Not only the game is terribly balanced, but the anet kitten don’t alloc real resources for the PVP servers making the lag unbearable for elementalist play.
sharks, lords, auto balance, underwater combat, burst, retaliation, haste, mesmers, guardians, 5 minute wait in tournies, cant duel while waiting, 10 second cc, bugged tournament chests, bugged skills, ‘its not OP you can dodge it’, ‘its not OP you just cant deal with it yet’, endless loading screens, magically removing conditions while touching the waters surface, magically going immune while touching the waters surface, lagspikes, bugged traits, downed state, imbalanced downed states, multiple classes with 1 shot abilties with lower cooldown than the 10 sec dodge regen, stupid scoring system, only 20% boost from winning, zerging in wvw, zerging in 8v8, one shotting trebs, cannons, release feeling worse than beta weekends, just a handful of maps, no arena like GW1, general lack of pvp attention from devs.

Yea knockdowns are ridiculous, it gets to the point of the game becoming a ping-pong with you being the ball, especially in 8v8 (lol anet 8v8 is such a great idea thank you).

Just tried pvp and wow, staff is an absolute joke in spvp, the situation is even worse than the last beta where i lost my will to pvp. No i am not a glass cannon and no don’t tell me to use cleric/shaman amulet.

Personally i don’t see how you can play with shift while simultaneously holding ASDW, so for me F1-4 is still the best option.

Increased Staff Area on default, remove/change the trait ability to do so.
Reason: As staff we are pigeon holed to 20 points arcana.
Absolutely, from what i’ve seen other classes staves already comes with real radiuses.

Re: Staff. Major comment is that all of our auto attacks are extremely weak
- Fire 1 needs a serious buff to cast time/damage
- Fire 3 is useless since you’re not going to be doing a condi dmg build with Staff given the limited amount of bleeds/burns. Needs to be replaced with a DD that’s on a reasonable cooldown
- Fire 5 – many people might disagree with me here but I say each wave makes every single thing in the radius take damage and not RNG. This is supposed to be the bread and butter for damage in a staff build. It’s not bad for getting people off a door but realistically you’re not going to kill anybody who’s actually paying attention.
- Water 5: needs a seriously reduced cast time given the long CD. It’s basically a self-CC if you’re trying to cast this thing in the middle of a fight you’ll take more damage than the eventual heals especially if focused
- Water 4: Lengthen the chill effect
- Air 1: terribad damage
- Air 2: useless. 1 attack blind for a very long cast time – you’ll probably take more hits while casting than it’s worth to blind that 1 attacketc etc etc
I agree on healing rain but it’s debatable, excellent points otherwise. Staff auto attacks are terrible, the utility very questionable might as well remove them and make do some real damage.

And actually you suck if you don’t use auto targeting, for you have to waste brain farts dealing with targeting, not to mention you can waste cooldowns with no target, for staff that is.
Anet, if you’re going to have kitten servers you need to compensate for latency. This is especially gamebreaking for elementalists because of high APM.
First i keep getting “Skill is still recharging” when client side there’s no cooldown left, high occurrences on attunement swapping.
Latency also make playing elementalist terribly annoying because i have to wait the server to switch attunements, wasting a lot of time and having to mash buttons to stuff quickly after the server finally decides to switch them.
So make at least attunement swap client side for seamless gameplay, so i can properly F1 then 2 instead of F1 then 22222222222222222222.
I’m not sure if someone has already pointed this annoying thing, but if something immobilizes elementalist with staff, all “1” skills stop working at all.
This is also absolutely ridiculous.

It seems meteor stops doing dmage in the last 3-5 seconds of the animation, stuff is still falling but no damage even if it clearly hits.
So much for the promise of different rules in pvp and pve.
I hate 150% or 200% movement speed zombies depending on how crippling works.
They start moving at a “normal” speed after you apply a 50% movement speed reduction, ridiculous.
Lol is the premature interrupt bug back? Good news, and should also work with ice spike.
The most glaring issue i see is the lack of baseline damage, we can’t “sacrifice” damage to to invest in defensive stats effectively, we basically have to spec full glass cannon to not have laughable damage.
And attunement swapping is crippling the class, we are ridiculously penalized for the mechanic, considering anet doesn’t want/scared/lazy/incompetent to balance it properly.
My god kitten you anet.
What on earth happened here? The design of "Straits of Devastation" is horrible.
