Some people like to save up essences of luck and use it for thier monthly crafting achievement.
There is another thread about this very issue already. As its been stated there, take a screen shot of the party at the very beginning of run, and use that to report.
Wouldn’t that also allow them to harass those that did the kicking? (Rhetorical)
I agree with the OP.
I think the phenomenon of what’s going on in the forums in general has to do with people going stir crazy. Anet, please release some new content, any new content before many fly over the coo-coo’s nest.
The first response in this thread gets my vote.
You’re claiming there is no death penalty. Sounds like you’re saying that the time it costs you/you group isn’t a penalty. The phrase “time is money” comes to mind.
Another way to look at it, why didn’t they just remove the possibility of death. If it’s not a penalty, then I see no point in it being in the game at all.
Credit card → gems → gold → buy level 68+ rare+ items and salvage? I know, still using TP but it’s not buying ectos from TP. I couldn’t resist.
World bosses and temples come to mind for the daily bonus chest.
It is a serious problem. Even for Engineers, we have a 25 movement speed in traits, I’ve yet to get the thing to work the entire time I’ve played. I’ve resolved to using traveler runes but there are much better runes for certain situations and it’s sad that we have to choose between mobility and functionality in a game that’s supposed to be about diversity.
Power shoes? It appears to work fine on my Engineer. At some point it only worked while in combat but that was updated some months ago.
Edit: Seems only fair to do the same for the Mesmer trait
(edited by Erus Keb.8379)
Is a class without a passive move steed boost truly playable?!! We live in the age of speed xD
I believe they are playable. Mesmer with 100% map completion (mostly solo) and prior to the WXP “merge” over 120 ranks. 1st character too. Good thing it was 1st as while they are playable, it’s hard to take when switching from say thief to Mesmer.
I haven’t been over there in some time but this comes to mind:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Draw_out_and_destroy_the_Demagogue%27s_spirit
Just happened to us as well. Made sure the kittening piece of kitten who triggered it got kicked and blocked asap, but we still had to abandon the fractal.
How does one trigger said bug? Just want to know what to avoid. Thanks!
I don’t know of any way to set that up in game. But, I’ve heard good things about ICM: http://wesslen.org/ICM/
Actually, I managed to get the normal crystal mostly by luck. I had dropped down there and didn’t have any purple juice left, so I decided to just go for it and use the yellow dash. This just stupid luckily placed me right on the pole with the normal crystal! I’ve tried it a couple times since though and missed the pole completely, and since I didn’t have any purple juice I couldn’t reach the Master crystal that time.
As far as getting from the second crystal to the master, I didn’t use any of the aspects (juice). Just a normal jump followed by direction keys.
I wonder what the odds are on using light dash the way you did
Which I consider really disappointing, as I use Agent of Entropy to effectively count total salvage on my account and its neat to see that. Once I max it out I’m going to lose that
I understand with the rewards added it opened it to people grinding AP for the loots they felt the need to slow it down. But I wish they’d come up with some way to track my total salvage without adding extra AP. It’s a little thing I know.
Good news, it doesn’t stop counting and you even see the award when you finish it again. Just doesn’t include AP. It shows that you’ve completed it x number of times.
I haven’t had too much trouble with it, EXCEPT at the one where you drop off that crane right near the ship, and edge down, and then have to jump over to a pole and another pole, and then hop back the other way to reach a Master crystal halfway down the cliff? On that part I’ve tried several times and the jump never works out like it looks it will.
Sounds like the path that I took to get to the master. Except, I didn’t use the middle pole. I jumped from the small pole below the crystal that is under the crane right to the pole with the other normal crystal. The lightning pull from there to the master was crazy. Went right through the center where the master crystal is and out the other side. The solution I ended up using was a normal jump (space) down to the master crystal.
Sounds like a good reason to separate the gauntlet instance from the pavilion instance.
Couldn’t we use the cow launcher that’s in Diessa Plateau? Even better, we need blueprints for dolypults in WvW for rush supply delivery.
