[SUGGESTION] Mistforged weapons

GWMO.4785

I had a similar post some while ago. I support getting Mistforged weapons back in any possible way. An other possibility idea is to add gift of Heroes in a different reward track. Or make a recipe for it. Don’t really care how or what, as long as it returns somehow.

Hardened leather section

Get 250 of thick leather. Buy 1 hardened leather. Add 5 pile of crystalline dust to it, and philosopher’s stones. And forge between 10 – 40 hardened leather in mystic forge. Recipe counts for both sections and squares

Why? Well… thick leather section is all over the place. You get it dropped pretty much anywhere. So it’s super easy to come by. And same for crystalline dust. If not just salvage 2 or 3 ecto’s. Philosopher’s stones will just cost you 1 spirit shard, so no worries there either.

You’re welcome

Fall scream

GWMO.4785

Kinda noticed that my character doesn’t scream (anymore) when he/she is in a free fall. Like when you fall or jump down from a platform, loosing attitude. I have looked and changed some audio settings. But non of these fixed my problem. Anyone having similar issues? Or know how to solve it?

i think a better way of doing this would be to scale the weapons (and more items) more properly depending on the race

Situational. Depending on the setup of my character(s). Cause fashion wars 2 \o/ I also noticed that some items are not positioned properly. That kinda bugs me out sometimes when i try to match a set for a character

Invisible Shoes! What the?!

There are 3 shrooms in DS and one in all 4 other HoT maps, so I guess you meant 7 chances a day…

Oh they added more? was like 3 during the period i was hunting it. Or those where the ones i knew back then at least. Proofs how long it has been since i have been hunting them XD

The deal is, GWMO, I’m farming them since (over) 14 months now. Atleast 3 Mushrooms every day. With the shrooms in Dragon’s Stand and Bloodstone Fen about 1500 Mushrooms in total. Or in other words: I failed 1500 times. I lack of endurance, trying it further.

Which is why i said that going for the first option would be better. aka buy it from the trading post. I mean it is not a common drop. you can farm forever. But who knows when you will get it. Likewise making gold is very easy in this game. You can pretty much turn everything into gold. That aside Wintersevent is still up. I’m pretty sure that is the easiest way (maybe boring. i’ll admit that) to make gold while it lasts.

Invisible Shoes! What the?!

The invisible “shoes” is acquired only in 2 ways:

1) Trading post. Yes they are for sale. But it’s expansive as -insert THE word here-, because:

2) It drops from invisible treasure mushroom. which walks around at 3 locations:
- Southwest of Verdant Brink
- East of Auric Basin
- Dragon’s stand after completing the meta chain event.

However you need Nuhoch Stealth Detection Mastery, (which everyone has by now) tho the problem is that has a very small chance for a drop. And much like champions / worldbosses. The reward is daily. So you only have 3 chances a day. I was hunting this shroom everyday some while ago. But had no luck unfortunately. I don’t know about the facts and numbers about the droprate. But i’m kinda sure its somewhere close to a precursor if not the same. Hense why i think it’s better to go for the first option.

Anyone know what to do with it? It has been sitting in my bank and i figured to grant it to a guild i might join later. however so far i have no plans on doing so. and neither do i want to keep the item. Also trashing it would kinda be a waste imo.

I heard people are selling decoration some how. But i have no idea about the value i can get for it, and if it would be safe. In the sense of scamming. Suggestions?

(Infinite) Omnipotion

So patch is released, new fractal and what not. but with this came a new potion. Wiki has extended their data on it. But it only shows some fractals mastery points along side the recipe on how to make it. Not a description on what it actually is/does.

Presumably it gives all 3 the effects of the Offensive, Defensive and Mobility potion. But i would like to be 100% sure about it before i make it. So my question would be: has anyone already got their hands on it? If so, what does it actually do?

I like to be different.

I always motivated people to do their own thing. So i like what you have been doing here. Not saying meta is bad or something, but often i hear people saying “go meta, and everything outside of that is wrong”. Going back to your build i would make a few tweaks tho. How about you use sword/sword in one set and scepter/shield in other. Swap Persistence of Memory for Compounding power in illusions and Improved Alacrity for Illusionary Reversion in Chronoline. This way you have high illusions uptime so might want to swap healing too. And finely swap Divinity rune by Scrapper?

