Anet reset everyone to zero and end this stupid debate. I am confident in my fotm abilities to get as high as I want found levels 50-80 boring I welcome the new content + better rewards. I really hope the lore of fotm is advanced by the update. Instabilities giving more insight into each fotm level.
Not really just kitten ed that maul at 50 is 2 hitting all squads I bring to it at 50 with 55AR. They removed rez trick so you take Agony when you rez so fail maul = failed run at high levels.
People think fotm is a equally stack cake difficulty wise. Where Anet wants to make it a reverse layered cake where each new layer ads a new level of exponential increasing difficulty. Which is why we got to wait and see for the release. I’m on the opinion 80s will be happy with rewards they get at new 30 and that other people who did much less work are being placed there also.

Every profession has aspects that make it different than the others. Sometimes those aspects can exclude a player from taking full advantage of certain bonuses from equipment. But that is not the reason those choices exist. The implementation of a signet-related rune is not an oversight, nor is it meant as a deliberate exclusion of the engineer profession. It is meant to be a new, interesting choice for players that want to use to signets and want to play professions that have them.
If such is true, how on earth was rune of perplexity ever allowed in to the game in any fashion? The mesmer has 2 trait lines with clear paths for a confusion build and a third for a few off-confusion traits. Yet these runes basically turns anyone who uses them into a better confusion-mesmer. What choice is there that matters in class builds when runes can be made that steal entire playstyles from existing classes and allow anyone to use them?
Let’s not forget runes of the sunless that were altogether useless for everyone. I think this is really part of a larger issue of rune concept and design not being what they had hoped.
IF it had 10 sec fear like teq everyone would be trolling eachother in wvw. Maybe they forgot a zero.

Why cant we discuss content removed which makes old version of fotm much easier then current one?
dodging the cannon blast is a simple side step inbetween the checkers so you don’t need to move far at all to avoid if you disperse and stand still. Vs runing around.
No you don’t have higher MF in higher fractal. They just change the roll table according to the fractal level. The result is the same for what the mobs drop, but if it was your MF that was changed then you would always have the same kind of reward in each chest level 1 like level 49. And its not the case.
For the precursors thing, there is nothing change about that in the new update. At least they didn’t talked about it anywhere officially. You should have the same chance to get precursors in fractal as you had before.
That I equivalent of what MF is suppose to do I have seen 5 precursors drop in various runs I have been in most where energizers. Who else can say you have seen that many drop to people in there party.

Anet why teq got exclusive ascended skins before fotm ill never know.
For as hard as Teq is to complete, I think the rare weapon skins are sufficient. The loot table’s RNG however makes doing that fight a waste of time to try.
I’ve done teq over 100 times never got the weapon. Got the mini though
As a Veteran player I’m confident I can get my levels back so I honestly don’t care and am happy with the increased rewards.
That doesn’t make it right to take it away from you nor anybody else.
Levels aren’t equivalent 80 of old fotm doesn’t equal 80 of new one nullifies argument. It can be considered that they are deleting old dungeon and adding a new one. Also the way AR is being reworked 5=1 you won’t be able to run 30s initially anyway. There will now be garneted final boss fights which I think most people of the 80 persuasion are jaded against.

And necessary for fotm high levels ages is most important boon for those. This might hurt engineer advancement in fotm by a lot however you made it so that alts can enter just as easly as mains so it should not be an issue.
in high level fotm one hits no matter what so it really doesn’t matter what armor you got. That said guard is only class that got advantage because of ages and heals. It is not because of there armor
don’t care to see epic battle of gods which literally vaporized and ocean into a desert would be worth it. In end we only get to see a nuclear explosion.

People cant understand that fractal levels are decided by a mad asura scientist investigating the mists. When she changes here experiment parameters everyone cant believe there eyes.

Progress to 80 is considered 30 in new fotm they just rounded everyone from 30 up cause they didn’t see any difficulty change between 30-80 hence same reward.
I don’t play fractals at all. I hate them, but I want to remind everyone here that in Anet’s eyes, yer all nothing but a vocal minority. Nothing will change unless you quit playing the game, which is not likely to happen.

However we are the minority that care most about this update so id think anet will care what we think. Also this is the end game of pve so we care about it quite a bit. Not to mention it is an interesting living story arc which has Ratasum being destroyed.
I got my first a greatsword at my first fotm 20. I said it once and ill say it again fotm skins are not hard to get at all if you do 2 fotm a day you will get 4 a week.
you get 2^fractal level-2/X points per fotm completion if there is an exponential scale in difficulty points gained per completion should reflect that.
If you think people made it to 80 by not using exploits(things that where removed or changed latter) at all when fotm first came out you make me laugh. Fact they made it so you have to face a boss with global agony at end with update probly means you cant advance without the AR now.

So you got to 80 through easier version of game anet decided 80 was to easy to get to so they made it impossible to get pass 50 cant rez at maul and maul one hits you. Is what you did really and accomplishment. And not just at maul you telling me you didn’t get to 80 during Mossman under bridge glitch and in tree glitch. ice stand in corner or cliff hammer. Harpy skip to last boss. Not dissing there amazing accomplishment though. Idea that fotm is same as it first came out is a joke
The 4kg make over kit from chest make it worth buying I think for those who like to gamble. Those who complain about an option rng should not denigh other option to play the lottery. and lastly they made all skins buyable on blt so cant complain about that anymore. So what is the point. Kiel was voted in cause new players wanted waypoint reduction when it only saved them 5 silver.
while I have only seen precursors drop in fotm and there is an increased magic find drop rate with increasing fotm levels. I don’t think it increases odds of precursor just more dice being rolled. At high level fotm every mob drops multiple drops.