I want to say that I saw this happen a long time ago. I Just tried this on my war without having the issue. Sword/shield, GreatSword. Flurry→swap→100b.
Which would lead me to think that it is caused by a trait/sigil/rune etc. For those experiencing it, may want to clear traits and see if it still happens as that is free to change now.
Best. Thread. Ever.

I got to thinking that some may not know what was going on. Here’s a video that might shed some light on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQsM6u0a038
That performance has been dubbed things like: 20 minutes that changed music and the top greatest live musical performance.
A short version of it with some interesting commentary. My favorite comment: This was made for Freddie" hello the planet" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNwixrmdVbg
Maaaamaaaaaa! Just killed a warband! Put my hammer against their heads, took a swing and now their dead.
devsssss….. quest had just begun
And now LA’s been blown awaaaaay.
Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide. No escape from reality.
Open your eyes. Look up to the skies and see.
I’m just a poor boy, I need pre cursors.
I recall trading tons of crafting mats to vendors to get the boxes that may contain the scraps needed to get the Zephyr items. May want to save up on crafting mats.

It’s always seemed to me that champ bag (and loot in general) credit is determined by a % damage, which the entire party can contribute to.
I view the last part of that as a bug. I certainly didn’t use their weapons/skills for those in the group. Either I did the damage or I didn’t.
Taken to the extreme, why don’t natural groups contribute to the damage.
I’m assuming the ghost in question is Kholer. I saw the same thing mentioned in another post and I managed to find it.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/No-chests-in-COF
There’s really no reason to go hard the entire time. Even WvW regulars do other stuff including PvE and PvP. Pace yourself. There’s no reason to go hardcore just for seasons as WvW still keeps going afterwards.
This. Take a break, it’ll still be there when your batteries are recharged.
Anyone done Balthazar lately?
Yes. The last time was less than 24 hours ago.
I feel stupid asking this but how do you see another player’s AP point total.
You add to friends list. Shows AP.
You can also just hover mouse over the player in the group/party UI.
This may be relevant: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/Reward-track-progress-cap
Great picture of it in the post: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Untargeted-Symbol-of-Protection
I’m wondering if you get protection from the symbol when that happens? I can’t really say from the picture in the linked post as that one does not appear to be directly below the player.
among them that real long lasting earth skill, that takes some seconds to charge
That skill is very fast when it is the one that comes from dodge while using the evasive arcana trait.
It don’t give you 8 stack of bleed( only 1 stack). The dmg is also much lower.
It is possible for an Elementalist to move while the skill is charging by using lightning flash.
Example at the beginning of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHNw2Re9tSM

Just throwing out a few ideas
For #1: It could be that there was more than one person you were fighting. Could have been a Mesmer with the Thief. Otherwise, I guess it’s possible that the thief could have shadow stepped behind you right after the shot fired which tracked him and it ran into you. Just a possibility, I don’t know if that would actually work.
For #3: quickness (frenzy/trait/rune/sigil)
Are you wanting to split the guild into multiple guilds so they behave as they did prior to the megaserver?
As far as I’m aware, utility slots are only available on certain versions of the amulets. That is to say you can only have one utility infusion in use at a time.
The magical utility is the only utility that I’ve purchased.
I like your guess. I’d be happy with just trait templates for PvE.
Skills could be a nice bonus depending on the implementation. I wouldn’t want a skill on cool down to interfere with switching traits. I say that with some of the relatively long elite cool downs in mind. I guess it could just skip changing any skill that is in a cool down state and apply everything else in the template.
Been asked for numerous times and request has been consitently ignored.
It has not been ignored. I don’t recall where the post was, but they said they are working on it now. Its actually part of the reason they removed underwater combat from PvP entirely. Make it easier on them to remove 6 items and a whole set of skills from the template.
In short: IT’S HAPPENING. Just not yet. Later this year, most like, in the next feature patch.
If I were to read between the lines, I’d assume that either water is going to be removed from PvE or that what they were talking about is only going to be for PvP.
