People are not just playing matches to appear on the leaderboards, they play what they like and now they have a good chance to appear on leaderboards also so what’s the harm in it? If super hardcore pro people have problems that they cannot stay on the leaderboards without playing much or cannot get the limelight anymore, they should try their luck in ESL or other big events to show how good they are. Gw2 leaderboards is FOR EVERY gw2 player, it’s for every skill-level player NOT just for those who after getting a rank, stops playing so they can stay on the leaderboards forever. Also, we don’t have 1 v 1 modes yet so you cannot decide on a technical skill-based leaderboard for players, old leaderboards were showing how good their teams were tbh and was based on plain win or loose, now we have several factors which contribute to your points (not just how much time you spend in pvp). Current leaderboard is for Active PvP player base, makes it fair for all and it’s much more rewarding in my opinion.
(edited by Diva.1476)
Is it only for EU people?? How come NA people can’t participate in this official event? Or I didn’t understand it correctly?
See developers, I told ya if you made losing less harsh people wouldn’t get so angry anymore.
All yall need to start listening to the ‘right’ people.
You know how the community says ‘pvp population is tiny’, well the old leaderboards with that tiny pvp population, some people that did play a lot of games, struggled to be on the leaderboards due to old leaderboard being full of garbage, people win 2 games and sit on leaderboard no more.
I like this leaderboard because its more active and good result. Tired of pug accounts hogging up space. Makes it so you have to focus on one account and not somebody trying to make anet look bad by getting all 10 of his accounts on leaderboard and than have 9 of them go inactive just to stall players.
This new leaderboard really gets the ‘tiny pvp population’ on the leaderboards and ranks people in a good manner as well.
Yeah and the best part is, you have to keep earning points which gets you going and actively play matches to stay in the leaderboards, slackers will now be thrown out quick
just…..lol……
what’s up? May I know what’s so funny about this post huh?
I’m soooo glad to see my name on leaderboards now (rank floating between 250-400), thanks to the reset!! earlier it seemed absolutely impossible to get under 500 unless you have a very good and organized team to play with. Now I’m sure with these recent good changes, everyone has good chances to be on the leaderboards, even if you loose a match, a lot of other factors matter and contribute to our points which is A GREAT CHANGE NOW!!! I don’t play with any organized team but I’m a decent individual pvp player so I’m quite enjoying the way it is now. So we don’t need to get discouraged no more if someone gets dc or we are completely hopeless, just GIVE YOUR BEST no matter what, aim for 400+ at least if winning looks tough to you!!! This is all I’m doing now! I so much appreciate this new matchmaking system and this leaderboard points system, just amazing!!
Thank you Anet, here I’m now in my full hopes of grabbing a mini llama <3
I’m going to try this build with aristocracy runes for crazy might stacking. Here is my version for WvW. I went with ER for my heal for the Condi cleanse and the low CD to proc Aristocracy 6 more often. Also FGS because I like mobility.
Sounds interesting! Let me know how it goes for you :-)
Well done! You’ve done the impressive: you’ve made me enjoy playing my Ele in PvP.
Explanation:
As one of the oldies whose been playing since beta, I’ve dalied with maining an ele several times, but I always leave the class because of the necessity for rotations. Very few other classes are so dependent on rotation patterns for viability.Yes, I know that every class has a theoretical maximum DPS possible with a particular chain of skills based on a two weapon skill cycle. But theory seldom works in PvE, let alone PvP where some other idiot is trying to disrupt you. Most other classes have a large contingent of discretionary capability to their viable builds. Elementalists, historically, lack discretionary capability: failure to follow the rotation exactly = loss of competitive viability.
The meta rotations are dull, overly predictable, and are about as much fun to play as pressing the right arrow key to play “Snake.” Looking all the way back to GW1, I have always preferred discretion-oriented builds to rotation-dependent builds. (E.g. I hated playing “PermaSin.”)
I said all that to say that I find that this mono-element build actually gives me far more discretion than pretty much any other ele build I have used – and I’ve used a lot. The autoattack supplies decent pressure, but the timing of the signets, elite, and heals make all the difference in the world.
