Lol! That’s Canach? Ridiculous! Yes, Shiro was awesome. I didn’t pay too much attention to him or the story of factions, just whatever the cut scenes gave me. He was very formidable to fight though. His life steal / teleport was crazy. The Mursaat were great villains too. I would love to see some throwback villain related to guild wars 1. They had some good ones. maybe a profession shows up from gw1 that you cannot be. As Shiro was a super assassin I think we should have someone show up that’s insane. Like a super warrior or something who dual wields great swords or something unobtainable to us. A sgular entity that far surpasses our abilities. We have a few in game, such as the centuar elementalist and some other reference I can’t think of right now. I believe Anet needs to look back at old school villains from RPG’s and replicate that feeling. Sephiroth is always a good example, he was a friend who turned his back on you and had immense power. You wanted to be him, and you hated that you couldn’t.

We just need a powerful and cool looking unique enemy that decimates something we were working towards and leaves to go about his own business. Like say we finally FINALLY save all these refugees and establish peace among them and the Karka. Then one person comes in and annhiolates them all and burns the settlements down because they were interfering with his plans somehow.

All those months layed to waste by this one person. We as characters have not felt loss. We choose to do something and we win, and continue winning. Its getting stale. We cannot be Superman and be invincible, we need to be shown that even as powerful as we have become, there are things we cannot save, and fights we cannot win.

Largos breathing mask customization would be cool. House wouldn’t effect it any more than the charrs legion effecting their horns. And perhaps they would still have the additional breathing mask as sort of an attachment to their mask/face

I believe the best and most profitable solution for them would be to release all of the gw1 armors in the gem store. They could do it in installments. I loved a lot of those looks (minus ranger)
The reasoning for this would be that
1: they don’t have to think of new armors
2: it makes them a ton of money
3: it wouldn’t take that much effort to do. Just make them higher quality and to fit the new races.

For heavy armor on my charr, I have my normal survival set that looks pretty beefy and plates, then I recently put together a DPS set and used the “named” chest armor, which is the 2 belts across the chest, to reflect that I have no survivability with that set on.

Indeed it would be I read a little of your other posts for new armors, which I agree with. I mean, even an open chest trench coat style I would accept for male characters, females for the same armor could get a corset underneath (Like the krytan)

BUT! If it somehow tracks everything you do and gives credit for it, I’d be all for it since your entire contribution to the party will be noted. If you’re kiting a boss while the rest of the team pounds on him, you should somehow get credit. Maybe some damage received per death ratio of some sort or time holding veteran or stronger rank mobs’ aggro, etc.

What the system I proposed does is give you your info without the ability for others to see the results. That way people can’t go “that guys DPS sucks, kick him!” I suppose it could grade you on a total percentage of contribution and have that as a total running score?

The scores listed are your percentages in the group. Meaning that you were doing 60% of the entire parties damage.

Why wouldn’t the results depend on teammates? Team support is what its all about isn’t it? Without others to compare the results to there isn’t a point and you’re left with the same info you have in your combat log. The percentage would be how much you co tributed for the team. If you run multiple dungeons you’ll see patterns of if you’re higher in certain areas than others.

Oh! Actually I deleted my male norn mesmer because I couldn’t hide my chest armor/ no chest armor revealed his tattoos. The most revealing was one of the norn cultural armors and it barely showed anything.

Unfortunately the armor artists have all vanished or something, because only 3 sets have been added since release. A quicker fix is to be able to hide the chest. Not that I particularly care about it, but I’ve always liked the look of a bare chested character with shoulders and gloves. This is mainly for people who want a more rugged look or who hate the 100% trench coats on leather. There are no revealing leather chests on males making norn tattoos moot zing!

Anywho, back to the shoulders, I love the sorrows embrace light cone thing, but hate the castle wall. I’d love to just sport the single shoulder.

All races will not be servants of Asura! Golems are much more efficient and less clumsy.

I feel that the top row (minus the first face) could all be pretty young faces, the far right looks pretty sly and possibly young adult.

Good look. Sorry I haven’t added mine yet, had issues when I got home. Lol my warrior is my favorite by far, but my ranger is alright too now for not being 80. A mix of cultural, dungeon, and gem store to try and make him as “steam punk” as possible. Im still not satisfied with his colors, but I’ll get to it someday.

^ that way it is only a tool that you can use to improve yourself into what you want to do.

I think if such a thing existed it should show everything that only you did in contribution to the party in a percentage format only after the dungeon is completed.

Even though I’ve dumped a ton of gold into the gifts I currently have, I would love this style of questing. Possibly even an extension of your personal story missions. Im a Charr warrior of the Iron Legion and I’m after the Predator. I would love to actually craft it at a table at the end, like the cut scene when I created the Ghostbore musket. I want it to feel like an achievement, and I want to see my character make something of legend. The current method is boring “throw these 4 things into the forge, now throw these into the forge, now throw the items you got back from the forge back in. Hey look at that, its a legendary, grants for the forge just spoofing it into existence”

I know there’s threads like this in existence, but has anyone suggested 2 check marks on shoulders? I believe this would give us a bunch of new looks if we could hide individual sides of the shoulders. Also a chest piece hide check mark. I know the counter argument is “People will abuse it on female characters!” And my reply is “who gives a kitten?” They have underwear to cover them up.

I don’t see why its being overlooked at all, other than to give certain builds an edge over others in wvw. Hey, I can’t say much for it being changed, but if you ever see me on and need a person for a dungeon (NA) hit me up. I also believe they changed the jumping puzzle in WvW to account wide daily chest but I haven’t researched that yet. Just something I heard in passing to dishearten me on my own progress. I’ll most likely be on Klout Steamsaw, and I’ll probably have a ranger tagging along my brother just started playing and im teaching him the dungeons when we run one.

I undercut a lot to try and get items faster if I need a large quantity of something. If I need to sell things however, I usually just match the price or sell now.

But overall I can see them being lazy and making the Karka queen a re texture of the jade maw, and you kill little Karka and grab their shells to reflect Karka beam attack.

Bleh. If open world agony is coming so they can force a gear grind, I guess I might as well start doing fractals even though a despise it.

sigh I was wondering why the dye system changed to balls before release. I really wish that they could stay in their phylosophies. Is this the reason for the entire living story also? Sheer profit from the gem store and no development towards an expansion? Milk GW2 until it dies vs develop the story and give people meaningful content?

Yep. I feel this way also. I’m in a relatively small guild who usually has anywhere from 1-9 members on at a time. 9 being rare, however most of the larger guilds on the server require 100% rep or expulsion. Its very disheartening.

Yeah. I loved the early stuff where its interesting and filled with differentness. The Sylvari ones felt kind of dull but still gives you a sense of wonder. I also like that there are bits of stuff from the early on stuff that show up in Order. Like the mirror and the … what’s it called… really old energy something.

I too am getting bored. I’ve beaten the story, made 6 alts, got them to 80 and geared out. Don’t feel like joining a big guild to do their mandatory 100% rep requirement. My brother just got into the game so I enjoy playing with him, but by myself I’m just bored. I log in, chat with guildies, log out. I fear they’ll just keep doing temp content, so if I leave for a while and come back, nothing will be new.

Why do you think big guilds automatically have 100% rep requirement?

Because all the large guilds on my server ask to rep 100% of the time? And the reasoning is because there isn’t a “last logged on/ repped” feature for guild management. Thus its rep or expulsion.