In that light, I’ll go ahead and say I’d really like this feature in all game modes. Further, I’d like it if it worked like the one in GW1. At least in that the number of builds you have is only limited by the disk space available on your computer.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/FPS-GPU-CPU-Performance-issues-FAQ/first#post588114 Q7/Q8 have some good info.
Face it. People want BiS. Required or not is irrelevant. It is grindy.
And I have every intent to keep swinging my sword again.
And merely just wanting something is not a reason of why you should have it.
Then grinding is a reason why I should have it?
According to the game, yes.
If you disagree, then feel free to state why else you would deserve something other than “i want it”
Which supports my statement that it is grindy. Thank you!
I was never disputing that it was grindy. I think it’s pretty stupid myself. My point is just because you want something doesn’t mean it should be given to you.
Legendaries were intended to be a long term, grindy goal. There’s really no point in complaining about it.
Since you went there, I see it in a different light. We’re all what I call paid-in-full customers and BiS is part of the content in my book. BiS does not have to mean legendary. I could be convinced that it does include it but that’s neither here nor there for this conversation. The answer to your question is that I’m a paid in full customer – that’s why I deserve it. And to keep that from ruffling too many feathers, that is my opinion.
I also think things like applied fortitude/strength should be given to those new to WvW. Training wheels if you will. And that those with lots of WvW ranks shouldn’t have it. Please don’t take that in the wrong light. I have enough free rank points to purchase both of those goodies and I’ve elected not to do so. Who knows, I may spend them at some point. The main point here is that I still have a blast in WvW. And, I really don’t see why people care so much about others NOT having BiS. What truly gets me is how negative most of said posts seem.
The funny part about the responses to my posts: my first post was a compliment to the game. “It is by far the most grindy game I’ve every played for any length of time.” See what I did there?
My second post. People would use BiS if they had it and it’s irrelevant to bring up need. Anyone who is going to play for some time will run into the grind wall that is BiS. It doesn’t need to be there or at least not so high. And here comes the compliment again: I’m going to keep swinging my sword!
At this point I do have a legendary weapon that I crafted. Yes, it was a grind. I’ve almost repeated said grind. And before I do so the third time, I’ll have enough extra gold to flat out buy another from the TP.
It is grindy. And I’m going to go swing my sword again!

I guess I’ll go the route of a picture is worth 1000 words. Check the picture here: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hot_Air_Balloon
Use the balloon just south of the keep in Gendarran. It will give you a ride to your choice of the other two camps. One of which is in Bloodtide Coast and it’s fairly close to the Order of Whispers.
It is by far the most grindy game I’ve every played for any length of time.
Don’t even ask how many times I “swung a sword again”
Seems like a bug to me. I’ve been downed in there a great number of times in the past and actually done significant damage while downed or at least I’m able to hold out for quite a while so other can make it back from the nearest waypoint. As of roughly the 15th, instant death.
The OP either has
1. Has extraneous stuffs that are not soul bound that we don’t know about and he’s not saying it.
2. Has repeated sets (like 3 berserker sets? with different runes)
3. Organization problem
4. Mixed sets. Example: berserker/knight.
What is a personal guild bank?
Storage mules can hold exotic equipment that has been used by another character?
How many more bag slots can you buy? I thought it was just 1 more?
You can have 8 bag slots in total on each character. That’s 160 inventory slots per character if you have all 8 slots and they’re all 20 slot bags.
IIRC a new character has 5 slots, so you can buy 3 more.
If this is the same thing, don’t use the waypoint right away after getting the chest. Instead, I turn around and wait until I see the NPC dialog start and then use the waypoint. I normally play without sound and I have the text boxes showing enabled.
Also – you can’t use two of the same ascended ring – I thought.
You can if only one of them is infused.
I have an infused Solaria that’s also +44 and a non-infused Lunaria that’s +46. I don’t know if the Solaria dropped with the infusion or if I added it in the forge.
I also have a pair of Khilbron’s Phylactery rings. One infused, the other is not. Both have the same stats.
Does anyone know if this is only an issue with celestial?
