This is actually a valid observation. I had no idea since I am not hanging out in low lvl areas and farming mats there would just be too boring for me as lvl 80 LOL…but I agree if this is as bad as you state something should be done about it. However, ONLY lvl 80 mobs dropping the mats is a bit much. I would give it a + 1, if it was lvl 40+ or lvl 50+ mobs
Don’t have to make ALL weapons dyeable then, do you? ._.
How about making weapons dyeable, that don’t have other color sisters and brothers. Or how about making at least the hilt parts dyeable for ‘standard looking’ weapons. To allow to make matching looks with armor. Because as of right now, if you go for a certain armor look, you have VERY few weapons if ANY to chose from that will match your look with is super annoying.
It would be…
Quaggan
Kodan
Tengu
In that order for me.
I recently deleted my lvl 80 fully exotic and ascended geared Charr Guardian because I just couldn’t take the horrible clipping issues, vanishing horns and manes anymore. And I have never, in any game before, ever deleted a max level, fully geared character. For ANY reason. That should say a lot…
If you want it all in one day, buy the mats on the TP…you CAN buy the time gated ones you know.
I am thankful for the time gate, makes it so not everyone brags about having 10 ascended weapons the first day. Thank Anet
Since we are a it…PLEASE remove mini pets from the “Deposit All” function!!!
I can’t ever use the deposit all function, because it stores away my mini pets as well
The exploding flowers are the ones now moving with the wind…jus a tip
As for the invisible spikes: they are only cool, because they are invisible and you have to memorize where they are. It wouldn’t be a challenge anymore, if you could just see them O_o
Master of Baubles World 1 Z3 still bugged?

I don’t know what you guys are doing wrong, but it IS fixed. It is working just fine. I ran several guild events through this to complete the achievement and nobody has had an issue. You must be missing something.
Given clones have the same priority as players…how about spirits and minions? Am I the only one seeing this as the possible biggest nerf ever to rangers and necros in wvw and sPvP? O_o
Can I get confirmation on the way the tab targeting changes will work? Will players have a higher priority than Ranger spirits, necro minions and mesmer clones? If so I won’t be playing any more WvW or sPvP ever as all three classes rely very heavily on enemies having to target the player purposefully – it would be a HUGE nerf for any PvP content to have tab targeting prioritize players over clones, minions and spirits…
It is so so bad to start playing video games with your kids that young. The skills she learns doing SAB can be learned a hundred other, healthier ways. However. She is doing a great job and having fun and I have to admit the video is super cute. I still wish she was building a fort outside instead or something :P
World 1 Zone 1, try going into the first shop the glove thingy points you to. You actually need to visit that first shop so maybe that is it.
For World 2, it is NOT that bugged cloud that doesn’t spawn a rainbow, because that cloud was bugged when I did it and I DID get the achievement So don’t worry about that one at least.
I just have to say that the forums way of censoring 8-kittenaracter if you don’t use the space in the right place is HILARIOUS -rofl-
I am proud to say that I finished all of World 2 yesterday without a guide <3 It was impossible for me before the patch, but all the bug fixes make it absolutely doable now. It took me several hours. Yes. I used the infinite coin. Yes. I got frustrated a lot. Yes. But I made it. And I am proud of it and glad it wasn’t easier, because if it was, I wouldn’t have a reason to be proud right now.
As for tribulation mode: there is no reason to make it easier, as long as there is one person that manages to finish it. It is MEANT to be super hard and not doable for a huge number of people. Not sure If I will be able to do World 2…World 1 I did and it was a lot of FUN!!!
The only issue I am having is the length of the zones in world 2 combined with crash issues – if your game crashes to no fault of your own you have to start all over and THAT truly annoys me.
This is fixed. I am coming back to all the bug posts I had trouble with. I re-checked this again today and it works fine. Do it in infantile mode if you are having trouble! Stealth works perfectly fine, the only thing that can mess you up is dying before the very last checkpoint, being sent back to the one at the hillbillies and aggroing them that way. Else wise this achievement is now fixed and works just fine.
