is pop into EtoM, talk to a guy, and get back out.

Actually I think her actions are purely selfish. Either she is being controlled by a force or rebelling aginst said force. I don’t think she’s that interested in saving the world.

I think the most important part is the “Gain WXP and work on achievements” bit.

Ok, lets assume the Marionette is meant for a large scale attack.

To use the Marionette to conquer Lion’s Arch would be overkill.

I find some people in this topic hilarious tbh. Especially the ones who say they “haven’t tested their content properly”, or that “the content is broken”.

How can people even tell that the content is broken when they haven’t even gotten a chance to LOOK at the content yet?

The problem isn’t with the content, and before you go in that direction, the problem isn’t the server either. To account for the thing that broke everything you’d need a server of godlike specs. No I mean literally godlike.

The only actual mistake Anet (as well as many other online game developers) made is creating these bottlenecks where thousands of people are trying to access the same content at the same time.

Won’t giving the world an exact ETA of when the map will be back just invite the same thing to happen all over again?

Okay here’s the deal. You know how when EotM went live, thousands of players tried to access it all at once? That kind of broke it.

Support ticket is meaningless. They already know exactly what the problem is and why it happened.

This is not really a bug, but more a technical issue.
What happened is that they made some storylines before you should enter to spread out the workload, but for some reason they decided to plan 2 hours maintanance. Resulting in everyone standing ready to enter and spamming ‘F’ at the portal. When the map opened up this resulted in a denial of service. the way to solve this is for everyone to leave and log in one after another. Cause thats not going to happen I would advise to let the map alone for atleast 24 hours so things can calm down.

Exactly what is the problem you are describing? I’m not quite sure I understand what you are trying to say.

I know it’s not my fault, you know it’s not your fault, so I don’t think there’s any harm done. But I’ll concede this is a YMMV thing.

The “check your internet connection thing” is just a standard message your client puts out when it cannot access the server for some reason.

Yup, is happening to everyone. Anet “is aware of the issue and are working on a fix”.

It’s not the same though. Simulation never accounts for real life.

You can’t really “test” thousands of players accessing the very same thing at the exact same time, without actually having thousands of players accessing the very same thing at the exact same time.

You’re saying this problem resolves itself if I wait a while? You absolutely sure?

Note that this cannot be a TGUpdate related thing. I ended up installing that one manually (which solved quite a few of the other problems I’ve been having).

Exaggeration much? Just because the TP is down doesn’t mean that you “cannot play the game anymore”. Quit being such a drama queen.

Then how, pray tell, am I going to empty my inventory so I can run dungeons? I mean it’s not “unplayable”, I can still do stuff that doesn’t give loot.

And don’t say sell to vendor.

Do something other than running dungeons.

Salvage some of those items.
Sell to vendor (trolololol).
Use your bank/guild bank to store some of them.
Transfer some of them to an alt.
Go outside for a while. If the weather is bad, go watch a movie or go to the gym or do some other indoor activity.

I already salvaged them. It’s the stupid runes that are clogging up my inventory. I don’t have a very large bank either, but I suppose some other people might so it’s not a BAD piece of advice.

That last bit actually is some solid advice. Didn’t think anyone here would think like that though.

I’ve never been in an Overflow that lost just due to numbers.

Yesterday was the first time ever I left my Overflow for a different one.

Normally I don’t leave, even if things are going badly, but this time…

There was a guy basically telling everyone to fail and it was really affecting my mood badly. I asked the guy why he was even there and he said he was there to “farm” (farm what exactly?). So basically he messes up everyone’s game just so he can do his “farming”.

So I joined a different overflow and we got 3/5, still not very good but I was content because I got more drops than that “farming” guy.

I myself have also defeated it in Overflow once.

Why would Scarlet interrupt WvW???

There’s probably a PvE version of it.

And also “Now PvE players are joining WvW”, it’s not like there’s much difference between the two to begin with. And yes, I have played both.

Oh my god, there is a single encounter I cannot beat. This game sucks now.

I can’t even believe that people are saying “They’re inserting a horrible character into awesome content just to spite us.”

Riiight…. That makes so much more sense than Scarlet traversing the Mists for whatever it is she’s lookinging for so she can turn the world inside out and change fate.

Unlike the people who always feel like running to the forums and complain about every little bit, the people who actually like the content are too busy playing the actual game.

I won’t say you guys’ arguments are completely invalid (well some of them are but most certainly not all), but plenty of people who like the content exist, and you really need to stop acting like they don’t. I absolutely loved the Tower of Nightmares and its raid dungeon-like feel.

That said, I hope they throw every splintergroup a bone every once in a while. They don’t need to stop Living Story, they just need to cater to the different splintergroups in turn.

Just accept the fact already that there ARE players who like Scarlet and that they are NOT, in fact, crazy. Every time you say “All the playerbase hates her” you are speaking for people you don’t even know. Stop it.

No one realises that if any “expansion” contains any content at all that could just be released through Living World updates, it would be a major cop-out?

I just came here to tell people to stop talking down on people who like easy content.

So me and my guild were fighting the Claw of Jormag, we got him down to 50% health and he went into phase two… And then the golems that we’re supposed to protect never showed up. What gives?

Anyone tell me if this is a random bug or a recurring one that happens every time?

As much as I like to defend developers for having a very hard job… I really wonder how this one even made it through the beta phase.

I mean I won’t sling words like ‘garbage’ around like some people, but I’d appreciate it if you guys would acknowledge the fail.

On that note, I assume the problem hasn’t been fixed yet.

I still say it’s a pretty game breaking bug. I hope it is fixed soon.

I saw the error messages several times yesterday and it prevented me from talking in guild chats or whispers.

Today I can talk in guild chat, and can send whispers, but now I can’t switch guilds anymore, what gives?
