i don’t know, looking at the maguuma’s flying rocks and the thaumanova explosion (caused by messing with leylines despite not being underground in any way) makes me think that height is not much of a factor.
and the lifeblood statement doesn’t change that much either. they could just as easily be on the surface.
The Thaumanova explosion was caused in an Inquest lab deep beneath the surface. All we see in-game is the remnants of the city that the lab was underneath, not the site of the explosion itself.
wait what?
and what about the thaumanova reactor itself, which we went in during the fractured release, and definitely not dug deep underground?
It is dug deep underground, the sky you see in the fractal is just part of how they construct themeselves, so to say. It’s not a 100% exact copy and there’s missing things, which in this case is the ceiling.
To add to the thread, instead of creating a new one:
The living world story’s iconic characters are heading their separate ways for now. Players will meet up with Marjory Delaqua and Kasmeer Meade at The Dead End, where they’ve gathered all available evidence on Scarlet from both recent and past events. More of Scarlet Briar’s character and motivations will be revealed through their investigation as they attempt to figure out her plan and stay ahead of her next move.
In the previous release, The Origins of Madness, players made the acquaintance of Taimi, a tiny Asura progeny who rides a golem named Scruffy and has an unusually cheerful interest in Scarlet’s theories. She also seems to have captured the hearts of quite a few players. Johanson explained that Taimi is an orphan, although ArenaNet isn’t ready to tell the story behind the loss of her parents just yet. She’s been described as the ward of Destiny’s Edge member Zojja; while players won’t find out the details of their relationship in this release, Johanson did mention that Zojja has difficulty handling people who think they’re smarter than she is. And since Taimi, who is technically a student of the Asuran colleges, has decided to ditch school completely and take her education into her own hands, we suspect this might be a point of conflict in the future.
Taimi has already taken a shine to Braham Eirsson (to his dismay). In spite of his grumbling, Braham is softhearted enough to chase after her when she does something really dangerous: Scarlet is sending her Aetherblades to the Edge of the Mists to set the final stage of her plan in motion, and Taimi has followed them.
Devs have stated there will be NO Abaddon. He’s death. Done. Kabutt. No chance at all.
It’s on the top-right corner and middle towards Hidden Lake. Bandit & Seraph activity mainly, so my assumptions went to something related to them. Or Skritt, but that’s unlikely.
There’s no other pieces of wood on the floor that would indicate rotting away and/or falling, though it is pausible they were picked up by someone. But neither do they look like rotting trees; they are, besides those chunks missing, pretty healthy.
Nothing seems to match to the trees diseases PDF I read either.
…
Maybe I’m thinking too much about these trees.
Going across this place, I noticed there were several trees with weirdly-chopped pieces as seen on the screen. I’m not knowledgeable of wood-cutting techniques, so is this something common, or is it something else?
No idea actually, but from my nearly 3K hours since headstart, probably a lot. Tried a couple of times forging swords, or dumping rares I get from missions and world bosses. Nothing so far from the Mystic Toilet of doom.
Though I did get a Venom out of a Dredge Commissar chest, so I guess I got that. Better than nothing, right? (Although, I would’ve preferred to get nothing. It was a bitter lol).
Now I know why I see you all the times I go to Lion’s Arch too. :P
I’d tell you to delve deeper into your argument of why it needs a lot of work, but it’s not the place and neither is it meant for ranting about game mechanics; it is about posting questions for the dev team regarding lore. So please, take it to another thread.
True, both are somewhat speculations from what we can infer given the information we have at hand. Although, seems unlikely the defeat of a champion from one dragon would affect all the other dragons. But, I guess we could have more insight on the whole pre-awakening affair in general.
But I’d rather get much juicier anwers to other questions asked here in their place. :P
@ Vissarion & Rash: this is meant for lore questions, not gameplay mechanics.
Going to help here and answer as much as possible too, with what is known thus far.
I’m sorry if these questions are already answered. I’m not that well versed in the lore and I couldn’t find any information about them.