So, thank you! I will continue to enjoy this version of the Ele in PvP and will try to recommend changes as the build evolves. Hopefully it does not become too meta or it will surely be nerfed into oblivion.
Thanks Jack! I’m glad you are enjoying pvp as ele now.
Whenever I see someone running this build in pvp or wvw, it makes me smile
You should check it’s wvw version also and let me know your views as you continue to play this.
switching the scepter out for dagger is perfectly acceptable its a playstyle thing i personally would run this with dagger because i like the movement. and just for lulz why not check the damage on FGS 2 skill while you have this build open (66600). As usual condi clear builds mess things up pretty bad but welcome to being a condi anything build. anyway take it against a zerg and chuckle as you watch you get bags from people without any condi clears in their build long after the enemy zerg has run away. get used to seeing the number 888 btw since thats what your burn ticks are. oh and you can bleed them too thats also nice…..
Oh I like you just copied my build with glyph utilities instead of signets, well not bad if this works for you but you could have mentioned some credits may be for the base build I made (i.e. 6,2,6,0,0 with stone heart, blinding ashes traits)! :-)
EDIT: and you’re a liar too! lol
(edited by Diva.1476)
Hi lovely people
I have been overwhelmed with the positive response on my previous condi signet build] I posted here a couple of months ago, specially many starter eles and completely new players found it really useful and handy to use which fulfils its main motive. Here I’m to show it’s wvw version, I got a chance to record few roaming fights in wvw, some alone and some with a couple of friends. Let me know your views/ feedback/ suggestions on the same. I’m gonna quickly point out some major advantages of this build:
+ Cost Effective (runes, armors <coe dungeon> used are really cheap to get)
+ Easy to play yet very effective
+ Heavy condi pressure (around 2k condi damage)
+ Great survivability (Very high toughness around 3400, it could go upto 3600 if you use Obsidian Focus, 1st trait of earth line, that increases your toughness while channeling skill which is our Earth AA so nearly perma tough up yay! But personally I think we don’t need this high toughness)
+ Variety of conditions available along with frequent blinds
+ Above all, you’re immune to critical hits!! (lot of berserker/ assassin builds are emerging in wvw lately so it’s good to be safe than sorry lol)
For the build details, check out the old link cause it’s almost same as mentioned in Diva’s Condi Signet Build] with some minor adjustments to suit wvw more. I had a great success in dueling, it simply dominates any class in 1 vs 1 but watch out for other heavy condi builds that would always be a bad fight for this build, (Burning Fire could be used over Blinding Ashes for extra cleanse, it’s totally a personal choice)
Game play video WvW montage using Stone Heart condi signet build
Good Luck on trying this build. Also, feel free to ask any questions about the same.
Gameplay Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1kA9I1kWLo
Nex is using s/d and s/f???? What world am I living in :O. Ive only ever seen you use d/d since launch lol.
My S/F build would be a fun duel for your mesmer! It’d be super dangerous for me.
Yeah I’m doing lots of things to keep the game fresh, but making videos really helps.
Get this dude, there’s one or two trolls that dislike each of my videos, but the guy who really gets me laughing is some nooby condi ele named Armageddon Ash? I recall his forum posts advocating people be condi tanks.
He makes the funniest comments, which from a condition ele, are even funnier. His videos are bad, too
.
The drama keeps the game fresh :P.
oh well this guy Armageddon Ash posted very nasty and provoking comments on my videos too, he started arguing with other people on my video so I had to ban him from my youtube channel lol and here I see his name again. Well this confirms we’re on the right path and just need to ignore such haters. I like your vids, Belchy! Feel free to check mine also and leave your comments :-)
I have all classes:
- acceptable 1v1 and 1vX
- swiftness to allies for running dolyaks
- enough AoE to flip camps fast
- doesn’t need to swap weps (because I’m lazy)
This is the build I made specially for lazy people, no jokes, it’s very effective, give it a try!
I’m facing the same problem! really sick of figuring out what has happened. I hear some other people did it successfully. Is it bugged randomly? :/
It’s same for me, I did everything as suggested by my guildies or forum members here, but I’m completely bugged, in stealth forever, can’t use any switches neither can kill……. gotta redo the instance second time now which is absolutely a turn off thing. Hope the staff is aware of such bugs.
