I would not have bothered making it had I realized it only shows the aura and footsteps when wielding the rifle and nothing when using the kits.

But my opinions aside, here is a quantitative comparison from someone who used both a good amount.

- Naga is heavier and more solid. If you like a heavier mouse, that feels very solid, you’ll want the Naga. The G600 feels very light by comparison. Like, I feel like if I punched the G600 it would break. The Naga felt like it would just laugh at me and break my hand.

- G600 has the third clicker they call G-shift. Naga doesn’t have a third clicker. (This is a huge factor in my love of this mouse. The third click is wonderful.)

Lol.. how personal a mouse is. The two things above are exactly opposite for me, with the exception of quality as it is definitely a fab quality product.

To me the G600 is like a big lump of lead at times… Due to the 3rd mouse G-shift key on the outside it is also incredibly wide.

Ergonomically I can not comfortably lift the mouse to re position it if I have to – for example doing consecutive tight turns or fights in a small area- the mouse is just too heavy and too wide. So I’ve had to disconnect the G-shift key.

I suppose it could also depend on whether you use your mouse to move you char – as I do – or use WSAD.

I completely understand the love for the G600, it is a fabulous mouse of good quality. I play with one too… having said that, I don’t like it because it just does not fit my hand properly. There are 12 buttons on the side,but I can only reach 6 of them in any sort of comfort, I’ve had to disconnect the 3rd mouse button on the side because I could not reposition the mouse without accidentally triggering it and honestly… its just plain too big for my not-very-large female hands.

If you do decide you’re interested in this mouse I can strongly recommend you try it out somewhere or buy it somewhere where you can return if you are not happy.

I’ve had it for almost a year and I still find my hands cramping and uncomfortable. In fact, so much so that I’ve ended up buying a Razer Orbweaver… now the Orbweaver.. THAT my friend.. THAT is heaven.

Another leveling tip is the use of the bonus from the Fireworks from the recent Chinese New Year celebration. They can be used in addition to the food and utility buff and give you an additional 10% bonus on top of ALL xp that you get… that includes opening up new areas, doing hearts, events and even the xp from personal stories (which is a lot). So not just the bonus on kills.

It says in the description that it does not work in wvw, which in my experience is not true. You can not activate them in wvw, but if you activate them while you are still in PvE, it will function while you are in wvw .

The Krytan Explorer Achievement is account bound over all your characters. Once you have it, they all have it.. even future toons that have not set foot in Kryta yet.

No matter what one may think of the content… I played for nearly two hours without any serious glitching, bugging out or disconnecting.

If the object is a stress test… so far so good on my side of the game.

Without anyone knowing what parameters Arenanet has truly used to pick this group of players for this Beta stress test, how can anyone take such personal offence or have such emotional reactions to what is obviously a generic email?

I had Storm drop for me in the underground Labyrinth in Silverwastes from one of those little purple chests you have to gather there.

Nearly gave me a heart attack, because precursors are mythical illusions they don’t actually drop for someone like me…

Ah, I had not fully realized the impact of them… just thought they looked delightful and that as the novelty of this rediscovered bug would wear off they would probably disappear again. If indeed they are not as malign as they seem, a fix is totally justified of course.

There are a million of them now that it has been announced that there is a fix on the way though…

This is the first time I can honestly say I would be very disappointed by a bug fix… I think these toy golems are hysterical.

Someone is running around Rata Sum with about 50 of them in tow atm… I think it is a great way to have a good giggle :-)

5 Matches is absurd, they don’t even ask for that many as part of a regular pvp daily. If you’re unlucky you play for hours without winning 5 matches, depending on who your team mates are and your opposition is.

There’s quite a bit of map chatter, but no one seems to know the answer. I, and many others, have won rounds of dragon ball (four so far) , but seem to have received no rewards for them at all.

Does anyone know why? Or am I missing something?

In my experience they are very willing to help and do realize that we are all human and can make mistakes. You would not be the first who sees their gem store purchase returned after a mistake like this. So do make a ticket and be patient!