Question 1: Why did the defeat of the Great Destroyer delay the awakening of Primordus?
Question 2: Did this also delay the awakening of the other Elder Dragons? And if so, why?
Question 3: Is the jungle dragon still asleep? If so, since we know they react to magic, would it be able to awaken if someone was tampering with the ley lines?Bit of a Lore/Gameplay question
With the recent clarification of the Calendar (365 days now over the old 360) What’s the deal with the in-game day/night cycle? Days in-game are over in 3 hours, so we should be passing by years extremely quickly, or is a day/night cycle not considered a full day in Tyria?
Maybe Tyria has several suns and the passing of all of them is one day.
Question 1: It is speculated champions have the role of preparing the coming of their masters by gathering magical energy from corrupting/creating minions. Thus, once the Great Destroyer was… destroyed, we hindered Primordus coming.
Question 2: No, the defeat of the Great Destroyer didn’t affect the awakening of any other Elder Dragon.
Question 3: He has yet not awoken, but his magical energy might be already affecting Tyria; as happened with Jormag’s back in Eye of the North.
(edited by Eluveitie.1290)
Question 2: Are there any plans to put more lore into the LS releases? Getting it in game is much more immersive than reading short stories on the website. The Scarlet story arc has been very sparse lore wise, sometimes amounting to only 1 or 2 lines of lore in a whole release.
There has been plenty more than “a line or two” in every update, even more so in the last patches if you take the time to look for it; there’s a great quantity of lore included, even if some was already known from “What Scarlet Saw”. Definitely it’s something they’re improving with time.
Check my post again for my recent edit!
…that was a great way to implement the backstory and create a more compelling story to the updates.
Thanks for that feedback! I’m very glad to hear you say that. One of our biggest challenges has been too much to do and not enough time. So recently some of the writers, myself included, have started learning how to script scenes. I’ll be immodest and confess that I did both of those. I wasn’t sure how they would received, and I’m still green at scripting (though I’m loving it!).
Based on feedback from the forums, we are actively trying to tell most backstories in the game now instead of via the stories. Although, there are still going to be stories from time to time, like the recent Hobotron one.
Initially we started those in order to add some dimension early on to the main characters (Rox, Braham, Marjory, and Kas). We wanted to test out whether people would respond well to seeing their characters written up in a more flowing fictional medium. Some of you liked it. Some didn’t.
Again, thanks for the kind words.
And we’re loving it too, keep it up!
As with anything, some won’t like it, some will. What’s important is that you enjoy doing it – there are many who will be happy reading your work and the lore team’s here. Personally, I love both forms of presentation, as long as they’re relevant to their purpose.
Anxious to see what’s coming, and once again, thank you for coming here and discussing these topics with us in your free time. Tell anyone from the team they can come over too, we might suffocate them with questions, as you have seen, but it’s our way of showing affection, heh. : )
EDIT: To help you out here, Angel, regarding Konig’s inquery. It is not mentioned in the video about leadership precisely, but a Reddit response from Matthew Medina to a comment.
Video part regarding Molten Alliance, just in case: 21:20.
8. Q: Who are the leaders of the Molten Alliance, in both the dredge and the charr side?
A: There weren’t any “leaders” per se of the Molten Alliance from the flame legion or dredge. The various Berserker and Firestorm champions of the Molten Alliance were created by Scarlet to give each side someone to rally behind, but she was calling the shots and pulling their strings.
Personally, I believe there’s enough motive behind the Flame Legion to rally and agree, with whatever leadership they have left (the last tribunes), to reach their goals rather than being at each other. Dredge are in civil war, as well, but the moletariate remains and still in control of a vast part of them; whatever leaders they have left there must’ve taken the call to join Scarlet in their desperate situation.
(edited by Eluveitie.1290)
She has escaped out from our loving grasp once again.
(edited by Eluveitie.1290)
Angel, good to have you here!