This looks so good, I just submitted mine.
Thanks for the fun event, looking forward to see other people creativity.

An Elite should be something that could be used in emergencies as a saviour in most of the situations. We rely so much on our boons and considering our class lacks a good elite, here is something I have come up with.
I would suggest for a “Cantrip” based Elite skill may be a Cantrip Signet with a CD of 90 secs having..
Passive Effect: Improved boon duration (even by a little 10% would be nice)
Active Effect: Gain Quickness, Might, Fury, Regen for 8 secs OR Instantly recharge all attunements
Also, Cantrip water traits would gell well so nicely with this elite. Let me know what you guys think
As for the rework on the existing elite skills, Tornado could have some hard hitting AOE skills more longer duration.
(edited by Diva.1476)
Would this build be at all viable in PvE?
Maybe with some adjustments?
Simple answer would be: No. Reasons being, it’s a pure condi build and we know very well in pve, condi builds aren’t very viable over direct damage, 2ndly, even tho I’m sure monsters do crit damage too but their normal damage would be a lot to take considering we have very low hp hence, it wouldn’t be that great anywhere in pve content. :-)
If I win anything, i’m gonna throw a huge party in Divinity’s Reach and announcing it on forums too. feeling lucky
hey I used this build over a year ago though
(but I had not made the video :P )
(google translator, sorry guy .. )
Hello, yeah but unfortunately condi ele wasn’t viable back then. Post 9th sep patch, our signets received quite good changes which has now led to a lot of condi ele build floating around. :-)
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/s2/Last-boss-Exposed-Weakness-Redux
This post will help you encountering end boss. :-)
The hard part is eliminating every source of boons. The engineer for instance have at least two trait lines where minor traits will produce a boon of some sort under the right condition.
You’re right, for example my mesmer friend had the same issue so finally she had to go 6,0,0,0,4 and had to avoid putting anymore trait points cause minor traits had boons in there.
First off amazing update overall!! Loving it whole-heartedly and thrilling achievements!!! I really think we need more of these.
Echoes of the Past Story – Exposed Weakness: Redux achievement
This is quite an easy achievement, I didn’t see any bugs as people have been complaining about. They might just be confused or something so I decided to record the fight in between
A mini step-wise guide:
1. Look for the white shield on the floor, quickly grab it
2. Go near to the Vertex to transfer your 1 hp boon over it (i.e white shield buff)
3. Once the vertex has 1 hp boon, kill it immediately as it will damage the main boss
4. When a facet spawns in between, kill him first, it will give you a random color buff, take it to the vertex under same colour but before going to vertex don’t forget to take the white shield (because transferring 1 hp buff to the vertex is important)
5. Repeat all these steps until the boss is dead.
Important: You have to make sure you don’t use any kind of boons from either major/ minor traits, sigils, runes or utility skills, otherwise, vertexes would steal your boons and this achievement will fail.
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZ5BJUyQXSA
I hope it would be be helpful to some of you.
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fFIQFAWlcMonhVPwpBktNABgFOAEBWAiLBZghYp3AA-TFiDABLcAB4THxAPAgMV/BgLEQXKBdS5nK7PEA4A43fD893c+5nf+5n3v/+7v/+bpAGbZE-w I run this on a nightly basis the enemy takes massive spikes in damage but since im dodging in and out of 20+ other people they can never figure out which ele is the squishy that is ruining their lifes.
I play this same build, only difference is I have mix of berserk+assassin stats on armors, scholar runes and Lightening Rod trait in place of Shocking Aura. This trait does huge damage and we staff eles have quite a few good interrupting skills (you could try dropping them behind when someone is chasing you for some laughs). :-)
Hey Phyrak, I thought of utilizing single attunement also and here is what I had made a month ago. You probably missed to read my post back then. Let me know your views on it
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/elementalist/Diva-s-Condi-Signet-Build-Video-Added-1/first
Condi ele’s fun :P but the least effective one, borderline viable, wouldn’t recommend it for beginners. It’s different from Diva’s but they already have 1 for pvp:
http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Elementalist_-_D/F_4_Signet_Condi
I just submitted mine also to the metabattle site, will eagerly wait for their response on it :-)
I play a similar build to this one except with a staff for the control.. The only class I have any issues with are any half decent necros, they just nail me.. Any ideas on that matchup?
