So, rather than posting what I’m snacking on at the moment (primarily because I am on campus and hungry)…

Why do people care so much about all of this? I mean, it’s obvious that a noteworthy amount of people posting here (particularly from FA) seem so stuck on something that is honestly beyond me, causing them to make very hateful and childish posts taunting other guilds. Likewise, those other guilds are bothering to respond, suggesting they, for some reason, actually care what these people think.

Is it an inferiority complex of some sort? Is there some reason to ACTUALLY care that some random, angry person on the other side of the internet might think that their guild has more bragging rights? Better yet, is there some reason to take the bait that people such as Loken post? Also, is there a points system for Forum Wars 2?

All I hear is you US complaining. Right now the playing time for central europe is 2 AM! TWO AM! Do you realize how ridiculous that is ? Even if some players WANTED to join in (i.e. the pug) they will maybe play half an hour then be off. You US players can still pitch out more people than you would have if the reset was at 2 AM for you. In fact now you can have an even better coverage and be less susceptible to night capping because all your people went to sleep and your keeps weren’t upgraded enough and suddenly you lost it because that one server has a bigger night presence.

I don’t understand this attitude you (and others that have posted) have in regards to GvG, so maybe you can explain it to me – why is meeting it the open field more interesting for you than a planned GvG event? You can GvG with the same numbers you want in the open. The only difference I see, is that in GvG you can maintain control on the number of participants and the environment (i.e. no siege and towers).

Am I missing something?

In before comments to divert this to sPvP – you can’t fill up sPvP with the number of people one usually GvG’s with and you can’t put together the same builds based on the lack of gear variety and no foods.

I think there is a reservation because people can record it and do a lot of trolling.

I would hope that any gvg activities bring mutual respect between the servers.

What a blast last night on FABL. FA people were out there in mass. They were so thick we couldn’t bust their zerg for the longest time, not that it stopped us from trying.Finally enough of our militia, that I call the Dogs of War showed up to get us to a bit over half of the enemies numbers and we started having some success. Kudos to ZN for coming in and taking camps and towers aside from our main force, you guys rocked.
A special thanks to FA for putting out a very nice push across FA and TC. Your numbers were near unstoppable on TC from what I hear for awhile.

Which brings me to the FA on the TCBL. Thank you for handing us the Hills when we mapped over and then brashly trying to take it back. Even though you failed it was a blast.

I was on vacation when they introduced WvW rank, and I played pretty much nonstop until I went back to work on April 1st. I think I was 45 or 50 within a week, and then slowed down a little. I’ve worked in a UPS hub for 7 years :P

My belief on this system is that the only way it should be contested is if the enemy is hitting your inner gate. This of course would lead to catapults and trebs in funny places, but it would mean you could get your moneys worth from a waypoint. Otherwise they should just be removed from all keeps.

I was down there for one round of action but my lvl 30 ele didn’t hold up well against the tidal wave of TC rolling off the rez pad over and over. I leave that stuff for the big lvl 80’s. Ill see what i can post though.

I have to admit, I visited the rezz pad once after I was violated. It was a clear, uncalled for violation.

That briar stand off was great! We weren’t going to go in there and let you farm us. BT was persistent with their tricks to get us to rush in too. EDIT: I was just thinking back to how awesome BTs zerg movements are. So fun to watch them swirl around us before the portal comes.

Another great battle on FABL was the taking of North camp. Must have been no more than 10 of us against a perpetual wave of FA zergs and ballistas. Great night last night FA .

Does TSL travel in packs smaller than 10?

Pretty crazy battles yesterday everybody.

My favourite part of the night (and the most stressful) was the huge TC force trying to take red briar in FA BL. 1 treb, 3 cata to take the wall and then a 30 minute stand off at the opening. There must have been 40-60 people swarming all over.

So basically TC is taking more points off Kain than anything else.

I wonder if we will see a FA-KN-TC week 7?

Well, to be fair, it’s a heck of a lot easier to turn their BL green than yours. Your response times are much better, and you actually do mesmer sweeps if we do manage to take something. KN apparently doesn’t even sweep SMC for mesmers; Slashy hid in there and got us into inner literally 15 minutes after KN capped it.

Hmm, i see your point. It’s unfortunate that stuff like that is being overlooked but its really important in order to maintain key pieces of real estate.

