Issue: We are unable to upgrade to the 500 person slot for 2G. Why would we need to upgrade to 500 if we only have ~250? When inviting new members, we’ve received the message “Your guild is full” even though it isn’t (400 person limit).

We are on Sea of Sorrows. People are on around the clock, very active in WvW and run on the foundation of being a “good dude”. We like the people we play with because, well face it, you’ll be seeing us A LOT!
One of our officers was trying to add a new member to our guild with 240 members, we got the message that we were not allowed to add a new member. I am trying to increase our membership base to 500 (2 Gold upgrade) but I am getting the message..
“Hmm, your membership is not large enough. You need more guild members before I can give you a bigger license.”
The message when trying to add the new member was “Your guild is full.” We have bought up to the 400 size limit.
Is this a known issue? Any work around? Any and all help is appreciated!

Sea of Sorrows has one of the strongest NA and Oceanic populations in the game, plenty of recruits to be had, great WvW without queue times. European hours really just need a guild to step into that slot to recruit the players during that timezone, but it is our weakest in WVW. For PVX, you’ll find plenty of people looking to do any event during any time. We organize opening for the Orr Cathedrals every other night and WvW strategies that span cross guilds, sort of like an alliance that reaches through the whole server.
My guild works with Kurthos almost on a nightly basis and the amount of coordination and feeling of a "home"that Sea of Sorrows provides is nothing like I have seen before in a game. We are home to multiple serious WvW guilds. We offer cross-guild training, events and tons of knowledge sharing. Like Kurthos said, all servers are PvX, but if you want to be active in WvW that is where your choices are limited.

WvW needs coverage gaps, bottom line. Movement of NA to EU or EU to NA negates those gaps and creates stagnation on a bigger scale.
Even though NA T1 has been the same match up for a while, we are still having a blast and some inner-guild rivalries have been brewing. Guilds like UL and SF get us excited because we know it’s going to be a good fight!

For fear of them mucking up the beautiful thing that is Wv3 I would rather have them change nothing outside of culling, bugs, and exploitable terrain.
They start adding gear then stats are on it and it becomes a grind fest. Doesn’t everyone just enjoy actually PLAYING the game? I love playing wvw, not farming or grinding for wvw.
Cosmetics are kind of a cool idea but once you open that gate of WvW gear I’m too afraid of what it might turn into.

I’d love WvW only gear. I want to load into a borderland, throw on my “battle armor”, feel like a gladiator getting ready for battle! Purely cosmetic of course. I agree with the terms of the major stuff (game breaking) needs to be fixed first, but I think that in the Feb patch they should at least add other stuff to work towards than “omg #1 server” and 250,000 kills. Guild recognition, commander commendations, etc are items that will prolong the average persons experience in Wv3.

Its a world wide game, when is it not prime time somewhere in the world?
We’ve had countless times where we get booted from WvW at 10pm PST. Gotta roll with the punches.
These are all EU servers which means 8PM is prime time for WvWvW in this part of the world. I am not complaining about night capping etc. just about the fact that they roll-out new builds while most of the WvWvW players are active. If you were successkittenlly defending an outpost for almost an hour and then lost it just because it was closer to the opposing borders after the reset you would also be kitten off.
EDIT: And for gods sake people fix the ridiculous filtering of words causing normal words like successkittenlly to be replaced with kittens.
I never mentioned night capping?
Aren’t all servers patched at the same time? We all get thrown curveballs in WvW, like I said, learn to roll with the punches. We’ve had hour long sieges blown up because of patches and downtime so I know exactly where you are coming from.

Although we are heavily attuned to crushing faces in WvW, FoE is starting to look towards sPvP and tPvP with small groups already starting to be created. Our tournament teams are looking for a kick in the rearend and you might be that boot!

Looks like IoJ has finally come out to play. Might take half a day for SoS to come back out in full force, but hopefully we can get some good skirmishes for rest of week going. Hopefully this is a preview of what next week might bring. It’s hell boring owning 100%…
I’m not in eternal atm, (it actually has a queue for first time since weekend I think) but you guys (IoJ) are somehow pushing us (SoS) back on 2 fronts at once. Curious what’s going on!
We were in EB when TL/IDOL started to make a push, pretty much ended up as a 45 minute turtle in the lowlands keep. They had ~60 people in the turtle which pretty much was pointless to try and counter. We just couldn’t compete with 60 players stacked in 1 spot using what is best defined as an “extreme use of game mechanics”.
I had to leave shortly after that stalemate sadly and didn’t catch what happened after that.