yeah a good condi necro could be a problem, in fact any heavy condi builds will be hard to counter but it’s not so hopeless at all so I personally to counter condi builds (assuming duels), I would change Blinding Ashes to Burning Fire trait and also will switch signet of water to Burning Fire utility for 2 extra condi cleanses. If this doesn’t seem enough, I could also change earth master trait to “Geomancer’s Alacrity” for faster cooling down of earth skills which will give us access to “Magnetic Wave” every 20 secs which is pretty good. Do let me know if these suggestions work for you
It won’t help you learn the class very much(as you stay in one attunement for the entire time) but try googling Diva’s Condition Signet Build. I only say google it because although it is located here on the forums I was having trouble viewing it and don’t know if that applies to everyone.
The video can be found here and there is a build description for PvP in the description. I hope Diva doesn’t mind me sharing the build like this, I was just amazed at how effective it was ^^
It always makes me smile when someone appreciates my little effort, so thank you ! :-)
Here is the forum post link for Diva’s Condi Build
Also, I have no idea but I was wondering if this could be added to metabattle site under some “general” ele builds to try out for new people, may be :-)
(edited by Diva.1476)
I have something similar, except I don’t use blinding ashes, instead I run Burning Fire and Cleansing Wave as my condi clearers, this build has 95% burn duration 90% bleed duration, and doesn’t rely on crits at all, everything is Dire.
If elemental shielding coupled with Fire’s embraced gave you protection, I would so run it, it seems to only proc from your weapon skills and not combo fnishers or the 2 traits combined.
Update: running Shard of Ice instead of arcane abatement as a cover condition.
Looks good to me, pure Dire has so much sustain already and this pure condi ele works great for wvw roaming. :-)
Hello Divaaaaaa
Always nice to see someone else trying condi ele! I like your build, it must be very good in 1v1, but fighting against some people using it I noticed it lacks stabilty and cleansing. If I may suggest, I think you should drop blinding ashes and get cleansing fire (trait), another suggestion is taking off signet of fire and adding cleasing fire (utility), my problem with blinding ashes is that in a build like yours, with many ways to burn, it runs a little bit out of your control and is, many times, wasted. I also feel like you run an excessive amount of condition damage, perhaps if you dropped strenght of stone and got earth’s embrace you’d add some stability and be able to deal much better with c/c.
Anyway! Power to you sister!
Your points are pretty valid and I have considered all such suggestions from you guys now, however, blinding ashes I still use but I have given up signet of water for cleansing fire for some additional cleasing. Thanks for your comment :-)
How fast does this clear camps?
If you’re looking for a build to clear camps mainly, try some other build. The original post clearly talks about the pros n cons of this build, read them first please.
Broooo,, it says it doesn’t burst enemies fast. I took that to mean players. My PD condi thief takes down players slowly but my goodness does it shred camps fast with caltrops and richocet. Condi can shred player enemies slow and NPC enemies fast, hence why I asked. No need to assault my literacy
Thanks for answering my question though.
Diva, not hating. It’s a great build for fighting people. I just hate having fun so I focus on clearing camps.
Oh my dear, not meaning to be rude at all to you, sorry if I sounded so. Yeah since it doesn’t have much aoe attacks, camp clearing will be a but slower as compared to condi necro or thief but try it in roaming, it’s such fun lol. I just love using this build in 1 vs 1, you will win 95% of the time.
P.S. I’m not bro, you can call me sis though :p
How fast does this clear camps?
slow enough for the enemy team to come to the camp and kill u
Yeah another negative nancy here! Well, isn’t that quite obvious it will be slower as it’s a full condi build!? Not all builds are made to do everything at faster speed sigh
How fast does this clear camps?
If you’re looking for a build to clear camps mainly, try some other build. The original post clearly talks about the pros n cons of this build, read them first please.
@Diva: Great Video. :-)
Which is the first song in your video?
