If their reasoning was to keep people from getting all the stuff or running out of things to do in the end game… they probably should have made more end game…. just a thought….
Ill say it again, when Rift first came out people said it had no endgame………..it hasnt been that long and look at Rift now. in other words shut up stop complaining guild wars 2 will be fine.
when you see a flag and think WAR BANNER.
3 THINGS: one when rift first came out, they said the same thing about its endgame and look now they have an expansion and a compelling looking game.
two : free content alot of the zones not added in tyria at release
Three: Expansion wise in this order Jormag/kaL, Cantha and Elona!!!!!!
I vote arena net start the practice of hot fixing minor issues left over from patches like blizzard does at times. I mean after all it would greatly please the player base and help smooth out the game faster
back in BC i remeber when you hadto talk to people in your dungeon party. now with random dungeons i swear i never said a word i just came for loot and points the players in my group were are que away from being replaced
this is strange, i did an event chain back to back to back and i got normal karma levels
As some one stated yesterday armor type is a form of TAXONOMY and ACHETYPE not a balance trinity.
yeah, from what complaints ive seen them respond to ive heard that on the 8th maybe some champions are having there hp reduced and i heard tomorrow there will be bug fixes and hopefully something to do with the new DR system.
i play an elementalist lol so i just use Whirpool and kill all mobs with my 54k dmg >:)
ive seen several Dev statements on these forums reffering to there being a patch tomorrow and one on the 8th. does any one happen to have any idea as to what they might be adressing with these patches?
holiday events and mini games prolly new random skins
im one of those people who are bouncing from all the high level zones to mid level zones, so im not really effected by the Dr at all. Infact while i was in Orr i got a string of greens in rares and blues and i was in the zone killing non stop for an hour so idk why people are complaining.
if you only have time to play for 30 minutes a day perhaps you should consider playing anything other than an mmo…
What are some others thoughts on ideas like this, what would other players like to see arena net do next ?
This thread is a simple tossing out of ideas for arent net starting with.
1st: woodland cascades and the ring of fire and maybe the far shiverpeaks should be released next, AS HIGH LEVEL ZONES FOR 80s So high level pve players have more "End game content( unless of course there another expansions content.)
2nd: the return of the ritualist and the paragon<never played Gw1 but my freind did. and they looked coolest to me
3rd: mounts some time in the future to ease peoples way point woes.
4th: vanity pets and arcade style minigames.
And lastly: character features/hair change option, seasonal holidays and cheap cash shop in game skins and lets for example luxury items like instant fast travel to a specefic location, portal devices that can be used once an hour or so…. or something like that.
as for what i have to say to the player base, be patient Guild wars 2 is a work in progress like all mmos that came before it. Arena net needs your ideas and your support to build the best game this can be, on that note Bugs DO NOT last for ever they will be fixed so relax and "End game " content will be released with time so theat even a new player could find them self investing hundreds of hours in the game from start to finish.
in cataclysm i did more grinding dalies and raids than ever in wow, in wotlk i ran the same dungeons 315 times total for the hilt of queal delar which i NEVER got. and then i had to grind pve trinkets and pvp honor gear so i could grind Conquest points to grind arena/rbg rating then i quit wow and all other mmos…….GW2 is my liberation your comparisons are based on looking at base qualites and concepts and then earisng the unique quialites of each which then makes both seem the same. but i can assure you they are vastly different and guild wars 2 is the least grindy mmo i have played to date.
i got to 80 in a week……..it does not need to be easier.
This a repost of a thread made by “SamtheGuardian” i find this to be a valid concern and should be considered, this is NOT a troll post.
“While I don’t share all of the negative feelings that some max level players have been expressing regarding lack of endgame, my hope is that ArenaNet will not ignore these type of post. Yes, they’ve sold over 2-million copies. Yes, their composite metacritic score is > 90. Yes, their hype machine has probably left them all feeling as if they have created the greatest game ever made.
One small problem: they haven’t. Not yet. It’s the continued support of the community that will keep the game fresh. Players who cap and finish everything (and yes, many have finished all hearts and all PS chapters, all dungeons story mode). They need a reason to keep playing. They need a reason to sign-in and not be bored. Right now, regardless of how much you may love the design of GW2 the truth is there just isn’t much other than “it’s fun I’m going to play for fun”.
By design (and what has become of the design, post launch through nerfs) it’s lost something. We still have a lot of bugged dynamic events. We have this issue of server populations now being spread out and a lot of events in zones can’t be tackled because not enough players are around, we have personal story chapters that are still bugged. We have few incentives to play personal story chapters with others so we end up replaying events (boring for most of them, honestly- hard truth guys) or crafting or trying dungeons, but post dungeon nerf that’s no longer endgame content either.
We have a situation where the game developer has metrics to go by that could give them a very false impression of what the game has really become in the last week. If they form a opinion that these complaints are just coming from a few and that the masses are very happy the game could go the way of SWTOR faster than SWTOR went down hill.
The reason the good MMOs fail is because they loose players between major content updates. When you have a lot of players finishing everything (or finishing enough to stratify them) within a few weeks and they aren’t coming back often that’s the beginning of the end. Kid gloves off, we’re definately seeing that now with this game
I have 10-12 level 80’s in one guild I’m in, perhaps 3 of them have been playing regularly in the past four days. In another we have almost 20 level 80’s and 5-6 are signing in and offering to do dungeons, etc with others. The post level cap reward system needs major retooling that extends to WvW and Dungeons. Just very disappointed.
I thought perhaps joining another group of friends who are just getting into the game on a different server would be good but that server is full and guesting isn’t in yet. So that’s another problem.
The game is a real mess, but the critics have overlooked a lot of that. Not a healthy place to be at. It’s a place where the game developer could easily ignore all the real problems and choose to believe they’ve done a fantastic job and people need to pipe down”.
i played wow for 4 years. i find that outside of the wpvp/ bgs/arenas<sometimes that all i would do is grind dungeons and grind raids and grind dailies which was boring as hell. as for bgs i only found those entertaining because as a pvper all i need is to wreck people to have fun but if i ever put the game down id be behind in gear and forced to grind more. so im subjectivley saying that this game in comparison is not a grind at all.
do map completions i completed the 70-80 zones and got half a set of 80-exotics/some rares.
WOOT, i support this game idea.
i agree adding universal tokens is the way to go, who cares if you run ONE dungeon all day?. thats how you choose to play the game then so be it.
