Some good advice above so I will not repeat any of it.
I’m a little confused by one part: When I use Shift-click it doesn’t actually broadcast the skill clicked, it just puts it in the chat box. Which I’d assume is worse as that would change focus of all keys to the chat box. I know I really hate trying to input movement/skills when the chat window has focus. My guess is that this is really about Ctrl-click?
Come on, get on board with the OP. This has to be allowed so the next step can be the same thing with ascended & legendary items!
The only negative I can come up with from a player perspective is that some people purchased different versions of the permanent gathering tools and can’t get a refund. For instance, if you purchased the Molten pick and the Watchwork pick you can’t get a refund.
I’m in the opposite boat. I purchased all 3 of the gathering tools for each of my 8 characters. And they’re all the same versions. This would pretty much force me to get a refund for 21 of them. The reason I haven’t asked for a refund: convenience.
Yes, I’d like to see it. I also have a doubt that this will happen.
i know in rift “multiboxing” was perfectly legal.
in case you dont know, multiboxing is 1 guy with like usually 5 or so characters with the same exact set up stacked on top of each other. he uses 1 keyboard to control all 5 of them simultaneously. effectively making him as strong kitten (wow as “5” is blocked) people (but stronger since hes so coordinated)
Im assuming since its also an mmo, that gw2 would have a similar policy. Not that you’d something that exorbitant for what you’re doing.
The situation you described it most definitely not legal and would be grounds for a ban.
Multiboxing itself is legal, yes. You can have two accounts up and logged in on the same time (although running two accounts on the same client is questionable)
But you cannot be actively playing both at the same time.
I agree that the situation above would be wrong. But, I find myself a bit confused when I read the following in the official post: “3.You must be actively playing on each account.” How does one actively play more than one account? I’d guess that “active” may be something other than what I have in mind.
I just wanted to ask VOL… if your eyes bleed much? LOL That’s a crazy amount of goodies in your bank.
The patch notes say that Line 3 trait XIII is rewarded for successfully completing the defending event at the Temple of Melandru as well as the capture event.
That’s a very confusing statement since line 3 is Karka Queen. I have all 8 classes and that trait unlock was the same for all of them – Karka Queen. I guess I could be mistaken but I looked at all 8 of them before I started unlocking any of the new traits.
Does the Melandru capture event also hand out a Line 3 trait XIII?
Does the defend event at Temple of Melandru give the same thing as defeating Karka Queen?
Just curious how many of the achievements you and your friend had finished before the patch. I had, and still have 6 of the monthly achievements finished.
http://mos.millenium.org/na/matchups I’d look at the predicted rankings and use that as a guide. Specifically for WvW. I don’t know how well it will stand up for PVE across the board but, I’ve guested to TC and Blackgate and PVE is far from dead.
Something in the middle, some PVE zones are active on my server (NSP). And we even end up with queues to get into WvW at times.
Exotic zealot gear: Craft. Search for Zealot on TP. Or find someone that already knows them and can help out.
Depending on which server you’re on, I might help out
Very nice!
When I saw the subject I was thinking how are they going to pull that off with harps. Turns out I was thinking of a different Heart and Soul : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGmLfS0un5Y#aid=P9PitERwvaY
Need electric guitar too!
Concerning WvW in particular, I’m curious which server you choose. Quite a difference between some of them. Since your char is only level 15, you may want to consider deleting your character and then switch to another server. No gem cost if you have no characters.
Concerning speed. If you join a group, you’ll be more likely to get the speed buffs that those in the group share.
at least not one who can run off into the sunset with your banner.
You shouldn’t write things like that. Now I find myself wanting to pick one up and run off into the sunset! Why is that thought so entertaining? Capture the flag anyone?
In the words of Steve Miller Band: go on, take the banner and run.
I know, not really on topic but I couldn’t help it.
I wish the game simply won’t allow any chat messages to send which contains tagged words such as gold seller’s web address. Gold sellers can’t sell gold if their message is automatically banned by having their URL.
You might be amazed at how creative people would get in changing said words/address which would make creating said filtering a major task. A quick example: add spaces between some of the characters in the address.
I did make a proposal or two in another thread and I’d still like to see at least one of them implemented: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Gold-sellers-whispering-Suggestion/first#post3512670
“Transmutation Charges will replace Crystals as drops from the Black Lion Chest.”
No mention of Transmutation stones being replaced by anything, so i guess now we know. They will simply get removed.
Please read the OP again. Hint: 3:1
Youch, lots of horrible mistakes made here! I feel your pain guys, I’ve done VERY stupid things too, other than my two ring of red deaths….
There is a way to wear both rings. Infuse one and it will no longer be the same item as the un-infused ring. Of course, that means you’d have to run fractals to get the mats to infuse one.
Irony says that if you do run enough fractals for the mats, that you’ll also get the red ring from a bonus chest.
I can’t call it loot but, they do appear to drop player corpses. Veteran subjugators come to mind.
