Probably shouldn’t have had so many recruitment threads these past few months.

Except FA has had no new recruits, just a bunch of fairweathers who’re logging on while Maguuma’s prematurely wallowing in self-pity, apparently.

You would think the “megazergs” running around would prompt DURP/PYRO to post about farming delicious FA bags, but I’ve yet to see either guild in force in game or in these forums.

You’re probably missing them as both guilds have been in present on the field. Try coming to Mag BL if you’re looking for DORK. Though the “in force” you want is probably a raid, and we haven’t done many in the past match ups, win or lose.

We are reaching out to the pve community so they can hopefully have a good experience when they enter wvw for the first time. It’s always more fun to play with a group than alone, especially if you’re new to something. TC is probably one of the biggest servers and has been doing it for ages. It didn’t hurt them if you’ve noticed.

TS is administered very well and I haven’t heard a troll in a long time. Try hanging out in a channel with some friends if the channels with 50+ people are getting to you.

DB and CD, I’m sorry to hear your GvG was interrupted and agree that it shouldn’t have been attacked.

By now, everybody is aware that the spot by the windmill is for duels and GvG.

I wasn’t there, but I would have spoken up if I’d seen it happening.

I’m not a new poster, just an uncommon one. I do visit the FA forums occasionally, but activities to stir up participation only work if the commanders do not make those that do participate feel crappy when things don’t go their way.

I am not stirring up drama, just calling it like I see it. I’ve sat through multiple community meetings and listened to the commanders squabble like angry old ladies, and I watch them do it in community teamspeak and map chat. I’ve listened to commanders berate militia after losing a fight against an organized guild group countless times.

I’m not terribly interested where you think I should have posted it. The things I expressed are neither new, nor have they remained unmentioned. However, they have been ignored.

I love FA, but I am not looking at it through rose colored glasses. We can do better.

Now that’s a post that’s more realistic. I prefer candour over sky is falling so thanks for clearing that up.

And I don’t mean to burst you bubble, but these things aren’t limited to FA. Every server can do better and there are certain people that may not be enjoyable to be around.

I have to wonder why the official forums were your outlet rather than your community ones. That does paint you as someone that would want to start drama.

A fair amount of people I’ve seen are people who took time off for graduation/exams/general-education and are now playing many hours a day again for the summer.

Understandable for people on summer holidays or taking time off. Could be server demographics and a lot of other factors. Not being Anet, all we have to go on is the “full,high,med” total server pops which doesnt even represent wvw exclusively.

TC limits the amount off ppt that DB can earn. Its pretty simple.

How so?

Savage leap – connects 50% of the time but can overshoot and face the wrong way. Terrain level changes of only a few degrees will result in almost 100% misses. Target being below you is the worst.

Rush – Not consistent and overshoots while slashing the wrong way.

Flurry – long delay on cast now which causes tons of big whiffs. No longer reliable and should be a quick cast.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Rampage is nothing but a temper tantrum. It’s too slow and lumbering, you can’t do any real damage while it’s active, and the duration is too short for the length of the cooldown.

Really needs a fix or to be removed from the elites completely.

Final thrust can put up crazy numbers in the right situations. It’s not a guaranteed hit for a reason. My highest crit so far was 10,077 against a thief. Check out the video in my signature to see a couple nice thrusts.

I also don’t believe the bleed needs to go. Keep it.

Also flurry is a great immobilize. You dont even have to do the full channel of it and instead, switch to GS to drop 100 blades.

Who was that 5 man group of DB guardians with a commander in FABL at Cragtop just now?

It was a pretty awesome 5v5 and I got to put the stomp on 4 of you

The commander jumped to his death.

The moral of the story is that when the engineer farts, it smells rather salty & earthy with a hint of shame mixed in.

I can’t get over the amount of roamers from CD chase me halfway across the map until I get sick of them behind me, so I turn around to fight and the first thing they do is turn away and run as soon as they realize they’re not facing an upleveled scrub.

Rush is more broken than before. This skill is so far from 100% reliable it’s probably closer to 40% to hit a moving target.

Add uneven terrain, and it can be 0% chance. It’s more of an escape tool than a dps one. Really, really disappointed with it.

Savage leap suffers the same problems so now its pretty much guaranteed that I never snare my enemies. Being kited AND not being able to land dps or snares on a target is extremely frustrating,

TC is now in a class of it’s own. Tier 1.5

Whenever I see that I’m facing off against a 5 signet warrior, the first thing I think is “easy kill”

You may as well just put a loot bag symbol on your chest and walk in to fights without a weapon equipped.

I have pretty much given up on the axe in wvw due to the lack of mobility and inconsistent 3 ability.

GS is still glitchy on Rush and tends to miss even more than before. But its still my go to.

GS sword/shield with the right traits is probably my overall favourite for survivability.

Overall I really like the sword changes and it fits my gameplay.

I’m the asura you reported as botting (not sure why), I got ported inside the gate, was a little confused, ran to the stairs all the way out of the keep.

I play a necro (as you can see I have signet of locust up), when I was running outside I saw the portal and started yelling people to NOT take the portal, sadly they did

You ran next to the guy that opened the portal, I couldn’t see the guild tag but if you have a better quality recording maybe you can, we don’t like that kind of attitude on our server either.

I didn’t come here to start any witch hunt against EP and merely wanted to state my disappointment in the events. Hickeroar taking it personally was unintended.

The only posts I made in reference to their guild was regarding their commanders initial posts about the topic.

I’m more than happy to leave things alone and Hickeroar and I had a very good discussion in PMs. I don’t know if that is what lead to his deleting of posts, but I hope all parties can put this one to rest.

Yes it sucks, and I would hope that anybody from FA caught exploiting these same glitches and bugs be reported and dealt with by the powers that be.

