If you watch the gamebreaker for this week exlixabeth says she got the perm trader item for what she called 2 handfulls of keys
Blackfoot, you are most likely correct. because the first time i bought gems it worked fine. i bought as many as i could(4000 i think) 2 times. then the next day i was declined.
I bet there is a limit on how many you can buy in a certain time frame in case your account gets hacked with your card still saved in there
Very solid arguments Risingashes.
Removing the limit on buy/sell orders has no negative effect on the general buyers/sellers while making trading much more efficient. If anything it helps the economy because more efficient trading only means it’s easier for traders to fight AGAINST EACH OTHER.
I know some people hate traders because they make money while seemingly doing nothing, but actually if you’re not a trader, you want as many traders participating in the economy as possible because it means more competition and smaller profit margins, ultimately benefiting the general economy.
You have it backwards it has no positive effect on anyone trying to do anything but kitten over everyone with huge market grab/markup, If raised alot it will have the bad effect of making it quick and easy to monoply and kitten over everyone.
from the dungeon about 1 per 3 runs
I would like to see more dungeons like this or with invis walls once the boss fight starts to stop the stupid death runs terrible players have gotten used to.
There is 0 reason why we need more than 250 limit on a single transaction other than someone wants to kitten over everyone by getting all of something and reselling it higher.
Both the bosses you mention are not that bad.
There are 5 main story line characters that all have relationships with each other…the story is their relationships with each other as much as it is about you. AC is the story between Ritlock and Eir… just do them they do tie in to your personal story line even if you don’t see it yet
Nothing in AC has been nerfed. I have been running that dungeon pretty solidly since release, besides a few bug fixes nothing has been changed. Also burrow hitboxes are still pretty iffy.
Negative I ran it several times before and the scorpian wire guy and the burrows are very very different. Before if noone dodge the entire party and every pet would be sucked in and dead. Now if you all forget to dodge a few pets will die and maybe 1 person get sucked in who can just dodge roll back out and live… you don’t really even have to dodge his wires much any more…
And the burrows you used to have stand in very specific places just to be able to hit them at all and not get obstructed messages. So no this dungeon is NOT the same old same old it always was… Before it was a pain in the butt that we rarely ran. But we went back in today because we had someone wanting gear from there and it was laughable easy.

Ah didn’t know as I had not been there in a while due to the burrow hit box issue. Either way its a joke now reguardless of when they did it.
Was the scorpian wire guy nerfed before too or was that new?
So are burrows easier to destroy? What makes it easier no on the Collosus(sp) path?
The burrows hit box is fixed now they drop in seconds. We actually got to the end of the burrows with about 7% to go and just sat there looking around wondering why there were no mobs or burrows spawning any more…we ran out of mobs lol
Belmont> And we had 1 guy in there in almost full yellows
Also the guy with the scorpian wires was missing some wires he can only grab like 3-4 things now instead of everything and everyone. And we had 2 people get hit, sucked in and live to tell about it. Since when can you get sucked in and dodge roll back out and live? It also looked as if my bear was beween him and me that the bear would take the wire for me. So send in your pets and your summons.

OK we all know AC was one of the more challenging dungeons for a fresh group. It is also the first dungeon most people see… I even thought it should probably be more friendly in explorer mode due to being the first dungeon…
But holy kitten… ran it 2 times today and we slaughtered the place. Every single person in the group agreed it is now the single easiest dungeon of them all. Did you mean to do this? The collous roumblous path (spelling sucks) is in many way easier now than the old CoF path that people were speed running.
Addendum for clarity, super fast means < 30 minutes, and even then you must hit that speed multiple times in a row before you start seeing any impact.
20min seems like a more appropiate #. I don’t want to have to start telling my friends wait we cant kill this last guy til our MF food buff wears off….

