Some people dont find hard bosses fun cause they are too bad to figure out the tactics or do it right. I find lupicus fight for the instance 100x more funnier than this mad king boss.
I run Arah daily and Path 3 takes my group max ONE HOUR.
You are saying that you have done Arah BILLION times and you spend 3 or more hours in each path after those billion time runs you have done? okey man you suck reallly hard
sorry but your comment are just ridduculous.
Every path in Arah take abount an hour to complete.
stop just posting bullkitten* all over these forums already
here is one of our first runs we have done: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQ26IRlj5AU
(edited by Dogblaster.6713)
Both .. and I have done about 100+ explorable runs
By the way… Magic find apply just to drops from mobs, NOT chests. So having magic find in dungeons is totaly wasted stat.
I have 4x 80 characters and I dont think has to do anything with this
And also you cant do 30 dailyes per day, so even if it was true who cares …
man I dont know why you see this as a problem .. really
(edited by Dogblaster.6713)
630 hours played total in GW2 so far.
I think what he possibly means by
‘get better gear’
is better skins?
Or more interesting ones. Or just more of them in general.Afaik, the only dungeon set of armor atm with particle effects is CoF.
As for sets you can buy after profiting from your ‘raid loots’ same sort of deal, there’s limited skins to choose from at this point.
My Advise:
Wait for expansion if you have all the gear skins you want and only plan on PvE.More dungeons will be a certainty, and by that time I’m sure there will be alot more in other areas as well, + improved loot from open world that will make doing those big ol’ dragons worth doing.
After getting all the skins I want in a skin= reward kinda game, at level 80 I’m faced with:
-Making alts (which isn’t really that exciting 4th alt down the track)
-Waiting around the open world to do the dragon events which (at least currently but soon to be fixed I have heard) are not rewarding enough for the time spent.
-sPvP
-WvW
- Doing the same dungeons over and over again not for tokens (which by this time I don’t need, I have enough now to gear out all my alts too!), but for the 26 silver at the end or for experience on one of the alts I’m leveling.
-Get Legendary weapon (possibility to drive me insane somewhere along the way)
-Farm cursed shore events for Karma/money (another possibility of insanity if you don’t like grind)At level 80 my conclusion is:
-Get the tokens you need for the skins you want and set up your exotic gear. Use the money from dungeons to buy exotic accessories and runes/sigils to complete your gear set.
-Get your traits sorted
-Go to WvW or sPvP
-Make alts if you so desire, if you need money just pop into a few dungeons on your main for the 26 silver then transfer your tokens onto your alts to gear those up.
-A fast way to level alts is through crafting – another use for any spare money u got left over from dungeons.
Arah, AC weapons have particle effects too and even better ones than CoF. And sadly CoF is considered the least unique and prestigue gear cause there were so many buggs, exploits that it was just too easy to obtain full set in no time.
And sadly no, explorable dungeons are not like raids cause they are even easyer than heroics in WoW and dungeons in other mmorpgs ive played (I ve played every mmorpg released in past 8 years). I am doing arah daily, path 2,3,4 and its just too easy. I have to pay attention only at lupicus and even there, just a little bit.
(edited by Dogblaster.6713)
I am sorry to say this but you failed with Explorable mode. I ve done almost every of them and I found them to be just easy and usually not even challenging.
I wouldn’t go THAT far. Yes they have easy paths and the difficulty curve is like a Bi-Polar roller coaster for some dungeons, just look at the amount of people that “beat” Magg encounter the “correct” way and those that use 2/3 strat.
2/3 Strat isn’t really beating it as it is bashing your head into the wall hoping to get to the other side. Sure you can make it, but it isn’t a good solution.
Thing is … completed dungeons is still completed dungeon no matter how you manage to do that. When that path was possible to just skip or exploitable everyone was just doing it, they got no bans for it, that is just lame …
THERE shouldnt exist any way to skip it or do it somehow tricky like 2/3 or even Lupicus pulling to waypoint, really .. ?