My experience with TC in FA BL over the last couple weeks is their continuous pressure. If Kain is experiencing that level of attack on their home BL, i don’t blame them for getting pushed back.

Dragonbrand, I’m not sure how I feel about them. They try. My opinion, from what I’ve seen, their players must have the lowest average skill out of any server I can remember in WvW.

On the other hand, they seem rather fearless. But it’s like being gummed to death by pack of elderly chihuahuas.

I don’t speak for DIS. If our commanders think its worth the time to GvG in WvW they will let you know. All I see is a bunch of hurt feelings from folks who don’t like to lose and look for all kinds of justifications on the forums. You guys are better. Our players suck. We buy wins. We aren’t nice and act mean. We act “holier than thou.” So I’ll just say it straight out – you guys aren’t going to win at WvW with your forum warriors. Whining about GvGs isn’t going to score you points, and really we are quite used to this approach by now and its business as usual for TC. This whole GvG is really quite pathetic.

AoN’s strategy is to run, unless they can win. We all know it. We basically ignore them till we know we can trap them and the rule is, if you die to AoN its because you weren’t where you were supposed to be. That’s why the zerg doesn’t bother turning around to save people. In an odd way, AoN strengthens the zerg.

I do think what they do is effective though, and certainly I have seen them kill larger numbers than themselves. When they are on the BL, we are very aware of it.

Is that why nobody turned to save you tonight?

You must have been checking the map or something because a good sized group of us nabbed you good outside bluevale.

Coined supposedly from SYN when Blackgate showed abnormally animalistic play styles. As a former BG player, and watching them closely. I have never seen this “Beast” that the now BG residence use constantly.

Given by the Anet team themselves, yet “Fort” could be no further from the truth. FA builds their assets out of sticks and leaves, so easy to blow over that you need to be careful when scouting because if you fart in that general direction you will cap yourself a tower or a keep.

“Supreme Oceanic / SEA Coverage”
Supreme in Australia means highest rank. Accordingly when BG and FA use the word “supreme” they are more than likely misinterpret ting the meaning of it, and meaning to use “bad” or “trash”, even “non-existant”.

“Weekend Warriors”
Congrats to both BG and FA! If the entire 7 days was based on the very first 2 days of play, then you would be rank 1 or 2 consecutively almost every week.

“God Worked For 6 Days, And On The 7th He Rested”
BG and FA seem to think the “Sabbath” covers Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. It’s like every day is a holiday!

“We Pay For Transfers – Offer The Most Help We Can”
Out of a 100 man guild, you are guaranteed to get 100g. A big help getting 2.5 players over in the current economy. And they even have the nerve to tell you they will continue funding weeks after they haven’t dropped a single gold.

“We Have To Be Honest – Our Server Has No Recruitment Opportunities Because All PUGS Are In Organized WvW Guilds”
Another case of misinterpretation. I believe BG and FA mean that “there are no recruitment opportunities because we have falsified our recruitment propaganda so much that no one responds to advertisement”.

For the 2 days either server finds itself in 1st or 2nd place within their tier, you receive msg’s from known trolls who run some of the most L337 Brix guilds that go along the lines:
‘Hope you enjoy 3rd place this week’
‘How does the bronze taste’
‘Get used to losing’
But for some reason remain quiet at the end of the week when it’s all doom & gloom when they realize they have bucklies chance of grabbing the coveted number 1 position.

“Aggressive Editing A Video Makes Your Guild / Server Look Boss”
Playing for a whole 3 days just to get 4 minutes of video footage DOES really make you look boss. Especially if you go to tier 8 and do some filming there.

Never appears to them that if you leave something is wrong with the server, and more importantly the community. Or even more importantly, something is seriously wrong with the guilds you need to play with and rely on during your time zone.

Due to unfortunate circumstances on other servers that have led to some simplistic wins, both these servers find themselves playing a tier above the conglomerate skill level.

How interestingly funny. I feel sorry for the server that ends up in tier 2 with FA and BG if this match up does indeed occur one day. That third wheel will really see what 2v1 is when 2 servers who realize they are long lost brothers and their only chance to win is to combine.

So FA and BG should team up is all i got out of that wall of text.

You’re right Ardvark, i have not been enjoying this thread very much lately. It really doesn’t seem like people want a balanced tier two and this is not directed at TC because other people have made the choice to move there en masse.

