Today, again in EU this afternoon we had spikes and lag after it constantly. And I’m talking about a group of random ppl. Not just my country. Now this goes on for months now. Spikes and lag on a daily basis ain’t cool.
Me personally never had issues prior to this September patch.
The answer is that a year ago or so there was a patch tha buffed the chest loot from dungeons. I remember because of that all were lfg in front of each one. And the drop was good. Exotic and rare items almost often. Obviously it was too much and got stealth nerfed as usual.
and don’t even get me started on fractal loot.
That is a very true and solid statement. Sice day 1 i never ever ever had issues with the connection. But since August it’s so bad I still wonder when it is going to be fixed.
We already have lesbian relationships ingame. So what’s next? Gay marriages?
Persinally I’m noy looking forward to an expansion. but there was this guy at Reddit who said (and it’s been said hundred times) that if we are lucky, we may see Maguuma Jungle and Crystal Desert sometime in the year 2019.
And the Clockwork tower as well, but with different reward. Gloves 2 years in a row was a huge let down.
+1 for the idea!
and +1000 for the “save mode/option” suggestion!
Fractals cry for something fresh in a long time now. Pluse better rewards. Thx
I haven’t tryed to replay the episodes with my firs character. I tought this might be the problem but have to check it out when I get back home. Thx for the tip.
Clockwork tower again please! But different rewards this time!
Hello.
As I mentioned earlier I enjoyed a lot the new direction of the LS.
So I finished all of the episodes and thus unlocking the achievements. As I am playing with my second toon with some fine directions from Dulfy, I ended up with no achievements gained after following the exact guides. I just don’t recieve them? I tryed several times replaying Gates of Maguuma first chapter and nothing happens.
“No One Left Behind” and the achievements from “Cornered” are not working for me. For the others, well they are kinda hard so I haven’t perfected my moves to complete them but I guess they may be bugged as well?
Anyone else has similar issues or am I doing something wrong? I do the exact same thing from the video guides. And not just Dulfy’s. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
I vote leave it and don’t bring it back.
I want that skin SO BAD but I’m glad it’s so rare and unattainable. Much like the festivals in GW1…you were there and had a chance to get it or you weren’t. I wasn’t.
Don’t cheapen it Anet. Release a variant maybe but I’d hate to see yet another reward cheapened by a festival and gifted to the masses in hind-sight a year or two later.
Why the hell not?!
Since someone posted a datamined picture on Reddit, with Halloween skins I am on standby. Now please Anet we’ve been asking for them since forever. So do it and take my money please.
P.S.
Thx for bringing the Clockwork Tower for a second time last year. So please do so again but not gloves as a reward again.

Actually what I wanted to say about the jumping puzzles is that I’m forced to do jumping in order to get things done. And this is the reason I don’t visit Dry Top as much as I want to. Some serious timing needed there to learn all the ways to reach most of the events. And I don’t have that much time.
Jumping puzzles used to be optional entertainment. I’ve done em all and still do some daily. So let’s hope the next map[s] will not be like Dry Top.
I like it. I got all the set types, some x2. Running fractals 50 with 90+ agony resist, for better drops. Easy.
And they are account bound so cheerz to that.
So, after 3 months of wild summer and a break from all kind of gaming, I came back to play the GW2.
Despite the gaps in the last 2 feature patches that still bother me, I finished the Season 2 episodes given so far, to “clear the air” sort of speak. In one take. And I must confess – job well done. It felt deep and intriguing. It looks like devs took their time and fixed what was missing or it didn’t felt good during Season 1.
The characters did a realy good job with presenting the story thus far. I see people complaining about the dialog not being able to be skipped. But I believe this is the right way to get into the story more deeply.
Perhaps what happened to Belinda slipped quite fast in the story and came as a shock but oh well.. Taimi in the other hand gave me a good laugh on many occasions (american humor at it’s finest) it felt rly good. And the entire episodes they were called me “da boss”. Kinda weird but who doesn’t want to get his kitten kissed (and we all called for it after S1 lol). The mystery with the nobles was relaxin` and the battle in the The Grove also felt awesome and engaging.
The rewards – well I find them much useful than S1 or the personal story in that matter. And the fact that some of them are starting some sort of a scavenger hunt is even better. HelI I even got Chaos Gun from one of the 5 bags with greenishblue salvageables. Cool stuff.
All in all I want to say thanks and keep it up with the future. That’s the right way for the story to proceed. Can’t wait for the next episode. Now onto finish them again with the alts. BRB.
P.S.
Looking forwards to the Halloween even and the Clockwork tower. Also please less jumping in the next episodes from S2 thx.