This is just prove how poorly dungeons are done/finished, not enought tested and how Guild Wars 2 was released too soon. I am talking about bugs, exploits, skipping bosses … etc… ASPECT. How its possible that there are so many unfinished things in dungeons? You need really a lot of work to do to fix this. Its feels like beta version tbh.
(edited by Dogblaster.6713)
Lower the health of all dungeon mobs in the game by 50%, raise damage done by 10%.
Posted by: Dogblaster.6713
Ye why not. Lets do explorable dungeon in 5-10 min now
I agree lets make their HP lower but make explorable dungeons 2-3x harder and longer. I am sick of running 20 min runs with closed eyes all the time. Only Arah is enjoybale for me so far
This is our intent.
Story Mode – Moderate difficulty for a randomly formed pick up group. Memorable moments of achievement and accomplishment when you and a group of strangers overcome a difficult encounter/boss.
Explorable Mode – Moderate difficulty for extremely organized and well versed players. Randomly formed pick up groups should find this content very difficult. Memorable moments of accomplishment and achievement when you defeat an exceptionally difficult boss/encounter.
I am sorry to say this but you failed with Explorable mode. I ve done almost every of them and I found them to be just easy and usually not even challenging. I am doing Arah daily with even random bad players almost with no problem and the worst thing is … Dungeons like CoF, AC, TA explorable can be done with closed eyes. Yes this is how easy they are, thats why you see everyone having these armors almost immidiately.
Ive been explorable dungeons with randoms that never done any dungeons before, even story mode and we facerolled it, no progression ever needed except lupicus and maybe one or two bosses … so tell me what is hard about your explorable mode? Nothing
Weird because I have 4x 80 lvl characters and I run same paths of dungeon few times per day with each of these characters and I usually I get 60 tokens even when I did that path already
Runnin Arah daily for past 2 weeks and had no problem what so ever. Only problem ive seen is when players with bad builds and gear goes Arah. Glass canon gear is not option in Arah, I ve seen only 2 of my thief friends doing fine with glass canon build but rest failed.
Path 2 is the easyest+ path 4 last boss is kinda tricky
but easy
Stop complaining and who cares about you not running arah again? Man come on, why you need to make treath about your and your friends failiure? … There are plenty of players that can do every route without problems.
Same goes for instace in AC. I saw many and many randoms players fail so hard in AC because they were just bad, then there I had so smooth runs where we just AOEd all and no one get even downed for the whole run. All depends on your build, gear and skill. These 3 terms make so much big difference.
(edited by Dogblaster.6713)
This is just bad idea and suggestion.
First of all, there are always hard and easy dungeons. For instance, CoF route 1-2 what can be done in 15 minutes with random bad player groups. And there you have Arah, CoE etc where you need more skilled players and better builds with some communication.
If I see player with full Arah gear, I atleast know he has good build, he knows his class and he put some effort into it.
When I see player with CoF, TA gear … I just say meh, some random lame kitten that farmed it in a week ..
Just deal with it … You want some specific gear? So just run the specific dungeon and stop complaining.
THIS IS MMORPG, it should be played for months, years. NOT weeks. So if expect having best looking gear set in the week you are just kitten. Sorry …
Arenanet, where is your statement that Explorable dungeons are ment to be cleared only be skilled and well organized groups of people, not pugs or randoms?
I see tons of bad random groups clering every explorable each day … there is no hard explorable dungeon. Arah is also joke …
Its more about grind than actually hard and challenging fights …
No I dont think Arah should give more tokens than other dungeons just because is harder or longer. I would like to see Arah even harder cause its already easy as f***
The reward you get for harder and longer dungeons (in this case Arah) is awesome looking gear.
If you dont like it, dont do it. Simple ..
I already have about 800 tokens from Arah, easy … 2 runs per day and patience = awesome gear
p.s.: 1 hour long dungeon is short, I am used to run dungeons for 2+ hours minimum. People these days are spoiled by getting everything for free … lame
man can u read? I wrote I did it with my team and we are skilled. So it’s skill + exotic ==’
Me and my friends we competed Arah route about 20 times+. And our setup was always different. Sometimes 3x thief, or 3x necro, 2x guardian, 3x ele … etc
Its not about the setup at all !! Its about skill, traits and gear(by gear I mean stats, thoughtness, vit, power …).