I like it very much and would like to download it.
Thanks!! and I also love this Japanese pop song by Stereopony and song name is I Am A Hero
Thanks for sharing this build, Diva! I played it in tpvp matches, totally loved it, it wrecks any enemy specially in 1 v 1, this post should be sticky!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks !! Every time I see someone using this build in SoloQ or Tpvp it brings a smile on my face lol
So, I left SoloQ right after reaching top 25, because of players’ attitude and because I didn’t kinda feel there’s any sort of point in competing for such a silly leaderboard. I mean, I don’t really think I deserved that 25th place, because afterall SoloQ is just luck.
Then I entered TeamQ and it was harder, due to the presence of premades, and this is good, and expected. What it’s not expected is that players’ behaviour is totally the same as SoloQ. I mean, there IS an etiquette, so just FOLLOW it.
- Don’t join at the very last second, not letting your team reroll!
- REROLL if you see you obviously NEED to reroll! (had a match with 3 thieves, I rerolled asking one or two of them to do so, I re-entered the match and they were all there).
- COMMUNICATE, for the love of god, if I didn’t want to relate with other players I’d do hotjoin (or SoloQ, but it’s kinda the same) NOT TeamQ! Even if all of our team is formed by PUGs, I expect more “professionalism” in TeamQ!
I know I’m gonna get flamed, but hey! I just wanted to write this.
TL;DR
TeamQ’s players’ Behaviour is the same as SoloQ.
Valid points, Frenkie!! However, if you jump to tpvp, you are expected to go there with a pre made team preferably using TS so you don’t spoil your gaming experience much. Communication will always be a problem in tpvp otherwise :-)
After watching the video, I also have two pieces of feedback for the playstyle of the build.
- This is somewhat directed at you because there was a lot of it during the video, but applies to absolutely everyone. Don’t waste your dodges by using them willy-nilly. It helps to play a few dozen games thinking exclusively about only using your dodge when any non-autoattack skill is being cast on you. This’ll get you initially into the habit of watching your opponent and also of not using dodges on autoattacks. After you become more comfortable with this and learn the animations a bit more, you can bump it up to focusing on only dodging high-damage skills and CC. It’ll take a bit of work in the beginning, but it all builds into muscle memory at a certain point and will improve your game.
- Heavily consider starting fights in a different attunement and then swap into earth. I get that the whole point of a mono-attunement build is to not have to deal with the elementalist class mechanic, but even if you plan to sit in Earth the entire time, you will benefit heavily from just starting in fire/air (your build doesn’t benefit a lot from the water line, so we’ll skip it). Starting in fire would be good for your elite skill, as the elite fire elemental’s active ability is far and away better than the earth elemental’s. Starting in fire also allows you to drop Flamewall for a 10 second fire field that you can use your earth autoattack through for a 20% chance of burning projectile bonus per shard (that’s a lot more burning!). Also a free 5 second fire shield. Meh, but it’s instant and just requires a button press. Starting in air lets you drop Swirling Winds for 6 seconds of anti-ranged pressure that you can comfortably use your earth autoattack for, and you can literally just 2345 in Air and then swap to Earth at the beginning of a fight to get them blinded, knocked down, and have swirling winds up. It’s immensely little amount of work to do for a massive benefit.
tl;dr: Like the idea, but the original build is overkill against direct damage. Make a few anti-condition/CC changes. Dodge smarter. Start fights in fire and/or air.
hey, thanks for your comments. I liked how nicely you put up your points in details. :-)
Starting fights in air then switch to earth is one of the best suggestions I have received on this build !! I will review all the changes you have suggested and will see to update my build accordingly. Thanks again
EDIT: I absolutely think and can clearly see in the video as well that I dodge very carefully and might have dodged a few times here n there in suspecting of an attack but otherwise I use my dodges quite smartly!
(edited by Diva.1476)
Please Bookmark the WvW build for future reference if you plan condi.
You have fuzzies approval on this build
Thanks !
