P/p got worse since last patch any melee is better than that lol
We where nerfed on poison damage by a lot and our bleeds also deal little less damage.
Traps deal less condition damage then last week itwas OP I must agree I wrecked every single class in pVP and WVW but come on it made it kind of boring. p/p is crap we need the trap

It has bounce effect, not ricochet. It is a dagger skill, it costs initiative, it gives a little amount of Cripple. The condition damage builds might feel strong for now, but that’s until they decide to tone down the Condition burst.

I have made a build with venoms and traps to intensify condition damage and using pistol skill 1s stealth attack to unload venoms is hektik bro. Its like using p/p again wait till you see the damage you output

If you decide to hold 2 stolen items this build has an OP return on skill recharge bro.
In pvp i would definitly use that in DA.
I switched my weapons around because of this
P/D works the best since skill 3 creates distance and quickly unloading venoms with pistol skill 1’s stealth attack, secondary bring a short bow.
DIRE all around get some precision in there, 34% with fury is enough for sigil of fire and air because it adds up sick.
Sigil of Generosity could help get rid of conditions put it on your SB.
WVW/PVE: Use Rune of the trapper it makes this build too easy to use. Signet of malice is necessary for extra healing and it stacks nice with pistols skill 1 stealth attack
PVP: Use Hide in Shadows for the stealth and to set both needle traps on the enemy. Best thing laying them when enemy is on or before the capture point.
Set up venoms before approaching fight and start casting your healing skill, when it has cast 3/4 use steal on your enemy to deploy your heal skills needle trap on them or in front of them. Use the next needle trap followed by pistol skill 1 before the stealth ends.
To keep distance use skill 3 and skill 2 once you have gained distance.
Using pistols stealth attack to unload venoms is lol.
Applying so many conditions so quickly and unexpectedly is the best thing about this build.
pistol skill 1 and dagger 4 are your damage skills for distant attacking.
All you have to do is lay traps on the enemy after stealing muck around the other traps if you decide to lay more and missed the enemy.
The venoms makes sure any removed condition is back on and intensity is up to you.
You can trait venoms to give might or have stealth on steal up to you.
No more SR or Smoke screen.
If you needed a teleport and extra stealth bring shadow trap, it gives stealth and mad vulna.
This build is all about positioning traps and yourself correctly

Something unusual happened while I was playing my thief in pvp.
I was ganked 4v1 and I downed just before my team got to me and my skills changed yet I was able to move to a better location where my team started to revive me and I was also able to use skill 2 to get into an even better location lol

With ascended zerk/valk rings and rings only. Combined with otherwise full exotic zerk with speed runes, I have 14k hp, 2k armor, 47% crit chance, and 210% ferocity.
However a hp buff would always help, I’m just saying that it ain’t as dismal as you make is sound.
I have ascended zerk with scholar so ive maxed my stats, i was just comparing the full exotic valk and it didnt feel like much of a change its like a lost all the precision for nothing
I figured out a way to maintain health with just a lil over 40% crit chance wvw
In pvp i would use marauders yeah
Still a lot more damage is dealt by every class and not enough being sucked in we all take it and thief takes the most since it has the least hp
I used to respect and admire good Mes players…not so much now. I no longer wish to play this class because the challenge is gone. You know something is wrong when I feel more skillful playing a Skull Crack Warrior than as a lockdown. I think the main culprits are IP being baseline and CS being so good now. Hit one daze and you’ll probably hit them all. Oh, and all the extra blind.
The burden of skill used to be on the Mesmer but now I think it’s the opposite. I’m pretty bummed.

Compared to what lockdown Mes is now it feels like rocket science in comparison. Also, hard to top the satisfaction of hitting a Crack and following with a 100b that deals 20% more damage AND you get quickness at 50%. Shame there’s little reason to bring one when Mes is so easy and strong now.

Withdraw is good but dropping the trap at the end isn’t the best, this lets you position it, don’t need to heal so much from the skill anyway the signet makes sure of that
But you gain that 1 stealth and heal while attacking
Signet of Malice has a 15 second cool down and heals you when you hit, the health restored is enough, why
Because rune of the trapper applies 3 second stealth and 3 second super speed IF
You have Trappers Respite trait from DA + Deadly trapper + Improvisation
So when you use signet of malice you drop a trap and stealth, heal more from stealth
You have 2x needle trap and 2x steal item
Shadow Arts and Trickery like the main p/d build with Dire all around
A few friends tried it and i was sucked in it is sweet so far
Its great that we are allowed to play with the offset spec classes before heart of throns is released
Get used to the power outputs of offspec now and then once wep spec comes in you will know where each class sits at.
For noobs man try make some money while trying new sets you only need 30g for 3 sets

D/p is much more effective than any sword variant, much quicker. Also laying out 3 hits and then being able to get +200 power being revealed makes my gamble more worthy. D/p skill 3 is better than sword skill 2, if you choose roll of initiative you can easily make up in a 1v1

Thief dont use aegis and have less health, no blocks only stealth and hit. Its perfect. Just needs a ranged weapon spec
What do you want to do on a warrior then? If you say condition you’re a kitten
Thief always dropped rangers now mesmers do the same to thieves
Warriors dont have a chance against a thief but a guard will thanks to aegis, blinds,boons

Mesmer is a unique thing i like it but it can take on more than what a thief can and wreck thief too
They can easily have 5-7k more hp than a thief and are a light class with the same defence
Stealth can be like perma its just total kitten until specialisations lol
Anyone else feel like thief doesn’t have enough health LOL?? 15k with valk exotic and come on my precision didn’t even reach 40% raw (no food effects) kitten food..
Mesmer will summon clones and totally annihilate teeeef in seconds

I get that this is the meta before specialisations come out which will change everything again. Mesmers get shield and will probably lose attacks while thief might get a ranged weapon to match up

Guild wars 2 has the perfect world, most amazing combat and the skins are just unbelievable. The best part is you can get your skins by doing whatever you like, unlike wow where you hit max level and grind the same kitten dungeon for a specific legendary/mount 20488588847473 times.
A lot of people on forums probably already have a legendary, are bored and so they forum stalk and talk disrespect because they don’t know what to do now, well stop being a noob and join the wvw and pvp side of the game? I always hear people say how scared they are to pvp cos they get GGed all the time, probably a kid who stole their mums credit card.
Respect the game and enjoy what is made, no one forces you to pay a cent.
Guild wars has a massive amount of free space if you are to blind to see it on the map, to create new areas like silverwastes/drytop. They might even be workin on Cantha or Elona since they are major aspects of guild wars 1, but why would they want to share that with us?

Who thought this was a good idea? You already had elimination TDM in gw1, 3 rounds.EVEN if you add elimination 3 rounds on courtyard instead of the conquest 500 point system, This game doesn’t work with no objectives.. it’s just a no strategy almost no skill required snoozefest.
There need to be catch up mechanics.

Im glad i am noticed and thank you for clarifying that whoever you are. You must not know how to wvw at all. I just played 3 rounds of courtyard 2 wins which where catch ups and the other a loss, now i question everyones ability to play the game LOL
Of course they can modify it, i am giving them my opinion and personal experience. I add the inexperienced players to see if they even play and i will honestly tell you they sit in pve or quit. Since you can rename a player as anything you want i have kept track of so many things…..