If me and my friends can beat it every day without problem, do every rout in 1 hour then you and your friends arent that skilled as you claim.
learn to play better before complaining next time …
P.S.: This is one of our daily runs… path 3:

“What I would call ‘hard’ was trying to run Domain of Anguish and Mallyx with a balanced setup in the first weeks it was released. Many people called it impossible, but it was a heck lot of fun to do! Why? Because it offered veriety and fluid gameplay, quick and deadly like it should be. Not kiting a mob for 2 minutes and then walking into the next mob rinse and repeat.”
I’ll point out ironically, when we first turned on DoA back in Gw1 the posts you’re seeing in this forum from a few folks about difficulty were the exact same comments everyone had about DoA. It was “impossible, mobs were just tuned to do insane damage and have huge HP, there was no tactics to defeat DoA”, etc. I went back and read through the original DoA launch feedback and it was literally identical to the comments folks on the forums are leaving now.
We made the choice back then to stick with the difficulty, and give people time to learn how to play the dungeon better and overcome it. A few months later, people viewed it as the most fun thing in the game and totally reasonable without us changing anything.
We’ll be doing the same with the Gw2 explorable dungeons, our own internal testing teams and alpha test groups learned to beat them using a combination of player skill, synchronous builds, strong use of cross-profession combos, use of cooking/consumable buffs (these make a huge difference!) and well formed player tactics. By comparison, after having months to play the game and the time our alpha was complete, some of our better dungeon groups felt the explorable dungeons were too easy for launch, we decided not to make them any harder given the expected player skill on launch.
We’re actively monitoring every dungeon and working on balancing issues we encounter appropriately. We’ll be keeping an eye on bosses we think don’t have enough varied mechanics to warrant their large health pools and updating them over time to make them more varied/interesting fights. We’ll be monitoring, and continually tweaking/adding to dungeon rewards over time and of course balancing where we see the need. And of course, we’ll be looking at adding more dungeons as well!
All of that being said, the game is VERY new for most of our players, and I can absolutely promise with more knowledge of the game and advanced player skill, the explorable dungeons can all be overcome by being skilled groups. We’ve seen many groups do it just fine in our internal alpha test once they had time to learn how to play the game well. Just like Domain of Anguish in Gw1, it takes time and practice to learn how to overcome stuff as hard as our explorable mode dungeons, and that’s exactly the kind of players they are designed for.
If DoA was any indication, a couple months from now, many of you will likely be posting saying most of the dungeons are too easy and you need better challenges“

I am really happy Areanet dont nerf things cause of QQ od bad or not patient players.
I hated dungeons from first, but now I love them and I run Arah, TA daily and they became too easy … there is no hard dungeon in this game. If you say there is, you really dont know what hard boss fight means
Anyway. Thank you Areanet for all your effort

Just learn them

Complaining dungeons are too time consuming in mmorpg? In vanila wow, tbc dungeons took 3 hours each, raids take several hour too now! And in other mmorpgs you have even longer ones.. You dont have time for running them? So dont do dungeos then or make more time ..
Almost everyone i know playes atleast 5 hours a day and those who dont atleast understand Its their problem..
Arah expo, in general all expos ARENT there for casual players who plays 2 hours a day btw. Are you even lvl 80 yet ?
My gf is casual player and do you think she complain about not having arah gear? No! Cause she has brain and she knows how it goes. There are tousands players that plays 7+ hours a day and it would never be fair if someone who is casual and plays 2 hours a day would have same gear..
Mmorpg are ment to be real live fantasy world, some do have more, some less.
If you want to run arah, obtain nicest gear and its so important for you, then MAKE MORE TIME! SIMPE .. this is mmorpg. Not single player gameMan just wth? Really? What next? Want instant 80 level? Or free legendary? In second when they start nerfing dungeons, which are in fact easy anyway now I wont log back in ever again. And i am player that already spent 200 euros on gems and have 450 hours played, what playerbase anet want to keep?
