I hope RE on Kain are also turning siege around, wasting supply in towers and keeps, dropping trebs and golems at gates, giving weakness reports to TC, not using anything other than the #1 skill and running away from all fights.

Great fights in KN BL last night!

It was looty-licious!

Even while outmanned we held off kain and TC in the SE tower while superior trebs and catas went down all around us. Since you all refused to come inside, we brought the fight to you a pried the bags from your cold dead corpses.

Serious post: TC has been spoiled lately with the lower tiers. Our muscle memory is starting to return, but today I’ve seen KN zergs in force with numbers rivaling our own, and it’s been an evenly matched fight—we’ve even been wiped a few times.

TC needs more training if we’re ever going to rival T1 servers like SoR, JQ, and BG. Numbers can’t be the winning strategy all the time.

I felt this way facing Ebay and Mag. They lack numbers, but their average player had a solid build and good skill level. It helped refine my warrior build yet again.

Superior numbers tend to bring out folks on their alts looking for some easy xp.

Gotta say, I missed facing TC through all those weeks we were apart. I look forward to see you all this weekend

I know it’s a game. But to be in full control of the situation sometimes you gotta be in full control of the path of the server that it is treading. You just don’t force yourself fighting the invincible zergs of T2 servers which sadly house the prolly now gloating exKNs. Boycott the matchup and let them TC and FA farm each other. Uphold your pride and honor and don’t give them an impression that KNs are walking lootbags.

Kaineng is better fit to fight CD/YB/EBay or prolly Mags. (leaderboard ranking tier) T3-T4 which is quite impressive still after all those exodus from bandwagoners.

Kaineng was T8. Bandwagoners got it to T2. Most of the bandwagoners left and the current KN population is maintaining the server to T3-T4. so from T8 to T3-T4. Impressive still.

Imagine boxing man. a featherweight doesn’t fight a heavyweight.

Again, imbalanced matchups are imbalanced.

Just take time off and let the rest of kain make their own minds up.

I’d rather have the third server show up than pack it in to leave FA vs TC. We don’t have the coverage on our own to keep things from being paper thin all week.

Around 6~7am US Central time, we heard a sudden loud music on our teamspeak.
It continued for couple of minutes and stopped. Everyone guessed that it was a troll and talked about how cool the music was. All of a sudden there was a full-blasting-volumed white noise filled our ears. There was a teamspeak user named “Recursion” who was doing this. Of course he was banned right away. And yes, it was broadcasted not only to our guild’s channel but to the whole server channel.
Many people freaked out and complained about how dirty this was.
I guess we’re glad that it wasn’t a recording of repeated horrifying screams, but come on. Be a good sport.

Yes, this same tactic was used against us when we faced DB a while ago. It lead to the changing of our TS setup.

Have you seen the D/C attack yet? That one is equally annoying.

I think I can answer that.

1. Mags is way below us in rating so hitting them would make our rating go up. I personally dont want to fight the former T1 servers. What they do to us is analogous to what we do to you guys.

2. I trolled Mags in the “why the maguuma hate” thread and said their defense is a joke. I think they decided to make me eat my words by showing they can defend when they have numbers. :P

I dont know. This week has had some really fun fights. (crawls under bridge) except when mags are running away from them.

There is a very contradictory attitude in wvw it seems.

In point 1 you say you don’t want to gain rating so you can avoid higher tier fights, but you are still above FA so you will still have a higher chance if being placed up there.

If your goal is to fight lower tier servers so you can win the week, you should be hoping to drop down the rating ladder a bit. Instead you drop at the same rate as the server below you.

I just think its funny because your SEA coverage is playing beyond your server potential atm and keeping your score inflated. Which in turn keeps you in 5th where you have a higher chance to face larger servers.

You want to keep winning, but you don’t want to face higher servers, but consistently winning will raise your chances to fight higher servers. Vicious circle right? It becomes a fair weather cycle.

I know you guys don’t want to just roll over for anybody, but your mindset should be to fight under any condition, not just do you can stay low and beat lower servers. Didn’t you guys get enough of that in tier 3 for months?

I though the whole point was for DB to climb the ranks and fight the big dogs?

Seems like that dream has been shattered.

Anyway, I appreciate knowing that we were considered a threat to your win this week, but it seems your server composition is your worst enemy at the end of the day if all you want is a win every 2 or 3 weeks.

With these “Blowouts” matches we haven’t been able to rally enough forces to man all of the maps. And when we do get an organized 20 – 30. Mag has very effective coordinated forces to counter groups that size. Just what I have observed, at least during NA time we just need more people on. Hope that gives you some perspective Furious beard.

Pretty much this. I know I haven’t WvW’d personally since Sunday since it’s blowout week I have been catching up on my console games and the DS. Maguuma naturally falls as a lower priority target as they are the up ranked server in this match, FA is more of a threat to our lead.

Not say fighting Mags isn’t fun when we can get them in the open field and not have them run halfway across a zone I really do likes me some Maguuma.

I don’t want to quote your whole post except for the one line about FA being more of a threat to your lead (editing posts on a phone is awful).

I can see your concern with FA being the natural opponent to “win” the week but with your SEA numbers this is an impossibility for us. You gain 10k points between 7am and 2pm every day and we can’t catch up in the evening, even with our strong Oceanic/night crews.

If you are referring to the Glicko, we are both losing rating to Mags so we are essentially tied in that department, regardless of you guys winning the week.

It only partially answers it though since on Tuesday during NA there were about 50 DB on FABL. Not that I’m complaining since we had some really awesome open field fights. I was also impressed by the PYRO group that showed up from Mag who provided a lot of late night action.

I haven’t spent any time in Mag BL this week so I have no idea if there have been large pushes during NA prime time.

So a few things come to mind when you notice one BL staying a solid colour all week.

1. Very strong on defense and nobody can get traction there.
2. By design, people have decided to be on another map to prevent points.
3. Nobody wants to fight them

Mag’s overnight is so bad that a lot of us are jaded on the PPT system, so we tend to just do whatever we want. If that means we take random keeps, so be it.

I wish all the servers had 24/7 coverage, but if that was the case, we’d all be fighting for a tier 1 position.

Fun is always the most important objective, otherwise there would be no point in playing.

I think its the lack of a third server more than anything. Even pressure from both sides would limit ppt.

I’ve noticed this a lot in lopsided match ups.

FA is also coming off two fairly boring and lacklustre weeks so it may take a bit to get the competitive juices going again.

Mag and FA complain about DB’s Sea presence and “night capping”

Mag and FA and DB all accuse each other of 2 vs 1.

Mag and FA accuse DB of just being bad and sucky at everything from zerging to roaming.. etc etc.

Mag and FA accuse DB of being completely reliant on anyone who transfers.

P.S. Most of us who WvW daily don’t even want to be in this match, we’d rather go back to our last match up. Was much more fun despite the score. Though I can’t speak for everyone. ;D