Just want to confirm here, that it IS fixed. If you are not getting it, you are missing something. Make sure you get the baubles inside the chests as well as the ones in the open world! Also do not leave the zone until you get teleported as it seems to sometimes award the achievement a bit late.
I have done it myself on 9/8/13 and run a bunch of guildies through as well. World 1 Zone 1, 2 and 3 now work perfectly fine. Thanks Anet!!!
I have reported this several times already, but it still persists. This has been in game since launch. It is not my PC, my system, my sound card or anything else on my end, only GW2 does this, no other game, no other program, nothing else.
All of a sudden, without a warning, the sound in game just spasms out completely. It’s hard to describe, kind of like a super loud white noise sound with twitches. Everything freezes and I have to reset my PC to get rid of it. The only way to ‘fix’ this so far is to use very specific sound settings in game. I had found them almost a year ago, but recently changed my sound settings because I had forgotten about it – now I am getting the sound crashes again and can’t find the forum thread anymore with the precise settings to avoid it. So yeah. It’s VERY annoying.
NOTE: This is not the known “Siren Bug”, where you get the wooo…wooo…kind of sound. It’s a very loud and sudden white noise type sound.
No, I didn’t read all of that.
If you suggest to implement mechanics that force to switch out UTILITY SKILLS for certain boss encounters – I am all for it.
If you suggest mechanics that require to run specific BUILDS or use specific WEAPONS for certain boss encounters – Hell No.
That is my short version
This is…weird… O_o
I get the idea and I kind of like it, because it still takes the same amount of time, effort, gold etc. to aquire all weapons in the first place – but once you got them and they are fused you wouldn’t have 6 weapons taking up your inventory space with the constant fear of accidently deleting one lol
Making the 1% automatically count towards your luck upon completion of the monthly would eliminate hoarding and give something to look forward to, once you are in the 200%s…not such a bad idea IMO
LOL? A chat box in the middle of the screen during something involving PvP? Okay…O_o
How about teamspeak. Mumble. Ventrilo. Ever heard of those? Good commanders join voice communication servers for their server, meet with their zerg and other commanders there and organize that way :O OMG! Problem solved. Mapchat really isn’t good for much except calling something out quick here and there for the map that is not on the voice com to see…
I am glad Living Story is temporary because so far what I have seen…I wouldn’t want it to stay around. The only thing I miss is Zephyr Sanctum. Everything else – Thank God it’s gone.
And yet another one of these threads.
1. Aether Blade Farm WAS nerfed. You probably missed it, because you didn’t want to see it, because it would make your argument invalid. The amount of champs spawning has been DRASTICALLY reduced. You now need HUGE numbers to make champs spawn and most of the time it spawns 1 instead of 2. So much for ’No Nerf" LOL
2. Farming Aetherblades has NEVER stopped any of the maps I was in from finishing the event. Not if everybody did it right. LOL! Guess what – it’s not just the farmers who can mess up the success of an invasion…I have farmed every single invasion I played and I only ever failed about 4 times. So. This argument is just SO invalid.
Good job trolling. Now go back to doing SAB like you have been the past 2 days. ROFL
Do you even realize, that all you have to do is use in-game gold to buy that Coin? O_o It’s around 25-30g depending on the daily rate and by no means is that out of reach of ANYBODY who has played the invasions, does a bit of champion or dungeon farming etc. etc.

So I just gave this another try and still the first rapids/water spout section in Zone 1 constantly knocks me back. Impossible to continue. Just so frustrating.
Also a general note: making normal mode World 2 easier and doable for normally skilled players is by no means taking anything away from anybody’s work. Normal mode should – as the name states – be doable by the grand scheme of players. For everyone who thinks it’s oh so easy – you can go have fun in tribulation mode. No need really to frustrate all regular players TWICE…

I haven’t come very far in world 2 due to one issue:
When jumping on the water spouits, even if I have plenty of time with them being active and I land perfectly on them, they shoot me into the rapids as if I had landed in the moving water. This makes progressing absolutely impossible for me and after spending over an hour at that first water spout spot after those first two spinning flower things I gave up.