(edited by Dogblaster.6713)
I run Arah explorable twice a day. Usually rout 2 and 3, each route in about an hour.
First it took about 2-3 hours to find out tactics, but after we did, every other run was easyer and easyer.
Dunno where you found out that nobody is doing Arah, on my server there are plenty of players with almost full Arah set. In my guild we have about 3 groups running Arah already every day.
Arah is easy, you just need to know what to do and put some effort in learning your class and how Guild Wars 2 works.
And explorer modes arent supposed to be cleared with random/pug groups without any communication or coordiantion. Ofcourse you find find pug group that manage to run Arah without problem, but you have to communicate and know what your class can do and what encouters do.
Every explorable in Guild Wars 2 is doable and when you find out what to do, its easy as hell. Too easy in my taste .. you will find out eventually.
I already have Arah greatsword on my guardian and longbow on ranger and I started to run Arah week ago.
This is one of the faster run we had so far. Route 3. Recorded by my friend Johnyc.
- Btw dont mind the deads on the start, we were actually discussing something and it was really late night run. Usually we dont really die or really rarely
- And just for the info, some of us dont even have exotic gear.
Enjoy
(edited by Dogblaster.6713)
Lupicus is easy boss after you learn him and find out what utility skills use.
Ive done him about 15 times now and usually I never die to him anymore.
No tweak needed .. people just dont know what to do, or they are bad at dodging, or they are full glass canon build with no defence..
Learn how to overcome your foe. Not ask for tweaks. Areanet wont neft someting that is doable… Arah is, or supposed to be the hardest dungeon and you should not expect to do it without any skill.
I can say with certainty that the people who want dungeons more difficult are the minority. They need to be able to be done by pug groups that don’t have exotic gear. I’m ,sure they are going to flame me like crazy for this but it is because they are an extremely vocal bunch. Not everyone has 4 hours to fight the same fight over and over with the same group and tons of communication. The most common dungeon group has to be a random one, and most people are taking the same path over and over again despite diminishing returns because the other paths are too hard!
What’s the goal with making them harder? To appease the people who already can do it and have it on autopilot.
What’s the goal with making them easier? To make them more accessible to everyone else who still has yet to do them and get the goodies!
Think about it.
Exotic gear for dungeons is detrimental to your income (repair bills are to high)
from my casual player stand point I can say, rare gear with good runes are enough for dungeons even explorable mode.Sorry but explorable mode dungeons were originally and in principle not designed for pug groups at all.
even so, certain pug groups are well enough coordinated to take on certain paths but not all of them can be achieved so easily by pug groups, CoF path 3 comes to mind.I’m a casual player and don’t have any issues with the difficulty of explore mode dungeons what so ever I hate to say it but this is a case of learn to play in the truest sense of the word.
I myself had many issues at 1st when I didn’t know the dungeon / roles / class mechanics or how to properly spec and play my class, a lack of knowledge will most certainly get you killed, no matter what gear type you have
Looking at CoF path 1 prepatch – it was a nightmare. If the boss didn’t bug out, which was a big if mind you, the last 25% were impossible, yes I said it, bloody impossible for some groups. That is not fun, that is not fair, and that is reliance on roles which I thought this game was trying not to do. I couldn’t disagree more that people should have to join a guild led by some guy, be forced to deal with their politics and fighting, and have to sign up for dungeon times to be able to run with people on a teamspeak server or something.
If leveling was easy and fun, getting into PvP is easy and fun, crafting comes naturally and is rewarding – why should this one aspect of the game be a huge chore and extremely difficult? It’s a grindfest at best with the number of tokens needed to get a set of full exotics, so why should each run take ages and come with huge repair bills? For flaming armor that has no stats bonuses over any other exotic? No sir. That is stupid and is like the WoW gear treadmill minus the better stats! I am amazed anyone buys into that formula at all because it is INSANELY moronic! You have zero idea what fun is if you think it is running a static, difficult dungeon 100 times over for some digital plate is fun, and you should not be allowed to be on these forums at all. Dungeons need to be doable, rewarding, and not take forever. Like it or not Guild Wars 2 ends at one point or another and cutting people off right when they are starting to have fun because you want 30% more damage on mobs to fulfill you is idiotic.