In the event an exploit happens that allows players to clear different dungeon paths quicker than expected, the DR system also kicks in.
Please tell me doing a dungeon quickly because you know what you are doing and have good gear is not an exploit now. My group kills everything in its path and don’t glitch out anything or any nonsence. We should not get hit for killing quickly.
Also we constantly have the same person getting deminished rewards while the rest of us don’t even though we run together. Clearly you have a bug if 5 people run 4 dungeons together and only 1 gets hit and the other 4 don’t…and it happens day after day.
“So, HotW’s Path 2. Took 1 hour, 4 DC’s during the dungeon, 4 silver in armor repairs, and one rare with 40% magic find. First run of the day 26silver, 17 silver for rare, 20 silver in items sold. Net total of 59 silver in one hour. Even if we were able to do the dungeon in 30 minutes it’s still well below your “1.4G” per hour. Don’t make up numbers”
Check your math 30min is a normal run time in there so using your #s and a real time you got 63s in a run that I suggested gets me 70s and you want to call your 1 run sample so far off that i am making stuff up because I got 10% more out of it than you? I assure you with a sample of 1…the margin of error is far greater than 10%….
But even using your #s with a good clear time of 30min still gives you…1.26 G per hr…not exactly way off my 1.4G per hr. And apparently finding a 10% difference in your sample of 1 upset you so bad that you went and read all my other posts I ever made? LMAO
PS> While path 2 is the easiest it’s also the slowest. And next time you want to accuse me of making stuff up…you should make sure you didn’t pretty much prove my statement true with the data you toss out to prove it wrong

