an invulnerable zone 240 units wide would be great on waypoints.. when i wp i like to alt tab out of the loading screen but sometimes i come back in and theres mobs attacking me or have killed me.

if you dont want players abuse it make it so you cant deal damage from inside the zone either.

such a small zone should prevent players from accidentally entering it when fighting nearby mobs while allowing players to port in safely.

Well it sure would be fun but as i said it would be harder to balance things out, so the chances for it are slim.

Also lets not use the “viable” or “valid” terms, cause in gw2 they are not facts but pure opinions, as not everyone have the same idea about usefullnes of skills/utilities/traits.

league of legends have 114 champions each with more than one possible build. thats atleast 230 different builds fairly balanced.

guilds wars has a total of about 20 different builds that work in high level pvp for their classes combined. this is one of the reason tpvp is kind of stale. youre playing the SAME thing over, and over, and over. and if you want to try something new or different you end up failing because there 20~ builds that work are just simply the best.

you dont see necros going for lifesteal builds because it just doesnt work.

you dont see gaurdians going for condition builds and the ones that do arent as effective as a support/bunker gaurdian

high lvl rangers are always using spirits or traps

warriors have a grand total of 3 or 4 effective builds in tpvp

if we really want esports coverage (which id really like)

we need a LOT of new ways to build the classes we already have, or a LOT of new classes.

no one wants to watch the same (or close to same) team comp game after game after game. its just plain boring. theres no interest to people running the same build over and over and over.

Here’s another silly example: your friend is trying to get with some girl and he needs a wingman for her sister – he tells you the sister is awesome but then you go on a double date and have a horrible time koz it turns out she’s a complete cow.
You ask a salesman if this watch is waterproof – he lies and says it is, and then after you buy it it breaks when you really needed it underwater.
“Sure this food’s kosher!” No it isn’t.

There are other little kids they could play with. The sister would be a great catch for someone. Not everyone needs a waterproof watch. Most people aren’t Jewish. Okay so you missed what he said, which was that an inspect system would lead to only a handful of people doing CoF, CoE, and Arah, and they would then sell the berserker’s armour at ridiculously inflated prices to anyone who wanted to have “perfect” gear.

yea i missed that part. i just saw him say that you couldnt sell dungeon armor and i assumed the guy he was talking to was also telling him that he could “sell” the dungeon armor (salavage and sell the ectos) and thats when i replied

anet did open the way for more builds, just not enough builds. imagine watching league of legends streams where they could only pick from 20~ champions. thats how it is in gw2 right now because there only 20~ viable builds for all the classes combined.

if we could get 100+ viable builds id have SO much more fun

this might involve more classes or level cap increase but when we can have THAt many options for playstyles the fun level would just shoot up imo

itd be much faster farming gold to buy the orichalcum than it would be to collect it…

sometimes when im fighting i move my cursor to the side of the screen, right click, and drag so my camera turns but i end up clicking into my mini map and dragging it instead of turning my camera.

can we get a lock button thatll lock the mini map on your spot and if you right click into the map and drag youll turn your camera and not move the mini map?

and if you do do this, add a hotkey thatll let us unlock when we hold the hotkey down and then lock it up when we stop pressing the hotkey. and then also make this hotkey a press down, or toggle option so that users who prefer can just toggle it.

they already have one mount and more likely to come but dont expect them to change your travel speed

you can buy wvw superior blueprints with them and also certain exotics need them to be made.

when gw2 is my active window my razer megalodon control box dims down and shuts off for a couple seconds and then comes back on. this happens about every 5 – 10 seconds constantly and the only way to fix it is to make gw2 sounds go through my tv speakers instead.

some racials are very weak and do not have any synergy with any class whatsoever at all due to them being much much better options available for every other class.

I’m afraid you’re missing the point. Racials have too many possible combinations with other classes to ever balance them properly. As it is Radiation Field is really strong with certain builds, giving an unfair advantage to asura when playing a class vs class duel.

If they buffed more racial skills this would be even worse. Racials are meant to be slightly weaker to avoid problems like all rangers being charr because of some crazy synergy with ranger traits and charr racials.

They’ve specifically said they don’t want people to build around racial skills, they’re just there for a bit of flavour.

im not saying buff the already viable racials. im saying buff the racials that are weak right now.

i dont want anyone looking at what build i have. i do not like the feeling of people copying me without me being able to do anything about it.

I just do not know why it would be so fun just to roam in a group of 5 or so and maul single players trying to complete the puzzle. Especially when they do not even fight back. What thrill is that anyways? To me show some honor and intregrity and if it looks like someone is just trying to complete the puzzle and nothing else, let them go. these 3 tried ganking my warrior at the top of obsidian sanctum

keep in mind these were all actually level 80s, one was a thief, engineer, and warrior and they got solod (at the same time) by 1 warrior

Funny, I do not know any of these guilds, and I’m always in WvW. They are probably just trolls giving us a bad name. Thanks for killing them.

Also, it goes both ways. I too had problems with DB camping the kite, and killed them with my upleveled warrior.

the warrior even tried using his vengeance to try to res the dead (not downed) engineer

Last week, when we had the Aetherblade Chest, Ehrmy Bay was with Yak’s Bend and Kaineng. While I went after the chest alone, I ended up in a group of 5 Yak’s Bend doing along the thin ruined walls. Not a single YBer attacked me, nor did I attack them. Later, near the end, I ran into another group of 5 YBers. Again, not a single one attacked.

I guess it has to do with the makeup of players. EB has always respected YB as a server and players (some of our best battles are against YB). Apparently, YB is the same. My exposure in OS has been one of respect in players trying to get the puzzle done. Interesting to note that there are some servers who do not respect players.

Many have to remember that with the exception of World Completion and OS jumping puzzles, may players are just PvE. Perhaps we should show some respect so we could perhaps convince some PvE players to give PvP a try.

A server does not make up one player though. theres plenty of players on every server whod rather push you off the ledge and see you die than politely let you get across
