I think all that blood magic need is siphon/healing working in DS and better healing scaling of siphons. I think traits are well designed, just counterproductive. As for deathmagic, tier 3 needs better trait, somehing that would support boon usage (hence the boon duration).

Thats what you get if there are lazy develpoers who dont care about reading report tickets (for leavers and stuff) and just make lazy system to hard punish everyone and call it fix. Yeah lately servers acting crap. Had many games where almost all or all had huge lag, delay and even 10 player dc.

I do agree with Vingador that necro needs little more sustain, but on other hand necros can be op vs certain sepcs (like condi engi) and this would make it even more op. What i see the problem is also aoe passive or numberless cleansing on other proffesions and sustain afterwards (aka celestial, which should fix next balance patch), making condi necro not so usefull. Like said, some tweaks would be usefull, maybe sustain but on other side i would sacrifice/nerf/remove trait that increase 50% fear duration.

Usualy there are not macro users just players with quick fingers or even players what dont understand class mechanics.

If you meet enemy player in pvp that plays like he just started pvp or just bad and litteraly every dodge he do, is perfect dodgejump …. than i have my suspicion. And i meet alot of ppl like that Beside if you just search on nonofficial forums there you will find many ppl that claim using that macro.

Happened here too, both all my team and enemy team dc-ed at same time. Proof of poop anet servers.

But chating while internet conection is “gone” is not so uncomon. I have poor internet signal and it fluctuate alot, so sometimes i get so low conection that it dc me but i can still write in chat (probably because connection is still there, just not so strong to run whole game).

I find much more potential in condi necro for siphon than power. I used my build top 100 solo q and top 300 team q and actualy did nice.

I cant say of actual healing numbers but once you try it you can realy notice the increased “sustain”. With condis you can just LoS them and wait for condis to regenerate hp. Also dmg on fear is nice healing boost. Eventho it doesnt work while in ds i think it is not sooooo bad (/) as some ppl might think. And yeah the fight vs eles is harder (or i played it poop vs them :p).

Mobility would surely make us rotate easyer but i dont think it would help us much, other than delaying what should happen for 1-2 sec. I think that because of our poop auto attacks (as condi necro). I experianced many times if not every time against warrior/engi/ele/guardian/ranger (against thief and other necro is also problem but little different) that if i stop using my spells and do just autoattacks, my previously applied condis, on them, will be removed quickly either by their short duration or by passive cleanses and they will start regenerating their hp faster than you can deal dmg with autoattacks, eventhough our scepter has poison.

So yeah i think autoattacks need some work on and staff 1 could do also like 1 bleed. Other problems i see in long casting time, 3/4 sec is too much. For what? For a cripple and 2 bleeds (if you fighting 1v1 this gives you almost the same dmg as if you would do autoattacks, jsut that this tends to be dodged or missed easyer)? And classes with many dodges and (random?) blinds can, if played good, realy counter every spell we can cast. There are far more dangerous spells with shorter casting times. And as condi necro i see also problem in lf generating. Without doing something radical i would just lower cd on scepter 3 to something like 4 sec so it can be used more frequently and increase its power ratios for some hybrid builds and it should give some lf even if no condis are on target.

Edit: But on other hand i also think that some spell animation necro has, looks to similar to one another. Maybe they could clean also that up if we get shorter casting times on those spells.

Problem with engis isnt that the necro hardcounters them, but that they dont know how to play against necro or at least they dont want to change their tactics/adjust build (which requires from them very high skill cap). And having just healing turret to remove condis and than flame necro how op it is ….. So necro isnt hardcounter to engi, its just hard fight for them and distinguish the good from the bad.

And fighting other proffesions as necro it mostly depends on skill (tho i think no condi necro can kill rom 1v1 warrs op condi removals) but i think the necromancer is designed in a way that if you do a mistake (which can also be random and not just because bad necro skill) it is more punishable than for example ele. Due to ofc longer casting times and some longer cooldowns and no sustain. And it is easyer to get hit by random blinds and that kind of stuff and this way you can loose alot of potential.

I am still not home to test this but could it be that Deathly Swarm has a cast time of 1/4 second as opposed to the other skills have 3/4 second cast time – The fact that deathly swarm is faster and has less of a “wind-up” probably makes it get cancelled by slower skills… gonna have to test when I get home

It is not just swarm. I tried it with every utility or elite or weapon skill that has cast time.

An opponent who knows how to fight Necros won’t have a problem with a few large marks. If you can’t hit someone with small marks, you should work on aiming, although I do admit it’s easier with bigger marks.