Unique means one of a kind. Not one of a kind times the number of characters that play a game. Point being that I saw it and it meant absolutely nothing.
To make it more fun, I have two of the same ascended rings equipped. Imagine my surprise when I purchased two accessories and couldn’t equip both.
My best guess as to using two of the same unique rings riddle is that one of them is infused.
The short version, I agree that it needs to be made clearer in the interface.
I’m with you on this one. But, I suspect that some people do want it to attack white and yellow.
And the funny one is the skill retreat. It makes you attack if auto targeting is enabled. The logic here just kills me: retreat = attack.
I believe the answer is weapon swap.
What is the difference between buying Tokens (a path) with Gold and buying them with other “tokens”? Keep in mind that since they are available for gold, they don’t represent anything in particular. Reason being is that gold is made in all aspects of the game.
I can’t remember what I was going to write…
Oh, now I remember!
Characters with more than 2000 hours played should randomly get confusion stacks out of the blue.
There is more than one path you can use to get to that vista.
Where this gets real interesting… let’s say you have say 3 molten picks, you can get your gems back on 2 of them. In my case, I have 8×3 of such items. That means I could turn 21 of them back into gems and buy the newer items…
On the lighter side:
I want infinite use legendary gathering tools! Ones that lets me choose what to gather currently by using a drop down menu. With bonus items thrown in. And it may as well include things like obsidian shards, bolts of damask, gifts for legendary weapons/armor and precursors.
Did you use the same character for all 3? May have to use the same one or at least get all 3 on one.
I can say that I have completed that achievement.
The in game mail that was sent directs us to go to Bogside Camp Waypoint (southeast part of area) for the vigil escorts. There is an escort that starts there but it doesn’t appear to be vigil. Although, I did do this escort.
I ran into a situation today where the champ put its back to the outside of the ring facing to the center. I tried repeatedly to get in behind it but nothing I did would allow me to inflict any damage. I’d used whirling wrath 2x and it was ready for a 3rd use and then some before the champ finally moved. I’m not sure if this is a bug, intended or if there is something I could have done to make it move. Any insights would be appreciated.
For the record, we did manage to kill it and the generator with seconds to spare. But, it really didn’t matter as at least 2 other platforms failed so the chain was not broken. And even that didn’t matter as none of the lanes managed to take out the first chain.
Please post a screenshot when you get to 64!
I found a reference that the max is 64. Takes a serious altoholic to hit that cap.

I get these whispers almost every day. Some days more than one from different accounts. They even manage to make some of the text larger than normal. In my case, whisper gets very little use. Guild/Say/Map/Team all see a lot more use. It’s also a bit more annoying when I get them in WvW. These people are not in wvw, or at least not in my sight so I can’t block them. I can report them but I have to leave wvw to block them as that is not an option in wvw in the chat window.
In my experience, these are accounts with 0 AP. I report them, block them and look to see what the AP is in the block list.
For those that say they don’t support it. If it was an option along the lines of the language filter, would you still not support it? As in, you have the option to allow/disallow whispers from anyone that has less than say 100 AP.
I’d also like to make it clear that 100 is just a number I threw out there. I’m sure that ANet would be able to come up with a reasonable number.
Lexandro threw in the idea that new people can’t send whispers but can respond to them. Another thought along these lines: rate limit the new players in the form of how many people they can send whispers to in a time period. I’ll throw out another number as an example: 10 people per hour.
As far as them always sending the same message, they would change the message in a million ways if the message was blocked based on the content. People can get really creative in this respect.
My concern with just not viewing the whisper channel is that people may think I’ve received messages when I have not. If it was a channel toggle, then the game could possibly respond that that person is not accepting whispers. Of course, my preference would be a toggle that blocked any whisper from those with less than 100 AP and let the sender know it was not received.
Thanks for all the responses!
And a special thank you for all of the progress already made concerning the gold selling spam. Especially, the reduction in map chat. Thanks!
Whisper is not a massive deterrent in my opinion. They still have many other channels they can use to ask for help. And again, it doesn’t need to be a global block. But, I would certainly enable it. I suspect that I’ve never even received a whisper from a truly brand new player in well over a year of playing.
Since the original idea seems to raise a flag. How about just a toggle to allow/disallow the channel period. I rarely use it and wouldn’t have any issue disabling it.
I have an idea that may help put a stop to the gold sellers that whisper. How about making it so accounts can not whisper until they have say 100 achievement points. If not a global block, one that people can choose to enable.
That makes yakslapper look like a piece of cake. Time to go hunt some yaks!
I often seem to find myself just far enough away from a crystal while fighting Jade Maw that I probably end up trying to pick up the crystal while still moving so I can get it in time. The result is that I run right past it with no control over my character. The good news, getting downed takes care of it!
It happens to me at other times too and the enter key 2x always seems to work.
I’ve had this happen a few times. Since then I started opening hero [H] using the keyboard or the icon on the top left once after I start the game – before I use the top right click. May just be lucky but so far I haven’t had it happen again.
Another possible way out is to log out to the character select screen and press play again.