There has been a grudge against FA well before I arrived here and i think its really unhealthy for people to put so much energy in to always having to beat them both in words and with sheer manpower.

The beginning of this matchup almost 6 weeks ago was fantastic and i wish it could have stayed that way.

I dont have much else to say than to keep an eye on the aftermath of the most recent transfers.

Enjoy your win and be gracious to your competition fellow posters, otherwise there is nothing to separate the attitudes displayed here from those of a bully.

Please dont take this the wrong way but i think some of us are choosing to forget the past. I’m not sure if your a new transfer to FIST or not but didnt FIST (along with other FA oceanic guilds) leave in mass to FA in tier three and completely destabilze it?The guilds that are coming made the decision for the betterment of their guild as yours and many others have and will continue to do so.

I also just want to mention that FA had an amazing week and I really hope you guys keep bringing the pain as its a shame to see you guys lose steam.

Not taken the wrong way at all. Its a fair question, but as people point out in previous posts there could be close to 700 people (edit: guesstimation) moving to TC. When FIST moved it added up to about 7 active daily wvw players.

Even with the oceanics that moved, it does not even come close to the shift that is happening.

This doesn’t even include some FA players that went to TC along with some Kain players as well.

I hope that is not all you got out of my last post.

Well I wouldn’t call it forum wars. It’s all just “oh you’re helping KN, lemme see how I could turn them against you” or “oh you’re recruiting, lemme see how to twist it and say how you’re not helping KN again”. Just a bunch of regular trolls that have a “troll post” written on each and every post in their history. When they don’t have anything to troll about, they get back under their bridge since they can’t post or tolerate nice things.

I am hoping it would make us the semi-competitive server during SEA but not the dominant one (Kaineng still as long as WM keeps playing). If you look at T1 when the game launched or 3-4 months back the coverage all three of us have right now was pretty much T1 coverage. That ceiling of coverage keeps increasing and I think the megaservers will keep increasing (especially if skill lag is fixed – one of the main problems with both EU and NA T1). Todays T1 servers are imo twice the size of T1 servers a couple of months back.

It might make us T1.5 although I would wager its more around the T1.25 area. But a month down the line when hopefully you guys get the few europeans and Kainengs get the NA required that would be the new T2 and T1 would be some other monster all together. Obviously all this rests on the fact that none of the T1 servers implode and looking at the three servers up their right now all three of them are very very stubborn servers.

Just imagine a T2 where PVD does not exist. I can dream.

While I do not care at all about TC getting more guilds, power to you, but I find the whole idea that we all keep cramming more and more people onto the same servers, thus increasing the coverage ceiling over and over, is a horrible, player driven issue.

First is the obvious side effects of constantly messing with our balance. I think few would disagree that one of the good things about T2 is the balance, servers actively recruiting messes that up regardless if that is intended or not.

Second is the ever decreasing enjoyment level of play. Reset night is really anything, but fun. Spend more time waiting in que, the rest of the time waiting for a skill to go off. Get’s better later in the week, but still when two big zergs collide they are so big it creates skill lag across the entire map. Why would we want to make that more the ‘norm’?

In the end this particular situation does not matter to me. Naga had some nice people, so be nice to see some of them again. I do think however that players themselves are making the game worse with their constant strive to get better by getting bigger.

I guess some folks will do whatever it takes to win… even if they step on their friends to do it.

This week TC attracted some coveted night-time guilds, and I say good for them. FA will do what it has always done: hang in there, adapt, and keep fighting.

I think the point is that while FA was behind 10k points at the beginning of the week last week there was no thoughts on “oh no they’re behind, let’s help them recruit.” I, for the life of me can’t understand why? I don’t understand the pity party for another server being slightly behind. Let the chips fall as they may and let’s get out of those towers and smash each other into pixellated dust.

FA doesn’t have to like it, but you aren’t going to stop TC from helping out Kain. Why don’t you guys keep that fighting spirit in the game.

I think you misunderstand the FA philosophy when you say stuff like this. Kain can recruit whoever and whenever they want. That’s not a question. And we will fight whoever and whenever they are on.

But it puts Kain in a funny spot. You treat them like children when they are not. And then when a players suggest its given some time, they get attacked for even speaking.

Come on guys and gals. You can’t control everything and not get called out for acting like a sow.