And if you think dungeons in guild wars 2 hard and long, then you sir, must be nothing, but noob. I m running TA expo all 3 routes in less than 2 hours every day and expo arah 1 hour +- each route. I found running dungeons fun, buy also too easy and it becomes routine, where i dont need to thimk. Just kill..
Your kind is the one who shouldnt be allowed to come to these forums, you are the reasons why mmorpgs dies, you want everything to be ’’fun’’ and easy, which means you dont need to put any effort into it ..
You are casual player and you have no rights to want having same gear as hardcore players for nothing. They do put 10x more into it! This is mmorpg!
I love doing dungeons, farming them for awesome gear. But it has to be atleast bit hard!
(edited by Dogblaster.6713)
I agree that they aren’t too hard, but there are many factors to this that people don’t understand yet.
1. Your gear/traits/skills. 9/10 when people complain and I ask them what they’re running, they’re running a glass-cannon build, sometimes even melee glass cannon, wearing green/yellow MAGIC FIND gear. This alone makes most dungeons extremely hard. You can dodge the big attacks all you want, but if you go down 3 auto attacks, you’re not helping the group. I always ask “How much dps do you do laying on your back?” to get my point across. Finding a healthy mix of offense and defense is vital to smooth runs. Remember, not only does your dps drop when you fall down, normally 1 or 2 people gotta stop their dps to come pick you up. The down mechanic is a part of the game, it’s in there for a reason and going down is going to happen every now and then. But if you’re getting downed from 2-3 auto attacks on trash mobs. The fault is on you.
2. Combo fields. Picking your primary and secondary weapons with fields/finishers in mind can greatly improve group dps and survivability. Swapping to a guardian hammer when you see a fire or water field drop can drastically improve your group’s DPS, or aoe heal them respectively. What do you think brings more dps to a fight? Doing a 4k or 5k hit every so often, or giving your group a total of +1750 Power and +1750 condition damage for 20 seconds? No brainer.
3. Understanding the mobs in the dungeon, how they react, and correct pulling. Dodge is in the game for a reason. When you see a whole bunch of red circles at your feet, or a mob rearing back to smash you, and you don’t dodge, you just hurt the group as a whole. A lot of encounters are meant to be split and many classes have abilities to allow this to happen. Scorpion wire, warding walls/circles, necro spectral grasp utility, etc. Splitting mobs can be the difference between an easy fight and a hard wipe.
Once people understand these basic concepts. Correct dungeon builds, fields, team work, mob splitting, team work….. the dungeons go from “impossibly hard” to extremely fun and enjoyable.
Too many people don’t understand that this isn’t EQ, WoW, Aion, etc…. This is GW2 and the combat is unique in it’s own way. It has a learning curve and people need to make an attempt to understand it before they complain about difficulty.
+1
@Wethospu – People complaining explorable dungeons are hard with pugs are just joke, ive done many dungeons with pugs and manage to complete them. Other thing is, designer already stated that explorables are ment for coordinated groups of good players, not for pugs.
Well done man!
I was thinking doing the same, but I am kinda lazy tho
I also think that dungeons arent hard and all of them are doable!
This will atleast prove those complainers wrong.
GL man
I ve done route 2 and 3 many times and Arah is my favorite dungeon in Guild Wars 2. I find it really fun and interesting.
I would only want to see last bosses to become harder, they are really easy as hell.
P.S. Arah is not long, I manage to run Arah rout 2 and 3 in less than hour and half. Our shortest run was hour and ten minutes so far.
Its only about knowing what to do. After you run Arah few times, you find it too easy.
But I am used to run dungeons for 3+ hours from other mmos
Raids for 5+ hours

(edited by Dogblaster.6713)
And btw I admitt, there are kitten a lot of buggs in Guild Wars 2. I complain about them a lot ingame, just so you know. But give it a time and whatever, this is free mmorpg, what can we honestly expect
They dont need players to subscribe so they dont rush hotfixes and patches, etc like they should, sadly …
P2P model ftw …
In everyone mmorpg I see haters complaining .. IN EVERY SINGLE ONE.