Its not only about being easyer to hit target. With small marks you litteraly waste skill if you try to hit stealth target (not just thieves), with bigger marks you have also bigger staff range, with bigger marks you can hit ppl behind object or hiding behind pillars …. You need to see bigger picture.
And about condi clear on thieves when stealth … usualy you fight him before and unload some conditions on them so they cant just clear all condis off while stealth if you hit them with marks and they might kill him if low health.

It might not be directly linked to the discusion but its an important fact if you want to realy evaluate dhuumfire vs “terror”.

You’re saying Feast of Corruption interrupts any skill currently being casted? Including utilites or just weapon skills? Heal and Elite?

Guess I would have to test this but I never truly noticed

It interrupts everything except healing skills. Yeah i also didnt notice until last 2 weeks :P. Thats why it might be new bug, maybe came with lasst story that was aproximately 2 weeks ago (when we got staff projectile speed increase and that stuff if i remember correctly). First i thought i was doing something wrong like not facing the target but aperantly that wasnt an issue.

No, only this skill interupt others (from all the necro spells beside healing ones). And also for no good reason. And i tested: press once scepter 2 and while casting press once scepter 3. Its not about queue more than 1 spell. Litteraly no other spell do this, why would than this one do it?

Narkodx: other spells also have casting but dont interrupt each other, so i dont understand what are you trying to say?
And i know whats going on its just when miliseconds matter and you want to cast each spell as soon as possible/right after another, you can easily self interrupt.

Feast of Corruption interrupts every necro spell that has casting time and isnt healing spell, instead of waiting for spell to finish its casting. Dont remember if this is new bug or is there since forever, but it started to bug me recently since i self interupted every dagger 4, making me loose or made fights harder than they should be (since i use it usualy just after dagger 4 for best lf/dmg value).

This is huge in fights where every move/miliseconds matter (speaking mostly for tPvP) and its very gameberaking.

Also dont forget the necro has veeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyy long casting times. So when you get out of cc and the enemy is still feared by RP, you could maximum do 1-2 auto attacks (2 bleeds) or cast 1 mark (also depends how long cc on you was or Hoelbrak runes :p), which isnt realy much (if the fear actualy happen). Plus the necro is strongest in closer range, but fear is pushing ppl away from that.
And i dont believe fear chain is a thing in higher rated fights since you mostly waste your cc on that chain but if it fails to kill the target (which mostly do) you are left with no cc to interupt oponent heals or special stuff or to do a finishing blow. RP usualy trigers more at begining of fight and if you want to follow up with fear chain you will just waste your fears. Only time fear chain would be viable is if fight last long and your fears come off cooldown faster than oponents stubreak/immunity/condi cleanse (but those usualy go off cd faster or aproximately sameish time), or if you fight bad pplz with bad builds, or you join outnumbered fight where enemy already wasted their skills …. but in this case the RP would do abolutely nothing.

Yes prety much … it provided itself the only way of survival many times + if you heal and teleport, they cant interupt it. Or you can use it on khylo to get fast too clocktower. Or if they outnumber you can easily use it to disengage. See, many uses.

Why do you need burning? 0/6/4/0/4 is much better than 6/4/0/0/4. Dark path is much better to deal with boons and celestial pplz, than waiting for chill of death to happen. You dont need burn. Warrior has burn, engi has burn, ele has burn, guardian has burn …. one of the most comon proffesions in tpvp …. just use transfer condition wih staff 4 or dagger 4 and profit. The only thing better of 6/4/…. is longer condi duration, but with some profesions with many passive condi clears or immunity, in my opinion, isnt much that big deal.

As for Reaper protection, i agree with flow … i would take greater marks any day. With RP you get what? One fear on cc with 60 sec cd, that can fail if hit stability, imunity, blind (so yeah if this happens … it is useless)? Dont forget that fear can also be removed with condi removal spells not just stunbreakers. With greater marks you get bigger marks making easyer to hit stealth targets, fast moving targets or to put more preasure in teamfights. With unblockable thing you can hit engi trough toolkit, interupt/poison guardian heal or those aegis boons or warrior blocks. This would otherwise be miss and also much dmg/cd loss. And probably i even forgot few uses. Not to mention that you can use it 24/7.

In preview of finishers you cant see that. I assumed the crows come when you end finishing move, like every other finisher. Its just friendly warnning so ppl dont waste gems like i did.

And sorry Shaogin, my friend, this is not pve where you can perfectly time your skills. Since the patch that combined the runes, its anet responsibility to fix properly runesets, since we cant change that ourselves as we could before. I wont say that 6th bonus is weak or bad in certain situation, but in current state its completely broken.