Indeed, the WvW version brings more vitality and boost to every stat which we could use more to melt our foes faster! I’m really enjoying it now a days, glad i’m not alone on this !! lol
Played against this build in hotjoin as a D/P thief. It’s super annoying from the perspective of someone who carries a single condi clear on a 50 second cd. One weakness I found though is that if I waited for the focus cleanse (4) I could immobilize the ele and interrupt the heal (depending on the heal) and it pretty much killed them every time. It was hard to force the ele into a corner to blow the cleanse (and invuln), but the 6-9 second immobilize caused him to rage quit eventually.
Very hard to counter though.
If my build troubled you to counter as a thief, I would take it as my achievement! lol don’t take me wrong but thieves have been so annoying to ele specially in 1 v 1 so i’m glad to see your comment. Though, you figured it out so right about the focus cleanse, you can interrupt our healing skill as well if it’s not the signet heal as you may have seen in my vid, it would work for you mostly but depends how your opponent ele time it, I usually wouldn’t use it too often unless I have burning or poison on me, just saying
This is indeed incredibly strong build from the prospective of duels as well as spvp. I played it in tpvp and wvw as well, worked equally great!
Thanks Ralkuth for your input, i’ve also tried the playstyle of Diva’s posted video last night and it was awesome. i needed to practice some more, arcane blast i think is helpful for those annoying thieves. i am switching from blasting staff to arcane mastery based on the situation and map.
Yep, that was me playing a “Jihad ele”, I just love playing that way if I’m having a good team to carry me well which I normally do, cause it’s really important that your team mates know your strength and weaknesses otherwise it’s just a gamble if you take it to play with pugs. Good luck !!
Staff Jihad Ele is almost extinct.
awww lol Staff Jihad Ele sucha cool term <3
Well, here are 2 cute examples of Jihad ele:
I don’t know if you’ve taken this into WvW yet, but it can work pretty well there for roaming too (the 62600 version anyways). The particular variant I use is: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fFAQJArdhcMKbW3wtBf0ACAS4ANSMu3uii2A-T1RHABGp8Dm9HYR9nO0TAwDCI4TIQUKBJFAMTjA-w
I feel it becomes much more important to have signet of air since you need the mobility and stun break in WvW style combat. I usually take it over signet of earth, but swapping out signet of water could probably work as well, especially since the passive effect isn’t profound. Signet of fire is a must have though. As a result of this, I feel stone heart has to be dropped in favour of written in stone so that you can preserve your mobility even after popping the signet. It also makes signet of restoration less costly to pop as well.
I haven’t unlocked blinding ashes yet, but I’ve been using burning fire since it affords extra condition clearing. I’m a little wary of blinding ashes since it might make me too vulnerable to conditions.
Also, I usually do FGS in WvW for obvious reasons. Haven’t really toyed around with the elemental too much.
I’ve also just stuck with undead runes for now, although I think almost any of the condition damage-based runesets would work out. I’ve been tempted to try out the runes of Grenth or the runes of the adventurer, personally.
I also use the doom and torment sigils to add condition variety instead of dumping things heavily into bleeding. This requires swapping attunements, but I feel it’s something eles should be doing in general. Camping an attunement can end up being quite damaging in the long run, though it’s obvious why you would want to stay in earth attunement in you’re running stone heart. Combat can differ quite a bit between WvW and sPvP though.
Yes, I did try it in wvw, this what I exactly use:
http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?fFAQJArdhcMKb23wuBd0ACAW4AQDoIOOIsDSii2AA-T1hOABpo8bi9Hw8BA8g6PAong0TAANKBJFAMTjA-w
I don’t always use signet of air to chill so it’s passive effect remains active for mobility and I play wvw occasionally with at least 3-4 friends of mine so this build does pretty good job there ^^
Here is what you can enjoy after sep 9th feature update, a little different and definately fun build for spvp:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/elementalist/Diva-s-Condi-Signet-Build-Video-Added-1
I think the term “glass cannon” doesn’t even define your build anymore lol. More like, a “twig bazooka”.
LOL and did you try the build yourself? It does feel amazing to shoot bazookas
Gave this build ago instead of the usual stuff. Its such jokes. hilarious times have been had with this build the past 3 hours. Can easily reach insane stacks of bleeds and the effective hp is high with not being able to be crit.