ToT-bag in Black Lion Chest

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

GWMO.4785

Idk, don’t really mind the ToT-bag. But that is if they did it differently. As for now the first slot is a guaranteed drop. additionally there is a CHANCE that a 4th slot opens for something extra. I believe this is only for skin (correct me if i am wrong). Instead, if they just kept the 3 slots open for all kind of things and added a 4th sloth for the ToT. Then it would have been fine in my opinion.

Regardless, it would be nice if a dev could respond to this topic in terms of how long the ToT-bag will last in the chest. Or if Anet just forgot to remove it, so we have an official answer and know “what is up”

Asura: Cute but... Not Cute

I notice what asura look like. I may not always compliment them on it, especially if they’re just wearing ascended armour (I think the full set together looks a bit of a mess, although the individual pieces are ok), but I often pay attention to how other people have designed their characters.

I personally like to play asura couse of their lore and “lifestyle”. regardless if the looks are you are after here are some examples in 3 weights (heavy, med, light) that might inspire you. Also you can have a look at gw2style.com. many people “showoff” their characters there.

So, Halloween has past. However the Trick-or-Treat bag still remains as a guaranteed drop. I expected Anet to remove this on the 8th nov. patch. But that did not happen. Did they forgot about it, or is it intended this way?

Mistforged weapons / Gift Of Heroes

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: GWMO.4785

GWMO.4785

So as the title is clear as how it could be (i geuss). I was wondering if there are any plans for these. With the recent patch I was capable of getting my hands on a Hero skin(s), but lets be honest. Most people that like these skins aim for the mistforged ones.

Additionally I do know that these where suppose to be wvw tournament exclusive. And yes i do know that they wanted wvw to be in a good state before getting new wvw tournaments. However it has been over a year (yeah i have been waiting for that long. if not longer). And again with the recent hero reward track. I really got my hopes up to get my hands on mistforged skins. Pretty sure more people think/feel the same way.

Feedback on HoT Stress Test [merged]

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: GWMO.4785

GWMO.4785

Overall experiance:
First thing that i noticed is the FPS drop. I already had this from the 16th March patch. But my drop was even more in the beta. Second was the lags. But i cant tell for sure if it was caused by the stress test considering i had lags now and then during the whole day. (No its not my connection. that is working perfectly fine)

New class (prof):
Started with the Revenant class. I was kinda afraid that it would be kinda simulour as the other two heavy classes. But as it turns out, it feels very different. So i am happy to see this. However the hammer felt very slow in my opinion. Warrior for an example swings the hammer like its nothing. Sure it’s a two handed heavy weapon. But some possible tweaking might be good. Rather that’s increasing the speed on the revenant or slowing down the casting time on other classes that are able to use the hammer.

Beside that i am curious if the Revenant will be able to use more legends? If yes, how is this going to work? Will you be able to choose legends if there are more? Kinda like choosing a pet on ranger’ish? Or will this be determined by the traits or something?

Environment:
Felt very dynamic, looked great, events (adventures) where fun to do. Gets an A+! All thought it was very short. But on test like this its not about doing story, but about finding buggs / issues in the gameplay and such in my opinion.

Enemies:
They are definitely “smarter”. I had a good laugh when i saw couple of them picking up an unstable explosive and trowed that back at us. Me and a couple friends dropped this near them just to see what they would do. I also noticed that the enemies that are easier to kill are dodging. But i think this still can be improved. In the way of knowing how to encounter you (like a thief is using dagger storm to encounter ranger’s rapid fire) and dodging more often.

Final note:
I enjoyed testing out the HoT beta. Didn’t really find any bugs and such, so i think that Anet did a great job. Looking forward for more testing and of course the expansion itself.

PS: Please give the Thief Greatsword as weapon specialization I know rumors are that it will get the rifle. But this doesn’t add anything to the thief. Sure long range sniper’ish. But that is not what the thief stands for. The mobility, spawn in and out, bursting foe’s down, assassin’ish. That is what the thief makes unique and fun to play. Thus greatsword would fit here perfectly in my opinion.