Hah, just stumbled upon my beloved bunny heart in the Foothills. Bunnies do not even try anymore. ;/
Are they gone? I mean ARE THEY NO MORE? I’ve got to check when i get back home.

I do feel ya. People who probably left because of solid arguments like yours, made me feel that some of them were right. As you are in this case. For example, some ppl predicted what would become of this game 1 year ago, and today they are totaly right. That’s why from a regular paying customer, I’ve become a casual player. I still hold my breath for “the miracle” to happen, cause this game “has it” It’s like quoting Frankie Wilde “Ibiza is dot dot dot”. Even after this disastrous feature pack I still hold some breath. In the mean time, I got other new games to play.
For every person here whining and complaining about all the changes and how they feel this update blows donkey honkers, there are 10 satisfied players in the game playing.
;D
Just sayin’…
Not toast.
When you finish your first character and then perhaps your second; if you stick around long enough to try and make 3rd or 4th and so on..After you become veteran player, come back here and tell me how you feel abouit this change.
I bet 100% you’ll be singing a different song.
300 staff at anet, million of players an forms to review.
Wont work
I’ve said it before. Aion did it and it worked!
Do you have their sample form? I’d like to see it anyway
I’m sry I don’t. This was done back in 2009. I don’t even remember what the questions were lol. Overall it was about how much are you satisfied with given content and how it can be improved. Such thing also appeared later on after release, perhaps in 2011. Can’t remember exactly.
During BWE in GW2 we had surveys as well, but my best recollection from them is that even tho me and my friends gave evaluations for each content asked, nothing changed after the release lol.

Just let people put 2 lvl 20 scrolls in the forge, some stones or coins or a goat and out comes a lvl 40 scroll.
New players can’t get it and it solves the whole issue
(or 1 scroll and make it lvl 500 craft, whatever)
Actually this is very very veryyyyy good idea! A good tweaking and it could be implemented easily. Veterans only. Problem with this NPE solved.
Tried it. Didn’t like it. Reasons are smeared all over the forum.
And yet, I can see how it would be helpful to new players. To think of it, the highlighted features should show up faster, rather than spaced between 1 and 23…
I’m hoping some of it was just a bug, because getting some of those notices as a veteran was just baffling. And the limit of combat options is understandably infuriating for a veteran player. The pushback of utility slots to make characters even weaker by level 30, when dungeons open, is a terrible idea to prepare them (new or veteran) for more difficult content.
100% agree. Oh well, back to farming leveling scrolls…
I’m fully against of this kind of activity – selling a dungeon; but in this case – my concern is this:
Last night I started level 49 fractal. Me and guild mate + 3 random players reached the last boss of the last fractal when 1 of the randoms dc’d and a second one left for no reason. We decided to replace them with 2 other random players. Suddenly me, my friend and the 3rd random player got kicked instantly after the 2 new fresh reqruits. It was a pure theft of my run.
Chris what do you think?
I can say one thing about this. Aion did it. And it worked
Same things happens with us last night in Edge of the Mists. We wanted to go full guild party but the “join” button was gone.
On a side note, this is the first game I see with such a drastic change in the starting zones… after 2 years in it’s life span on the market. I’ve seen in other games the publisher throwing vet scrolls for instant max lvl or things like that when making changes to starting zones. But here it’s just one simple punch in the face.
I don’t mind this change. But give me a bone here. We are here since day 1 afterall.
Sure the megaserver system (with some flaws) gave this issue a solution. But seriously they had to stop there and not push this new leveling nonsense.
I’m a qqer. I’m open to the qq. But I fail to understand what the problem is. If you’re a vet you should know the game by now, you should know the world, you should know how to level your toon quick. It should literally take you but a few hours, at max, to hit lvl 15 (from mapping). At this point, what is locked, other than skills, that doesn’t allow you to explore? I’m not for or against the leveling rework this feature patch; I can’t be either or because I haven’t leveled a new toon since it’s been implemented. Only thing I know is, the maps and the stuff inside them are being used more than what they used to be. This is what I think Anet needs to continue to elaborate on.
You know I came to this game because I got hooked with the “vast exploration” of Tyria and the manifesto as a whole during the PR campaign. So before the release of GW2 I sat down and read trough the lore ( cause I missed GW1). I made my own walktrough for it with videos and infos and such. I’ve never been a key farmer. I’ve never been a fast roller. I just made 3 characters and all leveled them up to 100% map. 1 year later after release I made my first legendary. Since then I still make new characters I haven’t played just because of the exploration and fresh feels. I did all this till yesteday.
Yes I am a veteran player and I still love to play like a noob when making a new character. But this change dumbs me down so hard I don’t even find the will to even log in right now. And you know why? Because I AM A kitten VETERAN PLAYER.