The commanders that were there were the first people in here to address it in these forums, and I appreciate their respect for us under the circumstances. There was even an EP member (possibly commander) kneeling at our spawn in an attempt to say sorry and that did not go unnoticed. Everybody makes mistakes and if it was not possible to get through that gate intentionally or unintentionally, we wouldn’t even be having this discussion.

I wish others had the same tact that you and some others are displaying.

Report the ones who broke the rules. Respect the ones who did the right thing. Apparently Flashy would rather just have a witch hunt. I fully support reporting people who actually break the rules. The one he reported, along with all the others who ran back out of the keep didn’t do a single thing wrong.

Hickeroar, there’s an appeals process just for this very reason. You seem to be overlooking the fact that the mesmer who actually laid the portal had to run back out over the wall TOO in order to port people in. I realize that you see a fellow EP member there and are going at lengths to defend for that reason. I would too if I saw a member of my own guild there. Yet don’t you think that any reasonable and objective analysis of the situation would indicate that Flashypants was just doing the best he could to bring Anet’s attention to the glitch when it is next to impossible, in the heat of battle, to distinguish who is running back over the wall to lay a portal and who is just trying to take the correct course of action to recover from the glitch?

The correct approach is to simply submit a standard glitching report the way ANet intended it to be done. It is not to report a random player. A whole stream of people ran back up over the wall, and one of them got reported.

That was, and is, my point.

Too bad isn’t it? I told people not to spawn camp and to leave the keep, dropped tag after moving north. Wood keep doesn’t = full upgraded but I did what I could. People are going to do what they are going to do.

You reported the guys who accidentally glitched through and then immediately run up the stairs and back over the wall, then didn’t report the ones who (also accidentally) glitched through but then actually took advantage of the glitch.

Yes, it sucks very badly that it happened, there’s no doubt about that, but reporting a player that is in the middle of running back over the wall because a GAME BUG glitched him through the gate is just as foul as the players who glitch in and exploit the glitch.

I felt sorry for you guys until I saw that you were actively trying to STOP players who were trying to run back out. Your anger, and the obvious mass unintentional game bugging that went on there do not line up.

As far that the extras who did stay inside, i hope they get banned. I just hope there’s no collateral damage with players who were trying to do the right thing.

Can’t report everybody in the heat of the moment. If I could program a “report 20 people in 2 seconds” macro it would be a lot earlier.

The best thing it can do is offer Anet a time stamp for the event if they want to investigate.

Yes this match-up kind of blows for morale, but I think it is important to remember that even if Kaineng finishes dead last this week, we can still gain rating points here! We are not supposed to win this matchup, in fact every point we do take is a win.

Yes it might feel overwhelming to face TC with their superior numbers and so many of our old friends fighting on their side, but it is not a useless fight by any means. It is just time to whip out the Guerrilla tactics. Take that camp. Kill those Dolyaks. Spend this week training for future matches. Don’t look too closely on the overall score, focus on accomplishing the small things, and take pride in doing that.

I have heard of some seriously awesome fights so far this match, so it is really worth while logging in, even though the overall score looks kind of lop sided.

And I hope that everyone can get over the fact that we are now facing friends in the field. No one predicted this, so let’s make the best of the hand dealt. We in Dii also lost several of our core WvW-ers to TC, but you wont see us giving up or hating on the people who opted to leave Kaineng. Nor will you see any Dii-ers “spying” on Kaineng (or on TC), everyone is just playing to have fun and experience the game the best they can.

Even so, Kaineng is still considered to be the worst WvW server because we kinda lack effective strategy dealing with zergs that greatly outnumber us, the lack of people participating in Kaineng WvW, the inability to control our own borderland (heck our kittening garrison got captured numerous times), commanders who have no kittening idea what they are doing or the priorities of controlling important locations (if the garrison or the main EB keep is captured, retaking it is the highest priority no matter what); and of course, Ajax Blue.

I’m planning to transfer away from Kaineng because Kaineng makes it really difficult to do WvW map exploration which I really need for 100% map completion for one character. And considering that Kaineng is stuck on the color red like three to four times in a row, it kinda shows how much fail Kaineng is in WvW.

Look at Vabbi before you claim Kaineng is the worst. :P

Kaineng isn’t bad. They just lack manpower. So those that do play have to carry a lot of weight on their shoulders.

KN im on TC and so far you have met us in the field and fought with us. You don’t have 5000000 AC’s defending a tower like FA. You guys have been the best fights this whole week. I look Forward to fighting yall. Points don’t REALLY matter anymore. Its mostly about having FUN!!! If you can have fun your good!

Do you know why Kain has no ACs?

Because everything they own is constantly being flipped and turned to paper. Meanwhile you guys zerg ball around the map running a karma train and the only thing that keeps you away is 5000000 AC’s.

Just take a look at neomccoy’s video. At no point is there less that 20 green dots in his mini map. That is the TC version of wvw fun

T2 was made imbalanced by the populations at large.

A lot flocked to TC which basically turned them in to a tier 1.5

FA and DB would make up the start of a tier 2 match but have very different coverages so the match is really only decided by ppt while people are at work. Fight wise its ok, but it ends up being a wash since ppt doesn’t prove much.

The next server in line for tier 2 would be SOS most likely, but they need a bit more population to match T2 numbers.

Best matches look to be from 7th rank and down as far as “even” competition goes.

To the thief on Kaineng from [MYTH] in the JP earlier, you are probably one of the worst thieves I have ever fought.

Not only would you not duel me without your mesmer and warrior friend, but i absolutely destroyed you after I talked to your buddy saying you were terrible and he didn’t jump in for one of 5 fights. You’re little homies had to come in and save you before you got stomped, LOL.
