You are assuming only +1AR drops where at higher fractal levels +5AR probably drops so progression won’t be as bad as you think. not to mention +5 sigils can be bought unless those change
A location for people who want to form squads and move up standing together as group. Schedule fotm runs. Squad formation is key to fotm runs as well as party balancing. Post classes and fotm level and form up. Update will be a mad race to the top of PVE standings. Good luck.
so then infusion drops are worth less cause one you can buy from venders +5AR is enough. but we already get 55 AR which is enough to get to 50 which they mentioned is the maxed designed up to for now.
maybe they will let us decompose for 10 ectos and dark matter. Maybe they will be sellable

40-49 has been slightly reduced. 50 is no longer impossible, but now represents the requirement for 50-59. More levels will be made available in the future.
I think they wanted to know agony resist need to survive agony at a given level with new update.

to get to 80 glitchs where used when fotm first got out from true pioneers of fotm. Afterwards people to 80 by only doing odds with people already at 80. People wont be able to do fotm 30 post update most likely because of AR change and simple infusion being turned into AR+1. So ya there is that. There is a week to update and you can still get to fotm 30 in that time fairly easily.
everyone above 30 is being dropped to 30. level we are talking about is fractal of mist level and not character level.

Fotm is part of living story in is subjected to radical and drastic changes. This is kinda expected movement of rewards to account based instead of character.
I think you don’t get dailies for going above 50 but it is not max level
With agony reset you wont be able to play at level 30 either let a lot 50 so what do you care.

Accept fotm difficulty is exponential. there fore g will be exponential and destroy the economy what is 2^50 power. 80-30=50. If anyting I agree there should be a title fractal master or something for those who actually got to 80 or some amount.
I currently have 2 level 50 characters getting affected by the new fractal changes. They are not only set back 20 levels, but also leveling the second one is completely meaningless now that the fractal level is account bound.
I wonder if there are any plans to reward players for the lost levels, like for example a double daily chest until they catch up to their previous level? And maybe an ascended weapon chest with selectable stats per additional character leveled over 30?
If you lived in an apartment building and they changed your apartment number from 50 to 30AC would you complain that you “lost” 20 room numbers?
Levels over 30 didn’t give you any benefit, so you aren’t losing anything when they change your meaningless rank into a meaningful one.

Accept vaule of an apartment complex and buildings in general is number of bed rooms or beds and not number of rooms. I would say that you are the owner of the apartment complex with 80 rooms and a hurricane just came through destroyed your building and now you only have 30 rentable rooms now. Analogy here works cause Anet controls weather in gw2 not you they can honestly say quit if you don’t think it is better.
maybe it will be point based with number of points added = level of fractal you did or weighted exponentially depending on the difficulty. However, it be funny to see a squad of 5 always rank 1 or competing squads of formers competing for rank 1 spots.

since they have two infusion slots like legendary weapons are they going to become legendary rank?
accept for Mossman becoming a giant and killing 2 with his ax as a one hit. But he does that with his ax throws anyway
Can the skins still be decomposed as ectos? and what happens to weapons with out stats that are equipped do they now become stateless skins equipped on a character?
Those slots have a lot more potential than just +5 now.

No worries your accomplishments are notable and you are allowed to be an elitist from them. Using rezing to advoid global damage how is that not an exploit? Using pet to rez out side of agony because it doesn’t take aoe damage how is that not an exploit? Exploit can probly be defined as anything removed from game because it makes it to easy. Getting to 80 though an easier version of the game is it actually a noteworthy existence? Being on an insurmountable pedestal cause of new game updates is that what you truly want?
With new fotm update and new system I think you should consider they are deleting the old one and adding a new one cause it truly will be that different. At least I hope.
Elen bought her votes by offering waypoint reduction. Also she did nothing in dungeons 0 helpfulness. So for 50 silver over course of 1 month people voted for her which for any 80 player by now know is worth nothing.

^-2nd argument is that they shouldn’t care cause all there alts are being place at a fairly high level in new fotms and that total levels are most likely more then initially had especially if you bought new character slots or are going to buy more characters. Only people being hurt truly hard by this are the people who made it to 80 early and I truly feel for them but I’m selfish and I prefer updates to fotm that for them to maintain there static of saying I’m an 80 expert. Anyway fotm at high levels is all squad building and this update definitely helps with that by allow use to use our alts. So expect people to level faster then they ever did in first version if you leave you cant get back in and second version. Should bring some new mechanics and keep them more interesting as you level.

We will see what the 30+ fractals bring before we say nothing is new. Cant really say that until it comes out can we
40% drop rate of fotm skins at level 48 so if you don’t have them I contest you aren’t really trying. Some one 2/5 in party always get skins. Im at 1k fotms

please if you count the levels you have sum of all characters. vs new levels you have on all characters you will have more levels post update
Only people have have right to complain are uber high 80 fotmers but as I said 80 is unattainable with current fotm from scratch so should anyone really be at that level now

So someone uses esploit to get 100k g in game and gets band for it. Gives you some 10k of what they make you don’t think anet should confiscate the gold? If you are in possetion of stolen or illegal goods they police will still confiscate it from you. Anyway new fotms and even current fotm can not be compared to one used to initially level to 80 you should consider they are removing fotm system and implementing anew one. fotm was added through living story and is subjected to change you should never have thought it was permanent content in the first place.

I’m pretty sure they did this so the people who abused bugs at jade maw to level up (using ranger pet revive, revive orbs, or that trick to res someone before Agony killed the team) wouldn’t have an advantage over those who were capped at 49. But those who did hit 49, is an issue I guess…. And those who used people to level up over 49 after those bugs were fixed got screwed over pretty much too…
Those arnt bugs, they are actual game mechanics that players found and used in way Gw2 Devs didnt think about, Just b.c a few players where smarter than the makers doesnt mean everone should be punished.
If they said ALL players will be revert back to level 49, then it would be a different story.
Well that was first when the only way to get past lvl 50 WAS this let’s call it exploiting. But with the patch where you could join any frac lvl you didn’t even have to use any kind of “bad e word” you could simply join an odd frac higher then 50 and there was nothing (it wasn’t even demanding just hard for your nerves…) that could have stopped you.
even odd paths will have bosses now so cant do that trick any more to level with the upcoming update. Though they might now have global Agony like maul though.

So what are you really loosing an log farm area. and it has been stated rewards for fotm are increasing on order of the dungeon update with champ update it isn’t even as good of a farm spot. Only thing you are losing is the prestige of saying im 80 and that is it.
No, people are losing literally, hundreds of hours of work. This is an insult to one of GW2’s most dedicated playerbases.
If anything, they should be giving people something for each FOTM PR level they are STEALING from everyone.
Most people got to 80 who really wanted to within first 2-3months fotm was out. Anet through removing glitch’s has now made reaching 80 impossible. What is benefit of those hours of work other then prestige of saying you are 80 and farming dense mob spots. Anet is most likely giving you equivalent rewards. So the only thing you are losing is the fact that you can no longer say you are 80. And if you are really a good fotmer you should stay at top of leaderboard and ranking the prestige. Like it or not fotm is considered the endgame of gw2 so the top of this leaderboard will be considered some of the top players of PVE even more then the achievement leaderboard. An the only think you lose is you cant physically say you are 80 for this opportunity. Cry me a rive and cool your head in it.

for all we know we will need 50AR to do level 20 so all this speculation isn’t good

I got over 30 fotm skins all but one type so I really don’t think they need to be made easier to get

They made it so you can only get short fractal for first ones and long one for last ones. Changed the randomness of fotm
