I’m working on getting the Beigarth’s Claymore and wanted to double check that’s my best bet for a more generalized greatsword to cross between dungeon (mostly fractals) and wvw for mostly dps.

I was thinking of leveling up weaponsmith from 400 to grab the ascended greatsword for mostly wvw and a little pve.

I mostly go for a dps build with a little tanky-ness and not much into ranged attacks. I also just spent 300g on a skin so it would be immediately changed to that skin so I would only get it (ascended greatsword) for stats.. I’m trying to figure out if it’s even worth it.

With that said I do have plenty of mats so it wouldn’t be a huge expensive or effort..

Which one would you get and why?

I’ve also noticed that a greatsword for 40g has reasonable stats so I was thinking of doing that instead…

I’m wanting to level Artificer.

1. Should I do it on an alt that I’m leveling or on my main? My only concern is legendaries require skill points for certain items. As they’re stupidly not account bound, I have to worry about that aspect.

2. I hear they’re resetting discoveries which makes me think I should level today??

I just wanted to confirm that by farming the current living world event for boxes – the new higher level mats will come from them on Tuesday?

I opened all of them like probably at least 300 Deluxe Gear Boxes alone so this will be a big blow if I could have received higher mats by just waiting a few days..

You need to complete Scarlet’s Playhouse to get back into the pavilion. Talk to Vorpp, have him open the portal, go in and do the dungeon.

Its soloable, even though it says it recommends a full group.

You need to have purchased every unique cultural armor item once. That means you need one character of every race (but not every armor type, as the race can purchase all three armor types, but can only equip the correct type.

I’m a bit confused about unique items in order to get the title. Does that mean I need five unique toons ie different professions: norn, human, etc?

I’ve been dishonorable according to the message I received when trying to join a match. Funny it doesn’t say in the message how long I need to wait…

Anyhow, there needs to be a cancel match button or some way to get out of it.

I tried to get out of it as something came up where I wasn’t able to play but guess what? I had no way of doing so.

Not only that but an entire game was screwed up for the other players which I think is a bigger problem than me not being able to play for however many hours.

Please fix this unless I’m missing some way of getting out of it!

If you haven’t noticed already more and more people are recording video for GW2 every day, it’s simple and much better than trying to explain in a blog.

What I would LOVE is for Arenanet to allow custom profiles.

Every single time I record, I have to tweak my settings so the graphics are still good (medium) but aren’t Best Performance where it looks horrid or Auto-Detect which turns everything on max.

If you’ve ever used high end recording software, it uses a ton of processing power – even with a good (overclocked) graphics card. I’m still forced to turn some settings down.

Profiles would fix this so it’s a simple switch, with an assignable shortcut key that I could assign to my gaming keyboard too.

It wouldn’t be hard to implement and it’d be highly useful not just for recording but WVW where some people with laptops (and older systems) are forced to turn down settings every time.

Just an idea

You might want to add a comment extension such as Disqus which is commonly used so people can leave feedback. It also helps with SEO a lot plus it can turn into monetary gain if you choose that option.

Leveling a thief in WvW isn’t exactly easy. We are very squishy and we doesn’t really shine before lvl 60. Roaming with bigger groups or the zerg may be the key, and just spam AoE from the short bow to tag as many targets as possible.

If you’re planning to run solo, then it will be hard, but it is doable. You can solo supply camps (not upgraded) and sentries pretty easy from low levels, but for that you’ll need dagger storm, shadow refuge, smoke screen and signet of malice. Those abilities can lay waste to a supply camp in seconds

If you plan on zerging then short bow is the perfect weapon! Try to go for 15 points in deadly arts asap and then dig deep in critical strikes. A good build for zerging could be 25/30/0/0/15. Some boons, lots of initiative and a ton of damage. You should use cluster bomb on Ann combo fields, always ^^

I only run in zergs, it’s actually extremely fast verse PVE so far. I can easily level in about 40 minutes without any boosts.

I’m leveling my thief in WVW, at level 26 now.. I was wondering if someone could suggest a build specific to leveling + wvw. All I see are leveling builds for sPVP, PVE or WVW builds that are only for level 80 so suggestions would be awesome!

I decided to use a short bow a lot for aoe + survivability so that’s something to keep in mind with the build.

Just to let you know – Rain Man could do tier1.
Big problem is tier4, which in most cases is for solo zerker builds ( and this is exactly how I did it on my guardian; we tried doing it in team and failed )

I have a few thousand Badges of Honor and am thinking I can start spending some on gear instead of saving for a legendary (twilight).

Correct me if I’m wrong but the max that can be used towards the Twilight is 500 Badges of Honor…

Is there anything else I should use Badges of Honor for that I should be aware of before I start buying lots of WVW gear for my toons?

The achievement chests are really great because now I have 50% of each set for the paid pvp tournaments ie Koda. What I don’t like is that I can’t pick what I get similar to when receiving rewards for other events.

At least if the gear could be salvaged for guaranteed tokens then it wouldn’t be a big deal. That way it could be used on another toon or for a different item from paid tournaments.

idk I just want that Koda set so bad but I’m really reluctant to play pugs with this game.

I have 3/6 parts for Koda and Inquest which I believe I received through the achievement chests… the deal is I REALLY want the entire Koda set. I would do anything for it even if that means killing 2,000+ more people lol

I’ve salvaged over 30 pvp chests so far with no luck on getting a tournament token. According to the official wiki, thats how you can get them.

Am I just having bad luck or is that not a viable option anymore for those specific tokens? I just don’t want to waste anymore..

The ascended rings? I’ve only got up to 10 on FOTM but have yet to get any drops like that…