I hope upcoming updates include dialogues as seen on the last at Kessex Hills and Dead End bar, that was a great way to implement the backstory and create a more compelling story to the updates. I do miss the short stories every now and then though. Are we going to see more of them, or are they getting implemented directly to the game in the future?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Stronghold_of_Ebonhawke
The gate has been there since release, I wouldn’t have high hopes for it opening just yet.
I’m really interested on what they’ve on store for Canach, from these answers and this livestream: http://www.twitch.tv/guildwars2/b/494199178 seems like they have something big prepared for his story.
2. Is there any backstory or lore related to the legendary weapons?
It was already said, somewhere, that ArenaNet will be implementing the legendary weapons’ backstory into the game in the near future. How near that future is I don’t know (or if the plan’s been scrapped) though.
- Question 4: Is there a relation between the stone heads around Wychmire Swamp and the colossus we meet at the Cliffside Fractal? In either case, what’re they related to?
To expand on this question: Is there a connection to either of the above and the collosal stone heads found in select places of Ascalon/Shiverpeaks, such as God’s Skull in Fireheart Rise?
- Question 7: Where is Randall Greystone? Did he truly find the gods, wherever they are or did he lose his mind?
FOr that matter, what happened to him? He became transparent with a tint of red – like a ghost, but ghosts are white or blue (in GW2).
Right! Completely forgot about the Ascalon/Shiverpeaks stone heads. Also, good point on Randall Greyston.
Updated my original post with your additions, just in case.
Oooh yes!
- Question 1: Will the Great Collapse plot be expanded upon/explained at some point? What really happened there, if anything, other than what we’re told it was? With the Queen’s Jubilee patch, there was a grand total of nothing covered about it. I would’ve expected an act by Riot Alice, at least, considering what is told to us in that branch of the Personal Story and all the mystery, rumors & apparent cover-up by the Shining Blade.
- Question 2: A tour guide in Divinity’s Reach mentions a “Grand Wizard Garren”; whom designed the gardens at the palace. Could this possibly be a connection to Isgarren and the floating castle? Will this plot be expanded upon? Lore fans have been craving for it since Guild Wars.
- Question 3: Doern Velasquez is heavily implied not to be tyrian, canthan nor elonian, is there anything you can tell us about this?
- Question 4: Is there a relation between the stone heads around Wychmire Swamp and the colossus we meet at the Cliffside Fractal? In either case, what’re they related to? Is there a connection to either of the above and the collosal stone heads found in select places of Ascalon/Shiverpeaks, such as God’s Skull in Fireheart Rise?
- Question 5: Have the Inquest already achieved acquiring the knowledge regarding the Mursaat magic to phase-out, or did we prevent them from doing so in Arah by stopping Operative Brie?
- Question 6: Can Elder Dragons corrupt a minion from another Elder Dragon or “recruit” them? In Crucibly of Eternity we meet Subject Alpha, whom has several corruptions mixed into himself, but is it possible for Elder Dragons to do this naturally?
- Question 7: What happened to Randall Greystone? Did he truly find the gods, wherever they are or did he lose his mind? He became transparent with a tint of red – like a ghost, but ghosts are white or blue (in GW2).
- Question 8: With the update on Southsun this past year, we got new -disturbing- items that don’t seem to be related to the Karka, yet new “tentacles” that appear to be from the same nature, appeared at the hive. Is there a significance to this?
- Question 9: This one is for Colin, if possible:
Cantha?
(edited by Eluveitie.1290)
10. Q: There was a pair of human thieves, trying to sell something dangerous, mentioning someone from the Vigil was getting dangerously close, too. What happened with this plot? Did they steal something from the Pact? From the Zephyrites?
A: These two characters were really just added by one of our writers to give the area some flavor, but maybe we can prompt him to explore these two some more one day. :-)
11. Q: Who created the sanctuary/town where the Zephyrites landed? The architecture is identical to the Zephyr Sanctum, and it’s full of religious references to the Aspects with paintings. Does anyone live here while the Zephyrites are in the air? Do some Zephyrites stay here? The Bazaar of the Four Winds seems to be a separate entity from the Zephyr Sanctum, maybe the Zephyrites hosted it in a town they built specially for the bazaar event?