Same goes for GW2 and for another 100 mmorpgs released in the future … even if they are perfect.
Players should be more patient … if you are really so disgusted by dungeons in guild wars 2, so just quit doing them for a while..
Dont need to kittening complain like some rage kid all over the place.
And no, I dont read all the posts, most of them are useless and its just waste of time.
I am busy playing the game actually .. or also something called real life when i am bored or sick of games. Try that too
@Aphix … man just lol, you are so lol.
Me and my friends, guild mates or even randoms are usually having great fun in explorable dungeons. You want to argue with me? I dont care about players complaining how much they are wiping and dieing cause they are bad …
I can run all routes of TA in about 30-50 minute each without problem so dont know where is your problem? Also I have few pieces of arah gear + greatsword and finished plenty of other explorable and you know what? I do enjoy almost every of them.
Btw I play mmorpgs for past 8 years, I have maxed out characters in almost every mmo released by then. Lotro, aoc, vanguard, warhammer online, rift, aion, wow, swtor, tera … and I do enjoy Guild wars 2 really a lot.
You oppinion is just yours, but wtf calling all those who enjoy dungeons stupid? All i can see is your stupidity all over this place.
And the problem with bugged tokens reward, its well known fact. So what about just stop doing dungeons untill they fix it instead of cry how bad it is. Some of my friends already stop running dungeons and they are farming, doing pvp untill its done. They arent comming here and call everoyne stupid. Can you do the same? Thanks
*bold*P.S. Dungeons in Guild Wars 2 are fun ! I know it, done almost all of them
bold
Thanks areanet for this awesome game
(edited by Dogblaster.6713)
The reason why some of my friends dont run dungeons is because rare drops are really low there and they are not profitable. Not because they are hard or badly balanced.
By farming events in orr you can make about 10-20g per day ..
I love dungeons in guild wars 2. Already done almost every explorable possible, already have greatsword from Arah and after they fix bugged event. I will be going for full set
I hated dungeons in GW2 first, but after you learn how to play guild wars 2 and how thing works, its easy and fun
and btw stop saying totall bull****, you saw maybe one dungeon and here you come, cry, and complain how bad dungeons are and how badly balanced they. After you play 400 hours like me, learn your class and realize how gw2 works, then come back and maybe someone will listen to you.
Otherwise just leave the game, I hope you know how to uninstal software from your pc. No one will miss you ..
I never understanded players that have to make posts about them leaving the game ..
desprite people

p.s. I have spent about 150 euros on gem story already, dunno why you have to brag about it?
(edited by Dogblaster.6713)
First … I am not elitist or hardcore player by any means, I am avarage gamer thats all I am. But I use brain and i have some experience from past mmorpgs, or other games.
Second .. I have done Arah and other explorables with randoms too, its not immposible. You just have to explain or find out what to do right.
My first run with my friends, we spent 4 hours at lupicus wiping, we gave up. Next day, 2 of us respected from glass canons to more survive build so no one get one shots.
When we tryed Arah again we managed to kill lupicus on first try and finish arah for the first time. From then on, its just easyer and easyer.
If you think that me and everyone who managed to complete Arah is just minority you are wrong. We are players that put some effort into it, we are not by any means elitist or hc players.
I am like the only one from my friends and guild who is visiting these forums, thing is .. those who are satisfied doesnt come to these forums. Cause if they would, you would see more people disagree with you.
Like someone said, some explorables should be easyer but Arah, CoE .. these are ment to be the hardest one and players who want equip from here, they should put some hard effort to do so. Because if it was so easy to obtain, you would just make new alt or quit game after you manage to get it.
Easy and simple.
You can say what you want
those who whine at forums and make posts about how hard things are, how they quit, how game is bad etc .. I saw thousands of you for past 8 years in EVERY mmorpg i have played.. Nothing changed
Even my gf complain less and she never played any mmorpg.
Anything I say or prove wont change Anet minds, so its only their decision if they make GW2 another casual friendly game, where everyone without any effort will have full Arah gear in 2 days. So all I can do is waiting to see what they decide for ..