Scarecrow finisher is the worst pvp finisher ever, since it starts when you start casting finisher and the crows blurr downed player anmiations, specialy if they are smaller and it also gives away your stealth stomps. Probably anet will never change that so beware before buying it.

As for vampire runes. The 6th bonus must change. I play necro and if i want to heal, while low health, it interupts the heal (it even gets longer cooldown). If i am in plague form it cancles plague form …. For pvp this is unacceptable so please fix that. Other than that the runes are good. It should let you finish cast of spell you started before and it should wait till you come out of plagueform/transformation. This atm makes Vrunes in pvp completely unplayable.
In good old days you could just replace 2/1 rune and problem would be fixed ….

Maybe the problem isnt that they got nerfed too hard or that they arent viable anymore but, that, one specific proffesion can do similar role as war but better("cough"ele"cough"). If thats the case they should tone down that proffesion instead of buffing war.

In my opinion its too much self might stacking/might too long duration in some cases and too much passive condi cleanse (every proffesion but necro, not just ele). I think ele is the strongest violator of those two, thats why he is considered the most op atm. Some could argue about engis … but problem there are turrets.

Well i kind of understand this, since there were situation while playing necro when i also experianced all of this. But i dont think because of frustration but more because necro might be easy profesion for enemies to exploit its weakneses. In my opinion, because, we are the class built around bellow average action mobility and sustain (ds might refear to tankiness not sustain) and very long casting times, while having one of the easyest heal to interupt.
Not saying we are the worst proffesion. There were many times i felt like necro is as balanced as any proffesion. But because of reasons above, there were also many situations/times when i thought wtf is anet doing with this proffesion.

Just saying that balance of necro atm is situational. Which might indicate poor proffesion design.

After they made soloq as its now my first time i came top 100 was using power necro, but when i came to 100 i noticed my power necro severly lacking vs good players and couldnt advance. Ofc it could be also just the lack of my skill on playing power necro or some poorly made build. Later i switched back to condition necro (didnt like condi while they had op dhuumfire) and could do better while in the top 100.
So in my opinion power necro is viable to get in top 100 but higher rank you have, it decreases more than condi necro. Yeah i am also prety sad. Instead of improving some realy underused/weak spells/traits like siphon line, giving us ability to get healed in DS, reducing some cast times, increase lf genration with scepter. Oh and now also people can easyly dodge corrupt boon x.x . And i think only decent change was with axe and main hand dagger. Spectral armour buff was nice but totaly not needed.

They should more separate pvp game and develpoers from normal game. The feature patch, that made us closer to pve players with gold and glory removal, was step backward. Maybe even separate gem store (with gems and glory prices) so that those devs should care more for pvp and doing everything they can to make money out of it, not like now.

Getting heals/siphions while in ds isnt matter if we need buff or not. This mechanic should be standard and if would be too strong they should balanced us somewhere else. Its just lame that many traits and spells (regen, siphion and other players aoe heals) are not working with our core mechanic.

This build is very viable for tPvP (top eu lb ranking pvp), no worse than classical condi or power builds. Too bad not many ppl know about it, but it does require little more skill than regular ones.
So yeah we do have viable hybrid build for pvp.

Thanks Pelopidas … but was thinking more about based on what enemies you face, what team composition you have/what roll you take (treb/close/mid….) and that kind of stuff. Like waiting before match start and thinking which build of those would benefit me more this game (xxx build works more if your team is bunkersih or doesnt have guardian bunker, yyy build works better if enemy have 2+wars ….. basic stuff like thiis :p)

Hey i am from eu and experiance the same/similar thing. Sometimes i get small lag spikes but sometimes unplayable lag delay all the time and few disconects in the end. And it also started around 2 weeks ago. My internet works fine on other things, so must be on anet side. Before it ran perfectly and i can also say my cables/provider is working normaly.

I do only PvP and i cant afford all that gold for even just 1 profesion x.x . The trait system is bad or they should at least give you those traits via track rewards, or i am prety useles going to pve side (but pve person is not when going pvp). That money/gold rewards the pvp players got was hoax since they introduced much more money sinks and i do pvp daily and lacking money….

What about if condis do direct damage if aplied to 25 stacked target? For example if necro auto attacks bleed on target that already has 25 bleed, he instead do whole damage the bleed would do over time as instant direct damage?

Hey, i am trying to learn ele and want to try s/d. Have one question, for burst, main burst spells are fire 3 and 4 + arcane skills + teleport beside earth 5? And when you try to burst someone down you try to use all of them in random order or some spells have priority?
