Tangled Roots Meta event is way too hard

check out this diva

If you don’t think it’s broke, then you obviously have not even tried to complete it, or you’ve never ran Nuhoch lane

the bosses aren’t even the issue, it’s the mechanics that aren’t balanced….the spawn rate on spores is atrocious and you can’t get into bonus rounds

Then how come me and the guys usually fail because of DPS issues rather than spores?

Is this a game or a social experiment?

I would like to think this game doesn’t fall into that category. :\ You pay for it only once, and there’s nothing you can do with money to give yourself an edge over other players.

Wanderer is very elusive. There are people who sell them on tp, but no clue where to get them. I know the inscription/insignia recipes can be bought from the Nuhoch vendor, but the recipes for the actual equipment… Anyone’s guess.

You don’t get character XP in WvW.

That was true for old maps, where waypoints were relatively nearby. Here, the closest unlocked waypoint may as well be at the very beginning of the map.

So you ruin the event for everyone else by scaling up the event while not contributing anything… Because you’re too lazy?

There are various ways to get into the subterranean river. There’s an hole north of the Dragon’s Path waypoint (don’t remember the exact name), and another to the northeast of the SCAR outpost waypoint. You can also dive into the water in Rata Novus.

No. I’ll answer you with the similar proposal: If you want easier content, go play in any other region. Finally player needs to pay attention and can’t faceroll everything. And this is coming from a casual player with limited time, you mentioned.

Can we PLEASE stop saying this? It’s really grinding my gears. You’re giving us people who like the new content a VERY bad name by saying exclusionary elitist bullkitten like this. Everyone is allowed in the new areas. They just need to get better at the game.

Anyway @ Original Poster:

A lot of the things you say are very subjective, and the majority of people disagree with you. You just don’t see them here because they’re too busy playing the actual game.

Also getting a group for hero points isn’t hard.

Re: Dead content: It’s not as bad as you think, you just gotta know how to find it. Have you tried organizing it with a guild? If that’s not an option, have you tried LFG?

The “Dead Horse” being flogged is giving any credence to old Dev statements re what will not be in game.

When mounts come, not IF, a good number of those going purple with rage at the mention of mounts will be enthusiastically grinding for them or buying gem cards.

Why are you so obsessed with mounts that you delude yourself into thinking it’s inevitable? What do mounts even add to a game where you can warp around at will?

Just because they think it doesn’t make it true. All they need to do is step up their game a little. This is something anyone can do, not just hardcore people. It requires no investment, just skill.

The bigger problem is when they start saying stuff like “But this champion keeps killing me no matter how much I try.”. That stuf isn’t meant to be solo’d but they stubbornly keep trying. When all you need to do is type “/map” and ask for help.

I mean, sure, I’ll acknowledge that he’s not Forgal, but please, the guy never actually did anything wrong and the haters are just enticing eachother to keep hating without looking at the facts.

Well, the economy is kind of unstable. The introduction of new materials as well as new things to craft (using both old AND new materials) increases demand for everything. Once the hardcore players have what they need, I expect the prices to drop a fair bit. Although I’m not sure how far they’ll drop.

Given all the hate going around the forums I just wanted to say. I love the expansion.

The story is short, and it ended very suddenly, but the presentation was awesome. I love that final battle, especially the cameo near the end of the fight. There seem to be some bugs though, I hope those will be fixed.

I love the new maps. Yeah it’s a bit more difficult, but it gave me a chance to step up my game and try new tactics. I also feel less kitten because I never loved the Zerker playstyle. Being a Soldier (soon to be Wanderer) feels more rewarding now.

I love the guild hall. It’s absolutely massive and has a lot of customization potential. However, the Guild Upgrade UI does not work for me as a mac user. I hope this will be addressed as well.

I’ve been bashing my head against the Tangled Depths boss event for days now. I can’t wait until I finally manage to beat it.

I haven’t tried the new fractals yet, but it will likely be the place where I gain most of my exp to level up my Legendary Journey masteries. On that note, thanks for giving me an alternate method to obtain a legendary weapon that doesn’t involve grinding for gold.

Speaking of exp, even more than in vanilla, there’s so many activities I can do that give me exp. I love the fact that gaining exp does not feel like a grind.

Keep up the good work. Not all of us hate you. In fact, most of my peers are too busy playing the actual game than to spend time humoring all the complainers.

I used to constantly hover below 10-20g, now I can actually build up to 30g, spend it, and build up to 30g again. Doing the same things I always did.

Question, any of you dungeon farmers, have you EVER tried doing fractals?

You people have strange logic.