Thats all.
Have a nice day guys
(edited by Dogblaster.6713)
ONE THING:
This game is called GUILD Wars !!
Its not called pug wars, find yourself a guild, its not hard to do it. You call for nerf explorable route cause you cant do dungeons with pug? Explorable dungeons should NOT be done by pug and random groups, ever.
No, just no. Explorable dungeons, Arah for instance should be harder than it is. Ive done Arah 4 times yesterday and we have managed to do each run in 1 and half hour and everyone in my group said they are just too easy.
The problem with players that cant beat Arah or other dungeons is this, they dont know what progress mean, they are spoiled by other games and they dont want to spend golds on repairs and they dont know how to play their classes.
THERE are many MMORPGS that are exactly what you want them, casual friendly, world of warcraft, rift, swtor, lotro, etc etc. I left ALL of them and wont play them again, why? Cause they are too easy and I could farm the best gear in less than few weeks after maxxing my character.
Guild Wars 2 needs to follow Guild Wars 1 and stay at same difficulty and if it became something like others mmorpgs out there, it will fail for sure.
Guild Wars 2 is easy and dungeons should be harder and who says otherwise just want everything handed for free. That is not how mmorpg should work and If Anet makes dungeons easy and farmable by everyone I am just moving to another mmorpg or game.
Bye
You know what should separates HC and Casual players? The gear they have
If casual would have same gear for running something easyer than me I would be just mad and leave the game. Where is the prestigue of having the gear from hard dungeons? That what is all about, prestigue. Same goes in real life, if everyone would have bentley, mercedes, etc .. I wouldnt care about having these cars ever.
So i vote no, keep it like it is and infact boost some bosses so explorables are even harder because there is almost no hard explorable route in here. After you realize what to do and try it few times, its just easy. Even Arah expo.
I am running Arah Explorable for 2 days now and I will have my Greatsword tomorrow for sure.. easy

There is always someone
just try to browse few pages on forums and ull see
Anyway gj Arenanet, lupicus is the best boss fight I have experienced in guild wars 2 so far.
Hey guys,
because I see so many people saying lupicus is so unkillable, I decided to post the video of my group killing this boss today morning.
This was our second run of Arah on exploration, I am the guardian. Recorded by ele Johny.

If Guild Wars 2 becomes another MMORPG where they neft every content because of players that cant play their characters and cry on the forums, I will be MORE than happy to guit the game …
Please dont nerf Lupikus and infact, boost some of the other bosses. Your designer stated that explorable dungeons are ment to be finished by top players with really good coordinated group …
I have already cleared 2 routes of Arah without any problems, each took 2 hours.
I wont play another wow, casual friendly everything for free crapy game
5 years was enought

The mechanics in this fight are great, but the damage is stupidly high for almost every attack. Not every attack a boss does should be a one-shot kill, and right now his auto-attack, AoE attacks, and shadowstep can all kill most characters. And with the time it takes to res, even if someone helps you, that phase simply becomes a near-impossible uphill battle once someone is defeated — it’s nearly impossible to bring them back up, out of AoE, away from the boss, without getting hit by SOMETHING that kills them right away again.
Oh, and this might be a bug, but he seems to reset on occasion without reason… that’s pretty stupid too.
No he doesnt, hes perfectly fine, maybe hes one of the hardest bosses out there but hes doable when you know how your class works.
Just today we killed him twice with 2 different groups. Once it was on first try and second time it was with one wipe. Route 2 and 3 cleared with almost no problems.
This boss atleast keep away bad players and groups from finishing Arah untill they learn what to do right.
You all have to realize, Arah explorable is supposed to be the hardest dungeon in Guild wars 2 and it should not be easy to finish. So only the good players have Arah gear

Hello all
So, ive just heard there is another way players exploiting magg on the bomb planting in Citadel of flame.
The way you can exploit this event is to brind elementalist, that is resurecting magg to the point, where magg is starting to plant the bomb outside the room and where he doesnt have aggro from spawning mobs. So all the time hes planting the bomb, players just wait, or go afk utill event is end.