I would love to know this too, because I would love to upgrade as well but there is no way I am starting another account to do this. Was hoping the upgrade in the gem store would be on sale too…..but alas

Wonder why Anet have not included the gem store upgrade to Digital Delux upgrades in the sale. I would have loved to have upgraded rather than buying a new account and having to start from scratch. It seems like a bit of a missed opportunity to me.

I understand what you are referring too as I recently had a similar experience. I had completed the final boss fight on the last Living Story achievement and wiped more than a few times doing it.

When I checked my hero panel it said that my chest piece was broken (red icon), but my character was still running around Rata Sum in a fully rendered armor set. So the chest piece was showing even though he should have been bare chested. So yes, I do recognize your post.

I can buy Wynne’s Locket at the vendor in SW for 1000 crests and 10 Gold.

I don’t know if that’s because it has been added during the last patch or whether it is because I have completed the achievement. It’s definitely worth having a look if it would save you from having to do Wicked Rodeo :-)

Having said all this, all the other armor pieces (save the chest piece) are now available to buy as well, which was not the case before the patch.

+1 I find this a really troublesome feature of the TP as it means I have to be very, very carefull about what I end up putting in the fields. The fields for the amount of products and the field for the gold are way to close together for an “auto” feature like this.

I would very much prefer just clicking in a field to activate it. Rather than the auto activation making the process quicker, I find it slowed me down a lot.

And another tip to help you get more notes right:

do yourself a favor and turn OFF the sound. It will make a huge difference :-)

I found hearing other player’s notes and mistakes to be hugely distracting.

The only plus to this whole thing is that the laurels are now tied in to logging in and not to doing the daily, if I understand things right.

Especially because the AP rewards have been far from lackluster and I will never get the full set of either reward armor , or I have to keep playing this game for another 5 years or so.

But that’s just it they are not obtainable both ways.

You get one set from the first character you finish the LS episode on and the rest you have to grind + 1 gold. The option to run with alts is not available for the gloves.

I don’t even have a problem with the 1000 crests per piece.

It’s the additional 1 gold that irks me.

Grind AND pay 1 gold per piece of armor… so 2000 Bandit crests and 2 gold to get the luminescent skin

Added info: my husband mains lvl 80 guardian and is on the same story step (Victory or death with only the dungeon instance remaining) and had no problems at all.

However, just now when I asked him to check this to be sure, he clicked in the top right hand green icon for his personal story… and it froze the game and the pc. After doing ctrl +als + del into task manager the mouse icon was still GW2 magnifier glass icon.

Now there is a luxury problem if I ever heard one :-P

I use a Logitec G600 aswell. I am a female with relatively small hands

The Logitec G600 is a great mouse and the functionality is fantastic, but..

I find it too large for my hand to use properly. My hand tends to slide backwards to the smaller end of the mouse, ending up with my wrist resting on the table surface. So I only have access to 6 out of the 12 side buttons (G15-20). I can not hold it stable in the “optimal” position and when if I do try then again struggle to get access to all the buttons.

It is also both a very wide and heavy mouse and picking it up when running out of “arms length”, for instance or when doing consecutive tight turns (like a spiral staircase for instance), I find it clunky and end up sliding my down onto the back of the mouse. Again loosing access to the front 6 buttons. I have also had to disable the “third” mouse button (large button on the right side – I believe it’s called G), to be able to pick up the mouse without accidentally triggering it all the time. I use it as a finger rest :-P

I have come to the conclusion that the idea of the mouse is great, but that design wise it leaves a lot of room for improvement. I have resigned myself to using only 6 side buttons and use some keyboard control as well.

It will also depend a lot on how you normally grip your mouse. I can only strongly recommend that you to try this mouse out before you buy it.

My husband, who has quite large hands, finds that there is limited easy and rapid access to the buttons with any degree of accuracy, when in battle mode. He’s having problems controlling the mouse wheel in the middle, because of the size of his fingers and for instance finds pushing the wheel left of right (like I do for strafing) impossible.

