I’m not sure Tier 2 servers would be of much help for you. We have nearly as many players are tier 1, but we are much much more attractive.

the lower you go on the current list of North American servers will probably be a touch easier on your computer, but ultimately you may need to upgrade your rig a bit.

Just want to pop in and send a huge thank you to TC and FA who fought in EB last night. That was incredibly fun all night long.

TC / KN zerg clashing just north of ANZ, was most enjoyable (you drove us back to the dredge, but battle lasted about 5 mins). Huge props to both commanding on the clash, I saw coordinated re stacking on both servers and ring around the rosey style movement avoiding as much red circles (or should I say standing in 1 versus the spots with 10+). In any event, big props to all involved there.

Also had some fun memorable moments out by golanta and the hylek, I was the lone war scout watching that path, and more than once was caught by the FA camps squads. One time, I was trying to check out the new menu and how it relates to the map (I get on late), and was hitting my oh $hh! buttons to no avail. Gave me the appropriate kick in the pants to pay more attention to my surroundings, as things were flipping like a hotcake shop during breakfast.

What we are seeing on TC, I believe is the power of the RPer and I mean that as a high complement.The bars, beaches and hot springs have more than likely been emptied to join in on some new WvW content.In my humble opinion, it’s a hoot seeing them taking the time to enter the war.
It’s almost as if TC warriors have been battling for weeks, waiting for reinforcements to arrive and they finally did to help turn the tide of the war.It’s doubtful that it will last being everyone enjoys the game the way they play it but for now, it’s fun.

That being said you really need to update your kill total.If 6400-6500 kills is all you got then you do not want to mess with TC folks like me sir, or most TC for that matter.

Haha its all good. For me being a casual gamer on a warrior that does not have high aoe damage I think 62xx kills is pretty impressive.

I know mesmers that are in the 13k range but I’m not overly concerned with total kills.

I’m sure we’ll see each other out there and it will be glorious.

I’m not sure about that. Kaineng’s oceanic is as strong as ever, shown by the current PPT.

Its their strongest time zone when they have less folks to fight against, of course their ppt is high.

Still some skill lag to resolve but its a huge improvement. From small 5v5 battles to clashes of 100+ people, I could see everything last night.

Ya there were zerg balls, but there were ALWAYS zerg balls. Now you can see them

In fact 5 people held off 30 TC at the north supply camp until about 15 showed up to assist in the defense, so you can still have some insanely fun battles.

Its exactly what Anet intended and explained from the beginning. So if following through on what you said is fail, then you are confused on how things work in the world.

They clearly said it wouldn’t be a dramatic power up as far as the buffs were concerned.

Yes spring break has certainly had an impact and also needing to recharge batteries. All 3 servers have been going hard at each other for 3+ weeks.

For me personally I needed to get some new weapon skins so I had to dip in to some pve (it wasn’t that bad). I’ll be back now that the patch is coming and I can get skins through wvw

Alliance of the Forgotten Seas is a South East Asian guild that’s focused on World vs World.

Where are we from?

We are currently located in Sea of Sorrows, however have decided to move on from this server due to recent events that happen to the server.

Who is AFS?

We are a small guild with about 300 members currently and field around 20-30 people during our primetime on weekdays while during weekends we have atleast 50 people on before, during and after our primetime.

What is AFS?

We are not like other larger guilds where instead of zerging down our enemies, we preffer to keep our precense on field as low as possible and perform behind enemy lines and play with our enemy’s minds. To those who have played with us know how well we do just that.

What kind of server are we looking for?

Although many have asked or requested us to speak with thier server representatives, we preffer to make things simple and only request three things from any server that is interested in our services.
1.List the number of Active SEA guilds in your server.
2.Give examples of how those guilds have worked together in the past (for example produce a short 3-5 min video of yourselves).
3.Show us examples of how that server’s community is Strong and supportive of the guilds which participate in WvW for them.

AFS does not wish to be offered gold/money when we decide on transfering to a new server, we however wish for that community of that server to cooperate with us on the move when it happens.