A: The Bazaar and the Zephyr Sanctum are separate entities, and it’s entirely possible that we could return to the Labyrinthine Cliffs someday without the Zephyrites being there. It’s clear however that the Zephyrites use that area to trade a lot, which is why the areas share so many similarities in their visual appearance. Some Zephyrites have remained on land, and some Tyrians have given up their life on the ground and joined the Zephyrites. There’s definitely some element of symbiosis between the two areas, and yes people live here with or without the Zephyr Sanctum being docked.
12. Q: What are the repercussions of the trade agreement between Lion’s Arch and the Zephyrites? It had no impact at all in the game, wish there was some kind of Zephyrite shop in LA now.
A: Well it helped get Ellen Kiel elected to the Captain’s Council. :-) But I hear what you’re saying, and yes this is one of those areas where many of us on the team wish that we had been able to visually represent the trade agreement in Lion’s Arch somehow. I simply have to chalk this one up as a missed opportunity for us, as we transitioned off of one release and onto another.
PS: I feel like scrapping the speech from the winner was an awful decision. Cutthroat Politics felt so abruptly ended, with no winning ceremony, no speech and no talk between Kiel and Evon. A: Yes, this was really unfortunate. It always pains us when we author content and then it gets left on the development room floor. I take full responsibility for this, because this was on my plate to implement and coordinate with the next team’s release (that content would have to be hooked up in their release stream), but something else of higher priority always ended up landing on my plate, and before I knew it, it was time to ship.
I’ll leave this here for now, and might have time to answer a bit more later.
In case you see this, Matthew: thank you! Hope to see more interaction between you (and any other lore master from ArenaNet) and us in the future. We’re pretty passionate about it.
: )

Hey Lon-Ami, good questions here! This is Matthew Medina, one of the content designers at Arenanet. I don’t have my dev tag here on Reddit, but some of these have been answered though maybe need some additional clarity as the answers could have easily been missed, and some are new, but let me try and shorten your list somewhat with what I know I can say.
1. Q: What did Canach’s expedition exactly do to enrage the karka?
A: They were simply there at the wrong place at the wrong time. The karka are territorial at all times, but when they actually have a colony led by an Ancient, they’re even more aggressively so, which is why the Consortium landing on Southsun Cove when they did set off the response from the karka colony there. With the Ancient gone, the colony has broken up and the karka that remain on Southsun are largely disorganized. This information was conveyed, perhaps poorly, during the Lost Shores weekend event.
2. Q: When did the karka arrive to Southsun Cove?
A: This is unknown. What we have said during the Lost Shores weekend was that Southsun, prior to the deal the Consortium struck to develop the territory, was pretty much unexplored and mired for years in various land deals and red tape.
3. Q: What was the expedition searching? Just safe territory that was no man’s land during the risen presence on the Sea of Sorrows? Or they were after the karka for some sinister reason?
A: They weren’t really searching for anything, the Consortium was literally looking to build a resort there to make money for the company and compete with Lion’s Arch for trade and tourism.
4. Q: Why did Canach corrupt and enrage the karka to screw up the Consortium? Even if he has kind of a weird moral, taking a torch and burning the contracts himself is faster, easier and kills no innocents. We know he was there in Molten Weapons Facility (hate how they didn’t include him with a hood or something, even in the fractal would have been a good reference), so he does care about innocents and the refugees. Is this because the karka had a role in the Consortium’s plan?
A: Canach is…complicated. We’ll be returning to him in due time, but for now, all I will say is that Canach’s intentions don’t often lead to the results he wants.
5. Q: How and why did Canach join the Consortium? Was he employed by his skills on chemistry? Was his later corruption of the local fauna related to the skills the Consortium wanted out of him in the first place?