We are beginning to think about using a combination of ordinary mouse in conjunction with a gaming pad.

Good luck in finding a mouse that suits! It is so personal.

Celestial armor with zerk/cav/knights trinkets works great in any part of the game as long as you dont want to do harcore dungeon speed runs every night. You do less damage than full zerk but it gives you room to learn fights, and who really cares if a run takes 15 minutes instead of 12. Once you get better at the game and learn every dungeon path then it might be worth getting a full set of zerk gear for speed runs, but doing it the second you hit 80 is not a good idea.

Runes is up to you, divinity/traveler work well, strength is also good but its expensive, flame legion or fury are good alternatives if youre low on gold. Battle and energy sigils are also expensive but really useful.

Having multiple weapons would help, itd be worth making a soldiers staff for large scale wvw/pve, a zerker dagger/focus for fights you know, and probably a celestial dagger/focus for harder fights or wvw.

It’s not really possible to have a build good at both wvw and pve, because they are so different. At the very least, you’ll have to change your traits and skill bar.

here is a really good pve build.

here is a decent wvw build. I tried to keep the armour the same as the above build as much as possible but I changed the trinkets because otherwise you’ll just insta-die. Bear in mind D/F isn’t that great for WvW anyway, but if you’re just zerging this should be fine.

I suppose this is the sort of thing I would be looking for.. a single set of armor, with the same runes. One time investment. Swapping around some trinks is less problematic than changing everything.

How about celestial, would a celestial build be any use? I’ve got the charged quartz, so that’s no obstacle.

I have levelled my D/F ele up to 80 and have really enjoyed the ride.

However, now comes the moment for big (and expensive) decisions… what kind of build to run.

I do enjoy a bit of everything in the game (though I haven’t done pvp) and I don’t really want to carry 3 sets of armor/weapons to be able to play the game.

Is there a Swiss Army Knife multi-purpose D/F build that I could go into wvw with and also carry my weight in a dungeon or pve?

I appreciate it will probably not excell at any area in particular and it must be playable by a somewhat ele-noob please :-)

Did you have the same problem with the original release of the skins?

The original release was bad. This is actually worse, because the chances are way lower, and it turns all the other players into enemies. In a cooperative game, this is a kitten move.

Enemies even…. wow.

Its a chance of getting a skin you may otherwise not have had, using a drop that you get for free just by opening a random bag.

No more, no less. It’s not even pvp.

I have a banking char that I use only for that purpose: to hold stuff.

No play, no farming… just bags with stuff. Ascended stuff. Like all my stacks of dragonite ore, empyreal shards and bloodstone dust.

Once my collectibles tab for that material fills up with 250, I transfer them into this char.

However, I have noticed more than a few times that when I go back to this char my stacks of 250 seem to have somehow magically reduced themselves.

Like Mawdrey II, III and IV have had a midnight snack from my bags.

Has anyone else noticed this? I have sent off a bug report in-game, but am curious whether more people have this issue….

In the attachment you can see that all the three different types have numbers missing off one or more stacks. It does not seem to happen to other crafting materials btw.. just the ascended things.

The fix did not work for me either.

Ironically I can only access the regular trade post and NOT the gemstore and exchange.

This fix does not work for me, unfortunately.

I can however get to the regular Trade Post by clicking on that tab. It seems to be just the gem store that is affected for me.

Concerning right clicking and then selecting sell/buy more at the TP, that’s not necessary for me as it seems to be only the Gem Store that is affected.

When I open the tab and get this load screen (as it defaults to the Gem store) and then subsequently click on the tab for the regular Trade Post where I would buy and sell for instance armor and weapons, that comes up as normal.

There is no way for me to get to the Gem store though.

So I open the trade post and am greeted by this (see attachment)

Solved: it shows three dyes, but it is not obvious that you have to choose only one.

Once you pick one, the accept button becomes active.