In the earth tree have you thought about trading something for elemental shielding? All the signets would provide alot of protection for further survivability.
yeahh I tried elemental shielding, made me feel so safe but here is what I have to say about it, with this build, we are super good against any power build already, our problem remains condi classes, so I thought having lower cd on signets will let me put more condi pressure on them than having to add more toughness thingy. But, it’s quite situational, if I’m called for a duel with axe/x warrior, power mesmer or any such powerful builds, I would definitely take elemental shielding over low cd on signets, tweaks are always good to make so do whatever works best for you. :-)
(edited by Diva.1476)
Great vid! I can’t seem to identify where the 3 stacks of vulnerability you keep inflicting are coming from. It looks like it’s coming from your signet use, but I don’t see why that would be happening in the build you listed. Can you clarify?
Thanks!
And yes, those stacks of vulnerbility are from water 2 trait (you put vulnerbility if you use signet), earlier I thought an additional condition would be nice to have but I was suggested to go 2 in air for fury than 2 in water since fury will be better with our Burning Precision trait, so I tried both and found latter was better so now the build in video description is updated. But I did try a lot of things earlier so you might see a little variation in the video footage

@jingkangtan.6752, MightyMicah.7451, gaurav.7340:
Thank you guys for trying this out and glad you all liked it. I feel so much appreciated
I remember reading a quote once that said, “Meta builds are all about eliminating counterplay”. This was the truest thing I’ve ever read about this game.
- Hambow
- Cele ele
- Instant burst damage ele
- Bunker guardian
- Celestial engineer
etc. That is why I like unorthodox builds like this one – they have counterplay, are actually balanced and your viewers will actually be able to watch the game and understand WTF is going on. This build has nothing on the ridiculous uncounterable celestial strength rune elementalist, but I like it.
I didn’t see you using elemental shielding for protection though?
Yeah you’re right and I really can’t stand so called meta builds all the time, a little diversity is fun for every class, to keep your interest alive in game. I’m glad I could come up with something interesting like this. Also, yeah I did use protection from earth golem but sometimes I might have forgotten in the heat of fights lol
other post was messed up so creating a new one
Hey All,
I havn’t seen this around after the patch so here I present you with this awesome condi signet build which I have been playing in tpvp/ solo q for quite a while and it totally dominates any fight specially in 1 v 1 scenario. This build is very easy to use in fact some might gonna call it “skill less” play etc but if it works, I won’t mind using it. Basically, all you have to do is stay in earth attunement all the time and never change it during the fight, reasons being, you HP is very little and you don’t wanna die instantly taking any critical hits while in earth we have “Stone Heart” trait, so you’re always safe there. This is a great dueling build as cheesy as PU condi mesmer used to be.
Sigils used are: Earth and corruption, along with Rabid Amulet.
Here are some pros n cons for this build:
Pros:
1. You can’t get critially hit while having a high condi damage (around 1700), 30% extra duration (could use more condi duration runes) and around 3400 toughness (with Rock barrier) so keep pressing earth skill #1 and use signets whenever you can.
2. You got a variety of additional conditions available at your disposal like immobilize, chill, cripple which are good to mess up with foes mobility.
3. Signets CDs are so low with Fire Shield to yourself which will burn your foes hard.
4. Frequent Blinds – Blinding Ashes will be your saviour many times and be used a lot more frequently in a fight (because of Signet’s fire shield and burning precision traits in fire)
5. No attunement switching hassles, no need to make those mind freaking combos with this build.
6. It’s awesome cause it’s 1st ever easy-peasy-ele build I have come across lol
7. See your foes melting away like never before, this build has potential to even do vs 2 or 3 if you play well.
Cons:
1. You won’t be using any other attunements.
2. Limited condi cleanse but you could change healing skill to Ether Renewal but be careful cause it can be interrupted very easily.
3. Low HP Pool
4. As any other condi class, you will be bursting enemies down slowly.
And because celestial ele is so mainstream, we need a variety now!! No more standing at safe spots, no more fun being squishy, time to facetank them!!
You can find the updated build link in the description of the video. Hope you have fun watching some of my random fights with this build:
