well i suppose if you are running full zerker with no condi removals like a total scrub yea you will get kittenin rekt by conditions.
l2build vit against conditions
Sadly you’re wrong.
It’s – "ping zerker gear or kick " from now on. No longer does the current dps of a party afford to carry slackers.this^
less damage – zerk more viable.
classes like necro/engi/ranger – no no, only high dps classes – thief war ele
if before patch i wasnt care about party gear or classes, play how you want – i have enough dmg to cover your ptv/bearbow kitten . now I care, i dont want to carry ptv/cleric/bearbow etc.in other words – zerk or kick.
you guys sound like you are upset at anet and now you want to rebel against them by doing the thing they didnt want you to do. like little kids.
Sadly you’re wrong.
It’s – "ping zerker gear or kick " from now on. No longer does the current dps of a party afford to carry slackers.
As if its impossible to do a dungeon without everyone in zerker gear….
The animation for the ele scepter 1 skill while in flame atunement simply just needs a better animation. throwing your hand into the sky and looking at the sky to light someone on fire is like wtf are you doing ele.
ele should be looking at target and hand gesture should be towards the target not the the sky.
a rant about something that isnt really a big deal but, cmon, you can do better than that.
They have years worth of story planned. they said so in one of their interviews. If they just chucked all of their big, interesting story moves at us one right after another, they would quickly run out of story to give us.
as in 1 week an elder dragon destroys this town, and already in the next week another elder dragon destroys half the world, and then the next week the old gods return and save us all, do you see how fast theyd burn out of story to give us?

“prime time” is going to be irrelevant thanks to the new megaserver system. Maybe you should apply more logic and less reading. Just sayin
You just suggested for someone to read less.. ie be less informed? That would be the opposite action someone would do if they wanted to utilise logic whilst discussing a topic. So, sorry, but your retort doesn’t quite fly. :P
Please go read the blog post about the mega servers and world bosses. It is located here: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/the-megaserver-system-world-bosses-and-events/ An important part to the discussion:
“Hard-Core, Mega-Organized Events—(Thanks for naming this, Colin.) This classification currently includes Tequatl, the Great Jungle Wurm, and the Karka Queen. Since these events require the greatest amount of organization between players, they all occur within a three-hour window that begins approximately every eight hours. This is weighted towards regional prime times.”
Instead of these bosses (aside from karka) spawning every two hours which let every single area around the world regardless of timezones pick a time which suited them best (multiple timezones spanning the US and EU, plus the Oceanic areas), these bosses will now spawn 3 times a day. We’ve been told that these times have been weighted toward regional prime times, but unfortunately they’ve missed the mark regarding most of the EU. Also humans as a whole tend to follow standard times for work, eating and sleeping, which means that yes, a “prime time” does in fact exist. Megaservers have nothing to do with this facet of human life. I’ve also already explained to you why the mega guilds will not have the ability to spawn these bosses at the time most convenient for their members.
This is why people are asking for the frequent spawning as we currently have to be kept in place so that it is convenient for the vast majority of people around the world. That would go a long way to solving some of the problems that the megaserver will create.
edit regarding your edit: So you think nobody new is joining guild wars 2 Because that what it sounds like youre saying here.
I would never expect to experience an established fight as a new one in any game when joining nearly two years after the games release, unless I was in an instance with only people who had never experienced the fight. This may be an unfortunate thing, but to expect otherwise is sadly unreasonable. But this is off topic, so I shall not be continuing this aspect of the discussion with you.
I said more logic less reading because knowledge is useless if you don’t apply what you know so yea, it kind of does “fly” Not that it matters. Not an arms race of witty comments, which it feels like you think it is.
And like I said before you don’t know how well the sorting of guildmates is going to work yet. so crying about it isn’t necessary at the moment.
And you continue to suggest that there aren’t any players left in the whole world who are going to learn the fights. Someone could have joined 2 weeks ago, or a month ago, or 2 months ago, and they will be heading to these things for the first time to learn the fight. Just because you and your guild knows it already, doesn’t mean everyone else does, or don’t deserve to learn them since they havne’t already been playing for 2 years.
However I see you are completely unreasonable to debate with. you think everything you say is fact as if it is set in stone already. No one can argue with someone like you. I may or may not be right regarding my views, however I wont sit here and act like i’m 100% certain that I am right, nor act like that I’m 100% certain that you are wrong, unlike some people here. So bye.

The system isnt even out yet and you already think you know exactly how its going to be.
“Yet ANet isn’t making the system conducive to organising said challenges.” how can you say that when you dont even know how well their placement system is going to work?
To me this sounds more like a “I DON’T LIKE CHANGE” thing at the moment.
Not saying definitively that there wont be a problem, but from the way people learn how to farm trains and dungeons so efficiently, my guess is that it might not be as efficient as guilds who do it daily, but I dont think anyone is not going to be able to get it done at all.
Have you seen that they’ve released a World Boss schedule? If not, you should check that out. It has Tequatl and the Wurm placed too early to be in proper prime time, not to mention they are drastically reducing the amount of spawn times. TxS normally does 2, sometimes 3 Tequatl runs a day. That will no longer be possible.
Also, the guilds won’t be able to spawn the bosses at a time that’s actually convenient for the majority of people in our guilds due to having influence spread over many servers and us never having done guild missions together as that’s not the point of the guild.
So, yeah, regarding these things, we do now “exactly how it’s going to be” because we possess the ability to be able to read.
And not all change is good.. just sayin’.
edit: regarding your edit, players have had the chance to learn the fights in the manner you speak about, you know…. back when the fights were released.

I don’t see a problem. Your guildies relied on you to organize the events so that they could get the events done. Now they’ll simply be able to do the events whether or not you organized the events. (you are assuming that all the other players in the map are completely useless when it comes to these events for some reason.) Just because you don’t have control of everyone doing the event doesn’t mean you cant get it done anymore.
There’s no issue here other than people not having to depend on you guys anymore. (Which to everyone else is a boon, not a curse)
So very wrong. Getting 100-150 people to guest to the same server is not where the leadership and organisation ends. Far from it. If all it took were numbers, then every server would be constantly defeating the Three-Headed Wurm. And yeah, extra people who aren’t on TS or following instructions can in fact seriously impact events in a negative manner.
The whole point was that these fights were made for the “hardcore” or at least people who wanted a challenge. Yet ANet isn’t making the system conducive to organising said challenges.
The system isnt even out yet and you already think you know exactly how its going to be.

Edit: on a side note, I think its good that players will have a chance to learn how to do it, rather than being barked into position by “pros” who do it daily. Just as how its more fun for people to learn how to do a dungeon rather than stacking and skipping half of it.

guild events, I could see a problem there if you couldnt get enough of your guildies into one map. But neither of us know how well the system is going to work yet. For all we know, the system will work great and there wont be a problem at all.

I still remmeber seeing dusk on the tp for 25g and that was the same week I bought my abyss dye for 2 gold 50 silver off the tp.
Prices will only continue to go up. The more and more gold people are making, the more expensive things get. However i think the rate at which inflation will rise will only get slower, as people will eventually hit the most efficient way to get gold (which they have already done, its just that the rest of the population havnt done it yet, and they will soon get to that point)
in short, no I dont think you will have to worry about 1:1 ratio.
4.2k hours played since headstart, +1k gold down the forge, 0 precursor drops yet 4 legendaries and 1 precursor waiting to be crafted all thanks to the wonders of the TP.
If you want a legendary then just buy the kitten thing from the TP.
Nothing legendary about that.
So you prefer a legendary waste of time

You have more “action” available at level 80 than any other level. You have access to all the content in the entire game. Dungeons, Map completion, world vs world, pvp, living story, fractals, events anywhere you want, is all available at level 80.
If none of that is fun for you, then why are you even playing this game?
and also:
so when someone has many reasons that he is right that means his argument is weak? and the person with only one reason has the best argument?
not saying that applies to whatever you guys are talking about, just saying in general that makes no sense like whatsoever.
I have another one for you: “the one who feels the need to justify, has reason to do so”
If you dont have the experience to understand all this, please dont look at me for teaching lessons.
So I suggest using the internet or real live for further research.
And I have something for you. People who use passive aggressive argumentative skills are too immature to be taken seriously. You are coming off as toxic, arrogant, and pretentious. I suggest that you refer yourself to the forum rules before you continue discussing in the forums.
itd be cool to have more npc/player interaction. id really enjoy that.
however the cost/reward of coding them would be pretty skewed. so unless someone decided to do it for free i dont think itd happen, lol.
Remember the Flamekissed Fiasco? Well, ANet sure does.
“BUT YOU CANT DO THAT, ANET FFS!!”
I really want crystal desert. Like, really.
The more words one needs to justify his point of view, the weaker his arguments become.

It’s a big world. If you’re new to the game, you’re probably in a starter area. If you had finished most of the content, is that where you see yourself hanging out?
This is a problem with most MMOs. You have to get to end game areas (or at least places were people congregate) to find most people. No MMO I’ve played has people in all zones.
That said, there are busier servers and less busy ones but after the 15th things should pick up. In the mean time, try guesting to Tarnished Coast if you’re on a US server, and you’ll probably find more people in the open world.
Wait, wait, wait LOL…
I thought GW2 was advertised as having THE ENTIRE WORLD as the end game?
Well, you can farm champions on any map, which is what a lot of end gamers are doing. However the trains usually stick to frostgorge sound at the moment. Which is entirely there choice. if they wanted to they could be farming lorar’s pass or something.
Dont worry there are tons of players, Just not all where you are at the moment. Once the megaserver patch goes live in less than a week, even where you are, there will be players.
Nothing says that Primordus’ “residual energy” is what powers modern gates. .
Except the guild wars 2 official wiki.
“The first asura gate network was constructed with the Central Transfer Chamber as its main hub and only source of power. The magical energy used to power the gates was radiated from what was then believed to be a dragon statue. Later, it came to light that the dragon statue was the actual dragon Primordius. When he awoke and left, destroying the Central Transfer Chamber in the process, the asura network continued to receive power, presumably from Primordius’ residual magical energy.”

unless im reading it wrong.

Klonex, that would be really nice, but assuming updates to the Living World are going to be released every two weeks as per normal, wouldn’t that set the Chinese community one year behind us?
Even if they do make all events as instances (for whatever odd reason), it’s going to be hard to recreate the fun, zerging skirmishes between a horde of players and say, Tequatl. A party of 5 trying to attack an angry dragon is just asking for a wipe. Not to mention that if instances were created, people who have missed early events in NA and EU will be clamoring for it.
IMHO, the status quo is really the best, although not the most perfect, solution. I guess even though Chinese players have missed some pretty historical moments, now that they’ve officially joined the world of Tyria, they can still look forward to many more years of exciting Living World events.
if it set them one year behind us what difference would it make? for anybody? they already not had the game at all for this long. It really wouldnt make the slightest difference for anyone. however if you went the other way the Chinese would miss a ton of story, yet the rest of the world would still be unaffected.
They don’t necessarily have to start where the other regions are. It’d be entirely possible to start them out on the first living story. and have them go through the motions.
During the personal story we learned that because Orr was already destroyed, Zhaitan met virtually no resistance while raising his Risen army and as a result had the largest army and posed the most immediate threat at the time.
Considering how the new dragon was able to terrify Scarlet and drive her insane despite being as powerful as she was, it seems this new dragon is pretty kitten.
Also, do you think Primordus probably is the strongest of all the dragons overall and will probably be the last dragon we face, since he was the dragon associated with Eye of the North and was the first to wake up?
kind of offtopic note. Primordus’ energy is what powers the entire network of asura gates. they used to use his unawakened statue directly, But he since then has awakened and left. However he had so much energy that the residual energy left behind is enough to still power the network.
IDK thought it was interesting.

new class?
new skills?
level cap increase?
new maps? (crystal desert plz)
all of the above?
Up to a point, Ap does show you aren’t a total noob. if someone had 200 AP, they probably would slow the rest of the group. how ever someone with 2000 ap could be just as good as someone with 15000 ap.
If you have at least 1000, then there’s a much higher chance that you wont be a liability with someone with only say 300 ap.
a minimum of 1000 ap would be a reasonable request when youre trying to dungeon. but say, 5000 ap or higher, thats a useless requirement.

I actually expected a photoshoped godzilla raiding new york or something from the title.
how can you hide with a giant red name above your head to the enemy even with a tonic?
I could sum it up in just a few words.
The game has been out for over 1.5 years now. People changed and improved. Dungeons did not.
um yea dungeons kittenin changed.
Are the encounters still the same? For the most part, yes. Are today’s tactics different from those used a year ago? Yes.
My point stands.
no, a year ago people used exploits to get cof and other dungeons day in and day out.
they also made many dungeons much more difficult.
so no your point doesnt stand.
Can you back up your claim of exploiting with evidence?
Also, “many dungeons much more difficult”? Please, continue pulling my leg, if people in this day are complaining about dungeons being too difficult after all the knowledge that’s been shared around through guides and hand-holding, they must really suck. No dungeon path has undergone any major overhaul since the dungeon team vanished into thin air (Aetherpath is a replacement, not an overhaul).
So until you can give me solid proof to refute my point, it will stand.
Firstly, i never said they were too difficult, i said their difficulty were significantly raised. theres a difference.
And no, i dont feel like finding year old patch notes to simply appease you childish “prove me wrong or im right” stance. They HAVE changed, i know this, because ive been here since beta. If you dont also know this, then you either werent paying attention to the changes at the time, or you simply are a lot newer to the game than i.
I could sum it up in just a few words.

who will gamble 6000g on the toilet to get no precursors,
spends 6000g trying to get precursor, couldve bought 2 -3 legendaries with the money instead
LOL
i dont think it takes over a day to return it back to normal, but it HAS been determined, as well as noted by devs, that there anti farm mechanisms in game, preventing someone from farming the same area over and over.
however i do not believe the anti farming mechanics affect in any way lords or champions or dragons, etc. anything like that is likely supersitition
instead of having 1 24 hour booster please have multiple smaller ones. i activated mine, and its such a good bonus, but if i dont constantly run around and make use of it itll go to waste. and the 24 hour duration is o long.
itd be nice if it was like, 12 different 2 hour boosts or something that way we can have break in between. or make it toggleable, and once you toggle it on, you cant toggle it off for atleast 1 more hour
(edited by Envy.1679)
Did you even play gw1?
oh god that elitism it burns
oh man, i rememeber when every post that even mentioned warriors insisted on that warriors were completely and utterly useless.
warriors used to be the laughing stock of the game. considering my very first character was a warrior, im quite happy that there are now posts like this /smiley
i got my first warrior, one of the first level 80s in the game, to level 80 without crafting in 4 days. nowadays its exponentially easier to level a character.
the answer is, keep doing events. the more events you do, the faster you level.
if you have the mats and gold for it, then crafting will level up very fast. use a crafting guide.
If anyone has ever noticed what wildy popular books and tv shows had in common, its that characters generally arent plainly good and evil. breaking bad for example, almost every single character is morally ambiguous. Pretty much the same thing with game of thrones.
they have good sides and bad sides.
however in gw2 i feel the characters might be lacking this kind of depth. this character here is completely evil, you can always expect evil things from it. however this other character is completely good, he will never do an evil thing in his life.
Like after we get to know trahearne for awhile, hes just a simple good guy. we wont expect a bad thing from him, ever. what if he had a dark past? or if he lost his way later on in a living story, maybe by falling for geed, lust, or envy, etc. just an example of how you could make these characters exponentially more interesting.
I feel gw2 could use some depth to its characters.

I once got QQ’d SO HARD by MULTIPLE PEOPLE at for saying i play the game for fun. after i pointed out i wouldnt like to stand in a camp for 5 hours to defend off the lone enemy here and there.
slightly off topic, but putting it out there.