I have gotten the achievement for World 1 Zone 1 and 2 without problems. Zone 3 is bugged. There is one bauble missing on the log in the room right before the end boss. You go into a log, through a hole in the log onto the log and there are supposed to be 5 baubles there – but there are only 4. I have done this twice now, very time consuming and very frustrating. I have definitely gotten ALL other baubles, followed a guide step by step and took a lot of time to make sure I got it all.
I also finished the zone, killed the toad endboss and even waited for the timer, also finished the cart and then waited for the timer again. Still nothing. You were supposed to get the achievement after killing Kind Toad.
Zone 3 is bugged. Zone 1 and 2 work fine.
Same for me. I did this yesterday and today, so twice and followed a guide as well. And for me as well, the 5th bauble, that was supposed to be on the log, was not there. I definitely got all the other baubles. This is a VERY time consuming achievement to get and it being bugged is pretty frustrating. I also sent in a support ticket after not getting the achievement the second try just now.
Please fix this and PLEASE don’t make me do it again…
Not going to say anything about if world 2 is too hard or not – but PLEASE make it so, that you can start from your last checkpoint when you disconnect, the game crashes or the likes. PLEASE. It is impossible to ever finish world 2 if every time you get kicked out for whatever reason you have to start all over at the beginning of a zone.
Time Gating is being implemented to force players to log on daily so that it appears as if the game has a huge amount of people playing every day. Don’t try and fool anybody into thinking any other way, because that’s the sad truth.
I wasn’t looking forward to this update and now seeing how the whole ascended crafting works I am so sick of it. Why not make it so that the days you miss logging on, you can still craft your time gated mats?!
Don’t log on for 14 days, still be able to craft 14 days worth of time gated mats once you log on again. That way, every player can craft the same amount of mats in the same time. That would be fair. But no. You have to log on every day to be allowed to craft that days mats. Sickening.
I officially +1 this funny thread :o
At least 50% of the player base will leave and never come back if there is 0 loot…LOL What kind of suggestion is this even? O_o
See your damage: sure.
See other peoples damage: No thanks.
Been there, done that, so sick of it, please don’t let that kind of bullkitten come into this game.
We’re good now, never increase.
This is so subjective. To me ‘grind’ includes stuff I have to do in game in order to get something that is required for playing. I do need gear. So if I want ascended items there are certain things I HAVE TO do to get them. That for me is a grind.
Everything else – no. I don’t HAVE TO do anything else to enjoy the game, be competitive and do well.
PvP – hell no, I don’t have to grind anything there. All rewards are aesthetic, I don’t need ANYTHING besides what I get right away when starting to compete on the highest level.
WvW – nope. Not a grind. Despite what people might think you do not NEED the new ranks or any of the other stuff to compete and play well here. Sure it helps, but it’s not necessary. So you can just enjoy it and play for fun.
PvE – the only grind is the one for a full exotic (soon ascended) set of gear. And even that, if you are not competitive you can stick with greens you get from drops and never care. Everything else is your choice.
This thread again? They already nerfed the amount of champions that spawn and you are still not happy.
Today I did about 8 invasions, all of them were heavily farmed and all of them succeeded to kill Scarlet. So don’t give me that nonsense that farmers make events fail. If you are organized enough you can farm AND win the event. If you are just an unorganized bunch however, I doubt you would have succeeded without the farmers either…
OK you guys keep trying to tell everyone, that APS were the only people there…good night, time to go to sleep and dream of more fun times next time -chuckles-
Please don’t forget to mention FAs numbers on the map also…XD
This is my first visit to this forum and probably my last…LOL I got a link to that QQ screenshot of the three TC guilds working together via facebook so here I am. Laughing. The left ‘zerg’ consists of less than 10 ppl. Yeah. Our guild had less than two full groups at that time. We had an AWESOME time fighting this evening, some great battles of back and forth and a nice match-up of different tactics at several sites for over 4 hours straight. Everybody was having a good time.