If you are on SOS then you may recall fighting against Fort Aspenwood as recently as a month ago. We have continued to make our presence felt in tier 2 and would love to bring more talented people in to the fold.

My guild Armored Fist operates in small groups and prefers to disrupt enemy supply lines, camps and provides resistance to larger forces.

I originally moved from IOJ when it was going through some troubled times and I found an amazing home here in FA. They were a very like minded WvW server who had been enduring the same fair weather players as ourselves. When we made the move, it considerably strengthened our WvW core and we advanced to Tier 2 where we have held our own for 3 straight weeks.

If you’d like to join a group of players that will appreciate your contributions and work towards setting you up for a good evening, our strong NA team would love to provide support for you.

What happens when everybody has maxed out supply holding. Will you then need to capture and drain TWO supply camps (as a large group)?

I can see the advantage during a siege but that is something the commanders will have to adjust for.

Everybody paid the same money for this game and can play it how they like, they can boast if they want and they can brag if they want. Just because they don’t hold your viewpoint on group play being what GW2 is all about doesn’t mean they should get a tongue lashing from you.

So I finally got around to posting some of the fights from FA BL from earlier this week, one of which is the infamous underwater golem fight. I didn’t capture the entire battle but that may be a good thing. Visit my youtube channel to check them out.

In roughly 2 hours all 5 uploads should be done. Raw and uncut. I would suggest not visiting until the 2 hour mark has passed. So far the short uneventful vids made it up.

I never said anything to the contrary. My point is that the notion that only being in a FC can make you a good roamer or duelist, or that anyone running with a zerg is an unskilled player simply isn’t true.

As I said… if you want to be a good duelist, don’t go to fight clubs, get out there and roam for real. Because that will give you a proper kind of challenge, since roaming is a highly unpredictable business. AND you get to be actually useful to the team, since you can also scout around and report stuff.

And again… do the fight club if that’s your thing, and you’re not taking up slots. But observe the #1 rule and shut up about it. FC-ers have no business talking down to anyone, since even the least skilled zergling is actually more useful than they are. Simple as that. Play as you like, but don’t act like that makes you better than “those dumb zerglings”.

I thought you might think I was criticizing you personally with that last part – I wasn’t, even though I quoted you so – my bad for the misunderstanding.

I was addressing the type of player who participates in FC’s and then acts elitist towards their fellow team members. We even have an example here of players repatedly rezzing their teammates which interrupted a FC so that they could be killed over and over by the other side.

Now, do you think that sort of attitude doesn’t deserve at least a terrible tone in forum post? Makes me wish there was such a thing as banning players from WvW.

I have participated in a few fight clubs and they generally stop when one of the players is in a downed position. Their team mate is then allowed to res the downed player so that they can reset for another fight. This helps to speed up the process instead of reviving a completely downed and stomped player.

If a duelist thinks that they are better than another player, then they should be able to back it up when called on it. If they ARE that much better then they deserve props for their skill.

On that note, I don’t believe you can compare a group player to solo one because their focuses are different. On one hand you have a player that needs to be completely self reliant which will dictate their skill selection. Group players of the same class may not make the same trait choices because a member of their team will fill that weakness in their build.

Both types of play and players should be given respect. A solo player shouldn’t generalize group players as being unskilled unless they have engaged in a group duel to prove the claim.

Its like comparing apples to oranges.

So TC has cut roughly 6k points off our lead since yesterday afternoon.

Hopefully we can widen that gap a bit again. Kain seemed to have switched focus to us yesterday in order to assist in a tighter 2nd and 3rd and systematically increased their overall lead by another 10k.

Must be nice to secure your position so early in the week and then pressure whomever you want after that. Very cushy.

It depends on the type or reputation you are looking for. If you are judging by forum warriors alone, id say its a narrow viewpoint. Some groups tend to have more PR than others but are subject to the same trolls, botters and exploiters as the rest.

Guesting on other servers will give you a good idea of what to expect.