Seriously Areanet? Give those exploiters ban or I will start exploiting everything for free tokens too. Because I know players that exploited magg 100 times in past 5 days and they have no bans, nothing. This is totally unfair to those who do dungeons properly and it shows how badly you handle hackers, cheaters, exploiters and all you care about is count of playerbase.
bye
Is this even serious? We 5 manned this Dungeon all Exo geared, me as the Warrior, one Guardian, and three Rangers. We took the usual Forgotten Route and took well over an hour to reach the Champion (which we did not mind) and then realize a bigger boss lied within. This thing cannot be killed over 2 hours of trying death after death. EXO GEARED, ALL 5! This was not and could not be the problem! The furthest we got it down to was half HP, and could not kill it! It would just one-shot anyone it targetted and would wipe out the entire team before one can even make it back to keep the boss from resetting. This is after a 2 hour try! This is the biggest joke ever. I have to say this is the biggest downfall yet in this game for me. Is ArenaNet really trying to push us away from Dungeons? I could really careless about Dungeons at this point. Something needs to happen.
Can any Dev give me insight? I really do not understand what the meaning of this is. Players across servers are already complaining and it has only been in affect for less than 5 hours.
Weird, we just killed the Lupicus boss on the first attempt with my guild group. 3 of us were in full exotic and 2 of us were in green, rare equip.
I dont want to be rude here, but all what is funny is you and your whining how hard this is (ITS NOT) A lot of players from my group already killed him even in pug groups.
Really, what about learn the tactics, learn you class and proper builds. And use proper utility skills
Thing you all were in exotic gear and didnt kill him even for so many tryes is riddiculous and all you should blame is yourself .. thats how it is

All i just saw for past 2 days was .. Arah 2 bosses speed farming tokens.
- This is not why i am playing guild wars .. armor from explorer dungeons are ment to be prestigue, when someone has it, Everyone should know hes skilled and did spend a lot of time doing hard dungeon. Not someone who just repeated 2 first bosses, reset … etcThis patch was the best patch for past few weeks, stop complaining already. Those who are good and skilled already cleared arah and other dungeons on explorable mode and those who cry becuase they cant complete it, they dont deserve to. Learn your class, build proper builds and stop whining.
You guys just want all served on silver plato for free. Not going to happen in guild wars.
bye
No… People cry because ArenaNet punishes them for being “good and skilled” by implementing DR on dungeon tokens.
Either its DR or lock from dungeon like in every other MMORPGS. What will you cry next time about? … Come on …
Areanet atleast gave you opportunity to farm even when DR is up, your choice .. If they went with lock system you would complain anyways !
and btw.. Try harder next time

Yes, sadly it would hurt … MMORPG is like real world and I wont play mmorpg game where someone who plays 5x less and worse than me will have same gear. And I bet there are a lot more players like me, farming dungeons, best gear, legendaries just because they want to be among the top players.
This is the reason i quit wow and few others mmoprgs, cause they are mainly casual frindly games. Everything handed to everyone for free.. no thank you
Would you care about legendary if everyone could have it ? I wouldnt.
Same goes for any piece of armor.
Whole dungeon desing in gw 2 is reallybad. IT SHOULD BE POSSIBLE to do every boss, every encounter without anyone running back from waypoint so boss dont resset, etc. But what I experienced so far is this…. someone dies -> run from waypoint -> someone else dies -> run … etc etc so boss dont reset. There is no way someone can do CoF route 2 without anyone dieing and running inside.
Bad desing. Thats it. GIEF holy trinity and aggro management
Hello guys,
I play MMORPGS for past 10 years and I have played all big mmos realeased in that time. From World of warcraft for 5 years, aion, swtor, rift, aoc, lotro, warhammer online ….. AND Guild wars 2 is the first mmorpg where I dont enjoy dungeons. I tryed many dungeons, explorables, stories modes and they are riddiculous.
Maybe there are many that enjoys them but I bet with anyone, the majority of players agree with me.
Bad job areanet … really, next time try to fix things that are broken instead of screwing up things that arent.