So sad that some people have to complain about losing. If you lose, it either means you were not good enough, or it means you didn’t have enough numbers. Either way – you feel the need to try and make others feel bad for winning? XD That’s just so bad. So so bad. I am very proud of our little group from tonight, we did awesome and will keep doing even better in the future <3 And thanks to everyone for the great fights tonight!
Another one of these threads…
GS auto attack hits for 10k? Give me, what you are smoking, k thanks.
Phantasmal Berseker needs a nerf? I am full out dps spec (including traits) and IF it hits and IF it crits, it gets up to 14k. Not a single time have I seen anything higher than that and even 14k crits happen VERY rarely. It’s usually about 10-11k.
Mesmers need to be countered with conditions and stun/ccs. Not hard to do if you put some attention on your own build rather than asking for a mesmer nerf -.-
I sure hope I’m not the only one finding this new mechanic super annoying…XD
If you take away champ loot, I guarantee you, nobody will show up for the invasions anymore LOL The whole reason we have tons of overflows and full maps is because of the people farming the champs…
As for the reasoning: farming champs is much more profitable than just doing the events waves and moving on right after the event is done. People seriously still argue, that the end reward makes up for not farming champs which is just crazy. It’s fine if you don’t want to farm, but it is totally logical, that people who do this for money would farm and not try to complete the invasion as fast as possible…
Stop complaining about people not playing the game like YOU want them to play it. Another one of these threads really? You want to farm? Farm. You want to do the events and try to progress to Scarlet? Go right ahead. Either side has to freaking stop telling people what to do or not to do. I for one am farming the heck out of those champs, I don’t feel like wasting an hour of game time to get the end reward – it’s so much more profitable (and fun for me) to farm the champs! Yet I don’t run around telling everyone how they have to farm champs with me. Just get over yourself and let people play however they want to.
I am on 250 tickets for Liadri and considering just quitting the game. I know I won’t, but I have not ever been this frustrated with something. I know I will be doing her 24/7 until I finish it or until the content goes away – but it sure as hell is ruining the fun for me. Doing it because I feel pressured into getting the mini, the achievement and the points. I am a completionist and no matter how often people tell me to just quit, I can’t.
So yeah…250+ tries on Liadri. Mesmer, Ranger, Warrior. All possible builds, gear combos and whatnot. I got her down to under 10 pct health a bunch of times and then I time out. Pure frustration. I don’t complain often about anything, especially not, that something is too hard. But yeah. Liadri is.
I’d like to see temporary content from time to time, that leads to permanent content. Like the Southsun Events, that gave us a new zone. Armors and weapons from temporary content should ALWAYS be permanently available after the temporary content that brought them is over. Same for zones. I am so sad that I am at the point, where I feel pressured to ply every day. I don’t have the time, but I really don’t want to miss out on all the cool stuff! I love this game, been with GW for a long time and would hate to, in 5 years, see how I missed half of the content because I had to…work OMG!
Yeah. Temporary content from time to time is fine – seasonal events for example. But temporary content every 2 weeks and no chance to ever catch your breath is absolutely bleh.
Nobody but the players that race for APs cares about leaderboards. 90 pct of GW2 players don’t care. Maybe even more. So no, leave them there for the people to argue about.
If only, if only the content wasn’t temporary. I really honestly believe this is the WORST choice possible – doing it on a 2 week basis and making everything temporary. If I ever can’t play every day anymore and have to take, say a 1 month brake, I will already miss 2 content patches. GW2 will become a game for the unemployed, the kids that go to school, seniors that are retired…people with a job will sooner or later not be able to keep up. Just sad.
Stop the temporary content. Seriously.