A: Canach’s expertise on matters like botany and alchemy were certainly boons to him being selected by the Consortium for their plans. As to why Canach would seek such a position, I’ll again have to defer that question since we’ll be returning to Canach again.
6. Q: Who are the leaders of the Consortium? For an organization operating in the middle of Lion’s Arch, and at a pretty decent size, the Captain’s Council surely wouldn’t leave this unanswered.
A: Good question, and one I can’t answer other than to simply say the Consortium is a private company. Very private. What the Captain’s Council knows or does not know about the Consortium is Captain’s Council business. ;-)
7. Q: In line with the previous question, the bases of the Molten Alliance were present only across the conflict region, or further, too? (Conflict region = Wayfarer Foothills and Diessa Plateau)
A: The molten weapon facilities were limited to the areas you saw during the Flame and Frost content. They didn’t extend further, largely thanks to the many heroes of Tyria. :-)
9. Q: The notes of the Order of Whispers agent (Who we never get to meet, wasted opportunity) mention horrors underground. What horrors? His tone and wording made it sound like terrible monsters or terrible dark rituals. They say it’s worse than dredge or charr, too. Maybe the Moletariate destroyer-enslavement project went further with the help of the Flame Legion? (Remember they were involved with destroyers 250 years ago) Maybe new monsters? Maybe new creations by Scarlet?
A: Sadly this is probably just down to poor communication on our part. This was meant to be a reference to the various pairings of flame and dredge throughout the release, and specifically an attempt on our part to foreshadow the Berserkers and Firestorms. We don’t meet the Order of Whispers agent because they’re ninja like that.

@ Konig
Fyonna simply transforms into the spider, and can switch back to her normal form again, and then again to spider form. So she’s probably just using transformation magic to attain such form at will.
Little bump bumpy.
I highly doubt they are working together. While Scarlet is a villian, Canach is a self-proclaimed hero and not evil per se.
But one might have had influence upon the other in some way. Maybe Scarlet based her toxins on Canach’s, or maybe Canach “found” the toxins when in reality Scarlet was behind it to test them out.
Southsun still has some open plots to expand on.
Since the guy arguing about moles in Tyria, you can never be too careful. :P
Gargoyles and Tengu don’t add up due to geography. Giants don’t have these structures anywhere near them either, but was a worthwhile suggesstion. I’ll stop guessing for now until I get in-game, heh.
Precisely so, they were made inaccessible to prevent anyone from easily pillaging the content. Grawl seem unlikely due to locations and that they’re not known for making structures as such.
Still haven’t had the chance to go check it out, but…
In any case, what we’re looking at is definitely:
1) A species that has been in Ascalon, Shiverpeaks and Maguuma.
2) They use paint.
3) They possess tools, and means to reach high heights.
I’ve been thinking Giants might be a posibility. They seem to match the above criteria.
First time I see/hear of these structures. I will go check them out, but until I get to do that, from what I can infer through the picture… it seems like supplies deposits.
In Perú, ancient civilizations, like the Inkas, used to do this exact type of “windows” on mountains. They would store supplies there on certain seasons and retrieve them later once they were needed.
I don’t see from that picture any tunnel like structure, so I doubt it’s a creature’s home or transport system. Rather seems like a small cavity on the wall, where you can put something inside it. Which leads me to my other alternative: ceremonial / deity sculptures to be set on the “windows”.
I will further comment upon analyzing them myself.
P.S. You would save me time if you actually tell me where in Mt. Maelstrom. My first character global completion was rather uncaring and fast a year ago. Currently on the process of a second completion, heavily more paced and lore focused.
(edited by Eluveitie.1290)
Didn’t finish Merc Camp Vanisher and now it shows on the nearly completed list. I believe this was not suppossed to happen with past achievements? Is it a bug and getting fixed or is it intended?
I see, makes sense. Just wanted to make sure because usually they remove achievements on patch days.
Thank you!