Sure the megaserver system (with some flaws) gave this issue a solution. But seriously they had to stop there and not push this new leveling nonsense.
This video. I hope someone from anet actually watches it through.
Pretty please, undo this (along with the leveling/trait changes of the april pack).^ this 100%
I don´t want to be rude but, did they even test this stuff? It seems ABSOLUTELY obnoxious to me… I just can´t wrap my head around how they could have thought new players would actually enjoy this bullkitten more than the old system =/
I´m so glad I´ve already brought all my characters to 80 a long time ago.
Oh come on. I do have my characters up to 80 as well, but all this don’t even make me log in to the game. It like we’re playing a private server or something?!
Is this real life?
I salute Anet for making the updates permanent. Adding new zones more often will make the game even more awesome. The world is huge you know
You could be botting for two years now, thus we are all bots, so no.
I see you guys strech huge walls of text but in the end, one does not simply quit GW2. Being B2P, I see people leave for a short time, then come back playing and vice versa. Solid arguments are yhrown here but they will stay to wither and die here in this thread. Let it be..
I was left with the impression that Dociu did the loading screen art. Am I wrong?
What gets me about this thread is that it’s still going on. Okay, Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2 are two different games. No question about that at this point specifically.
The game is almost two years old. You’d think people who didn’t like the game would have got their refund at the time they could have, and moved on. Standing around repeating it again and again doesn’t change anything.
This game is not like Guild Wars 1. We get it.
It wasn’t like Guild Wars 1 a year ago. It’s not going to be like Guild Wars 1 next year.
When does it stop? When do people just accept this is a different game? What’s the point of reiterating it for this long.
Does it help them game? Is it constructive? Does it server a purpose?
If I never see another this game isn’t Guild Wars 1 thread, it won’t be too soon.
Imagine if they made Star Craft 2 a moba game or Need for Speed an RTS. Your point is invalid.
My point is valid. If they made a Star Craft 2 moba and advertised it as a moba, then people shouldn’t complain. And two years after release, they should have long since gotten over it.
I mean Warcraft WAS an RTS. They made it into an MMORPG. I’m sure some people didn’t like it, but you know, a couple of years in, they realized it was a different game. Going to the WoW forums to complain WoW isn’t an RTS would have been silly.
Again your point is invalid. Sure Warcraft is an RTS but they didn’t name WoW – Warcraft 4. I hope you understand that. Changing the core gameplay from one type into another and calling it continuation is completely different. Story wise it is acceptable.

Totally +1 !
US NASA channel does it, their government sites does it, and so on.. and their videos ain’t focused on other language speaking nations either. I’m fluent in English but hell even I can’t understand the jibberish sometimes they say, hence I don’t watch those videos rofl.
Or you can all cut the lecture on boring economics here and add the precursor crafting already? DEAL WITH IT So I wonder how many threads like this have to come up until something changes. 3 years? 5?
I mean.. I got my legendary few months ago; through bloody and sweaty sleepless nights. I don’t want any other, but I do feel for the new players, or those who are working on it already.
I don’t know about you guys but my TP now loads instantly on everything. I don’w know what’s the cause but thank god after 2 years it’s here!
Now we’re talking. Good move ANet. Thank you
Lord of the SWAG andd the fellowship of the BLING
Anyway I’m sure there other business models that the BLTC can provide, so that we and the company can benefit without hurting the gameplay. I still don’t know why they don’t come up with other ways for spendibg money in the shop. To date I am still willing to buy guaranteed items from the shop instead of gambling. Until then I will continue to spend less than 20bucks a month or so for bling.
It’s shallow. And..not fun. It’s obvious. But hey I’m having fub replying to you guys
Ok, so the way I see it. Developers look at the big picture of how the game economy is balanced around monetary and non-monetary rewards, how much gold goes in through faucets, how much gold goes out through sinks, and what events are too rewarding/not rewarding enough…..on a game wide level. Players have a tendency to think on a much more personal level that makes measures taken to balance the economy (or in this case, game experience) as a whole seem like a slight against each individual player. Yes, you have to consider that the gem store is a part of the in game economy, the devs certainly do. No, the gems store is not, realistically, the only metric they use to determine the cost of time and reward in game. Remember, sometimes the real answer is not one or the other, it’s often many things all at once.
then you should read about occam’s razer. The guy above u is correct. Proof every patch to date.
Holy kitten dude. But what if they were designed for somwhere else and now they are “re-programmed” because the original ones are gg. Logic..
Keep quiet. This is the last place…
We think it’s a bug.
Now instead of playing the new conteby I’m praying for this to be a bug. Let’s see what happens tomorrow.
I don’t mind this but consider they killed pretty much every farm spot in the game. I wonder what’s next.
Ok now go buy keys.. I’ll buy later from TP.
