A dash of advise. I tend to help with my mesmer, has lots of condi removal, projectile defense, stealth, Time warp, Portal, and purple. The downside is I sorta cant do much… solo. I mean I just cant kill things fast enough. Either warden is like “Nah Imma just stand here” or they simply look at the phantasms and kill em. Then the run is screwed because I just cant do enough damage the the people being taught well….
I give advise and dont force to change and that makes runs quite challenging.
I know I can survive with my warrior its just that I dont think I can keep the students alive whilst doing it. I am also thinking guardian since it is somewhat of a middle ground. and well FK ele. Everything insta targets me the second I enter combat. Its like they know. “Where is your fiery Great Sword now mothertrucker? You gonna die kitten!”
I kind of find strictly requiring meta builds kind of sad to be honest, a teacher in my opinion should be proficient enough at a dungeon that they can do enormous carries should the situation demand it just to push along the progress of the instance if the students get stuck somewhere.
I agree with that statement unfortunately I am unable to …. I am not proficient enough to do enormous carries. Is it just a practice more thing or should I be using a different profession? I have access to ele/mes/guard/war/engi (Levelling thief right now.)

Whoever says elementalists just sit on Fire are talking about bad elementalists. Good elementalists use all elements (usually water being least popular when doing solo open world PvE). Staff elementalist is just……boring.

Mileage may vary but I have watched the lfg for a story group to pop up for 5+ mins. While I can and did create one that filled up in less than 4. I therefore deduce that I am bored and should probably be doing something more constructive with my time.
After the run I had.. I assumed new. Then one started talking about arah and how much harder it was. First thought was…. then why dont you have WOR on your bar? Run went downhill from htere. I didnt want to help at all. Infact I all but sabotaged them. Namely by not playing properly.
Also Necro’s are incapable of reading. and arghhhh. I need a break from pugs.

Ive never had a problem myself and never had a problem with a person who was marginally good at the game and wanted to succeed.
Now im not sure on the latest skill trait distribution. Ive got my thief up to 21 or so and he will be in ac the second he is 30. Pistol 5 should carry me through most encounters.
I know the dungeon so well that its not the lack of traits that would kill me. Its the boredom from doing so low damage and being in there for so long.
I guess what im saying is. Bads will be bads no matter what and being low level isnt an excuse. atleast in my experience.
I dont try to compete nor do I know of anyone that competes via AP.
That being said I usually try to log on and do my PVE daily. 1 dungeon run usually completes all the reqs or a run and calmly steal some vegetables from a local farm.
Because Anet designed dungeons that’s clearly meant for level 80s. Even many first time level 80s have trouble clearing dungeon such as AC and CM.
Most of the player base dont play the game good enough (nearly put suck at playing but lol), but the dungeons were created to be played by the levels they start (with equipment of that level and greens).
That so much. It isnt even has hard as say bwe. People were heading into AC at level 25. I know I did still completed it.
Hi! Please try to create your own groups without req’s. They should fill up rather quickly depending on time zone. its 253am est right now. not really rush hour.
What really needs rework is that they should post a message saying to make your own group.

Obviously, I know what I’m supposed to do in dungeons and will run the appropriate builds, swapping traits, weapons, and utilities when necessary.
However, asking someone if they have something so blatantly obvious is like asking if a Thief has stealth or blinds.
And I’m not going to lose any sleep over it, fishball, I’ve been pugging since before GW1 and I’ve pretty much seen it all.

The only thing blatantly obvious is that you are realllllllllyy lucky withyour pugging to not have experiences with people who dont know relatively basic things.
As for Right now. The most I see is for level 80req. 2 popped up under cm that were all welcome I managed to get one but the second one went away so fast that all I had was the empty space.
1 all welcome story mode TA was up but in the time it took me to reach and press print screen it was full and gone.
As for mentoring…. I dont know if there really needs to be one.
What needs to happen is for people to start making LFG’s saying “new to dungeon could use some help” or something like that. So many dungeons I run where I you can tell the person has no clue what is going on but they dont ask for help. people seem to forget gw2/1 is one of the friendliest mmo’s out there. Just need a bit of initiative.
99% of the time I see someone asking for help I instantly click join. Then like 4 other lvl 80’s join and I usually leave in the hope that another low level who needs help could join and learn.
Someone asks for help in map chat and a zerg appears. Ask for how to get to a vista and a horde appears to show you and apply perma swiftness. somehow people forget to do it in dungeons.

Within the first 10 seconds of me loading into CM, they ask if I have reflects. I’m playing a Mesmer. So I reply, “What are Reflects?” Instantly, I was looking at a Queensdale load-screen.
Glad I didn’t run with them. I ended up swapping to my Thief and doing a run with some other people where I ended up soloing all of the Inquest technology (never done CM with my Thief before, so that was interesting) and doing some other fun things that I’d never done before. It was a learning experience although I know a lot of mechanics well so it wasn’t that bumpy. It was actually quite fun compared to my Mesmer where it’s mostly just: Stack -> Reflect -> Stack -> Reflect -> Reflect -> Stack.

below 1.5k = Generally doesnt know anything. Above 10k= I have a legendary greatsword(staff) as a mesmer(guardian) and by god I am going to use it!
The only exceptions is I have yet to see a bad one is ele and the thief. Now of-course this doesnt mean this is an universal truth nor that it will be true when I log on tonight but thus far.. :"D
They have all been s/fers who stack might and its usually the only time I ever see 25stacks of might. ( I add in my 15is stacks of might)
Leveling alts(s) to level 10 and then unlocking all weapons skills by equipping each weapon is convenient. The rest reallyseriously do need a good looking in to.
I enjoyed leveling the weapon skills and looking at the list of weapons I could equip and then crafting or finding or somehow getting the weapons I hadn’t unlocked and unlocking the skills. It just sort of felt like a small little accomplishment.
Question: Is there some place where each change and its rationale is clearly explained by a developer? Other than an overall general “we are making it easier” statement?

Ive had crazy crap like that happen where I was still the only one in the party. Party closing right before my eyes as I wait for it to fill. I thought a CSR hated me for quite some time.