I would doubt Scarlet was directly behind it – or knowingly herself. Canach destroyed some Molten Facilities and that would kind of annoy her, I’d presume, at least as much as us ruining her ‘fun’ during Queen’s Jubilee.
It should’ve annoyed her we destroyed her facilities too, but she kinda seemed amused. I don’t think she cares at all about her facilities, she already got what she wanted out from them by the time we come ride along – or she gets what she wants once we do.
There are some similarities between both toxic substances that could very well come down to the same source, not necessarily Scarlet made them, but she could’ve found a specimen and then experimented on it for her purposes. Southsun could’ve been an amusing thing to see for her. All the chaos, fighting amongst factions and whatnot.
Or it could be something completely apart; as is SAB, Tequatl, Zephyrites and the Consortium. At least they seem to be so far. I’m really hoping they delve more into those areas, and maybe connect them in an interesting way. After all, they did say there’s a thread that connects everything in each update.
Huh, I misunderstood you.
Thought when you said “Chaos Energy/Magic” you meant if he released one or the other (if I’m not too rusty on my lingüistics understanding “/” means “or” and that’s why I thought you were asking about two different things). And thus, I gave the answer that he did release magic, but not chaos actually.
But on to your question, what people have claimed this and what’s their source? I imagine they must have gotten the idea out of somewhere. If they don’t have any, they most likely just made it up themeselves.
(edited by Eluveitie.1290)
Does it end the 5th or 6th? I saw mention it was delayed when it began and extended one day because of it (I was travelling at the time, so not sure).
Also, do achievements go away that day, or on patch on tuesday? The league can end and thus no more scores, but I’m not sure the same applies to achievements?
Thank you!
P.S. I’m not an entirely PvE kitty looking to only do achievements, I’ve contributed on my server doing WvW stuff and have gotten quite a taste for it, so looking forward to continuing forming part of the WvW community.
My bad, saw the list at the side and didn’t see it was “related”. The point stand though, it has no meaning until it’s in-game, if it ever is.
The files are from that_shaman, a prominent data-miner in reddit, so I have no doubts it’s legit. But Anet tends to make dialogues, even record them, and not use them for whatever reason. They might one day, they might not. They hold no meaning whatsoever because we don’t know if they’ll ever be implemented.
He did release magic upon his death, which then was taken by Kormir in order to ascend to goodhood.
“Later, the players reunite with her in Nightfallen Jahai. The players then storm the Gates of Pain and Madness before reaching Abaddon’s Gate. The weakened god is chained and destroyed, and as his unbound magics spiral out of control, Kormir, using the gift the gods gave her in the Temple of the Six Gods, runs into and absorbs it, thus preventing the world from being destroyed. In the process, she usurps his position as god and becomes the Goddess of Truth.”
It’s what Canach used to make the wildlife of Southsun Cove go crazy and super-aggressive. You can even see the back piece’s pollen effect around the wildlife NPCs with the “Crazed” buff – which now only appear during certain events, iirc.
Oh, of course. I just thought you meant there was something I missed specifically related to the back piece.
Now that you mention it though, maybe it was a prototype to what became the toxic pollen nowadays? I wouldn’t be surprised Scarlet was somehow behind this too and would make sense.
Huh, I thought this was common knowl- well, theory by now. It’s plausible it was infused with Mordremoth’s draconic energy at some point, but what makes me wonder is how do they spread said corruption or how was it spread to them in the first place?
In Thaumanova could be because they experimented on it, or it could have been randonmly ported there. But how did the one at Queensdale get there? How did it get corrupted? What was its purpose?
Probably missed something back then, what’s the deal with the Fervid Censer?
Not to mention that for being an underground facility, it sure has a lot of sky sights. But fractals are not exact replicas, so I’ll let that pass.
This would give a lot of people peace of mind, Bobby, I hope you respond: is the end of Scarlet’s arch already on its way? It’s been a year almost. No offensse, but honestly no one cares anymore about her, we just want to end it and move on with more interesting things. We’re frustrated and kittened off. A lot, myself included, don’t even care about playing anymore.