It’s called guild and friends takes about 5min to put group together then you go hit each of them 1 time each or some of them a 2nd time on a different path. You get the full amount every time, get 1 yellow for another 18-20s get 1 crafting drop (not the best one) for another several silver and sell all the junk and yes it’s about 70s per run. This idea you remake group between every run is absurd. Invite your friend and go hit them all.
fire arrows are warrior
@Fluffycalico, that is what we did last night and it took an hour. I would prefer not have to sit through that boring fight again.
An hr are you kitten kidding me? he has 0 regen it should take 10min. Also the laser peeps can come over and range after hitting their laser too…
(edited by Fluffycalico.2715)
Nah put 3 people on lasers who are not ranged and use them to bring the shield down. Have 2 people with long range shoot him while it is down from the stairs.
Closer waitpoints are ok only if they put up a magic wall to make you not reenter the fight. This habit of death zerging people have needs to stop.
I am sad that now you get twice as many tokens yet thoughs who ran it correctly did not get extra tokens in the mail. Basically everything we did til now just got cut in half in value. Just as if they had made the items cost half as much would have done to people who already bought the gear.
The main solution is pull aggro. Some ways to do this are aoe or rangers with axes etc. Every group has a way to aggro tons of things at one. Get 4 people to aggro like mad and assign 1 person to guard her against anything that sneaks past aggro
I am having no issues getting my pets to land attacks. They also do a fair amount of damage. As for the comment about rampage as one my pet normally keeps 6-7 stacks on me.
Great way to farm money…TA, CoF, CoE, HotW as they all give you about 70s assuming food and guild MF. Your repairs should be under 10s if you even have any at all as often you will have 0 repair.
Results in about 1.4G per hr and you get to have fun and get tokens while you are doing it.
First when people crunched 1000s of 15 karma items into oranges that were supposed to be thoudands of karma each, then again when people used specific low level yellows to make more precurser legendarys when it was clear those items were not suposed to work to do that. When those items sold for 40g-100g it did not take too many of them to make you a fortune.
People will always find loopholes and convenient methods for reaching their goals. Nothing will ever change that. No matter what ArenaNet does, people will exploit and speed run and all sorts of other things. If they chose to ban or punish everyone who did, they would lose a great deal of their playerbase and they know that. The only thing that will happen for sure is that the well known exploits will be patched. Hopefully they also fix the Magg path while they’re at it because it’s god awful.
Most games have found you loose more players by allowing the exploiters to stay then you loose by getting rid of them.
It doesn’t matter if it’s enjoyable or downright impossible the TOS say’s specifically that you are NOT to exploit ANY game bug for personal gain.
When you first signed into the game you agreed to this. And if they thought it was really a big deal they would’ve hot fixed it immediately and banned people right away……..get off your high horse.
1.4million karma items were sold before they temp banned people for that…
Bypassing content by jump mashing against a wall isn’t what we wanted you to do.
We’ve known about this issue in particular, and are actively working on it.
But are you going to do anything about the people doing it over and over or are you just going to close the hole eventually further teaching exploit quick before its gone that people seem to have already adapted.
I would like to see exploit punishments so people stop doing it every chance they get when a new one is found.
Doah dev beat me to by like 2 seconds lol
That’s strange. I’ve done the Butcher path probably close to 60 times (~20 full runs before the Diminished Returns patch that introduced the bug with the floor in the Butcher’s room, and ~40 partial runs up through the War Shaman fight afterward). But I’ve never seen any silver enemies in the War Shaman’s room at all, let alone ones that respawn.
The bug with the butcher’s room is a fairly recent ‘addition’, though. Up until last week’s patch, I’d never heard of that happening, ever.
.
I ran it tons of times also and I must disagree I only saw them not respawn 1 time ever. I very much think them respawning is supposed to be part of the encounter just like the ice ele on the 2nd ice dragon in path #2. The fact sometimes they did not show up and respawn is what I believe the bug is.
The market will never be right as long as there are players who exploited 1000G+ and got to keep it. Unless this is fixed it will continue to be messed up. But I suppose this makes it like the real world where less than 1% have half of everything
Again it boils down to people are all doing it because they know at worst they will get a 3 day holiday. I refuse to go near that dungeon while this is going on, but most will exploit anything and everything they get the chance to because of the backdown that happened the last 2 times.
Anet has been very good about listening and fixing so far, so we just have to wait.
They have been very good at temp banning people after the damage is done and letting them continue to play after 3 days. They already told exploiters everything they need to know when they unbanned the first 2 batches of them they caught.
read what the skill does
I would rather see people get a few pieces of unearned gear then see the 100s of people with 1000G unearned that we currrently have.
how many of the exploiters you have grouped with have you reported? 0?
Just make it so all mobs that were skipped and are still alive insta port to the boss when you start the boss fight…that will make people stop and kill them instead of leashing them.
1 is only craftable 1 is craftable and available from a dungeon vendor.
Then you also need the battle the explorer the clovers the karma items the ice dragon vendor items, the base item etc etc
I make about 60-75s per dungeon depending on which one. Get yourself some MF food and mf guild boost and go run some 20-30min dungeons. You will have money.
There are 3 mobs that will port back to the WP with you if you die but not chase you and then when you get back they pop back.
Sounds like its working correctly. Someone tried to screw others out of a chest and so they got kicked also. It kept them from kicking you and still getting it themself
I have done all the paths in HotW the first worked fine until the last patch. The other 2 still work fine. I have about 800 tokens from there to prove it. They know about the new bug and are working to fix it.
Well whatever they did they broke it bad :P
That I agree with lol
For now I just do 2-3 til they undo that.

In the very beginning they tell you there are 3 people (paths) looking to control the nightmare tree and that it must be stopped. So yes the tree at the end is on purpose.
Even on explorer mode the cut scenes have info
they already said no
Also what is this kitten reference? I’m trying to figure it out but the context changes so often.
It’s anets profanity filter
Ran CoE last night and took a guy in there who had never run a dungeon. We made it through and he only had likekitten repair. Not bad for his first explorer and a full complete of CoE one of the harder ones. Don’t have to be an elitist to run these.
really five silver =kitten?
“For the submarine path, how do you beat that one input code room? My group had a TON of trouble with it. We beat it, but we died a ton.”
Kill the big bots and then have 3 people aggro all the little ones, 1 person guard the person at the console and the last person commune with the console do this times 5.
Almost everyone I know transmuted over it saying they didnt want to be associated with the people who could only run CoF
