Completely agreed with this suggestion.

The chances are pretty high that they’ll add new weapons and allow professions to use more weapons instead of adding new professions.
Why add a Druid when you can give a Ranger a staff?

For those that say ‘Oh well you’d just run past dynamic events’, that’s completely incorrect, we run towards dynamic events and sometimes miss 1/4 or more of it due to slow movement speed, with a mount we’d just be doing the things we normally do but faster.
I want mounts, I mean, once you’ve tried exploring the places like Cursed Shore, Maclhor’s Leap and the Straits of Devastation, it’s truly the most annoying thing I’ve ever experienced.
Mounts are fun to collect and show off with to, it also gives your character individuality.

Woot, I got it! Worth 18 gold, the only thing is, I hardly use this character (even though he’s level 80), but I could sell it and spend the money on gear for my main.

Clearly you have a gift. Imagine not only avoiding all the places where players get stuck, all the places that cause your camera to go crazy, but also knowing that you have to jump down at the end of the beam, knowing that you need to wait for the clock to turn twice, knowing that you must pick the right side when the path splits…

You’re either incredibly lucky, have paranormal powers, or your pants are on fire.

I won’t say which one of those I find more likely, but I do note that the Clock Tower has been out for a couple of days and you say that you “have just finished it on the first try”. I guess you didn’t play at all during the weekend. Maybe you were using your powers for the good of mankind.

Either way, I don’t think your experience can be extrapolated to the majority of players. Most people do find it easier to play when their own character (and their intended path) isn’t buried under a mob of characters that are 4 times their size.

I meant I done it first try after doing it a few times before, but I logged on and tried it and done it first go.

It’s really not that hard, I done it first try, easy as can be once you know how.
Take shortcuts, be the fastest, get out of their way a little, and don’t pay attention to them. If you’re ahead then they can’t get in the way…

This is hopeless, I’ve been spending tons of time trying to get the right amount of karma (42 thousand), so I can get some nice Armageddon gear. I tried it yesterday, and it was bugged, so I tried it again today and it was still bugged.
The Pact crew got all the way into the Temple, just looked like they were about to smash the place up and take it, but then they all get in some flying transport vehicle and restart the entire event as if we failed?
Wow, that’s pretty annoying.

Okay, I’m getting tired of this constant whining, I’m a Human elementalist and just finished the Clock Tower first try, there was Norn and Charr all over the place, but I still did it. It’s really not that hard, it’s pretty easy once you know how to do it.
If I’d of lost, I wouldn’t of went ‘Wahhh wahhh, ban the Charr and Norn they get in the way!’, that’s just an excuse for noobs to cover up for their inability.
If you’re a Charr or a Norn and getting fed up of it, don’t be their scapegoat or excuse, they’re using you!

The description is in the name, ‘Attend the Party’, you need to attend the ending party on the 31st of October, where? Well, I guess we’ll find out closer to the day.

I think they should put up a builing site there so it looks like people are building a new statue. and then when christmas caomes and a new special event there will be some way to recreate the statue. that would be awesome.

I’m on my way to getting the Emissary of the Mad King title, just need to attend the party on the 31st. I’m wondering though, how many of you out there will have the title too?

I think they should rebuild the original statue but give it a Mad King touch to it, maybe cover it in eggs and toilet paper?

Got to say I’ve enjoyed 99.9% of it all, only need one more achievement ‘Attend the Party’ for the Mad King title, gonna be great!

Since the Lion’s Arch statue is decaying and crumbling away, I definitely think that it will fall apart and we will :
A : Repair it.
B : Destroy whatever caused it.
C : Go through a portal where it was destroyed.

I understand that the one-time-event tomorrow will take place at 19:00 PM, which is normally 7:00 PM for the UK, but, the clocks are being pushed back one hour here thus making it 6:00 PM, will it still be 7:00 PM in-game?

What’s all this about acts? On here : https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Update-Notes-October-22-2012, it says “From October 22 through November 1, Tyria is under the shadow of the Mad King. The weeklong event will unfold in four acts, each introducing new content to explore and experience.”, can someone expand on this?
Do I need to finish these acts for any achievements, and if I don’t will I not get the Emissary of the Mad King title?

Bump the graphics up, otherwise the gear is bland and dull.

No, this is stupid. Like Zbrlesbr said above me, this is a mix of a rifle engineer with a rifle warrior in its glass cannon build.
They won’t bring in new professions, they’ll just give classes new weapons, give the Ranger a staff to make it more supportive and a bit like a Druid, for example.

It does my head in sometimes, you can hear people talking and shouting from really far away just because they’re part of the map event…

This is pretty annoying, the lack of titles is haunting.
If you’re a major title collector like me, you know how shameful this is. I remember spending ages collecting titles in WoW, and it was great, yes, I said WoW, don’t hate me.

But, let’s take a look at the places where titles are missing.

Slayer achievements, all those hundreds of kills on certain enemies, and no title to go along with ANY of them? Troll slayer title should give you the title ‘Troll Slayer’.

The Hero achievements, this is possibly the worst part, there’s SO many different achievements in there, such as the survivor one for getting experience without dying, and not even a Survivor title, really?

Explorer achievements? Not one title.

The Weapon Master achievements, this one is just silly. I’m on 1500 kills with a greatsword and there’s no title like ‘Greatsword Master’, or any ‘Weapon Master’s…

Agreed, the lack of titles is a real shame.

Not sure why people have stopped suggesting this, maybe because they got fed up and realized ArenaNet can’t be bothered?
But, anyway, duels are good fun, it’s nice to duel against friends and others and can make for friendship building. I remember in WoW, there’d be loads of people outside major cities like Orgrimmar and in Goldshire dueling, it was a time-kill and just general fun.

• Largos and tengu will become playable, their starting areas in the Sea of Sorrows. If these races’ story takes place post Zhaitan’s death then the DSD’s minions will become known.

Tengu as far as I’m concerned have a 99.9% chance of being the next playable race, they constantly hint at choosing sides and being neutral, they have walls stopping you getting to their places (they could easily open them up), a bit like the Worgen gate from WoW.

Race change too please.
I know you can say ‘It will mess up the personal story, and OMG!’. But no, there’s ways around it, either they make you play out the personal story with your new race again, which I doubt will happen. Or, they give you the options and explain what happens without you playing it and you pick what you want, so it’s all down on paper but you don’t do it, it will be much quicker and easier.
They’re missing out on a lot of money if they don’t implement race changes/appearance changes if you ask me…

New classes won’t be coming.
This it how it will work…
Professions get to use new weapons, the Ranger gets a staff to be a bit like a Druid, the Guardian and Warrior will get to use spears, the Thief will get hand weapons like claws, the Mesmer will get scythes to be like the Dervish.
So they just get new weapons to BE like other classes without being them.
Adding new classes will unbalance the game.

The Tengu will, as far as I can see, be the next playable race available to play.
Why? Well, there’s many reasons.

> There’s a large wall in LA, blocking you from getting to their homeland.
> They constantly hint about choosing if they’re good or bad.
> They would work well in character creation, fur colour, beak, etc.
> They are well-known with GW1 and GW2 players.
> ArenaNet have said they are releasing new races in the future.

Insert Tengu here, they have a huge wall in Lion’s Arch that you can’t get to and they hint at choosing sides in the future, in the next expansion new lands will open up like the Crystal Desert, there’s tons of land not open yet, and the Tengu will come with the expansions.

I think if we did get a race change, we’d just have to pick the new character biography questions and such, and then you’ll have to replay all the personal story but through the new race’s options. I don’t think it’s a problem, I really need to get a race change on some of my characters.