Those are not signs of a happy community, nor of an interesting and compelling story.
You do not speak for the community. And you certainly don’t speak for me. So please stop spouting the same, tired complaints. They have been said many times before. The team is constantly on the forums, evaluating the feedback.
Further, the way that the story is told is partly a design issue as well. The writers can come up with a captivating story, but if it’s paced incorrectly throughout the updates (based on how the designers want to implement it), then we have hiccups or unnecessary stalls.
Feel free to not include yourself in what I bolded. I am part of the community and see how the majority of it feels towards this every day, so I will say what I think and I will voice out my opinion if I want to. Never said I spoke for it, nor that I spoke for you.

…
I never said you said that. Perhaps you should try re-reading the posts in this thread. All of mine, specifically, since you seem to be responding to a very skewed version of what my posts are saying.
And compounded words like Moletariate do not count, suffice it to say, because I was talking about the animal being mentioned or not.
His response was towards me.

Believe what you want. You’re too stubborn and can’t grasp simple logic. Not wasting any more time on this.
(edited by Eluveitie.1290)
They look like moles in our perspective. They relate to the concept of proletariate per how their society works. However, they are NOT moles from a Tyrian perspective because they don’t exist as such in Tyria. It’s a playword from Anet with a comic degree, nothing else.
“Pro” means one thing, “letariate” means nothing. Your logic is that “pro” means “human” when it does not. You can’t butcher the word and argue that because they replaced “pro” with “mole” it means “mole working class people in a mole mount/warren complex.” Tyria knows no moles. They know Dredge.
Anyhow, new topic:
In the recent livestream, it was said we take the role of an Inquest infiltration team.
(edited by Eluveitie.1290)
I would’ve to search for the topic again, but it was from a data-mining post, but no one mentioned it is a data-mined dialogue. Could be the case though, they always leave non-used dialogues there.
Anyway, guess I’ll have to keep trying to find Braham and Rox on the events.
“I’m forced to admit I was wrong. Our krait allies have proven most useful after all. Scarlet may not be part of our court, but she does dream big. Just look at what we’ve built together: this great delirium engine, this collector and amplifier of all of Tyria’s deepest terrors. Yes. It’s almost too bad we’ll be shedding our alliance once we have what we want. Almost.
I still don’t trust the nightmare plants, but our alliance with them has delivered nearly everything Scarlet promised us. We’ve ascended from the deeps to earn the sky itself with our holy sacrifices. Our prophet’s arrival is imminent. Soon all of Tyria will be strangled in our coils. "
Someone posted that on reddit, I knew him from my previous guild, so I know it’s a trusted source. And apparently couple of others have seen that quote as well, which leads me to believe there’s another dilogue, besides the one we have seen.
As to Braham and Rox, there was a screenshot circling around showing them in an offshoot event (open world), with several others confirming it. Seems to be random locations.
I’ve heard Braham and Rox appear at the offshoot events, however so far, I haven’t had the chance to see them. Does anyone have the dialogue, if there’s any, that they offer?
Also, I’ve heard there’s two dialogues in the tower finale, one where the Nightmare Court discusses the alliance and one where the Krait do. Haven’t had the chance to get the Krait one, does anyone have that one as well?
Yay for hiding what little lore they offer.
I will still hold my doubts until the next update, something tells me it’s not just Scarlet behind all this. Plus, I still need to find 50g since I didn’t think this was a serious bet when I offered the money. :P
Been more off than on lately; between going off town, college and girlfriend I’ve had little time, so not sure if it has been defined what exactly means “Scarlet’s involvement” in this bet. She’s involved in some way, for sure, but perhaps not as extensive as it might appear to be.

The creature behind Scarlet closely resembles a Margonite:

Six eyes, something that appears to be wings on the back; but sorrounded by what looks like leaves, roots, thorns, etc.
